What reviewers report — the concerns

Other directories bury these. We think you should read them before you call. Every concern below comes from the reviews it cites.

Red flag

Major pricing dispute with 3x markup: Customer received quote of $2,114 (with $373 membership savings) for a $300 circuit board repair, with labor quoted at $1,800—competitor completed same job for $630, suggesting either commission-driven pricing or inflated labor rates

Cited in 1 of the 89 reviews we analyzed.

Red flag

One review indicates diagnostic oversight: Technician Sam recommended full septic tank pump-out without locating the cleanout, which was found 3 feet from house; customer later discovered only tree root blockage at cleanout, suggesting incomplete troubleshooting

Cited in 1 of the 89 reviews we analyzed.

Pricing significantly above market rate: One customer was quoted $2,114 for a $300 part plus $1,800 labor (totaling $2,187 with membership discount), but competitor Chino Valley Heating and Cooling completed the same repair for $630; another customer paid $1,400 for recommended services but felt uncertain about the work performed

Cited in 2 of the 89 reviews we analyzed.

Inconsistent follow-up on service recovery: Customer reporting the $2,114 overcharge stated they were promised a supervisor callback that never materialized

Cited in 1 of the 89 reviews we analyzed.

Potential upselling pressure: One customer reported technician photographed entire HVAC system 'trying to upsell us on new AC parts and fixes' during repair visit

Cited in 1 of the 89 reviews we analyzed.

Limited transparency on parts during service: One customer paid $1,400 but had to specifically ask to see old vs. new parts, which technician said were in truck but customer declined to view

Cited in 1 of the 89 reviews we analyzed.

Keep it in proportion: these concerns are cited in 3 of the 89 reviews we analyzed. Most reviewers report positive experiences — see the full rating picture below.

The evidence — in reviewers' own words

Critical

Had Goettl's come out to address our heater being broken. It ended up being a circuit board problem... We were quoted 2114 dollars to fix it. It is a 300 dollar part so I guess labor was 1800 bucks!? That's with our amazing 373 dollar member savings. He also proceeded to go around the house and photo the whole system trying to upsell us on new AC parts and fixes. Our membership was cancelled and we ended up calling …

The prices are very high, but the quality of the work doesn’t match the cost. After doing some research, I found that most of the lead installation technicians are not EPA certified. Something I consider a major red flag. Without this certification, most of the lead tech installer are not qualified to work on HVAC systems or handle refrigerants. I’d recommend verifying credentials before committing.

Positive

Thomas Pride did an excellent job of inspecting our HVAC system. Upon inspection a bid for replacement of a plenum duct above the HVAC unit was submitted which I may have done in future. At this time the system works perfectly so no repair was scheduled. Thomas was very thorough in explaining that the HVAC system was clean and working proper internally. Part of the inspection was to replace three return air …

Jaxon was super helpful. Did a full inspection of our system and gave honest recommendations on what is needed and why. Showed me photos and measurements. Very thorough. The office is also very pleasant to work with. They’re the first I call for any HVAC needs in cottonwood.

How this page is made. We read and synthesize published customer reviews from Google, Yelp and the BBB, then publish our honest opinion — including the negative reviews other directories bury. We do notcall, test, or inspect plumbers, and we don't check licenses unless a source is stated. Business facts come from the plumber's Google listing. Sponsored placement exists only on city list pages, is always labeled, and never changes an assessment or ranking — this profile is never pay-influenced.
