What To Watch Out For

Pricing transparency issues on Yelp: flat-rate quotes without labor/parts breakdown, $440 for a 30-minute drain snake, and $600 quote on a part costing $150–200.

Scheduling inconsistency: cancelled appointment due to rain with 30-minute notice, then reversed the cancellation — creating confusion without resolution.

Excellent service and completed work. Jose was very knowledgeable in his trade. He completed a re-piping of drain/vents and set a new shower valve for a bathroom remodel in 1 day. Everyone involved from Champion was professional and courteous. I feel the completed work was well worth the cost and would highly recommend Champion.

Michael assessed and recommended the perfect solution for replacing / upgrading the water softner/treatment system that I had installed in 2022. He did an amazing job with the replacement of the softner unit and installation of the brine tank in the new shed. He left the work area in impeccable condition and even removed the old system and reverse osmosis unit that was also replaced. I would gladly welcome having Micheal supporting any plumbing need through Champion services!

You never want to need a plumber. It’s not a call you look forward to making or an appointment you’re eager to have, but Champion has been a phenomenal company to work with. Austin was our specialist and he was prompt, polite, and efficient, getting a stubborn kitchen sink back in functioning order! I hope I don’t have to see him again, but if I ever do have any plumbing needs, I know that Austin (or any other Champion technicians) will help me resolve my issues!

Not sure if they have good plumbing service or not since they cancelled due to weather. Guess they don't check the forecast and call 30 mins before an appointment and say they can't come out because of the rain. Iv seen plenty of plumbing services use a canopy. Thanks Mr. Plumber for wasting my day, you guys should call Mr. Weather next time. Then then called back to say they would come out, but Im not a fan of giving business to a company that starts off on the wrong foot. You can't come out, you can come out, which is it?

Please do not patronize this company. The only positive experience was getting the technician to the house on time. I needed the main water pressure regulator replaced. The part, a good replacement part, costs somewhere between $150-200. Their quote for parts and labor was $600!!! I asked them to break down the labor and part costs, they said they don't do that, that's your first indication of shadiness. Second, I asked the amount of labor time charged, 1 (one) hour was the answer. So that means at best, it was $400 an hour labor charge. Ridiculous. FMV on this job is around $300. I have a feeling it had something to do with the "nice" neighborhood we live in. It's not uncommon but this company has no shame or integrity on their pricing. I am sure they will provide a standard, condescending reply to save face. Bottom line- don't use for your plumbing needs.

We called this company on a Saturday morning about a clogged toilet and bathtub. We were happy to hear that they would be able to attend to the clog the same day and were told a plumber would arrive before 5p. I had asked about the cost but was told that the plumber needed to see the issue before providing an estimate but that the service call out would be at no charge. We received a call at 2:34p that a plumber was finishing up another job and that we were next and would receive a call when the plumber was on his way. We then got another call at 3:08p stating that the plumber was having an "unexpected issue" at the previous job and would be a little bit longer. I was told again that they would call when he is heading over. I waited almost 2 hours for another call (until 4:50p) and then called them back to ask when the plumber would be arriving. I was told that the plumber finished the job and needed to pick up the drain clearing equipment and would be heading over after. I then waited another 2.5 hours!!!! and called them back once again to ask where the plumber was, that's when they said they were having trouble contacting any of their plumbers and locating the equipment and that they would need to schedule me for tomorrow morning which was totally unacceptable!! I originally called at 10:43a to schedule this appointment that was supposed to be attended to by 5p and now it was 6:30p and they want to reschedule after they led me on all day?! I explained (as I had done before) that this property had only 1 bathroom and we had depended on them to keep their word, as any proper business should, to make the appointment. They could have been proactive to let us know that they likely wouldn't be able to make it but instead waited until 6:30p, coming up with excuse after excuse until then. At 6:45p we received a call from the plumber saying he had located the drain cleaning equipment but it was "very far away" and he would need to drive an hour to get it. He then said that it would be $900+ to unclog the toilet!!!! And went on to talk about it being the weekend, this and that. When I asked in the morning how much it would be I was told the plumber would need to be onsite to determine it but now I had a plumber on the phone just throwing out a $900 estimate. If I was told $900 in the morning I would have said no thank you and moved on to calling other companies. Basically what they did was leave me waiting all day just to put me in a position where I had to say no so he wouldn't have to drive to get the equipment or do the job. We ended up calling Roto-Rooter instead who came out within the hour and unclogged everything for $300 less than what we were quoted with Mr. Plumber. Would not recommend this company for emergency services.

Some of the good things about Mr. Plumber: they have a receptionist who will answer phone calls during business hours, and they offer professional and fast service visits. When I called on Friday morning, they said they could send a plumber out the very same day. I scheduled the appointment for Tuesday morning, and they sent a reminder call about an hour before, just as promised. At the appointment, the plumber arrived on time and was knowledgeable. Instead of a leaky pipe, he said I have a leaky faucet that needs to be replaced. That was OK with me, but unfortunately, the plumber quoted $575 to replace the faucet. I thought that was too much, since faucets costs between $100 and $180 at Lowe's. For a simple thing like switching out a kitchen faucet, I would expect not to pay more than $200 for the labor. So I opted to cut my losses and pay the $65 for the Mr. Plumber visit. That's their charge for going out there, when you "JUST SAY NO" to their services. Thankfully there was some good timing ... right after I got the bad news from Mr. Plumber, Mike's Plumbing Service called me back, and he said he would install the new faucet for $165. After that, I bought a faucet for $99 + tax ($108) from Lowe's. The other option I had was to buy the faucet from Lowe's on Callaghan Road, and they charge a $99 installation fee for faucet installation. I think they contract it out because you have to come in to the store and sign a contract for the plumbing installation. I went with Mike's Plumbing Service, even though it cost a bit more, because I'm out of town and unavailable to sign the Lowe's contract. And I wanted the leak fixed sooner rather than later. If I had been in town, I probably would have gone with Lowe's installation for $99 instead of Mike's price of $165. So now I'm at $65 for Mr. Plumber, $108 for the new faucet, and $165 for Mike's Plumbing Service. That's a total of $338 to replace that leaky faucet. Although that's a lot of money ... it's considerably cheaper than than the $575 quoted by Mr. Plumber. Whew! Faucet I'm getting (cheap plastic parts, but made in the USA?) $99 at Lowe's. http://www.lowes.com/pd_231738-866-CA87316C___?productId=3118583&Ns Faucets I'd like to upgrade to, later on ... $169 at Lowe's. http://www.lowes.com/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10151&catalogId=10051&productId=3962467&cId=detail $179 at Lowe's. http://www.lowes.com/pd_356598-866-87499SRS___?productId=3517956&Ns

Horrible service!! I had a clean water broken pipe underneath my house. My handyman stated it was flooding underneath the house. I immediately called several plumbers, (this is around 5:00 pm). Even though every plumber states 24 hour and emergency service, I could not find a plumber who would agree to come by and fix the problem. I had to wait until the next day, at 8:00 am the next day I called Mr. plumber and explained the situation about my renters not having any water since the day before. I requested any expeditious service would be greatly appreciated. My renter called me several times that day and was worried they had not arrived, I called Mr. Plumber several times and they assured me that I was on the schedule, but the technicians were at other work sites and would eventually show up to make repairs. At 3:00 pm, Mr. Plumber called me at stated they would not be able to drop by the house and I would have to wait until the next morning. (This would mean my renters would not have had any water for 36 hours). I requested that I speak to the president of the company, they said he was not available. I knew I was beat and I would now have to find a new plumber, thank goodness I called another plumber at 3:00 pm and was able to find someone who would drop by and fix the problem. I don't understand how a reputable company can make a promise and an not keep it especially when we are dealing with a family with children who had no access to water. Why couldn't they show up, even if it was at 7:00 pm if they had promised to fix the problem. I would love the president of the company call me and explain how this could happen.

I contacted Mr. Plumber to repair a water leak in our slab. Brian came out and worked all day and returned the following morning to complete the job. I paid $3,250. All seemed good until a week later when I had a contractor come in to patch all the holes Brian had to make to get to plumbing in my master closet, master bath, hallway and guest bath. When the contractor was repairing the sheetrock in the master closet, we noticed the carpet began to get round wet looking spots in it. Later that evening, I investigated further to see that the carpet and pad were soaking wet and it was beginning to seep through. I contacted Mr. Plumber and they sent Brian back out and he said one of his "crimps" failed, causing a constant leak that caused this flooding. They sent out a water damage company to put in fans for 24 hrs to dry it out. It dried out, but smelled horribly. When we had a carpet repair person come in to tack back the carpet he said we would never get that musty smell out of the closet - we needed to replace the carpet and pad. It is a very large closet and he gave e a quote. I have contacted Mr. Plumber three times to get a refund for the $70 repair cost to re-sheetrock the wall and to speak with them about replacing the carpet. I am promised return calls and then nothing. I have shampooed the carpet, purchased charcoal bags, etc and nothing works. And here we are, over two months after the leak with no call from anyone at Mr. Plumber to resolve this issue.

Hired Mr. Plumber to install shower valves for 3 bathrooms and set 2 tubs. Total was $5885.22. Tiled the showers and hired a different plumber to install trim since Mr. Plumber was pricey only to find out that 2 of the 3 shower valves they installed were installed upside down even though the valve clearly says "UP". Seems like that should be day 1 of plumbing school. So then we have to tear off tile on 1, cut out the sheetrock to enter from the back side on the other. Then Mr. Plumber tech claims they are shower only valves. Accused us of ordering the wrong ones and wanted us to buy new ones even though they installed the others. Why would you install and hook up water lines and how did you hook up lines from tub spout and shower if they are incorrect? Showed proof that we ordered and were sent tub/shower combo valves. Finally after multiple no-shows with Mr. Plumber to come and redo the valves, they showed up. NEVER EVER again would I use this company. I wish I could give no stars. Now I have tile to repair, a 3 foot hole in the wall to drywall, tape, texture and float and paint. I have to get multiple trades out for all the repairs due to their mistake. Delayed the project and left the client without a shower for about a month.

They were courteous and Prompt and repaired the leak in my outside hard water faucets very well. I will say that we have been lucky that we have not had any plumbing emergencies that I haven't been able to handle, and this repair was something that I clearly didn't want to tackle, and I will say further that not having used plumbers the last few years, I have no idea what reasonable or exorbitant fees are these days, but the technician quoted me what I thought was a pretty high price, based on fixing what was wrong, no matter what the problem, in other words, a worse-case scenario price. The problem turned out to be very minor compared to what it could have been, but the price remained the same. All things considered the price seemed unreasonable for the work actually performed. But, as I said, I approved the price before he started the job, so I guess I'm not complaining, I'm just giving future customers a heads up, to reconcile yourself that you may not feel you got a fair price, but it may be a good idea to clearly describe the problem carefully to the dispatcher and ask for a price before they send out a technician. And realize that you are going to pay $500 plus for 5 minutes work or an all day job.

The tech that came to my house was very polite and professional, but their prices (like most licensed plumbers) are ridiculously stupid. I paid over $600 for what I could have bought and done myself for less than $100. I had him throw in a couple other plumbing jobs around the house that I needed done, so I still feel ripped off, just not as ripped off as I could have been. I'm glad what needed to be fixed was fixed, but at the end of the day I have to give 2 stars only because of price gouging. I asked him if I bought a water heater myself if they could install it for me to save some money. He recommended not doing that because if a part needed to be replaced on the store bought heater they wouldn't have the parts. There's some flawed logic in that argument, because I could go buy 4 new water heaters THAT INCLUDE THOSE BRAND NEW PARTS and install them myself for the same price they would charge me to install ONE. I will take advantage of the 1 year warranty that came with it if needed, but I don't plan on using them again unless some extreme discounting happens.

Do not use! I called them to come out to a property and check on the hot water heater that wasn't producing hot water. The plumber came, said there was no power and left. I was not at the house and had to call to get this finding. They charged $130 for a service fee due to weekend call. My contractor came on Monday and showed there was power to the outlet and that the coil was out (actual problem). After a month of back and forth (all from me, no responses we given until I followed up several times) they refused to give a refund. If the power had been out I would be happy to pay the fee. I showed them a video that power was indeed going to the outlet. Didn't matter. They said it was for him to come out. In my mind, I didn't pay for anyone to just drive over and lie to me. I paid for a professional assessment of a problem. They did not provide that. Very disappointed that they would not at least provide a refund for wasting my time and giving a false problem to just get out the door quickly. Do not use!

I highly recommend Mr.Plumber Plumbing Co.!! I can't rave enough about how attentive, responsive, polite, professional and knowledgeable Mr. Samuel Jaimes and Mr.Steele were when they came to my home to install 2 water heaters, 1 water softener and added a gas line to my generator and pool heater. This was a job that ONLY A PROFESSIONAL CAN DO! They went above and beyond their job duties by informing me on the progress each step of the way. These two gentlemen were very attentive and meticulous on their job ethic. These pictures I've provided do it no justice as they worked so hard to get these items installed properly and still look great. Again, can't stress this enough, these two gentlemen looked so proud of their hard work that I will definitely recommend this company - because of these two great - amazing workers. I will definitely call Mr. Plumber Plumbing Co., again AND will highly refer them to any and all of my friends and neighbors. Once again, thank you for a job well done.

I hired this company from out of state, visited the site to ensure the job was scoped out correctly. The company sent a low quality wannabe plumber and promised me the world. Now they are gonna walk off the job cause they didn't mind their P's and Q's And under bid the project... even though I asked for a "worst case scenario" to provide my client with. Now, I'm left with a sewer out of service and renters coming in tomorrow... I will never use them again, as what they didn't know is I am myself a master plumber and when I called them out in their mistakes, they simply walked off the job. I had to use the the locator for them, cause the newbie marked it wrong. Their sewer camera didn't even work cause it had a kink in the strength member of the fiber optic cable attaching the camera head to the reel... Sad. Very sad.
