Chatta Rooter Plumbing Septic & Drain

Chatta Rooter came out on a weekend when I had a septic emergency. Not a drop of water was leaving the house anymore and I had several inches of septic water in my basement bathtub. My septic had never been pumped and the house is 30 yrs old. They jumped right on the job and took it in stride. It was so clogged up, when they undid the clog, they had a 2 foot geyser of 💩. They had to locate my septic because it was 5 feet under ground, but they had the maps and it didn't phase them. Another company came prior to them and were overwhelmed and said they could potentially flood my basement with 💩. Chatta Rooter knew how to fix it without that happening. They had to dig up my yard and remove a tree, but they cleaned up the mess at the end. They are family owned and I'd use them again 1000%.

Definitely one of the most trustworthy and knowledgeable plumbers around. Highly recommend their work. Always come quickly and very professional. This company has got me out of a bond several times with my rental properties.

I have used Chatta Rooter Plumbing for both septic, plumbing, and drain issues and have been very happy with their service. They do excellent work! I will use them again in the future for any plumbing needs!

Paid for them to pump septic and they did not pump my tank but they took our money. It caused a lot of damage When called to let them know about it they REFUSED to fix it. They also decided to call the Health Department because we called to let them know we wanted our money back!! I wouldn't let them work on my dog house. They are HORRIBLE, a liar and horrible business. Beware when you call them because they will not do the job but take your money for something they didn't do. If could give them a negative I would. I have the text from you saying that you WILL SEND US OUR MONEY BACK!! If you didn't do the work why would you give us our money back? Text messages don't lie!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They do not back up their work. Worked on my pump then 3 days later it stopped working. Would not come back to look at it.

It was the worst day in the world history.. Then Mr Bartlett returned my call after calling everyone . It was a Saturday evening and had plans after church sunday fmorning.. well the house had been little stinky and we were fixing to find out why .. john, I've been working all day and he said that he would stop by and look at it on his way home. Well, when he got there, he was stumbled, because I was literally floating, almost in my Plumbing nightmare.\n The septic tank had been\n Jerry-rigged to say the least and my whole system was backed up the house was stinking. And I have judge coming over the next day. Explain to John my concern in my plans, and he went to work right away, made a phone call. His man shows up with a digger, they literally in a pump truck, they locate mine, said tank and get it pumped. And they discovered that there's a chunk of it like a hole or something that had had fell in in the bottom corner of it, and so the man literally worked aloft all night showed app early early hourly Sunday morning and got the tank new tank put in And had it, the stink was gone and headed presentable, for the congregation Sunday morning, he is a lifesaver godsend, very knowledgeable and very, very, very devoted. He finished the job up in the next day or 2 couldn't even tell they was there. But hands down , I'll call john for all septic needs And v recommended u do as well..

These guys are absolutely AMAZING! I am a local Realtor in Chattanooga and some of my previous clients were having issues with their septic so I sent them the list of licensed plumbers approved by the city to pull permits, etc. They had an awesome experience and we’re super grateful. When I had issues with my tank, I called some of the bigger box shops to come out and quote the work. I had to have a whole new system put in with a new tank, fields lines, etc. The bigger companies quoted me 16k and 17k!! There was absolutely no way I could afford that.. so I called up my previous clients to ask who they used and had a great experience with. They told me Chattarooter. So I immediately called for a third opinion. They were able to do the EXACT SAME job as these other companies for significantly LESS (under 10k). They also had in house financing which was super easy to apply for and use (they just send you a link via text and it’s all done easily over mobile.. very super user friendly). The part I loved the most is that you get a personal approach. The owner Jon and his wife Cori work on site along with his son and their guy Mike. They are all so friendly and genuinely care about doing great and professional work! I would 100% recommend them over and over again. You will not be disappointed that you hired them!

Highly recommend Chatta-Rooter!! We were continuing to have issues with the septic in our new build house where water was pooling above the tanks in our front yard. We originally had a plumber from Roto-rooter come out to look at but, they couldn’t figure it out and said it was just because of snow melting. I Googled other septic companies in chattanooga and saw the good reviews for Chatta-Rooter. They did not disappoint! They scheduled an assessment within a couple days of me calling. John came out and he could tell right away our pump was malfunctioning. I was super impressed that he did his research ahead of time and looked up the type of septic we had (low pressure system) and educated me about how it works and the kind of maintenance it requires. After working on it all day he was able to figure out that the plumbing on septic was not installed correctly and agreed to fix it for no extra cost despite not being included in the original estimate. John was honest, reliable, and very thorough with the job. Communication with the entire team was great and they truly went above and beyond to fix the issue.

As all the other reviews mention: Jon, Cory, and their crew are AMAZING. They are extremely talented at what they do and patient enough to break everything down throughout the entire process so we could understand it. Our septic was original to our 60's home (it was actually homemade) and it began overflowing into our back yard. We called late on a Friday and they pumped it and diagnosed it early Sunday. We ended up needing an entirely new system and our front and back yard weren't big enough to run field lines up to code. They had to install a new septic tank and a holding tank. Not an easy task given that we live on the W road on Signal Mtn. They excavated huge rocks and boulders to get these massive tanks in the ground. They also had to clear land on a hill above the house and dig our field lines. We gave them an impossible job and they did everything they said they would at a reasonable cost and in the time frame they promised. We are 2 months in with no issues or hiccups and we've already told many friends and family about them. We 100% recommend for any plumbing job!

All of the work that was done was necessary to properly repair my septic system. Mr. Bartlett told me what he would do and he did what he said he would do. I could not be happier with the end result. I just wrote the final check for replacing my septic tank, and you might think I would be irritated, annoyed and frustrated about a several thousand dollar job -- that I thought would be $350 to simply pump. Instead, I'm sitting down to let everyone know that I was blessed to have selected Jon Bartlett of Chatta-Rooter Plumbing to diagnose and fix my sewage back up issues at my home in Mountain Shadows. I found his name at NextDoor.com (TY to those that posted their recommendations!), and after meeting him I knew he was the man for the job. Sparing the details, the issue was not what could have been known beforehand; but Jon handled it, and ME, with professionalism and grace, honesty and fairness. His unique combination of being BOTH a certified plumber AND septic guy (with Hamilton County) afforded me ONE person to handle all aspects of the job. And now that he is done, my yard is level and seeded and hay-ed, almost as if nothing ever happened.

My wife called the first septic repair service she found online. That company sent someone who had no awareness about our current system and was unable to do anything but send another specialist two days later. In the meantime, a contractor we were using for unrelated work at our house recommended Chatta Rooter. Within two hours, the owner was at our house, with property records showing details of our existing system. This allowed him to provide a plan and a price much better than the previous company provided and his crew was able to start the next day and they completed the work in two days. Their onsite team was timely, professional and courteous. They went out of their way to protect a garden bed that my wife loved, and they left the septic field graded, seeded and pine strawed. Nobody likes hearing about the need to replace their septic system. However, we couldn’t be happier with Chatta Rooter.

Chatta-Rooter Plumbing was amazing to work with. We had a complex ejector pump issue with many other plumbers stumped and hesitant on the right solution. Jon was the only one familiar with our current system and the problems we were experiencing, and he confidently gave us a plan on how to fix it with a grinder pump. Jon was very responsive to our calls and questions. Even before we decided to work with him, he patiently answered all of our questions about the grinder pump and process. His team Dillon and Robert were very polite and did a great job of keeping us up to date as they made progress on the job. They were very professional and kind. I would highly recommend Jon and his team and are so thankful for the great service we got from them. Thank you Jon, Cory, Dillon, and Robert for solving our plumbing issues.

Peace of mind is PRICELESS! Chattanooga Rooter was so kind to send 2 men out just to check my septic tank. I was afraid I'd done something wrong when I unplugged the pump recently to tie up loose wires, and the red dome light on top of my electrical box didn't come back on. This is a brand new system on a new build home. These two wonderful men informed me the red light is NOT supposed to be on, unless to alert to a problem with the pump! They checked inside my ground unit and confirmed that it was working perfectly. WHEW!!! I'm newly here from CA, so I'm new to septic tanks! I cannot recommend this company more highly, as they responded promptly and courteously to my outreach, and totally put my mind at ease. You can bet they'll be the co. I call, if I have any future needs!
