Called in at 0800, had repair guys (Caleb and Jesse) here by 12 noon. Completed tough job(total reroute of under kitchen sink drain) by 2:45. Super clean on completion. Even rolled kitchen rug back in place.
I had a high water bill and called Keefe Plumbing. Matthew came out and found the issue with a toilet that I didn’t know was running. He fixed it and also fixed my outside water faucet that I had been having trouble with. Matthew and Juan were very professional and took care of my issue quickly! Thank you so much!!!
Matthew and Juan did an excellent job!! Very knowledgeable, trustworthy and clean!! I let them go to my home without anyone there as I’ve used Keefe several times. They called me on their way and when they were done with the job, called and explained what he found and the repairs made. I couldn’t even tell they had been there when I got home! No shoe prints or messes left behind!! Thank you for another great job by Keefe Plumbing!!
We have a 97 year old home and asked Keefe to install an outside spigot. We were remodeling the laundry room and the pipes for the spigot were in the laundry wall. We removed the paneling to give them access to the pipes. We also paid for a boring company to come and bore the hole for the spigot. Keefe would not give us an estimate for the work because of the age of the house. They installed the spigot after a couple of hours. They had to come back out the next day because it was installed incorrectly. The laundry room was finished and paneling replaced. All was well, then winter came...our "frost free" spigot froze. We accept some responsibility because we left a hose pipe connected to it on a night it dipped below freezing. We didn't ask for or know anything about this type of "frost free" pipe nor were we advised on how to care for it. It was Keefe's job to communicate that to us. They then charged us $135 to come back out and see why the spigot wasn't working. They informed us the inside pipe was cracked and our only option was to rip apart the finished laundry room. We now have a useless spigot after investing over $1500! We will never use Keefe again.
Worker stole my mom's towels, then when she called the lady cussed her out .. she is 85 years old why would she lie? Never use again
DO NOT USE KEEFE UNLESS YOU KNOW PLUMBING AND KNOW WHAT SHOUD BE DONE. if you are not knowledgeable about plumbing you will end up paying for unnecessary repairs as we did. We have used Keefe Plumbing before and have been satisfied but recently we had them come to repair a toilet and to do preventive measures on faucets. They charged us $492 to reseat a toilet and change flappers in 2 toilets and change washers in 3 sinks ( not sure of the proper terms for making sink faucets not leak, you should be able to depend on the plumber to know what to do). Well one toilet would not quit running after their repairs and one faucet that was not leaking before began to leak. Called them back and they fixed toilet, the chain on flapper was too short. As to the sink that was leaking (so without checking their previous work) 2nd plumber immediately decided that our main pressure value had to be replace at a cost of an additional $529. After replacing that the 2nd plumber checked the sink to find out that the first plumber also from Keefe had not properly changed the "seat" I think that is what he called it. He said the first plumber should have known to do this. I feel we were manipulated in to additional unneeded repairs. Do not use these plumbers. I might have been happier with my experience if Cody had been the first plumber to come, but unfortunately he was the one sent to correct the mess the others had made. Bottom line if you do not know enough about plumbing to check their recommendations you will get taken and they will then blame it on you for authorizing the repairs that you trusted your plumber to know what he is doing. I appealed to the owner and she refused to admit that they had made unnecessary repairs and just kept saying that my husband had authorized them even though he had been misinformed about the need.
Wow! What a customer oriented company. Of course, it is a family owned business. This morning I wondered why I heard hard running water from the front yard. Upon going outside, I saw that one of the faucets was pouring from the top! I tried to turn it off but was unable to. The first company I called (close to home) offered no assistance whatsoever, although it would have been fast money for them since they are so close. I then called KEEFE PLUMBING. The young lady asked me to hold for just a minute, and when she got back on the phone, she said all their plumbers had been dispatched, so their SERVICE MANAGER was going to come out. He was here in about twenty minutes, didn't even knock on the door before I heard the water stop. I opened the door and there he was... He had turned off the main valve to the house and proceeded to do what I was unable to do... stop the leak at the source. He started to leave and I asked him what I owed him... he said NOT A THING! Now, I can't guarantee they will do that for everyone, but he was nice, took care of the problem, and the office staff was great. I will always call KEEFE PLUMBING to do my work. ALSO, I AM IN CHATTANOOGA, NOT SAN FRANCISCO.
We had Keefe plumbing install a gas line to our new gas stove. 1 1/2 years later we needed to pull the stove out from the wall to get behind the stove and soon after we had a gas smell. Keefe pluming would not work with us unless we paid full price on the repair. The gas leak is from a elbow Keefe plumbing installed, however the owner said they will not give us a break on the service call since it was over a year old. I understand how 1 year warranties work and I was willing to pay a service call charge. I don't think it's good customer service in this situation since it's a rarity to be moving stoves on a routine basis so having moved the stove 1 1/2 later, having an issue and wanting to charge full price for the pipeline they installed isn't reasonable. All I wanted was to come up with a reasonable amount up front because of this unforeseen circumstance, but the owner of Keefe plumbing was not willing to do so , I will search for another company. I guess Keefe plumbing isn't interested in repeat customers.
I called Keefe Plumbing to get an estimate to connect the 2 water lines to a new gas water heater. I spoke with Emily and she gave me a price of $125.00 per hour and the time started when the tech left their location. I checked on what was their availability and then told her I would have to check my schedule and would call her back. I called back within 30 minutes to confirm and spoke with a different lady, I explained to her that I had just spoke with Emily and wanted to schedule the service. She told me the labor rate would be $195.00 per hour because it requires 2 techs. She would not honor the labor rate that I had just been given 30 minutes earlier. I explained that the new water heater is the exact same model of my previous heater and I just need to have the copper line fittings connected to the line. How does that require 2 techs? I explained that the water heater is in an open garage area with no access issues. Very disappointed with this company and their customer service.
Kay and team, Thank you for your assistance in our time of need! Hot water may seem like something so simple, we clearly all take for granted. When you attempt to utilize the hot water and there is none, showers become a great fear. David called us very promptly after our first notice of the need for service and then like a super hero had an in person response very late on a Saturday. He was so professional; he and a team member were out to our house in under an hour to bypass the issue until a part could be replaced on Monday. On Monday (today) another team member, Adam called by 9 am and informed us he was on he way to replace the part. WOW!!! Top notch team of total professionals! Thank you for allowing us to no longer fear a shower!!!
Beware of hidden travel charges to the bill. Placed a call to have parts replaced on 2 toilets. When presented the bill at completion of service, it was much higher than expected because "it took 28 minutes travel time to get to here". Bill was not itemized so there is no breakdown for parts, labor and travel time. When scheduling the call, the office said it was $125 minimum charge. NO mention of travel to be included in charges. Two personnel were here for approximately 30 minutes to complete the repairs. Had I known of travel charges, I would have opted for a different company. The man taking the money said that other people have complained about this as well. Terrible communication! Hidden fees!
Everyone from the estimator to the workers who did the actual job (3-day project) showed professional behavior, courtesy, and great pride in their work. They called to let me know when they would arrive and were always punctual. They left the area neater than they even found it! Matthew was the leader on my project (he had two other helpers whose names I didn’t get) and was absolutely fantastic - he explained exactly what they were doing and how it would get done. Could not ask for a better result and would recommend this company to anyone who needed plumbing work. Love that it is a locally owned family business!
I called Keefe plumbing due to an issue I was having with my Navien on demand hot water heater. When using hot water I would get an ear piercing whistle. I tried other service providers and was told “you’ll just have to deal with it”. With in a few minutes of looking into the unit, Mathew from Keefes figured out the noise was due to the incorrect gas fitting adapter. When the unit was installed as a part of the new construction, the high altitude natural gas fitting was installed. I am on PROPANE. It took less than 5 mins for Mathew and Jason to change the fittings. Thank you so much Mathew and Jason!!!
This was going to be a one star review. But shout-out to Jennifer and the owner for saving the day and potentially a lot of hotel rates. There was some mix up and my appointment to unclog my main sewage line was never scheduled! Meaning we were probably going to go a total of 6 days without operational drains in our house. I get it, things happen....but there was a lot of adjusting to make that appointment work, and that was not good news at all. But Jennifer had compassion for the situation, reached out to the owner, and has now made it right. Thank you!
100% happy with Keefe plumbing! We called Jamie at 9:30am in need of help at our home and she was so kind to hear our problems and get the guys prepped for the job. The guys were ready to meet by 1pm. Cody and Jesse showed up and immediately got to work. They addressed all of the problems and corrected them quickly. We were nervous about the cost of repairs but surprisingly it was much lower than we expected. We will be recommending Keefe to everyone we know! They took a stressful situation off of our hands. Thanks guys!
