What an absolute wonderful experience. I was sent a man named Jacob, and it couldn't have gone better! Skills mixed with kindness is what a homeowner appreciates. Jacob certainly had that and more. The automated system was suspicious, however, walking through the process and allowing them to come to your home is effortless. Once they arrive, the job is accessed and a cost is given. You have the option of accepting the bid or declining. Very happy I agreed, mine was an unusual custom job that was finished flawlessly by Jacob. I will certainly have their team back again!

Chance was probably the best technician I've ever had. He was prompt, polite, efficient, well spoken, and made us feel very comfortable with the entire process. There was literally no friction and I am extremely happy with the results. He replaced our 16-year-old gas water heater by inspecting, Recommending the replacement, and having the new heater here at my house and install installed within four or five hours. To make room for him, I took our mountain bikes off of the wall, and without asking, he put them back for me. That says a lot, and lets me know that his attention to detail and his Quality and Work ethic is top-notch. Highly recommended.

The team members Hoffman Brothers sends out to my home have all been highly professional, curteous and good explainers. They treated myself, home and property with respect. They answered all my questions thoroughly, provided detailed pictures of the work completed and explained it in detail. They cleaned up after themselves. From the initial quote to the end result, the whole process was smooth. I liked how they gave me different options to choose from... just repair the worst items, mid level and full restoration. They never pushed a higher option on me. They simply laid the plans out and let me choose my comfort level. I have used other companies for HVAC needs and none of them provided the level of customer service Hoffman Brothers did. I fully intend to use them for all my future needs.

They leaned my HVAC ducts on the main level of my house for 2.5 hours then charged me $1280!

This company is beyond disappointing. My husband and I have been trying to call and get an issue resolved with a manager and no one will call back. They sadly do not care about their customers.

Awful service!!!! We spent over $5000 on the purchase and installation of a tankless water heater a little over a year ago. We've had nothing but issues with consistent hot water. We cannot get hot water in our master bathroom without running water down the drain for ten minutes!!! Hoffman came back out a few times and told us that we would need to pay another $1500 for them to connect the recirculating pump that is already within the hot water heater we purchased from them!!!! Why didn't they explain this when they quoted the price for the water heater to begin with?! Or explain that there would be an additional cost to connect the recirculating pump if we wanted to have hot water in a timely fashion. Hoffman supposedly ran tests to see why the hot water was not staying hot consistently in our kitchen also. They claim it is the city's issue and has to do with the pipes bringing water to the house. We called Navien (the manufacturer) directly and they pulled up our unit and information and said there were multiple tests that Hoffman could have run but didn't. They can tell on their end because it logs all tests performed in their tracking system for our unit. Fast forward six months or so, our AC unit went out. We called Hoffman and thought we would start with them to get a quote. The gentleman, Billy, that came out seemed nice. He also looked at our water heater when we explained we were NOT happy with it. He gave us his word, which apparently is worth nothing, that they would make this right! That spending 5k+ on a water heater...you should be happy and should have hot water! He said that the air vent that was installed inside our basement was not allowing enough air circulation and probably should be vented to the exterior of the home. He said he would do that first and that it was not ok that they had not connected the recirculating line when they had initially installed the unit. He said that he would talk to their plumbing team and make sure to make this happen. He then proceeded to give us an astronomical rate for the replacement of our main AC/furnace unit. We chose not to go with them for that because we were able to get a quote for less than half the price for a brand new Rudd AC 16 sear unit with a longer installation warranty from a local company. We followed back up with Billy and our previous contact Mike a few times only to receive zero response to the promise that Billy had made to make our Navien purchase and installation right. When I originally hired Hoffman for the hot water heaters replacement I chose them because we had just moved here from out of state. I didn't know any local family owned companies yet and was afraid of getting taken. I've learned that the big dogs on the playground are truly the ones to look out for! Terrible introduction to Tennessee and will never recommend Hoffman or Navien for that matter!!! Absolutely wish we had stayed with the 10 year old tiny tank water heater that was here originally instead of trying to upgrade to a tankless!!! I miss having hot water to wash my hands and my face! It's pointless to even hope to have hot water if you quickly use the restroom and go to wash your hands because it won't happen anytime soon!! Sad that a company this large can't do the right thing after spending such a significant amount on what should have been an investment.

I wish I could choose no stars. This entire business is about getting as many customers lined up as possible and then dragging out the job for as long as possible. I called on a Saturday because sewage was coming out of the cleanout in the front yard. They couldn't come until Wednesday. Stupid me, I didn't call another company because Hoffman is who we have had a membership with for several years. I somehow thought they would prioritize us. They didn't. I am a teacher and was in a secure testing environment from 9 to 4 every day this week. I communicated that to Hoffman Brothers and said that I needed the plumber to text me. So Wednesday they came out. I got a text from the plumber at 2:41 pm asking me if I wanted him to go ahead and camera the line. I replied "Yes, please!" After that, I got no communication, so I thought I would come home to a fixed plumbing situation. Unfortunately, the sewage was still in the yard. The next morning, I called on the way to work to find out what was going on. The human I finally was able to talk to told me that I needed to sign the proposal for the work. I told him my situation and that I was in the car and asked him if he could text me the information and let me give approval. He said that he could. He sent me the estimate, and I replied "Yes, I agree to this work! Thank you!" and he replied, "Thank you for the update. I'll get that over to them now." This was Thursday. I heard nothing from them that day. Then again nothing on Friday. I went home Friday and tried to wash a load of clothes, and the sewage started coming up in the toilet and kitchen sink. I called Hoffman hoping for emergency services. I got AI--a very condescending, time consuming AI that told me they didn't have anyone on the team who could help me until the morning. This morning I called again and again. Finally, I got ahold of Kristen at 8: 17 who told me all of the ways in which I had asked Hoffman Brothers to work outside of their policy and how they had gone out of their way to work with me and that our values were not aligned. I agree. Our values are not aligned. I expected them to help me. They just wanted to line up desperate customers. I called Benjamin Franklin plumbing and got a human being on the phone right away. He was nice. He didn't treat me like I was being unreasonable asking for work on the weekend. They will be out at 2 pm today. I am grateful that there are alternatives to Hoffman Brothers. I have cancelled my membership with Hoffman. So happy that I finally saw what they were.

This review is not related to services provided, but is intended as a professional driving safety concern involving a Hoffman Brothers company vehicle observed this morning on Interstate 40 while traveling from Baxter, TN toward Nashville. I was driving a Hyundai Palisade equipped with factory-installed headlights. These headlights are bright at baseline by manufacturer design and are not aftermarket or user-modified, nor were my high beams engaged. I note this only to clarify that the headlight brightness was not a deliberate action and is outside of my control. I was traveling in the passing lane behind a Hoffman Brothers truck at a safe and reasonable distance. A black Dodge Charger with emergency tags was also present and may help identify the incident. The Hoffman Brothers truck merged into the right lane, I passed normally, and shortly thereafter the truck abruptly merged back into the passing lane behind me, cutting off the Charger and causing it to brake suddenly to avoid a collision. Following this maneuver, the Hoffman Brothers vehicle activated high beams and proceeded to follow extremely closely for several miles. During this time, I increased speed in an effort to create distance, as the situation felt unsafe. After several miles, the truck merged back into the right lane and immediately turned off the high beams. Company vehicles represent an organization in public spaces, and aggressive or retaliatory driving behaviors create unnecessary risk for other motorists. This incident raised concerns about professionalism and roadway safety, and I hope it can be addressed internally to prevent similar situations in the future.

After five days without electricity and temperatures hovering around 15 degrees, we finally got our power restored — and it’s entirely thanks to Hoffmann Brothers, especially their electrician, Justin. Our electric mast had literally been pulled away from the house after tree limbs dragged down the service line. Two other well-known Nashville electrical companies came out, but wouldn’t touch anything until NES disconnected the hot line — which meant more waiting… in freezing weather. Justin, however, didn’t stop without finding a solution. He secured emergency authorization, safely disconnected the line, rebuilt the mast and meter connection, and coordinated everything so NES could immediately reconnect our service. Within 24 hours, we finally had power back. And the workmanship? Outstanding. He didn’t just patch things up — he rebuilt it correctly: • replaced the entire mast system • fixed the previous builder’s makeshift nail mounting with bolting screws • secured and supported the conduit properly • caulked the board holding the conduit • cleaned the entire area • hauled away debris and old materials Even more impressive, during a historic weather outage — when many companies add “emergency” surcharges — their pricing was fair and honest, coming in almost a third lower than another major bid. Skill, integrity, and professionalism when we needed it most. If you ever need electrical work done right, I can’t recommend Hoffmann Brothers and Justin highly enough. They truly showed up for us. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. 🙏⚡️

First thing I wanna say is that the fix now pay overtime later is not a thing it’s only if it’s over $1000 of repairs, and honestly since I’m not a expert in the industry and I rely on the experts I’m not sure what was being told for the truth and what was a lie, and I didn’t have the time to screw around with morons. That was horrible. Whoever Patrick was training. I feel sorry for. They did a horrible job with trying to get me fixed up. They couldn’t get me fixed up. They didn’t explain anything very well. Basically try to pressure me into getting a new unit. I didn’t want that and I’m not gonna get that and I’m never ever gonna go with Hoffman Brothers again their commercial is deceptive compared to what it really is. Seems like a bunch of hustlers, but they don’t know they hustled the wrong hustler been hustling all my life that stated they’re not getting one dime from me and I’ve already got my refund back from the service fee as well. Just completely unprofessional, started talking about seriousness of the AC issues right in front of my child as they got home from school and she’s 10 years old. I don’t need anybody panicking of anything when there wasn’t anything to panic about. It wouldn’t even like 70° that day.So Patrick, you got nothing out of me, man, but a waste of yours and my time time coming out to my house for nothing. Also, the service fee is $98 For them just to come out to do absolutely nothing so y’all got that refunded back.

SHADY business. Charged $95 for NO services rendered. Refuses to give full, Transparent breakdown of costs regarding new toilets with installation. Said they can't tell you the specifics of pricing for the different brands of toilets, even though the jump between brands is HUNDREDS of dollars. They know how much each toilet costs - that's how you run a business and keep up with inventory, etc. Completely UNETHICAL and ILLEGAL not to provide clients with a Proper, ITEMIZED quote and/ or receipt. Oh, and don't be mislead by claims that they "give discounts" in exchange for a "monthly subscription". That's not a discount, that's shifting where the price goes and how long you will continue paying out to them. Also said, "if you're a member for the monthly subscription and you have an appointment, that appointment will never get pushed back or rescheduled. But if you're not, well, members get priority so your *scheduled* appt as a 'non-member' could be changed at anytime".... you have got to be kidding Wouldn't be surprised if they pay to have this post deleted either. They certainly pay off Google to remove Honest reviews that are less than 5 stars. Disgusting business

Do Not Use Hoffman Brothers! We contracted Hoffman Brothers to install a tankless water heater in our home back in December. Unfortunately due to a broken foot, I was unable to personally inspect the work afterwards, which was instead looked over by my husband. Fast forward 3 months when I’m finally mobile again, I discover that my deep freezer has been damaged. There is now a huge dent in the top of the freezer, it has been scraped, and it no longer holds a seal. So not only is the deep freezer damaged to the point that it is unusable, but all of the food inside now must be thrown away. When my husband reported it, there was no call back. When I called, they did not even have my husbands name correct, are claiming we damaged the deep freezer due to a microwave sitting on top of the freezer, and also claim since we took so long to report it there is nothing for them to do. They also claim their employees are always honest and self report anytime they cause damage to a home. They insist they have no fault. Do not use them if you do not want your home damaged during services. I absolutely will tell anyone looking for any of these services to look elsewhere.

To their credit they were punctual and communicated when they would come out, which happened to be the same day. They had a 95 dollar service fee which a lot of places have but most other places roll that into the repair if they do the work, with Hoffman that is not the case. My review is based solely on pricing as Hoffman was more than double what other plumbers quoted me. I was given a thorough estimate that explained each option to repair my water heater. The cheapest option was to replace a valve and would have cost 400 dollars plus the 95 dollar service call. I called around because the quote to replace the water heater was 2100 which to me seemed a little high because a water heater is 500-700 dollars and I can't imagine it would be 1400 dollars in labor. The second and third quotes were both under a thousand to replace the water heater. I am not sure if Hoffman does good work or not but based on the very high pricing I would not use them. They were very communicative and came out the same day which was good, but again just way too expensive.

Horrible experience with incompetent techs and customer support. Charged me $150 for a service call and then said it would be an additional $650 for the repair on the washing machine - with no waiving of the service call price if we move forward with repair, which is an industry standard.. I asked if parts were under warranty and they told me I would have to ask the manufacturer myself. Yet they wouldnt tell me what parts to ask about.. They are intentionally witholding information hopes you dont ask questions and sign the invoice. The invoice itself was a joke: "the problem appears to be with the drive motor and run capacitor." The tech did not actually test capacitor microfarads or motor amp draw. I can do more with ChatGPT than this tech did to actually find the issue. Invoices are vague and include no detail of what needs to be replaced, part numbers and cost, or total hours needed for labor. Ladies at customer support were totally rude and had zero knowledge about anything. Very combative. Dont get scammed by these losers.

Let me start by saying because of Brent’s ability to take the time to explain each issue, back it up with pictures and proof of exactly what was going on, lay out a clear game plan for how we’d fix it, and prioritize everything so we could work the critical repairs into my budget. I’ll be using this company for all things HVAC for the rest of my life Beyond the technical side, Brent walked me through preventative maintenance steps I can take to avoid similar issues down the road. He genuinely seemed like he cared about me and my family. it felt less like a service call and more like having a best friend come over to help you fix something at your house. When I asked to make sure I wouldn’t be keeping him out too late with all the repairs I needed, he said something along the lines of ‘I’m here to make sure you’re in good shape.’ I’ve never seen anything like it. Just know, if I ever call and find out Brent has left the company, your next call will be from me asking where he went. I say that jokingly, but I also absolutely mean it.
