I recently had a plumbing issue at one of my rental units and had a great experience with Roto-Rooter in Charlottesville. They were extremely responsive from the beginning, maintained great communication throughout the process, and even called me a few times to keep me updated when they were running late, which I really appreciated. The technician was very attentive, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything in detail without making me feel rushed. The work was completed properly, and everyone I dealt with was respectful, professional, and friendly. It’s hard to find companies that combine good customer service with quality work these days, and Roto-Rooter definitely delivered. Highly recommend!
Randall from Roto-Rooter was FANTASTIC! He was so polite, personable, knowledgeable, and effective! He walked me through each step of the process in an easy-to-understand way, performed a thorough inspection to identify my issue, and solved it promptly! He also explained exactly how/why my issue occurred (based on the age of my house and the type of pipes I have) and explained how I can mitigate/prevent the same issue from recurring. Five stars for sure!
A huge thank you to Will and Roto Rooter. They helped me out when I was in a time crunch. They had a plumber out quickly. He explained the issue to me thoroughly and answered all my questions. The work was completed quickly and competently. Will was a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be using Roto Rooter in the future!
Their secretary Sarah is the rudest person I have ever dealt with in customer service. Which is unfortunate because their technician Travis was an amazing. She attempted to tell me what I should or shouldn't be doing with my tenants on my rental property, she interrupted and made assumptions through the entire conversation I had with her. She also decided, rather than letting me explain how my tenants and us have our arrangement set up how WE agreed to, which doesnt effect her or how she gets paid, she decided to continue to be rude and told me she was pulling the technician from the jobsite. She is a nasty individual and I dont recommend dealing with this company simply because she is the person you have to deal with before getting any of their helpful technicians. Literally the worst customer service, you should be ashamed to speak to people they way you did when we are willing to provide you business. I wish I could leave the recording of the phone call on here just so everyone could hear how nasty and rude she is.
Technician came, replaced a broken drain pipe, but misaligned the end that will feed into our new shower replacement. Called to have someone return. They sent their "more experienced plumber" out to do repairs. He apologized for the poor placement of the previous shower, but said I would have to have my carpenter come out to remove the sub-floor before they came back to re-repair the shower drain. Called again to ask for another solution. The receptionist spoke over top of me, with the bullying weight of the three technicians who have been out, saying I had agreed to have the sub-floor removed before they came out to repair the drain. (I did not agree to this. I told each of them they could cut through the sub-floor to better access the drain for repair, because I would eventually replace that section of sub-flooring. This should be no problem to prove, since she said we were on a recorded line.) She finally made note of my request to not have them return to fix the drain. (I made no such request. I asked that they cut through whatever they had to cut through to fix the drain. Again, should be no problem, since we were on that "recorded line.") $800+ bill. AND she said they would credit me for the $90 service call from today, which they told me yesterday would be free because the work was still under "warranty" (Reference that "recorded line." I do NOT recommend using Roto-Rooter/Charlottesville, VA.) Update: Received a full refund for the job.
