I recently hired this plumbing service for a leaking pipe under my kitchen sink, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the first phone call, Justine was professional, friendly, and quick to schedule an appointment. She made the whole process smooth and stress-free. When Brandon arrived, he was right on time, explained the issue clearly, and provided a fair estimate before starting the work. He was knowledgeable, efficient, and made sure everything was fixed properly. What really impressed me was how clean and organized he kept the workspace — no mess left behind. The repair was completed faster than expected, and the pricing was transparent with no hidden fees. It’s such a relief to find a reliable team you can trust. I will definitely use their services again and highly recommend Brandon and Justine to anyone looking for honest, high-quality plumbing work

I called S&J Plumbing to repair a leak that developed behind the wall in our bathroom. Joe was able to get me on the schedule and sent Mark Lindeman out a few hours later. Mark was very nice, very knowledgeable, talented and informative. He noticed our tankless water heater and knew the unit and started telling us about it and how it needs to be maintained (I had no idea) and suggested other items he noticed that could be issues in the future. He wasn’t being a pushy salesman - just an experienced advisor. He did an excellent job with the repair and he was a pleasure to speak with. I definitely recommend S&J Plumbing and, in particular, Mark Lindeman. Thank you for fitting us into todays schedule.

I called S&J Plumbing as I had a great experience with them in the past. Plumbing issues can be so stressful, and Art, the technician that came to our home today, was so patient and thorough in every area, from diagnosis, to a repair that took several hours, coordinating a *second team for another issue, and in offering multiple recommendations to make sure the problem with our lines wouldn’t happen again. Art told me that he really enjoys his work, and it is very satisfying when he can help resolve issues for customers, and that truly showed today. I am never at a loss for words, but I can’t begin to tell you what a great job he did today, and today involved a lot of hard work. In addition, *Mike N and Justin arrived a few hours into the job to replace a key piece of cast iron that sits between the toilet and the main line. I had no idea how many aspects there were to that piece of the job, and Mike and Justin also exceeded my expectation in every way. Mike and Justin were equally friendly and knowledgeable, and told me they also really enjoy their work and find it very rewarding to help solve customer’s plumbing issues. These gentlemen didn’t miss any details and at the end, didn’t rush out, but thoroughly cleaned the job site, and put everything away for me. It is very obvious these three gentlemen take great pride in their work and in their company. I highly recommend this company. The picture that I included in my review is “after”. Had I been able to take a picture of the “before” you would have seen piles of sopping wet towels trying to stop a flooded floor from causing additional damage.

Watch out. These guys are scam artists and very dishonest. They never mentioned to me that they would have to charge anything to come out (very local btw). They came out to my house and sat me down to tell me allll the reasons why pipes are complicated and how they have such specialized equipment that no one else has and that's why it's going to be more expensive than other places. OK BRO. They never even looked at anything and were there lecturing me about pipes for 10mins without even looking at my problem yet. Then they refused to leave my house when I said no thank you and asked them to leave. They suddenly said they wouldn't leave unless I gave them $50 for making the trip out... Which was NEVER previously mentioned before they came out. This company is a load of BS. Watch out.

I usually try to give business to the little guy. I had to replace a sump pump. It was kind of an emergency so instead of doing it myself, I thought I would call Hans and Sons as they are a little, local shop and they are close by. I was quoted $250 on the phone when I made the appointment which included the pump and the labor. However, the bill came to $360 after it was installed. When I asked the guy why the $110 increase, he simply said, the girl at the shop gave him the wrong price. That was it. Matter of fact. No apologizes, no attempt to soften the blow. This is on top of him having to go back to his store to get his glasses so he could see well enough to put in the pump. I would think twice about going to the little guy. Maybe it's time they concede to the big box retailers.

I had a great experience with S & J Plumbing when we had a plumbing emergency at my dad's home in Elgin. There was a problem with the water shutoff valves, which ended up needing to be replaced, and I’m really glad we called them. Chris R was our plumber and showed up not long after we called. He was very friendly, professional, and clearly knew what he was doing. He mentioned he has 35 years of experience and it was obvious he really understands his trade. He explained things in a way that made sense and had the repair done much faster than I expected. The whole process was smooth, the price felt very reasonable, and I appreciated how quickly everything got taken care of. It’s nice finding a company that’s reliable and doesn’t make you feel pressured or confused. If you need a local plumber, especially for a plumbing repair or emergency services, I’d highly recommend S & J Plumbing. Based on my experience, I can see why they have such a good reputation. Had to have all our galvanized pipes replaced with copper pipes. Starting with Nick who came out to check out the problem and give us an estimate to Dennis and Robbie who came to our home and did a phenomenal job. Both Dennis and Robbie were pleasant, professional and courteous. Answered all our questions and gave us a tour of what they did and what they were going to do. I felt comfortable with both of them and their knowledge of our problem was exceptional. The clean up afterwards was wonderful and I would recommend SandJ for any plumbing problems you have or may encounter in the future. They are definitely our go to plumbers for any future problems. All three men were great representatives of the company.

After an absence of over a month, when we returned and turned our water back on, we could hear water running in the walls. Jonny and Gershom came on an emergency basis to diagnose and repair our burst pipe. Although they were working late, they were unfailingly polite and cheerful. It was about as painless for us as an episode like this could be. (I had a photo of them but it wouldn't upload.) 5/14/26 Used S&J again to put a shutoff valve on an outside faucet for freeze protection. Henry Enriquez did a fine job, despite finding some unexpected obstacles to deal with, which he explained to me and fixed. Totally satisfied.

Update - May 2026: Ethan went above and beyond and did an amazing job with the 4x toilet installation. Very professional, patient, knowledgeable, and excellent quality of work. Could not have asked for a better service and experience. Top notch experience starting from service request intake, subsequent automated eta updates, and end result. Chris did an excellent job deleting previous pvc pipe configuration and installing copper pipes for a whole house filtration system. Also took time to ensure everything is properly installed and answer any questions. Thanks team!

This was our first time using S & J and from the first phone call everything was fantastic. I was kept informed of when my tech would arrive and the timing. Nick arrived and we explained our issue. He checked all our water lines outside and in our crawl space. The whole time explaining to my husband what he saw. He was friendly, courteous and a true joy to work with. The price was great. I already have told people of the service and passed on your number. I even passed on Nicks name. Loved the whole experience so glad I made the call

They were able to get someone out much quicker than I expected, which was a huge plus. Art and Michael were both friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. They showed up on time, explained what needed to be done, and got everything taken care of quickly. Overall, the whole process was smooth and stress-free. My experience with S&J was excellent! 5/5 would recommend. From start to finish I felt like a valued customer. Service was prompt and they got me a tech/plumber (Jason) out super quick. The dispatch crew was thorough in hearing about my issues and making sure the technician can prepared. Jason showed up on time, was super knowledgeable, and had everything he needed to diagnose where the water stains and damage was coming from. He was thorough and not at all pushy. Just a great experience from start to finish.

The service was great from inception to completion. The tech working that installed the toilet was amazing doing a thorough job and even made sure to clean up under where the toilet was so any lingering scents, grime, bacteria, etc. beneath were gone. In the beginning I was a bit skeptical of a $49 quote fee but the price was right and I did use them so they credited it to the bill. I’m having them come back out to replace the water heater soon. 10 out of 10 and 5 stars.

Have used S&J for major work over past few years for updating & replacing several old plumbing fixtures. Yesterday was no exception. Dylan S replaced a leaking faucet & water shutoffs/connections. He made sure everything was working as it should. Dylan and the others from S&J are professional and give honest advice and feedback. Have great satisfaction with their work and the quality of the different employees that have done the work. Very happy with their service.

Unbelievable experience with S&J, especially Art, who managed the project we had. What we thought was a fairly simple project exploded because of the age of our pipes. Everything was done meticulously and explained step-by-step so we could understand what needed to be done. Several workers came out to attend to various aspects of the job. Just can’t say enough about how good they all were and they didn’t cut corners-everything done to specs.
