They came out promptly , and they were fantastic. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They changed the filters for our house R o system and as they were doing that , they fixed every other problem that arised. They were able to give me a lot of information about my system and answered any questions or concerns I had. Will Be using them again in the future.
Dewey's Plumbing saved me! Jason came out on an emergency overflow and worked diligently to get it unclogged. Gary and an apprentice followed up a week later, with suggestions on troubleshooting options for prevention so this nightmare doesn't keep happening. Great company, very knowledgeable and sincerely caring employees. Highly recommend!
I have an older home in Sedona that so many different repairs have been done to that it was a confusing mess - both gas & water piping. Gary trouble shot both systems until he understood what was causing mixing of hot & cold water and tracked a outdoor gas leak. I now have hot & cool water where they should be and gas lines working. Dewey’s listened to Gary’s recommendation to reduce costs as it was time consuming to track down the issues & best solutions - expensive but finally all resolved. Just in time for my putting on a family reunion here. I appreciate Gary & Dewey’s. Will not let anyone else fix my plumbing.
Two guys came out to do a routine flush of the instant hot water heater. They were here for 45 minutes and charged me $205. I called a few days later to report the water pressure was low and the hot water was not as hot. I got no response whatsoever. I called several more times and left messages including with the after hours live answering person. I left several emails and again no response whatsoever. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They take your money and don't care what happens after that. I finally called another company a couple weeks later who came out to fix the very minor problem they left. Dewey Plumbing used to be a good company under the old owner, but not any more.
I purchased a new water heater from Dewey's in October, 2017. Something wasn't right, but I didn't call them back until end of November. I was told they were very busy but the person who answered the phone said she would see if someone could come out and look at the problem, then call me the next morning with an update. I didn't receive the promised call. I will try another plumber.
Our water heater went out while we were out of town. I called on a Monday to make an appointment, someone was set to come Thursday between 9am and 11am. Thursday 1120am, no one has come and there has been no communication as to why. I call the unhelpful receptionist and she says she will get a message to the plumber coming. He shows up, diagnoses a leak that we already told him about, and he tells me to choose a traditional or tankless water heater replacement and call back ASAP with our decision so we can get on the schedule. I ask if we need to do anything about the leak in the meantime and he says no. I call the receptionist within 20 minutes of him leaving to let her know we want to go with tankless and please get us on the schedule. She tells me they have to put together a bid before they can schedule us. No bid Thursday, I call Friday, no bid still and I am told it will not be ready until Monday. Saturday, the leak is now so bad, it has flooded into our closest floor and likely the walls as well. We have to call their emergency service to have someone come out and fork out over $200 for something that should have been addressed Thursday. I call Monday morning, no bid still and actually, now we have to send someone else out to look at it again to get all the info for a bid. The water heater has been leaking for about ten days at this point and we have water damage in the home and no resolution in sight. The two plumbers who came out, Gary initially and Seth for the emergency call, were knowledgeable and kind, but I would not recommend this company at all.
Had plumber and helper out to reinstall fixtures from old kitchen sink to newly installed sink. Plumber was unable to figure out how to get the old fixture out of the uninstalled sink. Finally , I called and FaceTimed with my brother in California who is a plumber to help this person visually and verbally walk through how to get the faucet free. He then had difficulty pulling the tubes through the hole in the sink. I squeezed them together and out it came. This was at least a 20 minute process for joint problem solving that I and my plumber brother were a part of. I was charged the full time for service - no adjustment for me and another offsite plumber ( my brother) to get this taken care off. I’m not accustomed to being part of my own service call. I did not pay the bill that day, rather Talked to the front office and expressed my displeasure at the sum of the bill in light of the service delivered and was looking for an adjustment. However, approximately one week later, I got another phone call that the bill is due. I see that there’s been no adjustment. The front desk person seemed unaware when I explained the situation to her. I paid the bill, the full amount , and let her know that I would not be using Dewey’s services anymore.
I had Dewey's hook up city water to my house attaching their new line to an old shut-off valve. I don't know if they checked to make sure the valve was worked properly before hooking into it. They were on time. Did the hook-up and were an hour under estimated hours to do. I still paid the the quoted mount. No discount. Fine. Two weeks later I went to do some work work and went to turn off the valve. It started leaking. It must have been bad but Dewey never checked it before hooking up! It's OK, we all make mistakes. I called Dewey to fix the leak figuring it was covered under their warranty . They told me the valve was bad. I authorized them to replace the valve and expected to paid extra for the bad valve. I didn't expect them to eat the cost of a new valve. I expected to pay for it. Fine. What I didn't expect was that they would charge me for a whole new repair. They did not do the repair under warranty. They charged me $226.83 to install one new valve! I tried to talk to them. Their pit bull, Megan, their gate keeper wouldn't let me talk Sean, her boss, to plead my case. I'm paying the $226,83 so they don't send me to collection and mess with my credit. I will never use or recommend them to anyone again.
Emilio and Cole provided excellent service in the repair of our broken water line to our new refrigerator. The delivery people from the store we purchased it from pulled out the line and water started spraying everywhere, even under the house. We called Dewey’s in a panic and they sent Emilio and Cole within 30 minutes! They were able to stop the spraying and capped off the broken line until they could come back today and thoroughly repair everything. They also installed a valve and shutoff switch so this can never happen again. We were so impressed with Emilio and Cole’s professionalism, expertise, kindness and care. Also, thanks to the person who answered our frantic call for help. She jumped on it right away and dispatched assistance immediately. Kudos and thank you Dewey’s Plumbing!
So the valve on my shower/tub came loose as I was changing out the facing hardware. Instant geyser flooding my house. The water main wouldn't budge, nor would the auxiliary one. The city water department number went straight to voicemail. I tried every plumber in town as the geyser continued, and all were busy even for a major emergency like mine. One even whined that I interrupted his lunch. Dewey's was there within 20 minutes. They not only installed a new auxiliary water main shut-off, but also helped me get the new facing hardware on a 35 year old tub (not a straightforward task!). These guys were on it, the receptionist kept me informed as I waited, and they made a really bad day a bit better. Professional and fast, thanks guys. Now I just need to dry out the house.
Fantastic service experience, I'm super impressed and one not easily impressed. My business lives and dies by the quality of contractors we use in our business, so now buying a home in a new state and being on the other end of the work, we're so excited to have Dewey's to do our own work. Austin was our service rep, and he's fantastic. He made a uncomfortable and tight job look easy, and did an exceptional job, all while making it sound like a it wasn't a big deal. The job he did replacing a water line pressure regulator was in an underground (reachable) place, not an easy job. I'm very happy with their cost, well worth it and in my opinion, reasonable. Prompt, professional, worked faster than expected, and super pleasant. I would give them 6 stars if I could.
I made an appointment with the receptionist over the phone and she told me someone will come out to my residence between 1:30pm to 3:00pm on Thursday 01/26/2023. I have a couple of issues that I needed a plumber to fix. The receptionest called me the day before and told me a plumber will be coming out the following day (01/26/2023) between 12:00 and 1:30pm. I told her I won't be home from work until 1:30pm and reminded her that we set the appointment between 1:30pm and 3:00pm. All she said was, I'll pass the message along and that was the end of that phone call. On the day of the appointment no one showed up at all and they never called to reschedule with me.
This is my 4 th time using Dewey plumbing. First time was an emergency on a Sunday. Fast response with reasonable charge. Water heater, sinks, toilets and now shower that needed water heater emptied, removed, repiped shower, and all under 3 hours. These guys are professional. I was scheduled Friday, needed to reschedule after finding pipes needed replacing and would take another hour. Would of been put on books for Wednesday but because we only have 1 bath in our mobile, Ed came out on Saturday so we only missed 1 day of shower .Thank you! Above and beyond if you ask me!
I had a longstanding problem with a leaky hose bib in my back yard. I had procrastinated until the water bill was prohibitive and dictated now was the time to get the repair done. I had used Dewey’s Plumbing before very satisfactorily, and I’m not sorry I called them again. Jerry and Cole arrived on time and made short work of the job which turned out to be more extensive than I had anticipated. That was not a problem for them. They got right to work and in no time, had the hose bib working as it should be. Thank you, Jerry and Cole. I will be using Dewey’s in the future.
These guys get the job done. Pretty typical plumbing outfit with service call prices at or slightly above their competition. The best thing about them is they show up when they're supposed to. They kind of misdiagnosed an issue I thought it was having with my hot water recirculating system but it turned out they, along with the home warranty plumber were both wrong so I wasted a decent chunk of change because of that. I haven't called them back and I'm not certain I will although they did a very professional job installing a water softener I purchased online.
