Jake was great! He was very professional and explained everything he was doing. Jake was also polite and good with my dogs. He also did a wonderful job with the work he performed.
Aaron was our professional technician. My original call was for 3 issues but after 2.5 days at my home, we realized there were 6 issues. 5 of the 6 issues I would not have been able to fix/repair on my own with basic maintenance. He assessed the issues and gave me multiple avenues with different varying costs. Not everything was an emergency, however, most issues would eventually become a bigger problem. I am so happy he was able to get here the same day I sent an inquiry. This is my 4th time using Roto-Rooter in the last 3 years and I am always appreciative and glad they are as professional and candid with me. I will continue to use them for future repairs. Cost does seem high at times, but their warranties and quick turnaround are not beatable by their competitors. They are the best.
Huge thanks to Jake from Roto-Rooter! Our 2004 water heater started leaking early Monday morning after the Super Bowl, and he was a lifesaver. Even though his partner was out sick, Jake handled the entire basement install solo—including welding new pipe work and securing all the permits. He was fast, finished in just a couple of hours, and left the place spotless by taking all the old packaging with him. He even took the time to walk me through the maintenance. He added that they also do water damage restoration if I needed it. Truly professional one-stop service.
Called for 24 hour emergency service and was told they would be there by 9pm at latest. Called at 9pm as hadn't heard from them and was told no one was available and did I want to reschedule for next day. No one even called to tell me they weren't coming!
DO NOT TAKE YOUR MONEY HERE! Last year we called in for a sump pump replacement. They sent Bill, who is 70+ years old out to the house to get the work done. He sits with us and we tell him that we cannot afford a back up to our new sump pump, but would like the new sump pump to be capable of obtaining a back-up in the future when we are ready financially. He agrees, and puts in our new sump pump. No issues here that we knew of. 8 months later, our power went out and we called again for a cleanup and a back up to be put on. The operator on the phone explains he will have the parts on the truck ready to go so when he gets to the house he can quickly install and move on to the next job. Bill arrives at the house un-prepared and explains he needs to get the parts needed to complete the job. As he leaves, he damages our light post up front of our house. When returning, he says he will pay for the damages and that is something we can contact the company for. He then proceeds to put in a whole new sump pump with a battery back up, takes our 8 month old sump pump out and charges us for everything, including not taking off the warranty of the last sump pump we just got from this company not even a year prior ($609.82). To add, I helped carry the materials in since Bill is older and is not very capable of carrying the sump pump and battery down our stairs that lead to the basement. I had to sit there and hand him tools and assist with installing the sump pump, then Bill proceeds to charge us the full service fee of a 1000 dollars for a simple sump pump replacement. As he finished, the Cleaning Service they offer arrives and says we have exponential damage to our walls and flooring. They said we can call this a main line clog instead of a sump pump failure that inflicted these damages, and that insurance would cover all costs. I was very skeptical and new to this process so I began calling my insurance to double check after they left. Here to come find out, this was something that is not covered as I had already assumed, and that if we were to go through with the process, we were going to be out of 8K dollars for a cleaning crew we cannot afford. They wanted to get "machines" in our basement to begin dehumidifying the area. Once they got their machine and people in, nobody could cancel the contract, leaving us with that bill and not our insurance like they said would happen. After finding this out, Ben ( a member of cleaning service owned by roto rooter) received a call questioning what is really going on, leading my wife to talk to the owner who was also apart of pressuring us to let them work without even contacting our insurance company. Once she got off the phone I told her we are not going through with their scam services. We then contacted the company about our complaints in not being transparent through the process, how they were trying to pressure us to get them in sooner than later after not contacting our insurance company, pay for the damages they did to our property, and take back some of the service fee since I assisted in the installation. After being tossed around their company for weeks, we finally got through to the owner who was already apart of our main issue throughout this whole process. The owner Hussein says its Bills word against ours, and that Bill said he never hit our light post out front and that he did all the work installing the sump pump. Bill said he was also very transparent throughout the process as well. The owner said we could receive out warranty back from the pump we got 8 months back (the $609.82), but could not do anything unless there is proof of Bill hitting our property or me carrying things in for him. So we had to go next door to our neighbors to obtain camera footage of Bill hitting our property! This has been about a month long process of just going back and fourth with this company and we are fed up at this point. Be very careful about this business as they are not there to serve the customer!
I had a very frustrating experience with Roto-Rooter. I scheduled a service appointment to have my kitchen sink unclogged, and was given a time window between 2–6 PM. At 4:07 PM, I received a message, followed by another at 6:29 PM saying I was “next in line.” Despite this, no one showed up. When I called at 7:45 PM to check on the status, I was told that other jobs had been taken and prioritized over mine, which was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. To make matters worse, at 8:30 PM they finally called—not to say someone was on the way, but to inform me that no one would be coming at all and asked if I wanted to reschedule. After hours of waiting, I declined. The representative then abruptly hung up on me. This was a complete waste of my time and showed a lack of respect for customers. I would not recommend their service based on this experience.
Stephan did an absolutely amazing job—especially given the late hours (10pm–12 a.m.). He was incredibly helpful and took the time to explain everything in a way I could easily understand. He carefully snaked our basement floor drain after we noticed water backing up from the washing machine and quickly determined that the issue was actually coming from the main line. On top of his technical skills, Stephan was incredibly kind, patient and respectful of our home. His professionalism and genuine care really stood out. I couldn’t recommend Stephan more. He’s the kind of technician you hope for when you call for help—skilled, trustworthy, and truly customer-focused. We will absolutely be requesting him again for any future plumbing issues.
I had a great experience with the technician Robert who came out to fix my plumbing issue. He really took his time to properly diagnose the problem instead of rushing through it. He ended up having to remove the toilet to fully investigate what was going on, and he carefully worked through everything until he found and fixed the issue. His supervisor also came out and was very helpful and informative. They both took the time to explain what was happening and made sure everything was working properly before leaving. I truly appreciate their professionalism, patience, and thorough work. It’s hard to find people who take the time to do things the right way, and this team definitely did. Highly recommend!
Van came out to see our water heater problem. He told us we needed an electrician first to do things right. He helped us book an electrician for the next day. The next day the electrician completed his work and then Van proceeded to complete the hot water tank installation. He was methodical and careful. He did a nice job even though it took longer than everyone thought. That was no problem for us. I am satisfied with the work done.
Robert was able to fix our broken pipe. Solomon couldnt do it for some reason and called excavation to come in but they then deemed it not necessary and called for another tech, Rob, who came amd fixed it within an hour. It was late at night he didnt wake our toddler and I also appreciated the little booties he put over his shoes to not track in dirt and germs. He was confident in his skills and fixed our emergency. Thank you Rob!
Jake and Drake were very hard working. Informed us of everything the whole way through. Took time to find the right location for our replacement tankless water heater that was not just out of the way but up to code and easy to access. When they finished they cleaned everything up and took the old unit out. They went over everything we needed to know to maintain the water heater. Very professional and communicative. Thank you guys!
Jake (Lawrence ) did an excellent job installing a new water heater. He was on time, professional and pleasant. My first impression was "Trustworthy" and indeed he was/is. While I'm sometimes hesitant to use Roto-Rooter, this experience built trust. I'd definitely want him to come back if other jobs pop up ( LoL and hopefully they won't, but... Life happens). He is an excellent representative for the company. B
Andrew the service technician was very polite and was knowledgeable and offered tips for the future. Ben the camera guy was also very polite and showed me the drains. Andrew and Ben were honest and only charged what was necessary. The cost was reasonable as they were out on a Saturday within less than two hours to a clean the drains and unclog the toilets and sink.
I had such a pleasant experience with Jake this afternoon, number 807 I believe. Jake was very knowledgeable and professional during our encounter - you can conclude he is not new to the trade. What was impressive was his genuine belief in the organization he works for, that’s not very common today. Thanks for the visit today.
Rob was amazing today. He actually helped us above and beyond and both supervisors with cameras came were super nice and the second one did a great job helping us figure out the problem. And explain the issue with the pictures. Really appreciate the Roto-Rooter service and we would recommend them every time to everyone
