Bryan was exceptional from start to finish. He was incredibly thorough, taking the time to walk me through every step of what he was doing. His explanations were clear, informative, and never rushed. I appreciated how he laid out his recommendations in a way that made sense. A professional… knowledgeable, respectful, and genuinely committed to doing the job right. Highly recommend.
Excellent and professional interactions. Very personable and professional technician. He seemed completely confident in his expertise and experience without being dismissive or condescending in any way… he was completely capable of handling our issue. Price was extremely high compared to the national average. It was explained as a set price no mater how long the job would take which could be beneficial for what I would believe would be 25% of the calls. I would be fine with the price if it was a late Sunday evening call and was able to show up within the window originally given. With a company as large as RR I would expect they have plenty of units on standby. My guy came from a call in Newburyport which does seem like an in-efficient coverage area. Over all very happy and appreciative of RR service and Bryan’s professionalism made the price worth it by 930 that evening. I would have been a very sour customer if I had to wait that long and had to deal with a “typical” less professional tech. Thank you. I would recommend with my experience ( I don’t give full stars on many things on principle alone… I am happy to give Bryan all 5!)
Yet again, another great service from Roto-Rooters. Manny performed a pump replacement as it was preventing my sink from working. Not only did he complete in a timely manner, he was respectful, informative, and genuine. He was very responsive as per my requests because we have family members with dementia here, and he handled all requests perfectly. Very appreciative of manny and roto-rooters, not only because of the service done, but how fast and timely the progress went as well. 10/10 experience and I do and will continue to share their names. Thank you again Manny !!
Here’s a more polished and professional version that still clearly conveys how frustrating the experience was: Extremely disappointed with my overall experience with Roto-Rooter. The initial service for unclogging a sewage backup in my basement was excellent. The customer service representative was helpful, and the technician, Jude, arrived within two hours. He was professional, explained everything clearly, and made me feel confident about the process. Unfortunately, everything after that went downhill. A supervisor contacted me and scheduled a follow-up inspection to audit the line. I took a day off work to be home for the appointment, but no one called or showed up. Assuming there had been a misunderstanding, I waited again the following day and ended up losing another day of PTO. When I called customer service for clarification, I was told I was “not in the system.” After explaining that I had receipts and documentation, the representative abruptly hung up on me. When I finally spoke with another supervisor, someone eventually came out to run a camera through the line. I was presented with two repair options — approximately $7,500 and $14,000. However, the written quote emailed to me later was over $20,000, which was extremely concerning and inconsistent with what had been discussed in person. I decided to get additional estimates from other companies, many of whom simply asked for the camera footage. I then learned Roto-Rooter charges approximately $700 just to release the footage. On top of that, the employee I spoke with regarding the video was incredibly rude, constantly interrupted me, and spoke to me in a condescending manner as though I could not understand basic information. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told they would “maybe do me a favor” by requesting a discount. At no point did I feel valued as a customer. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, inconsistent pricing, and dismissive treatment made this an incredibly frustrating experience. I understand repairs are expensive, but customers deserve honesty, respect, and basic professionalism throughout the process.
Never a good time for a sewer line back up. Saw an issue in our basement bathroom where the sewer line started to back up. Luckily, we caught this early. Contacted Roto-Rooter and they came within their two hour service window. Bryan, (the first on the scene) asked some good background questions and explained a best process forward. There definitely was a clog between the house and where the sewer line connected at the street. Line was reamed, a snag detected and everything cleaned out.
