I had an outstanding experience with Jeff Hicks from Radiant Plumbing. Jeff was professional, polite, punctual, and extremely knowledgeable from start to finish. He took the time to thoroughly explain my system in a way that was easy to understand and made sure I knew exactly what the issue was and how he planned to fix it. What truly impressed me was his efficiency and expertise. After another company spent over six days just trying to assess the problem, Jeff was able to diagnose and fully repair it within 24 hours. That level of competence and responsiveness is rare and deeply appreciated. Beyond fixing the immediate issue, Jeff also educated me on what to watch for in the future and how to properly maintain my system to avoid similar problems. His honesty, transparency, and ethical approach gave me complete confidence in his work. Jacob Martin was awesome at his job! We are satisfied with the service he provided on our clogged sink, he is a true professional. We had an appointment at 12pm but instead Radiant was able to come earlier at 8am. We will be reaching out to Radiant in the future! Highly recommend this company for your plumbing needs! David is very customer focused- above and beyond. *update 4/22/26. Scheduling nightmares. Promises over the phone are not kept, e.g. as making an appt and then cancelling it day of and then moving the appt you reschedule. This is all while knowing the day the option period is up for my home sale. We all have time for that. It reads as saying whatever will get the customer off of the phone and then let the next rep deal with it. Dismissive apologies are fun too. They used to be my go to. Not anymore. Smaller businesses know integrity is how you keep customers. Use JD Plumbing. After posting this update, they cancelled the tech who texted me that they were on the way.
Negative 5 stars if I could! Absolute worst experience ever with a service provider! Your high pressure needs based sales system for a service is appalling! I will never use Radiant again and will tell all my neighbors, friends, family, and Clients in the Austin area to avoid your company. The lack of respect by the “Sr Tech”/ High Pressure Sales Rep was so bad. I told your high pressure sales rep I would be getting a 2nd and 3 quote all the while knowing my first call on Monday 4/20 would be to the city of Cedar Park because the issue in the sewer line is within the city utility easement. Never once did your high pressure sales rep ever bring this up or know to bring it up even when I pointed out that the issue in the sewer line was not on my property. He continued down the path of sell sell sell even asking my neighbor what kind of sod he had. I told him I would never finance this job and when he “worked up my options” he then quoted me the job in terms of financing it. I said let’s just see the price which was astronomical and outrageous! The City of Park inspected my sewer line to the street and will do the repairs and there is no cost. Your company quoted option 1 20k to replace entire sewer line, 10k to fix 2 problem spots in line, and 5k to address the main issue of a root in the sewer line. I was so frustrated with your high pressure sales rep I told him to leave and get the hell off my property. I feel for the unknowing homeowner who doesn’t recognize your company’s really bad high pressure deceitful and ignorant sales tactics.
I broke up with Radiant this week. And I do not have one bad experience. Its been multiple issues, over time. One thing I will say right in the beginning is that I feel like the technical team that comes to your house is hard working, kind, and showing signs of burnout and physical breakdown. I feel for them, and my beef is not with them at all. If you hire radiant, here's what to expect: First, they installed a new upstairs unit for my AC during Covid. It was 6500. At the time we discussed replacing my outdoor unit. I was told by the team it was fine and did not need replacing. 2 years later--they say it is near failure, and that the coolant laws have changed and I need to replace the entire indoor and outdoor unit to be compliant. Approx cost $15,000. Next they replace my water heater and install a Flotek device to keep the pipes clean. Cost: $7500. The night of installation my breaker switch flips at 4 AM and wakes me up. I go to the kitchen, and flip it back on. There is a large popping noise and a large fire arc from the water heater. Im hysterical. The next day the tech comes back out and before he looks at my water heater starts telling me its my house's wiring and my problem. I tell him to look at the unit and then we can talk. Sure enough--there was a faulty plastic covering on the water heater that melted and exploded. They told me it was a manufacturing error. It was corrected. No apology for the gaslighting that came before it was caught. Now, 6 weeks out from water heater and Flotek install I was instructed to set up a water heater flush. This is so that the debris that breaks loose does not clog my pipes. I take a day off from work. I set the appointment. I call Radiant the AM of the appt because I have not heard from them. They say--the tech will be there after 2 PM. I wait. At 1:30 I get a text that I need to reschedule because they are busy with emergencies. So Im done. I have been fleeced by this company. I also experienced high pressure, scare tactics about carbon dioxide levels in my home. With a tech telling me what CO2 does to the human body. Im in the medical field and have a doctorate. CO2 at high levels increases your respiratory drive. If you were in trouble, you would notice because you'd breathe faster. I feel bad for the general public without medical training. Its been a wild ride Radiant. Good luck to you and your crappy, corporate business, and god bless the men and women who's backs you are breaking in your tech department.
10/22/23- Danny provided excellent service and help in replacing our 'old' master bathroom toilet. Awesome at explaining options for service & toilet replacement. Will use Radiant again as we have in the past. 3/7/23:Dan did an excellent job of troubleshooting & resolving the electrical issue plus simply explaining the issue & resolution. Will use Radiant again!! 12/8/23: Matt did an awesome & professional job in diagnosing & resolving our shower faucet issue. Definitely recommend the Radiant team. 6/25/24: Jonathan was extremely professional and very quick in diagnosing and resolving the problem. Very Happy we invested in the Radiant Care Club. Very convenient in 95 degree heat and A/C stops working in the AM and issue resolved before end of the day! 12/17/24: Christian did an excellent job of servicing our water heater. Explained scaling build up & provided great tips on warning signs for failing water heater. Another positive for investing in Radiant Care Club! 2/28/25: Brady did an excellent & thorough job. Deeply appreciate time he spent to explain ALL that he did beyond normal replacement of filter. We are very happy to be Radiant Care Club member. October 2025: Had New water heater & Flow-Tech MAX Anti-Scale installed by Radiant Team- Paul Ojeda, Antonio Munoz, Justin Newlin, Joe Hernandez. Entire process went very smoothly including excellent hand-off between Paul, Antonio, & Joe. Already seeing results from Flow-Tech MAX Anti-Scaler. Think my wife is more excited about the Flow-Tech than the new water heater. Also great to learn that Radiant has added an Electrical Business unit. One-stop shopping for a homeowner. November 2025: Preston Nichols provided excellent service & support when fixing Master Bathroom toilet. Went the extra mile!! November 2025: Jacob Rose was super helpful on solving our plugged sink kitchen drain. Very thorough in explanation & execution of the work. Very clean & tidy which my wife really appreciated as Thanksgiving preparations underway when the sink clogged. April 2026: Nathan Burke was AWESOME! Listened to our needs. Went the extra mile to help us choose an affordable, quality kitchen sink faucet. Went to local Home Depot to pickup and he found a better faucet to fit our needs & budget. Very positive customer experience.
Adding more for Michael who reset a leaking toilet today for us. Michael did a great job and explained clearly what was causing the leak and the range of options available to us. He went above and beyond to ensure it's less likely to happen again. I was very pleased with the work and Michael was a joy to talk to and get to know a bit as well. Marcel, Jacob, and David have all been out over the past week to help me work through a few issues that cropped up recently with my 50 year old home. Each of them have been a delight to work with and went above and beyond. They all helped me understand what they were doing, why it was important, and gave me short-term and long-term options to help me prioritize. I especially appreciated the focus on education and transparency to help me make the right decision for me and also to help myself more in the future for the more approachable problems that may come up. It is rare these days to get this quality of service.
We had a shower valve cartridge fail the other evening and the shower basically wouldn't turn off. As an engineer, I can do a lot with plumbing but not knowing exactly how to find the right cartridge and how to remove/replace it, I decided to get a plumber. I asked Gemini for recommendation on plumbers that service my area and Radiant plumbing was very high on the list. So, I called Radiant and they sent someone out the next morning as promised between 8 and 12 (probably closer to 9 or 9:30 which was great). Their plumber, Nicolas, was super nice and replaced the cartridge and reassembled the faucet in less than 30 minutes. I was very happy with the quick turn around, and the fact he had the replacement part right on his truck. On top of that, they gave me a veteran's discount, which was unexpected but really appreciated. I am totally happy with Radiant, and will call them the next time I have a need.
Brent came in with a smile on his face and was so polite and helpful as he diagnosed the issue. He also asked if I needed anything else done and was able to get almost everything I needed completed same day. He answered questions and offered solutions to easy fixes. He also did not mind teaching me things about my home that I had no idea about. AJ came in to actually replace the water heater, and he and his helper were very efficient and polite and easy to work with. They were tidy and left the place in great shape. It was so rainy that day but they were careful to not track in mud. Great bunch of guys. Not sure really about the price. I feel it was pretty high but then again every dang thing is high right now. It’s done and over with. If I had to do it again, I would call them again. Here’s praying I don’t.
After confirming that my existing water softener had a unrepairable leak I was provided a few quotes to have it replaced. After reviewing the quotes I opted to have Radiant install a new softener which they provided and after accepting the quote I was contacted within the same evening to schedule the install. Mike just finished up, gave a brief explanation (similar to my only units operation) and left the manual and ensured if I had any questions I could reach out. The old unit will be picked up and properly disposed of as part of the service, a major plus. Thanks to Mike and all of the Radiant team I’ve had the pleasure of working with thus far. I look forward to our continued relationship and feel at ease that I have them by my side.
Noone wants to come back from a trip to find water in their home's water heater pan. I needed a new water heater and contacted Radiant at the advice of a couple of friends. Radiant sent out a highly knowledgeable service man, Ezekiel, to my home. He walked me through the validation of the broken water heater. He provided a VERY competitive set of rates on varying replacements and warranties. After choosing one, an install team, led by Antonio, was sent to my home. The installation was TOP NOTCH! The replacement, Rheem, has a warranty which gives me the peace of mind. Radiant is DEFINITELY a top-tier service company and I would have no issue recommending them to others! We've trusted Radiant with our plumbing and HVAC for years, and today was our first time using the company for electrical services. The service and quality of work is the same high standard we have received across all other services the company provides. We have tried many other big name service providers in Austin, and none have provided as good of service as Radiant. Jason D. was our electrician today and he was fantastic. Very well-mannered, worked quickly and effectively, and offered estimates for solutions to improve our electrical system without being pushy at all. Looking forward to seeing Jason again in a few weeks to finish up work on our fans.
Really impressed with Shiloh, who came out today with a trainee to do a maintenance check on our HVAC system. Super thorough, had reasonable recommendations, really explained the symptoms and root cause of some of the system issues he identified, and showed me photos to provide evidence of the problem areas. As an engineer, he was happy to get into the technical details of how things were measured with me and was both respectful and courteous with our home and myself. The cost of these repairs and replacements were provided upfront and in the report, and didn’t feel salesman-esque. We would definitely request Shiloh for future visits!
Great experience with Paul Ojeda, Jason Barta and Juan Rojas! I sent a service request online for my water heater and AC unit all the guys arrived within hours of that request. Paul went over the water heater details and Jason inspected the AC/Heater units. Luckily I was able to replace the water heater prior to a major break and the AC unit came up good for now. Juan came to replace the unit and the comfort specialist was scheduled to make a visit and walk through new AC/heater options when the time is right. Quick, professional and reliable service that came with explanations and patience. Well done Radiant Team!
