  1. We read the reviews — all of them we can get. For each plumber serving Old Greenwich we pulled up to 100 recent reviews from Google, Yelp and BBB and read the full text. For this page: 72 reviews across 15 businesses.
  2. Patterns beat anecdotes. A plumber moves up when independent reviewers keep describing the same behavior: showing up when promised, quoting before working, work that holds. One rave changes nothing.
  3. Complaints count double when they repeat.Surprise fees, missed appointments, pressure sales — when the same complaint appears across reviewers (or across platforms), it caps how high we'll rank a business regardless of its star average.
