I called Black diamond,about having my kitchen drain cleaned. Mario,was the plumbing technician who arrived on time. He looked over the situation,and got to work. He took great care in making sure my issue was resolved to the best of his abilities. I would highly recommend Black diamond,if all of their employees are as committed to excellent work,this is a company worth having a positive experience with.

Life savers! And I’m not even a customer. Well, I am now. I had a flat and without hesitation a representative from Black Diamond pulled over and hopped out with a battery operated compressor to help. It ended up being a pretty bad gash in the sidewall and wasn’t holding air. So he went back to the truck and got some rubber cement to help hold the air so I could get to a safer spot to change the tire. It was a busy two way street and he went above and beyond trying to help. And he did! Thank you so much. Praying I don’t having any plumbing issues, but if I do, I know who I’m calling.

I am so thankful for Black Diamond! They have single handedly helped me repair and maintain my home with ease and savings since 2019. Over the years, they have installed my furnace, air conditioner, replaced water shut off valves, garbage disposal, electric doorbell (Brennan was awesome), and most recently my water tank heater (Trevor and Keith were wonderful). I always get several quotes for big repairs and Black Diamond is always the best!! They are worth every penny. Honest up front pricing, no surprises, service windows are convenient, always on time, no employee turnover (i have had the same techs) and always knowledgeable and respectful. Their scheduling/customer service team is so kind and literally always answers my calls. Their quality is so good even my HVAC permit inspector raved about them when he came. It is a god send to have one company offer the best service in all areas, plumbing,HVAC, and electrical and with the most experienced technicians, best schedulers/customer service, and for the best prices. Two years in a row, Black Diamond tells me I have a leak in my AC. In 2025, they told me the leak was fixed and system recharged. Come to find out during my 2026 annual tuneup that there’s a leak that needs to be fixed and the system will need to be recharged again. They’re trying to tell me that they never fixed the leak in 2025. Why would they recharge it and not fix the leak?? That just doesn’t make any sense. I’ve now asked on multiple occasions, over multiple years, for the leak to be fixed so we can simply move on with our lives. No one seems to even care because they’re getting their money for every visit whether they fix it or not. I’m tired of going in circles and just want it to be fixed.

I wanted to share our recent experience with Black Diamond regarding an issue we had with our well water at our home in Antioch. We suddenly found ourselves dealing with very low water pressure, and the water coming out of our faucets had a reddish tint and a strange odor. After searching for local plumbers, we decided to call Black Diamond. From the very first call, the receptionist (whose name unfortunately escapes me) was both pleasant and responsive to all our questions, making it easy to set up an appointment for the following Tuesday. The day before our scheduled appointment, the situation took a turn for the worse, so we reached out again to see if our appointment could be moved up. Once again, the receptionist was extremely accommodating and managed to reschedule us for noon that same day. Our technician, Joe R., exceeded our expectations. We received a text with Joe’s photo and a brief bio before his arrival, which was a thoughtful touch. When Joe arrived, we explained the history of the issue, including our recent flood and the steps we had already taken to address the well. Joe immediately understood the situation and began methodically working backwards from the water heater to the well tank in the crawlspace, carefully ruling out possible causes. Despite having changed the whole-house filter just two weeks earlier, it turned out to be clogged again, so we replaced it. However, the water problems persisted. Joe offered several suggestions for potential equipment upgrades but wanted to ensure we were addressing the root cause first. His thorough inspection revealed that the water tank’s pressure was low, which meant the filter and water softener weren’t functioning optimally. Joe recommended changing the tank’s pressure switch to increase the pressure range, confirmed with his office that our filter and softener would handle the adjustment, and suggested bypassing the whole-house filter to improve flow. After providing a clear quote, we proceeded with his recommendations. Although there was some residual discoloration in the water initially, Joe explained this was likely left in the pipes, and that the water softener might need a couple of cycles to fully resolve the issue. We were advised to check back after a week to see if any problems remained. Joe also performed several tests on our water quality, and everything checked out well. Overall, our experience with Black Diamond was outstanding. From the friendly receptionist, who made scheduling effortless, to Joe’s thorough and honest service—never pushing for unnecessary or expensive fixes—we felt genuinely cared for throughout the process. I would highly recommend Black Diamond to anyone in need of plumbing services, and we look forward to using them again in the future. Thank you for the excellent service!

Signed up for a 3-year membership/maintenance plan a month ago. That same day, I signed up for the “Annual Furnace + AC Tuneup” included in that membership. I was provided the date and a 4-hour window from noon to 4pm. I cleared my calendar to accommodate that 4-hour window. Fast forward to today for what was supposed to be my appointment and I still hadn’t received a call or text by 3:52pm. I called Black Diamond and was told they were running late, but someone would still be coming. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from [a not very courteous] person advising their technicians were running late, and would I like to keep holding, or reschedule for a new date and time. When I asked how much longer I could expect, and expressed frustration that I had cleared my calendar for this appointment and didn’t necessarily want to have to do the same thing for another day (especially given it took over a month to get on their calendar), I received a curt, “Our technicians are running behind. Do you want to keep holding or reschedule?” I had to press for what “keep holding” even meant and she finally said it would likely be another couple of hours. That means 6 hours wasted away waiting for this company’s service. So, not off to a great start if this is the customer service I should continue to expect with this company, mind you as a “member.”

I called early this morning to have someone come check my sump pump. Anthony was here within 2 hours, checked everything thoroughly, showed me how my pump works and how to check it myself if needed, and gave me peace of mind. He recommended some upgrades I might need to make in the future but wasn't pushy and didn't try to oversell. He did a great job and I will be using this company again. They have also helped my grandmother several times previously and did good work. I was so impressed I signed up for a 3 year membership. 05/04/26 - I have worked with Black diamond several more times since my original review, including today. They have continued to be honest and affordable every time. They always arrive on time or early and communicate clearly throughout the whole job. Their estimates are always accurate and way to understand. So high pressure sales or upsell tactics. I will continue to work with them and highly recommend anyone else to use them as well!

I’m a proud Diamond Member and officially part of the prestige family! My electrician was hands down the best — knowledgeable, patient, and professional from start to finish. I asked about 101 questions in under a minute, and he still managed to multitask, explain everything clearly, and get the job done right. He even fixed the light in my kitchen over the sink — someone before me thought it made more sense to put a plug there instead of an actual light switch and outlet combo (don’t ask 😅). But he got it working perfectly! Now I’ve got lights shining where there were no lights before! My utility room is beautifully lit with new canned lights — oh my God, excellent, très bien! As a single woman, finding honest, respectful professionals means everything. I felt comfortable, informed, and completely taken care of. Black Diamond is a true one-stop shop — they go the extra mile and make your home shine, literally and figuratively!

They represent the highest level of service one wants in their home. MARK is excellent! Nick is professional, personable and efficient Felix was very thorough and explained everything. Polite and professional! 8/8/2024 Tre is an asset to Black Diamond. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Appreciate the high bar for service. Thank you. 1/20/2025 Mike is very knowledgeable and professional! Thank you. 1/22/2025 Dustin was able to reset furnace. Again, very professional. Arranged for Felix to drop off space heaters until new furnace is installed. Black Diamond has very caring mechanics and has trained them beautifully. Bar set is very high and all have shown this.

We had a water heater replaced. It was a little more expensive than we wanted, but everything is right now. Mike did a good job. Knew what he was doing and I learned a couple of things. Friendly and courteous, and asked about wearing a mask. I would definitely recommend your company and Mike. 21.Nov.2023 - Had the humidifier on our furnace replaced by Dustin W. Knew what he was doing and did a good job in a fair amount of time. Professional, friendly, easy to talk to, knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Good man, good company and fair price. 24,Oct,24 - Tre did an excellent job as usual. Friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. I'm laid up and he worked well with my wife, explaining what I was doing. Definitely recommend Black Diamond.

First off I like to share that my family and I are not familiar with well water as we come from Chicago. We are not familiar with how well water works and almost gotten taking for a hell of a ride but thanks to Colten and black diamond they have been a blessing for my family and I. we HIGHLY recommend them especially Colton. Very intelligent, understanding, respectful, honest person. I work from home and the staff respected that and worked around my schedule. Everyone from the customer service department to the staff that came to work on our house were very polite and kind to us. Thank you for everything you have done for us. May God bless you guys.

Our A/C went out on a Sunday night. I left a voice message on the answering service at 10:30 pm. Since I'm a Black Diamond Crystal Club member Jennifer called me at 6:00 Monday morning to tell me a service tech would be out between 8-10:00 am. The tech, Nick, was at our door at 7:30 am. Nick very quickly diagnosed the problem and had the necessary part on his truck to fix our unit. He then check the entire system to make sure everything was working correctly. Nick answered all my questions, showed me what the problem was. Nick was very professional and thorough. I highly recommend him and Black Diamond in general.

John was great to work with. He handled the wiring for the lift pump issue and did a clean, professional job. He explained everything clearly and made sure I understood how the electrical side works and what to watch for moving forward. You can tell he’s very knowledgeable and takes pride in doing things right. Mike diagnosed and replaced the lift pump, and he was SUPER helpful throughout the whole process. Extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond, even helping me find a septic company and a restoration company. That level of care really stood out. Highly recommend Black Diamond!!

We had an ejector pump that reached the end of its life and left part our finished basement with a sewage water flood. We called Black Diamond and they had plumbing technicians available within a couple of hours. Jimmy A. and Keith H. detected the problem immediately and had a new pump installed within an hour so. They also recommended an outstanding company to help with the mitigation process. Thank you so much for your quick response to an awful situation.
