Luke and Joe came back less than a week after installing a water heater that was now leaking. They quickly figured out that the water pressure was way too high, and were able to quickly replace the pressure regulator to fix the problem, very affordably. They were able to come on two hours notice, since they got a cancellation that day.

I recently had some extensive plumbing work done and I’m so glad I chose Halpin Plumbing. Charlie and Caleb were absolutely great to work with. They showed up on time, were professional, and were very thorough in their work. What I appreciated most was how clearly they explained everything they were doing and took the time to answer my questions. They were also upfront with their pricing, so no surprises at the end, which I appreciated. If you’re looking for a reliable plumbing company, I highly recommend Halpin Plumbing. Be sure to ask for Charlie and Caleb!

Christian and Mason did an excellent job fixing my hot water heater. They were on time to the appointment, professional, explained the issues well, and they had the necessary spare part in their van and were able to fix the issue within 30 min. Most importantly, Halpin Plumbing is honest with their quotes. Specifically, they charged $200 for a job that Apollo Home wanted $1,700 for (predatory pricing). I will always be recommending Halpin to friends & neighbors. Thank you!

Bait and switch. They came out to do an estimate, never give ,e a price and then socked me an expensive bill when they did very very little work. Would not provide a statement of services or any type of itemization (because they did almost nothing). Scam. This company also operates JPH Property Investments. Research both companies before doing any business with these people!

Where do I start? From the beginning it was a disaster. Receptionist is rude, service techs knowledge was entry level on a good day. Then the quote on something that didn't need done. Literally could have bought a car with that quote ($3500) and I personally fixed it for under $500 in 10 minutes. Smh

I have called on Halpin Plumbing for services large and small - both interior and exterior. Some of the plumbing work was during a time of major renovation at my home, and other work has been more routine, such as the annual all-house review of the plumbing. The plumbers have all been thoughtful, pleasant, and highly skilled individuals; if they are training someone, the trainee works with a seasoned plumber. They have very responsive customer service. I purchase a customer service benefits package that offers some extra benefits, including prompt service scheduling. If I have any questions or concerns about the work, they are also quick to respond by email or by phone. They always make courtesy calls or send texts to let me know when someone is on the way. Where relevant, they will often give me some options regarding repairs and give me a sense about the urgency and seriousness of a particular problem. They are not inexpensive, but one can be confident that the work is performed professionally and thoroughly. The customer member benefits program does offer a discount on the price of services. If there are ever any issues with a repair, they will return promptly to remedy the matter. The repairs they have made, and installations completed, have all withstood the test of time. They perform specialized services such as sewer line repairs which I had done (private house line), using the installation of trenchless liners. Halpin worked very patiently with me to arrive at an acceptable contract for this work, offered me a detailed schedule of what to expect each day (including periods where the water and fixtures could not be used), and Geoff gave meticulous attention to the discussing the details regarding the liner installation. I have experienced the work of several different plumbers from Halpin for various projects. More recently Luke has done a fine job with multiple projects, from general inspections of the house plumbing to planned replacements of fixtures. A while ago, Luke was here for a detailed all-house plumbing inspection, and we decided upon some significant repairs and replacements. In part these were related to a bathroom reconstruction made necessary by a slow leak. Other repairs planned were proactive and preventive. Earlier this year, Luke and his assistant did a beautiful job with replacement of a damaged, leaky exterior downspout section that drains into pipes that run through the interior of the house. In preparation, they carefully covered items in the interior room, in the vicinity of the work. They completed the actual work with great care and in a timely manner. Today Luke replaced my gas water heater with electric. This was part of a larger project of converting my home to all electric. He also completed the private gas line shutoffs and sealed the exterior wall gaps where vents were removed. He worked in a very helpful manner with the other contractors involved. Halpin also offers emergency services on the rare occasion when there is a plumbing emergency. I experienced one of those occasions a couple of winters ago, and it was Luke who accurately assessed the cause of the leak and made a careful repair. He also cheerfully assisted with some initial clean-up of the discouraging mess I was facing. Halpin assisted with the plumbing tasks required for the reconstruction of the damaged bathroom. They work very well with other contractors where necessary. In addition to consistently excellent work, there is always a great deal of consideration for my home. These are caring individuals who go above and beyond. I have found them to be trustworthy, pleasant people to have working in my home. I never have felt the need to call on another plumber. This is a professional, highly skilled, and reliable company. Highly recommended.

June 23, 2017 Dear Mr. Halpin, I'm writing to thank you for what has been one of the most amazing customer service experiences I have been treated to in a very long time. I hired Halpin Plumming and have for many years. But I know you are not the cheapest on the block. With all the online search type things out there it is very easy to find services that are less expensive but you find out why when something doesn't grow just exactly right. A couple of weeks ago one of your Plummer's came out to do some work for me and part of that work was to reinstall a sink. It was a pedestal type and the house was from 1912 so it required some difficult updates. Putting the sink back together a piece of tile was damaged that required me to patch it in a very obvious way giving it a very cheap look or pull the sink and cut out the damaged tile taking with the chance of further damage, which I feared would be the case. Know that when the plummer was done I paid him and did not address the issue till the next business day with Sara. Now Sara answers the phone along with one other young lady that I know of and I thought that was the extent of their duties. Oh no, you have empowered this young lady and I'll assume the other with whatever it takes to immediately address issues. When I called about the damages she did not just pass me along. She did not try to say it happens or it was a tough install or make some other excuse to avoid repairing or taking responsibility for the damage. Rather she was apologetic and said please send pictures which I did. Within a day or two she called to tell me that it will be made right and that you have a great relationship with a tile guy that can fix the issue. She also told me it might take a couple of weeks and he said the cost to repair would be $300 and that if I prefer you would send me a check. Fearing I could cause more damage on my own I chose to wait. A couple days later, I get a call that a plummer would be out that week then the tile guy and wow were they. How this tile guy managed to cut a square from the center of a tile was one thing but the repair and replace so to speak, was better than I could have hoped for. So let me say cheap is many times just that. Thank you Robert, thank you Sara, thank you Joe Halpin!!! There is a reason you have had a place in my contact list for years and will be there for years to come. And I never thought that you guys could be a great resource as well like in this case and amazing tile guy. Again thanks to all of you. You are first on my list. Sincerest Regards, Harold A Poore

Called back in October to inquire about a possible estimate. They immediately wanted to schedule it. I asked repeatedly if there was a charge for an estimate and said I did not want one if there was (most reputable organizations give free estimates). They did not answer and proceeded to schedule someone. When they arrived, they said nothing about cost up front, but immediately began to give an (inflated) estimate for a bare minimum job. After completing the estimate, the gentlemen gave me a bill for $45. I told him the above story and said I had no intention to pay. I immediately called Halpin and recounted the same info. The young lady I spoke with said she would "let management know and go from there (although her attitude mostly indicated she had heard it all before and she just wanted me to pay. I have heard nothing from them since, and assumed the matter was settled. Today I was left a message (convenient calling in the middle of the day when working folks aren't home--amazingly, no one answered when I returned the call at 4:30 p.m.) from a Lisa at Halpin regarding my, so-called, outstanding balance. She claimed to have sent several emails, as if such amounted to some kind of legal notice (I've never received any such email), and wanted me to call and arrange payment so that they could avoid turning the matter over to collections. I will not be bullied by scammers and will not pay for a service I did not authorize with knowledge aforehand of the cost. I suggest to all who might consider engaging these people that they take my experience into account and run the other way.

I thought your employer was terrific. I appreciated that we started with a "lower" tech approach, as opposed to beginning with a large snake (and a potentially large bill) to unclog the exterior drain outside the entrance to the basement. Utilizing a device that concentrated the pressure of the water from the yard hose, he was able to open up the drain and did so relatively quickly. We've had so much severe weather, I think a decent amount of the yard made it into that drain over the past couple of months. I was thrilled that he was able to clear the clog, which was substantial. He also shoveled out the considerable amount of mud that had accumulated at the bottom of the exterior steps to the basement door In addition to getting the job done efficiently and cost effectively, Charlie is also a very personable individual, as well as a dog lover. So he did not take offense that my youngest German Shepherd made a rather noisy ruckus because he was dying to come outside and "help" him work. Once we got the drain open, all three shepherds were able to come out and inspect Charlie's handy work. They thought he did a great job, as do I. BTW, I'm so glad the office person I spoke with in setting up the appointment took to heart my request to send someone who was not afraid of big dogs, and who had boots to get down in the water and mud. My plumber of the last 35+ yrs. has retired. So I am glad I contacted your company. I appreciated the service I received and look forward to doing business with your company again in the future. Thank you and thank Charlie for a job well done.

Had a fantastic experience with Halpin's Plumbing today. We called yesterday due to an unpleasant odor from a drain in our basement. They were able to schedule with us for the very next day. Their plumber Darrell called to let me know when they were on the way and arrived right on time. Darrell asked me what issues we were having, looked around and then said we should start with the FREE sewer scope (we had a valupak coupon) and go from there. They worked inside and outside (in the pouring rain!!) to get as good of an assessment as our pipes would accommodate the camera to go. Thankfully nothing urgent to fix, but Darrell gave several recommendations and options that could help fix the odor problem we are having and advised starting with the most economical. He also advised on potential causes to the water influx in our basement and some of the options for fixing that issue as well. As well as looked at a few plumbing things I may want to do in the future and let me know if they were possible and a rough guesstimated cost. At the end...I wasn't charged a dime. They said the coupon for the free scope covered their visit! Their excellent customer service, professionalism, and sound advise earned my future business as well as my referral to anyone needing a good plumber! Thank you, Halpin's!!

I had a unusual job, where I wanted to remove and replace all of the plumbing under my basement floor at once. All of the plumbers I called for a quote gave me very high quotes as they were uncertain of the actual amount of work involved. I was very close to attempting to do the work myself, but that is when Halpin employees Scott (project manager) and Joey Fay (the actual plumber), stepped in and worked with me on a project structure that made sense financially for me to go ahead with them. Joey made quick work of figuring out all of the particular complexities in my project of where and how to connect the new sanitary system with the old clay pipes which needed to be tied back in, and worked hard to remove the old and replace with new in pretty much 1 day! In terms of quality of work, the price, and the peace of mind I have knowing the work was done right by a professional plumber, I am extremely happy with my decision to hire Halpin, and am planning on doing so again for a french drain and sump pump system in the coming weeks.

I had a sewage back up that started coming into my upstairs bathroom shower. It was mortifying. I called several places and they all told me they would come in 2-3 DAYS. I called Halpin plumbing and the owner happened to take the call. When I told him the situation, he immediately told me that this won't wait and he would send someone out within two hours. They showed up, within a hour, took care of the mess, told us NOT to throw baby wipes into the toilet, even if they said they are flushable!! Sure enough, there was a huge backup which he handled quickly with great efficiency. This happened last year but I am still impressed with the great customer service!

I used Halpin plumbing to redo the water line from the street to my house. Darrel came out and gave me an estimate and explained exactly what he would do. His estimate was much more reasonable than others I received. The work was scheduled for yesterday and he said he would be there at 8:30. He showed up right on time (actually a minute early) and got right to work. He worked hard all day and was complete quicker than he estimated. He did a really good job and was great to work with. Looking back, since he finished by 3pm I should have had him give me estimates on other plumbing stuff around the house, as I would totally use Halpin plumbing again.

We used Halpin a few years ago to repair a broken sewer line, and that was a great experience. This time we called to get a small sink replaced in our half bath. The person that showed up was late, and the estimate we received, according to the person that came, wasn't really an estimate, because he didn't really know what it would take to get the job done. We paid for an estimate, we received fluff. I called the office the next day, got a call the following day, and the conversation was mostly defensive and evasive. We got back the money paid for the estimate, but we'll take our business elsewhere for this and future jobs.

I have been using Halpin Plumbing for years and they are excellent - they always respond promptly to calls and their service people are prompt and courteous. They take the time to explain the problem and solution. Yesterday we had a problem with our water heater which was installed by our builder and was under warranty - Halpin went to the trouble of putting us in touch with a Company that deals with warranties and within a few hours they were here and the problem was taken care of. I would not hesitate recommending Halpin Plumbing. They are local, family owned and great.
