We had the best experience with Apollo! They were absolutely fantastic and did exactly what they said they’d do. This was our first time using Apollo and we will definitely be repeat customers. Everyone we talked to was great! Very professional and answered all our questions, including both Jesse and Matthew. Matthew installed our new sump pump system and was very knowledgeable and professional. Great all around! We are very pleased with Apollo’s service!

Big thank you to Sean for installing our new high efficiency furnace! He was kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. The work area was spotless afterwards. He took the time to go over and explain everything to us. Extremely satisfied with the service. And a plus, he is a huge animal lover, just like us! And that says a lot about a person. I would highly recommend Apollo for anything you need.

I was married to my ‘handyman’ husband for 52 years. If anything needed repair or upgrading, I called his name. Since he passed, I call APOLLO! Membership is affordable and every department has qualified servicemen. Today, Electrician Chris installed a new chandelier. I’m thrilled!

After completing a plumbing repair totaling over $500, which I was fine with, they proceeded to charge an extra $200 just to spend 15 minutes snaking a floor drain. Will never, ever use them again.

Had a power outage, so we called Apollo. They tried attaching so many unnecessary things to the bill on top of the ACTUAL issue. When I confronted the tech that they're trying to gouge us when we're in a vulnerable position with our power out, he began reading me potential upgrade plans and if I wanted to purchase HVAC and Plumbing services?? How out of touch are these people? My power is out!!! Glad I found a different company who was more concerned with the customer. Very awful, anyone would have better luck going ANYWHERE else but here. Will be making sure everyone I know never uses these money-grubbers.

We bought an Amana furnace/AC unit in 2011 from Apollo Home in Cincinnati, OH and utilized their service plan twice a year. After the 10 year warranty expired, the very next AC service call we received, the tech said the compressor was "over-amping" and that I should consider buying a new system. I didn't take that advice seeing as the unit was relatively new. The next service in 6 months was for the furnace. The tech showed me some stains or "rust spots" where the heat exchanger was connected or crimped into the secondary heat exchanger - no holes, just some stains. All of the numbers were showing normal for CO etc. No CO was ever present in the house (I have multiple detectors in the house - all were 0) The technician showed me photos of the tiny stain and declared that the system was unsafe. He condemned the furnace, shut the gas off and tagged it with a red tag. He said a sales representative will come by later that day. The sales rep recommended getting a new complete unit and said it would cost 16K. I was not happy that the current furnace, which looked brand new, only lasted 10 years. So then he reduced the price to 13K for a lesser quality RUUD. Again I said no and he went back and checked with Amana about their warranty on the heat exchanger (lifetime, it turns out). The sales rep said they would replace the heat exchanger under warranty for $3k. Apollo suggested that I should replace the whole furnace component with another Amana for about 4 K - because they didn't want to replace just the heat exchanger as it was a complete tear-down. However, they would not warranty the replacement furnace further - even though it was brand new, because Apollo has stopped doing business with Amana. I also had Apollo look up the Over-Amping situation on the AC compressor - Turns out, that tech was a bit over-ambitious - it was not over-spec after all. Skeptical, I called another supplier who looked at Apollo's photos - he said that the stains on the crimp area didn't just happen and were probably there for years. Of course, Apollo would find them only after the warranty had run out. At this point, I was done with Apollo altogether and decided to put in a new furnace that had better ratings than the RUUD and the Amana, plus a new 10 year warranty, plus the AC condensor for about 5K (98% efficiency). When we removed the Amana from the house, we tore it apart looking for issues with the heat exchanger. It had absolutely no holes, rust, stains or anything wrong with it. In fact it looked almost brand new. The whole furnace - blower motor - everything looked almost brand new - the new technician agreed. We could not see any issues with the connection between the primary heat exchanger and the secondary. And then, we discovered that when Apollo originally installed the Amana furnace, 5 ton, they put in a good filter upgrade, but failed to fit it properly to the furnace intake. The intake was 1/3 covered up by the furnace siding! The new furnace people put the new furnace on a platform, which opened up the circulation to 100 %. I paid Apollo every year to service it, and I kept it very clean. After warranty, they tried to sell over-priced replacements, wouldn't warranty a warranty unit and prematurely condemned a good, working furnace, albeit installed incorrectly in the first place. I have heard this type of story from others as well and with other companies. Here's what to look out for. 1. If you have a service plan, test your furnace before the technician comes out to the house. They have been known to cause a problem initially (like bend the ignitor so that it shorts on the bracket) and send your down the next nightmare steps. 2. If the technician gives you bad news, have him take pictures to prove to you that the heat exchanger has cracks. Have him show you the air analysis that there is CO present. Always use a CO monitor with a digital readout to be safe and to compare results. If the air analysis is OK, do not permit the guy to tag your system as condemned. You need a second opinion. 3. If the technician schedules the sales rep for the same day, be very skeptical. You will get the sale pitch about dying, about parts hard to get, piece of mind, lowest cost he can do - that he will make no commission on this deal because he is so nice and feels so bad. Most of that is total BS. 4. Get a second opinion ALWAYS. One company was caught doing this with the first technician breaking something deliberately (they are on commission), and then sending for the "photo" guy who accidentally didn't save the photos but claimed he saw cracks with his "bare naked eyeballs." In this case, the customer demanded a second person come and take photos of the cracks for proof - and that person could not find anything wrong with the heat exchanger whatsoever. Turns out the furnace was disabled by the bent ignitor shorting on its bracket. I didn't know they would bend themselves. 5. Reprehensible

I was asked by customer service to delete my original review but I'm reposting it because people deserve to understand what value (or lack thereof) they get for their money. I called Apollo last month when a drain in my basement backed up. Before they came over, I spent about 2 hours cleaning it up. When they showed up, they told me to empty the tub, run my bathroom sink and flush the toilet. I told them I was worried about doing so because if there was a clog, it would back the drain up again, but they told me it should be fine, and, of course, it flooded again, making the cleaning I did that morning completely pointless. They asked to use my shopvac to clean it up and I allowed them to because I figured they must not have one of their own, and I wanted my basement clean again. That shopvac won't run properly now. When they ran a camera through my sewage line, I learned I needed to get it replaced because it was collapsing in my front yard. I made an appointment to have it excavated/replaced. I was working the day of the appointment and when I got home I found that my basement had been flooded with muddy brown water, far worse than the 2 previous times. Come to find out, they hit my WATER line when excavating my sewage line, and no one from Apollo bothered to tell me about it. They did send a restoration crew to clean it though. I only found out because of the flood and because I called to complain. Last year, I got the bushes ripped out on the front of my house and had them completely replaced with mulch beds and landscape stones. A large potion of the mulch bed was destroyed. I understand that was unavoidable, but you can see in the pictures what my entire yard looked like afterward even though I was told I would only have a mound of dirt directly over where the sewage line was that I'd have to worry about leveling out. I did call and complain about all this and the person I spoke to on the phone said they were going to have a landscaper come out and fix it around the end of March/beginning of April. I called a few days ago to ask why it hadn't been fixed yet and they said they had someone scheduled to come out in MAY... I also complained that I could still hear my pipes making gurgling noises which I was told was an indication of the collapsing sewage line that I already had completely replaced. They were trying to schedule a time to come back out and look at it AGAIN, but I chose to ignore them after a day because at this point, I am seriously traumatized by the stress this company has caused me. After dealing with them this most recent time, it threw me into a panic attack where I couldn't function. I just want all of this to be over with and I can't handle it anymore. On top of that, I decided to go out to my yard today to try to level down the mound of dirt to little avail, although I did find massive pieces of my old broken pipe strewn throughout all the dirt. I know they're offering to fix this, but at this point, like I said, I am so upset with them that I do not even want to talk to them on the phone or see them because it stresses me out to deal with them so badly. I live alone and work long hours and trying to undo what they did is going to use the majority of my free time this spring. So if you have any respect for your property and your home, do not hire Apollo. Thanks for offering to fix these issues but it's too little too late. EDIT: After posting this, I went back outside and my neighbors came out to help. 3 adults, a total of about 3 hours of work with a tiller, shovels and iron rakes and we barely put a dent in it. They said they were home watching during the excavation and asked themselves why Apollo wasn't hauling any of this dirt away. Good question! You know the work is beyond unacceptable when people who weren't even involved can look at my yard and tell me to my face that it looks horrible and that they can't believe it was left in such horrible condition. If you're gonna fix my yard, just show up and do it because I can't handle speaking to you all anymore. I'll take this down if it gets done.

Let me first start off by saying everyone I have dealt with at Apollo have been nice and friendly, but who wouldn't be when you're trying to sell something. My first issue is I had plumbing work done started off at one cost and of course as work was being done. Other things came up that needed to be addressed, causing even more money I had to get financed and their finance company is called service finance company which is horrible. I do feel the information I was given was not consistent. I am now in debt with the service finance company along with the service came a one year free maintenance. Apollo called for HVAC maintenance. They came Out I know my furnace is over 20 years old and on its last leg I have had my furnace serviced every year by a another company, but of course, the very first time Apollo comes out to check furnace. I was told I had a crack in my heat exchanger and red tagged and turned the gas of my furnace off of course I'm concerned a little scared after reading up on what red tag means I was given an option of very expensive repairs or a new furnace who is spending over $9000 repairing a 20 something year-old furnace so I had an Apollo salesman come out to quote a new furnace after being quoted. I said thank you and give me a couple of days to think over the salesman then goes may I ask why the I said I would like a second opinion I do deal with another company and would like to hear what they say. I was met with then why did you call us if you deal with someone else because dude free maintenance came with the expensive plumbing work . I just had done by your company. Also, are we not allowed another opinion who spends $12-$15,000 without doing due diligence and getting a second opinion I felt a to make a fast decision within 24 hours Nonetheless I the other company come out without telling him anything regarding Apollo's visit and I was met with I need a new water compressor to get a new carbon monoxide detector old and using a lot of power to but was never told it was unsafe to operate. I finally came out and told him of my first visit with Apollo and was told that this is a scare tactic. He also stated if the furnace was unsafe to use, he would be liable if anything was to happen and he would have to turn off the unit, but that's not the case we even went over and the readings from both visits which were pretty much the same thing. Oh I was also told by Apollo that they are a big company a But big doesn't always mean better sometimes smaller companies are good because they may appreciate the customer base opposed to a big company where just another number or another sale. I could not in good faith recommend this company times are hard enough without being scammed into spending unnecessary money, also people! Please do whatever research and get as many second third etc. opinions that you feel comfortable in making the best decision for yourself your situation don't be pressured into making a decision within 24 Hours Now the other company could have tried to tell me anything also just to make a sale but instead, I felt like I was met with honesty and transparency and for that I am appreciate.

I'm not sure where to start. Due to frequent miscommunications - especially with Harrison and Izzy - our project stretched from February through May. While the work is now complete and every technician who came to our house was courteous, apologetic, and seemed genuinely committed, the overall process was frustrating. We had techs show up with incomplete information - not knowing that the initial call was regarding a clogged sink and not realizing that the rest of the plumbing was working (seemingly) fine. On the morning the excavation was supposed to start, the director of projects (I believe that was his title - last name King??) came to our home and informed us that our project coordinator Harrison had quit earlier that day. He openly acknowledged that the entire job had been mishandled and poorly communicated. While we appreciated his honesty, we never saw or heard from him again after that visit, and the communication issues persisted. Several aspects of the experience were particularly challenging: * We had to use paid time off or rearrange our work schedules on eight occasions to accommodate the team's visits. Once, no one showed up, and we were only notified 30 minutes before the appointment window ended that they wouldn't be there. * There were repeated visits to address a clogged kitchen sink, and both times, the technician left dirty water in the kitchen and bathroom, ruining a kitchen mat that was not moved out of the way. * The scope of work was inconsistently communicated. We were told at different times that excavation would happen in the front yard, then in the basement, then not at all. Ultimately, when the team arrived, they initially said they were there to dig in the basement, only to later determine it was unnecessary. * Each visit seemed to bring a different technician, making it difficult to establish continuity or communicate ongoing concerns. * Despite repeated requests for a call when technicians were en route so I could secure my dogs (one of whom was injured), this was never done, adding unnecessary stress to myself and my dogs (one of which was healing from a chipped bone, which STILL isn't healed - the unnecessary/repeated visits didn't help that). While we are grateful for the technicians' efforts and the eventual completion of the job, the lack of clear communication and repeated scheduling issues made the experience challenging. We were convinced to sign up for their monthly Apollo Care Plan, but after this experience, I'm hesitant to welcome them back into our home - if so, we'll certainly be looking for additional quotes. We spent $13k on this project and have seen elsewhere that people have been over quoted by Apollo and took their work elsewhere for a much more fair price. I hope the company will address these concerns to improve future customer experiences.

I scheduled a Service tech this morning about 3:30 a.m. online at Apollos website for a 2-4 pm today because we had storms last night and lightning took out the kitchen sockets! My husband has trouble breathing and one of those sockets provides my husband's OXYGEN MACHINE . Also one of those sockets provides power to my husband's LIFT Chair. We're both Disabled Vets and my husbands heart is working about 35% so he needs oxygen. Anyway, the window that I picked for the time was 2-4. About 7:53 am Apollos appointment taker calls me & leaves a VM telling me to call Apollo to get me on their Schedule. So I called back and she said she would get me on the schedule! I informed her that I already had a window time between 2-4 for 2 types of techs one for electricity and a Plumber so I can swap out bathroom fixtures that I already bought. So I went to bed because My husband kept me up with his breathing problem. I woke up around 11:10 am and noticed 2 VM from Apollo to call them to get me on the schedule. So I called Apollo to see what's up. I first talked to a young man who told yes they called to get me on their schedule. I informed the man The lady had already scheduled me. So I told her I had already picked a time online. Well, the man said "Yeah that's our 3rd party and he would have to schedule me." The woman already scheduled me she even gave me a discount! The lady said she'd wave my second tech so I would only be charged the $79 trip fee. So, this guy even laughed at me. Okay Snickered at me. I told the guy this isn't funny and asked for a supervisor. The guy said he'll get a supervisor. He muted the phone because there wasn't any music playing while I was on hold. So this other guy who says he a supervisor get on the phon. I told the SUP about scheduling and lady who called me this morning. He to told me I was not scheduled even though I scheduled online and the lady acknowledging the 2-4 pm appointment and even I got an email showing the work was scheduled. If a company has a 3rd party picking up the scheduling I think Apollo should fire that company, because NO ONE is getting the correct information about potential customers! I told the guy aka SUP scheduling appointments, I want the 2-4 window and he says we have a 4-7 window! I said never mind I ll take my business elsewhere I don't want Apollo doing work for me. I also think Apollo she take their commercial off the air, because they're NOT about Customer Service!

Do not hire Apollo for plumbing. I have hired 3-4 different plumbers in the past few years and I have been satisfied and almost impressed with all of them until I hired Apollo. My kitchen sink was clogged and I saw they had an ad to unclog a drain for $89.00, so I hired them. They sent a very young "drain specialist" over to open my drain. He had to take my plumbing apart under my sink to make it easier to run his snake down the pipe. (I've seen many plumbers who could have ran the snake down without taking everything apart.) He still couldn't unclog my drain. He determined correctly that it was clogged where it goes under my concrete basement. He said Apollo would have to send out a different plumber who does that kind of work. Well, he couldn't get my plumbing under my sink back together so he left. I called the plumbing manager for Apollo and he said they couldn't put it back together because it was "not up to code." So we were just stuck with no kitchen sink for a few days. I finally had to hire another plumber to put the plumbing back together which cost me $400.00. He had no problem putting it back together. In the mean time they sent out another more qualified plumber to unclog my drain under my concrete basement floor. He jackhammered about three feet of my floor and showed me where the clog was. While he was here he took my stack apart for some reason and I didn't notice it was leaking until after he left. The stack is the main black pipe right under my bathroom toilet. I called them and told them it was leaking sewage and they sent another plumber out who said they didn't touch my stack. The only problem with that is I watched him take it apart and he even put a new plug in it. It was obvious they worked on it because of the new plug. They were supposed to run a flex shaft through the pipe to help restore the pipe but they didn't have the tool with them. The plumber called a couple rental stores to see if he could rent one but didn't follow up on it, instead he called the manager who said to not rent one. He said they would get theirs fixed. Well we waited over a month with sewage leaking and basement floor tore up and paneling that had to be taken down. They finally showed up after over a month. So after $4000.00 dollars I finally got my sink unclogged. Terrible customer service, they always send out a young 20 year old to start and when he gets in over his head, they bring in another plumber.

I would like to warn everybody out there to do your homework before hiring this company for any type of work. Last winter they came out for the free maintenance on the furnace and ended up red tagging it and shutting it off and telling me that my furnace needed to be replaced or repaired. I spent my own money and hired a different company to look at it and was told by the gentleman with 30 years experience that there was nothing wrong with my furnace and he took the tag off and turned it back on with my permission. I also purchased a brand-new air conditioning unit through Apollo January 2021. Last summer wasn't as hot as it is this summer and I rarely used it. I am a senior citizen on Social Security and I have health issues and have to watch my budget strictly. on June 3, 2022 there" senior technician" came out on a follow up call from June 1 because my air conditioning was not working. It was determined that I needed a new compressor( which are supposed to last 10 to 15 years) . he also stated in his invoice that my condenser coil was dirty and plugged up and that he cleaned it out for me. I took the covers off and found the coil to be disgustingly filthy, went to Home Depot to buy the cleaning product and spent the afternoon cleaning it myself. I also sent Apollo eight photographs I took of the filthy coil. They informed me that their technician provided them with pictures of the cleaned coil. So in other words, they were calling me a liar. On top of all of this they informed me that they would charge me $1000 for labor to replace the compressor because the 10 year warranty was only for parts. Needless to say I will not be doing this. Here it is June 20 and I still don't have a running air conditioning unit. I have had to again go through a different company and because of the backlog it's taking a few days. I have also spoken with a few other people that I've had very bad experiences with Apollo. I encourage everyone that has to post a review on yelp. If they really want to make this right, they can replace the compressor cost free, but at this point it's too late for all of this because I have already had that conversation with the office and they are not interested or willing.

Collin Lyons did an excellent job of running the installation of my new Daison HVAC. He and his crew removed the old furnace, air conditioner and humidifier, installed the new system and thermostat, and cleaned up perfectly afterwards. The system worked immediately. Collin gave me a tour of the née equipment and instructions, leaving all manuals and andwering any questions. He was professional and very competent. He and his team were very nice to worknwith. Role model experience! Jonathan was professional, pleasant, efficient and personable as he remmoved the broken disposal and installed the new one. He knew also just what was needed as he tepaired the handle of the bathroom faucet so it shut on and off properly. It was a relief to have Apollo respond quickly and to have the home’s plumbing in good working order once again. ****************** Ishaq was very knowledgeable and both effective in solving plumbing issues and explaining how I could maintain my new home and prevent the issues from recurring.he was courteous and knowledgeable and professional. It was a pleasure to work with him and have him instruct me in handling home maintenance tasks. Highly recommend Izzie for your plumbing needs. Del was highly effective and perseverent and solved the problem of an inadequately installed a pair of bathroom fans. After correcting the wiring so that both fans could be turned off by each of their wall switches, he went through a great deal of the overall electrical inspection. He then analysed how to install wiring so that I could have estimates on installing wired under-cabinet lighting in several areas of the kitchen. He identified the requirements for supplying landscape lighting and possibly an additional outdoor electrical outlet. Finally, he solved the problem of how to wire and install recessed lights in a basement room. Overall, he was very personable, helpful and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to work with him on Apollo’s inspection and estimating process. I highly recommend him!

Where to begin, where to begin? We have used Apollo in the past and have positive experiences. They are always prompt, professional and amicable. We were having issues with our water backing up into the house - so, we called for Apollo to have them clear the drain. What began as a simple clearing of the drain turned into a plumbing nightmare. Each step of the way to the eventual conclusion of our experience was made exponentially worse by their inability to clear the drain. After destroying our flower beds and yard they were still unable to fix the problem. After a discussion with one of the managers they offered to refund the portion of the service. The final bill was over $5000. In order to receive the overpayment, I was forced to sign a release. They recommended I seek out another plumber. We called a plumber who lives in our neighborhood and he came out to have a look - they were able to locate the problem and clear the pipe - they felt so bad for our experience they took $100 off their fee. Total cost $300. If the Apollo work crew had simply looked at the pipe that was leading out of the house they would have seen the blockage. Instead, they merely replaced the pipe they broke, while excavating our yard, and didn't move the soil back that had been removed. They did send someone out eventually to move the soil back into place. I want to go on the record saying - not once in this entire experience did I raise my voice or cuss anyone out - we started out with a small problem that could have been fixed if the Apollo team had been more determined to solve the problem as cost effectively as possible. It appeared to me that our credit line drove the service they were going to provide. The only redeeming quality of this entire experience was the Jamaican gentleman who never stopped working and went the extra mile to make us feel better about this debacle. I'd rather have a wisdom tooth removed without the benefit of anesthesia than use this group to fix a drain.

Our Tankless Water Heater that was installed by Apollo 4 years ago has completely died because of a poor install that allowed condensate to build up and kill the neutralizer and cause further damage to the inside of the unit. We purchased this house less than a year ago but are friends with the previous owners who gave us documentation of the original purchase. But before we had those documents in hand, Apollo continued to tell us this had been installed 6 years ago and was past the 5 year warranty. Then when we had documents, they said the warranty wouldn't be honored bc we weren't the original purchasers. A new tankless water heater should last 20 years - but their install lasted 4. They were not helpful or transparent as we tried to figure this out so we already incurred their service fee and another companies service and diagnostic fee and now are likely going to have to replace this unit in entirety. We have been repeat customers with Apollo and have even had previous positive experiences with one of their plumbing technicians (we can't recall her name) - but the customer service with this has been deflecting and seems purposefully confusing, withholding information, then giving partial information, and even straight out wrong information. We won't be using Apollo in the future for our own house. I'm an Architect and in my professional experience, a good company will stand by their work or at least show good faith effort in solving a problem when it so clearly should not have gone south this quickly. Steer clear with Apollo.
