Great experience with Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Chattanooga. They were professional, showed up when they said they would, and explained everything clearly before starting the work. The technician was respectful of our property and made sure the job was done right. It’s hard to find service companies that take this much pride in their work anymore. Highly recommend them if you need a reliable plumber in the Chattanooga area.

I had to call these guys out for an issue with plumbing in my kitchen and they were timely, efficient and reasonably priced. Great company to work with, I highly recommend giving them a call if you find yourself in need of services.

Fantastic service! He came out last minute on a Sunday, diagnosed and helped ensure we were good, suggested some (needed) upgrades, and was in the next day taking care of that too. Highly recommend!!

I just had a water leak in the yard and picked-up the phone book and saw this friendly ad, "MR. ROOTER." I called and they had a nice young man come out and assess the job, but then when they saw where I lived he had to take pictures and discuss how much to charge. They wound-up charging me 35.00 per foot to add 100 foot of PEX from the water meter to the house. From there, everything went downhill. After having the yard marked and pointing out where the demark point from the yard to the house, they STILL COULD NOT FIND THE COPPER PIPE coming out of the house. They resorted to calling two more people out (one with a metal detector and another young man with two wires swinging from his hands. After two days of digging and them getting behind on jobs (they line them up for profit so there is no room for error), they gave up and asked me if they could run a new line to save time and finish up the job. Begrudgingly my wife and I agreed. The PEX was run from the meter box into my basement with two 90-degree connections in the basement (not a demark point to solid copper outside the house), so now if there ever becomes a leak it is INSIDE THE HOUSE. When I went to sign the bill, they charged me an additional $385.00 to do it. I don't blame the young men who did the work; they were just doing what they were told. The company is a FRANCHISE that will hire most anyone who can demonstrate they have strong work ethics. Experience comes with time. If you want a company with experienced journeymen and have an honest business-model, this is definitely not the one. Two days and $4,000.00 later and my head still hurts...I have been had.

DO NOT RECOMMEND WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY My call was regarding a gurgling sound in kitchen-laundry room sink when the dishwasher/washing machine drain. Sounded like a clog inside the pipes. Called Mr. Rooter to set up appt to check it out as they were the only ones that Would come out to the country. They immediately went down the path that it's septic tank related. Not once did they go into the house to look or test out the sound to hear it for themselves. Instead, they gave a long verbal description of why it's septic tank related. Keep in mind, I know nothing about plumbing and depend greatly on honest plumbers to help me understand what I'm paying for. $4000 later and a very costly lesson learned: 1. Mr. Rooter of Chattanooga preys on uneducated and inexperienced customers. 2. Does not perform a full diagnosis check before determining what the root cause actually is. 3. Charges an exuberant amount of money for things that may not fix the issue. After septic was pumped, a poorly installed second riser missing screws, incoming and outgoing pipes flushed and two service charges, the problem was still not resolved. A week later I finally found a plumbing company that could come out to the country to help. Two hours and $325 later, problem solved. Turns out the in house pipes just needed some flushing. Had nothing at all to do with the septic tank. Hopefully I made my point clear and others listen. Please don't waste your time or money on Mr. Rooter.

If I could leave no stars I would. We called Mr. Rooter to unclog a sewer line back in March 2020. The technician came out and said he would need to spray/ hose the clog. The first time the technician put the hose into the clean-out wrong and sprayed sewage all over the roof of the house. He then attempted to spray the clog a second time, again he put the hose in wrong and sewage sprayed up from every toilet, drain, sink in the house. He said he was sorry and would give us $100 off the service (great) and he would have to come back the next day as he thought the clean-out was installed wrong. He came back the next day and started to dig where the clog was and hit the water main line (he did not mark the water main line prior to digging). This contaminated our water with the sewage leaking. He told us not to use our water for two weeks as sewage could be in the water pipes (we had a three month old baby!). He then had to repair the water line to our house, which has subsequently broken twice and we have had to have repaired. The technician seemed extremely over worked. Said he had been working 12+ hour days for over two weeks. Mr. Rooter makes you pay for all services upfront so we had no recourse and could not get a refund. I have called the office 4 times to speak with the owner and I am always told "he will call you within 24 hours". I have never received a call back and have had to file a complaint with the BBB. I would never use this service.

They STOLE $500 from my bank account. Called Mr. Rooter, for an ESTIMATE ONLY, to have a leaky bathtub faucet looked at and some old galvanized pipes replaced with PVC on FridayJune 25, 2021. Zach shows up and checked out the leaky bathtub faucet and flashed his cell phone light around in my basement and crawlspace. Went to his truck an came back with an ESTIMATE of $1,970, he said that the faucet would cost $270 to replace so I told him "I'm GOOD ON THAT, I'LL DO IT MYSELF". Come to find out that it was only a rubber seat that I replaced for $3.64..... yeah that's right THREE DOLLARS AND SIXTY FOUR CENTS. Now I ain't the smartest mofo in the world but come on lil buddy, so he writes up a ticket for $1,700 but didn't have the materials for the job and said "I CAN GET TO IT ON MONDAY" being June 28, 2021. I wanted the work done so I agreed to it and then he says "THERE'S A $500 DEPOSIT" ,so the next day, Saturday June 26, 2021 I text Zach to inform him that I'll be looking around for more estimates and got the job done for $1,000 cheaper than Mr. Rooter, so I text Zach once again to inform him that I was moving in a different direction with my plumbing job and he replies "YOU CAN'T GET THE 500 BACK SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE"..... I'm like WOOOOOOOOOOOW, so I called the secretary at Mr. Rooter and she says the same thing. Long story short I contacted my bank and they're on the job as I type. STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM MR. ROOTER!!!!!🤬

I gave them one star because there is nothing lower and they did show up- I wish they hadn't then they couldn't have defrauded me and my 73 year old husband out of $7,000. We had a large water bill due to a leak outside the house. Mr Rooter staff arrived and spent quite a while checking under house. We were told there was a small leak they repaired but the meter indicated there was still a large leak. They told the only way to guarantee to find and correct leak was to replace the entire water line for $6000. The under house repair was additional $1000. Several months later the leak came back. Mr Rooter came over checked the water line and refused to honor their warranty. We hired a new plumber and he found the original leak under the house that had been repaired with electrical tape. There was extensive water damage under the house because of it. He fixed it for under $300. We did not need a new water line in the first place. Mr Rooter will not return our calls or respond to a letter sent by our lawyer. My husband had a double knee replacement and had not been able to check Mr Rooters work so they took advantage of us and drained our retirement savings. It was unadulterated fraud. DO NOT USE Mr Rooter or Wesley Parks their employee.

I've rarely gone onto Google to leave a really bad review but this one is special. 1st trip was to fix a pipe leaking next to our rental home which is on the same.water line we are. Valve and pipe have been dug down to and around and we knew which way the leak was. Quickly replaced 3 feet of pipe which he had to dig using my shovel no more than 3 feet because the pipe was only that long and most of the hole had been dug already. He charged my family $1200. $300 was for the digging. Everyone I've spoken to and have seen in person the area, friends and professional, said that was way too much. 2nd trip Valve had to be replaced different guy. I complained that the price last time was outrageous and now the same piece of pipe now needs a new value. He said they wouldn't charge me. 3rd trip, same area of pipe still within a year, 1st guy 1st trip called to be sure I would be paying since they took the 2nd trip out of his check. Right here it continues to go to hell. But I figure this is enough and I hope I can save someone else from the same fate.

We bought a hot water heater and had it installed by Mr. Rooter back in August 2020. in January 2021 the hot water heater went out and the manufacturer agreed to warranty off the product. Mr. rooter tried to charge us $650 as a “service fee “and when we refused to pay it they went down to 450 and again down to 250. It just proves that they were making up this “service fee” and they couldn’t even give me an itemized receipt of what this fee was for. Funny enough we didn’t have this few when they installed the u it the first time. Regardless we agreed to let them do the job because we were so sick of not having hot water. When our 3 to 5 window had passed and the tech had still not shown up we finally heard back From him at 6o’clock at night and he said his “supervisor had sent him to another job instead of our house”. In the end we told him just forget about it and we took care of the problem ourselves. The supervisor was super unprofessional and this company is a joke.

We called Mr Rooter to come and take a look at a leak we had in our basement ceiling. It was the 3rd of July and I really think the man that came to look at the leak just didn't want to work. He claimed the leak was impossible to get at. Dry wall would have to be cut open, electrical lines moved, gas line cut and capped off by gas company and HVAC ducts moved. He basically said they were not set up to handle this problem. Now what? If you are a plumbing company that can't figure out how to fix a plumbing leak then what? My husband came home, I told him what was said and he came up with a solution to the problem without tearing down walls and he is NOT a plumber. We called a different company on Monday and they had someone there in a few hours. This man looked at the issue, came up with a solution to the problem and he had it fixed and was gone in 2 1/2 hours. No drywall removal! No gas, electric or HVAC company needed. Mr Rooter is now crossed off my call list!

We had a sudden back up of our septic tank and we called Mr. Rooter. They couldn't come out the same day b/c it was a Sunday which we completely understood but they came out the next day, Monday morning, diagnosed the problem and got us back up and running in a matter of hours. We were not expecting that given that they are probably slammed on Mondays with things happening over the weekend. They even got our septic tank lid up to code with a fitted cap for future service. They were very professional and accommodating and we are very happy with the fast service. I'm sure everyone feels like it's an "emergency" when this happens, but they treated us like we were the priority and we felt like that was the case even though they were probably really busy. We are thankful for their help and will definitely be recommending them to others.

If you're in need of a plumber at 9:00 PM on a Sunday night, I would highly recommend Joseph. He was very responsive and showed up within the hour. While the visit was very expensive, Joseph was very upfront about the cost and the services he was going to provide. In addition to diagnosing and fixing the sewage pipe, he identified a much larger issue with the septic line installed by the builder that was going to cause more problems in the future. I can't thank and recommend Joseph enough for when you have a plumbing emergency! The only reason I'm giving Mr. Rooter 4 stars is because of the $900 charge for an hours worth of work. I'm sure these prices are set by the owner or corporate. This rating is not a complaint against Joseph, the quality of his work, or the expertise he provides as he deserves 5+ stars!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We contacted this company the end of May and they came out and charged us $450 to unclog our toilet (all they did was to take the toilet out and run the snake). Later when we called Roto-Rooter for the same service, they said they would charge $200. Today, the same problem happened and we expected that they would fix it at no charge since the problem was not resolved. However, they came back out and then charged us another $350 just to tell us that we had to replace our pipes for $2000. When confronted with why they charged $450 for the first visit and didn't fix our issue, they responded that they didn't guarantee that it would be fixed. We are disputing these charges and are having Roto-Rooter come out and actually fix our issue. I would NEVER recommend this company to ANYONE.
