It was nice to have both Marvin and Randy show up at our house for the diagnostics estimate when our air conditioning was not working. It turned out to be a piece of wire which was broken which made the fan not work and caused mold to build up. Marvin installed an ultraviolet light to kill the mold and bacteria in the vents. We have cooler air now in the house. They helped us get a membership to help discount the fees. We are grateful for the diagnostic day. They remained a company of integrity. We are satisfied with cooler temperature in the house and that the problem got fixed right away.

very impressed with the entire process of having my new hvac system installed. When i first inquired, the company quickly set me up with a consult, they came out explained everything and provided me with a quote. Not pushy at all. After shopping around, I chose them. Today Ryan and Elvin came out on time. Did the install answered all my questions, cleaned up, helped me understand the system and couldnt be any happier. They were very professional. The entire team was a joy to work with from the appt setter to salesguy to installers. Will use them for other services.

I really appreciated the information shared on my airduct cleaning process. The technician was very nice and professionally knowledgeable about the equipment for service. Much appreciated for your understanding and patience. It was a very professional job that I received from Daniel's Technicians, Mr. Glass, MR. Josh two technicians that serviced my home. They were respectful an professional technicians. Very knowledgeable of the equipment. Great job thank you for your time and patience and help.

I had a bad experience with Daniel's Plumbing. They were a no show for an appointment. They have a very and ridiculously long period of five hours during which they may show up for an appointment. Most firms use a period of two hours. Don't rely upon them to show up.

Don't even bother dealing with this company. I woke up on Christmas morning to find my outdoor pipe burst and was spraying water everywhere. I called a few plumbing companies that morning hoping to get a head start on getting scheduled. Daniel said that someone can come out the following day (on the 26th) in the afternoon and I got scheduled. I read the bad reviews, but thought this might be different situation. I woke up on the 26th morning receiving a text saying that due to high call volume the technician won't be able to make it out. When I reached back out saying that I already had an appointment, I didn't get a response back. Don't get involved with a company that cancels your scheduled appointment when their really busy, that's really unprofessional. I contacted my regular plumbing company that same day and someone came out the same day.

In mid-March I came home to a water leak near the water meter for my home. My neighbor happened to be outside and he advised he had the exact same leak a few years ago, and he advised he paid a plumber about $400 to repair it. Apparently we both had the same sprinkler company who used the same terrible fittings to tap off of the main line to the house. The leak appeared to be in the exact location of the access point for the sprinkler system. I tried calling his plumber, but they couldn't fit me in for another week, so I started searching for a highly rated plumber in the area. I finally connected with Daniel's Plumbing who had good ratings and could come out to the house the next day. The representative for Daniels showed up promptly the next day and I told him what the issue likely was, and the exact spot the leak. Daniel's tech advised my initial charge would be $296 to dig the whole and diagnose the issue. I asked why so much since I knew what the issue likely was, and was advised this was a standard fee and any repairs would have an estimate before moving forward. I decided I needed the issue fixed and agreed to the steep initial estimate. After digging, I was advised the issue was in fact what I had thought, and the fix would be easy. A new T-fitting, along with a 90 degree fitting and a short length of PEX was all that was needed to resolve my issue. At this point I was thinking "Oh.. an easy fix is great. Considering the amount of work and materials to fix the issue, the final cost should not increase much more" Daniel's tech came back to me with the final cost, it was another $315 ($611 total) for the repair. I advised this cost was outrageous, the parts alone much cost maybe $20. I told him I wasn't trying to minimize his skills, but this cost could not be correct. I was advised he had already discounted the repair and this was the price I had to pay for a repair. At this point, Daniels Plumbing had me over a barrel, so to speak. I had already spent $296 to dig a 2' by 2' by 3 foot deep hole, I was stuck. I reluctantly agreed to pay. After the work was done and my water on again, Daniels Plumbing reached out via email asking for me to give an online review, or to reach out to them if I wasn't happy. I promptly replied I was not happy. At this point, I was contacted by Ashley who listened to my concerns. I advised I was happy with the repair, but the costs seemed very high for an "easy repair" and just a few parts. Especially since I had already diagnosed the issue. Ashley was very friendly and understanding. She advised she would get with the owner (Daniel?) and get back to me. A few days later I was contacted again by Ashley who stated she could get me a 10% refund. Not what I expected, but I figured at least they tried to work with me. She stated she would send me a form to sign and the refund would be processed. Flash forward a month or two as I forgot to follow up, and reached out to Ashley again. She stated she was waiting for my acceptance of a form and the refund would be processed. I again agreed and Ashley sent the form over. This is where my troubles with Daniels' gets interesting. The form states that in exchange for my $61.10 refund I agreed the issue was fully resolved to my satisfaction, and I would not initiate further action on the matter. Further, I would agree that I would not, nor could anyone on my behalf post any negative comments about Daniels Plumbing on any social media outlet. If I had previously posted negative feedback, I agree to delete those posts. If you are reading this review, you can take the above as you will. I view it as Daniel's Plumbing was attempting to buy my silence. I advised Ashley that coercing either positive feedback, or silence by way of a 10% refund amounted to bribery. If they wanted my silence, they could buy it for a full 100% refund. I fully expected I would never receive a 100% refund, I made the statement to try to make a point. Daniels Plumbing of course declined. Ashley did state Daniel's Plumbing had 4 core values, one of them being integrity. She further stated "This is a standard form we have been requesting any customer we provide a refund to. The form is used as an agreeance that we have resolved the issue." This is interesting if they occasionally have to bribe unhappy clients with partial discounts, it makes me wonder how many of their positive reviews were bought. Their service is excellent. The repair was great. In my opinion their rates for repair are akin to highway robbery, taking advantage after you agree to their dig fee.

TLDR: bad customer service once they get your money, a stick of firewood is keeping my house from flooding from my NEW AC unit after paying 12k, try to get you with surprise in the moment uncharges then the tech offers to do side work at a lower cost & didn't complete the job Called them because my AC condescension line flooded my hallway to the point that I had to get a water remediation company out to dry out my carpets. Daniel's came out quickly and band aided the drainage issue that was caused by the line coming out at an upward angle which prevented proper drainage, recharged the unit and scheduled me for a new unit instillation as well as putting in a French drain to fix the condensation line issue. Appointment was scheduled for a Thursday, that day rolls around I get the confrontation text saying they will be there today...1:30pm and no additional communication for my "all day job" so I call them to make sure they are still coming. Turns out they rescheduled my appointment for the next day without letting me know because they didn't have the equipment. They said they would call me by 4:30pm once they know if they will actually have the equipment for the install the next day. 4:50 rolls around and I call them trying to find out if they are showing up tomorrow or not, find out that yes they will be coming in the morning. Friday they start installing the unit and they tech who is there to do the "free" duct cleaning as part of the instillation package tells me my ducts are full of mold and they should stop the installation completely, my AC is fully disassemble at this point. He tells me the vents for my 3 bedroom house should be 20k but that he will only charge me 10k since I'm already paying a 12k bill today for the new unit. I tell him no I can't afford that, please clean the ducts and complete the install. I ask him for a copy of the estimate multiple times throughout the day but the email never comes through. As they are leaving at the end of the day the duct tech then gives me his cell number and says to call him and maybe we can work something out under the table. Saturday morning, I wake up to a puddle in my hallway again with an AC unit that's less than 24 hours old. When I check outside the French drain was never installed and the drainage line is yet again in the wrong position, the techs on Friday didn't even keep the band aide fix from the week before. I call Daniel's as a "Preferred Customer" since that was part of the package I purchased, and they send someone out in the late afternoon. Tech band aides drainage line again, this time using a piece of my firewood, and agrees that is the cause of the flooding. I ask if his supervisor can call me and if they can cover the cost of getting the water removed he says he will pass along the message. As soon as he leaves I immediately call and leave a message for someone on the management team to call me back explaining the incomplete job and damage because of it. I'm told everyone is off for the weekend but I will get a call back in Monday. I have to call the water remediation company back out which is $950 and this time they have to remove a baseboard as well as pull the carpet back up and we get another 2 days of living in a wind tunnel. Monday- called them twice, was reassured I would get a call back short Tuesday - called them in the morning and I was told my number was being left on the managers desk as well as the return call was in his schedule....never called me back.

In summary, they quoted us over $700 for work that would have taken less than an hour and parts less than $50 total. Sean came and said it would cost more than $300 to fix the toilet that keeps running. He did say that his company built the plumbing system in our 3 year old house as well as the other houses in our Pulte (Parmer Crossing) subdivision. My first thought was, how come there are problems already, especially right after the 2 years plumbing workability warranty expired. He then quoted us over $400 to replace a cartridge or something for our shower that does not produce enough hot water. My wife did not agree with fixing the toilet for that much as she believes that only the flapper needed to be replaced, which she did mention. We obviously have no idea what's wrong with the shower and agreed to have him fix it. Later on my wife bought a flapper for $11 and fixed the toilet herself. Then we told a friend about our experience and he told us that he had the same plumbing issues and replaced the cartridge himself for about $30. Look, I understand the company needs to make a profit, but trying to charge us over $700 for less than an hour of work with readily available and affordable parts is unethical and perhaps price gouging. It would have been much more reasonable if they charged per hour for labor plus cost for parts, even $100/hour would have been much more reasonable than the $400+ we paid for essentially half an hour of work. The second technician Raul might have been even worse, but at least we didn't lose money on him. When I submitted the requests and emailed back and forth to schedule the appointment, I mentioned that I wanted the free air audit to see if we should get a HVAC and Vent cleaning. I mentioned that we previously had another company inspect it and did not find any mold, but their system was not compatible with cleaning our HVAC. Raul came without the equipment needed to test the air and tried to sell my wife all sorts of things that our 3 year old house did not need. He was making a sales pitch about something that improves oxygen or something, which made no sense at all to my Respiratory Therapist wife, who knows all about Oxygen. Why is he making sales pitches when he doesn't even know the quality of the air? He then said he'll come back the next day at noon with the equipment to test the air. We waited at home all day the next day and noon came and went without a word from him. We had errands to run so we gave up on him and left the house at 4PM only to hear from the company at 4:30PM that he can head to our house now, which I said we're not home. When asked what time we would like to reschedule, I responded that we did not have a good experience with him and do not wish to reschedule for the above reasons. Of course I didn't get a response back. Honestly speaking, I'm very disappointed with everything above. I chose the company because the reviews were good and it happened to have the same name as me, but now I'm embarrassed for putting my wife through this debacle and we're both upset about being overcharged and essentially treated like idiots. I hope this was simply the case of rogue employees rather than the result of businesswide unethical practices.

I called Daniel's Plumbing as my tenant complained of no hot water all day, even after checking the breaker and the hot water timer which were both on. The hot water heater is 2 years old and is still under warranty. Daniel's Plumbing was able to send a service technician within 2 hours of my call. One might say great customer service but read further... Torrey the service technician did his diagnostic and "determined that there was something malfunctioning inside the water heater causing it not to get hot." He called me to inform me of his conclusions and provided two estimates to resolve the issue. Both estimates were to replace the hot water heater, one under the warranty and another with the Daniel's plumbing warranty. Both estimates included a $548.72 upgrade to install an expansion tank. (Not sure why that was needed. Also, not sure where that would have been placed since the area where the current hot water heater sits, is pretty tight already.) Estimate to replace under the warranty was $1725.98 (included labor for removal, installation, and testing). Estimate to replace with Daniel's Plumbing warranty was $2397.11 (included labor for removal, installation, testing plus a $239.63 safety drip pan.) Mind you there is already a safety drip pan under the existing 2 year old hot water heater in great condition. I paid the $49.00 trip and diagnostic fee and decided I would call the original installer. Meanwhile, I also called my boyfriend to relay the info Torrey had provided. He thought I needed a second opinion, thinking about what past experiences he and acquaintances have had in such instances. I even stood up for Torrey thinking this is his field and I should trust his determination. Well luckily my boyfriend (an electrical engineer) called the hot water heater manufacturer, who sent him documents on what and how to test the hot water heater parts (thermostat & element) to diagnose the issue. He has the equipment to run the test, did so and called back the manufacturer with the results and they determine the hot water heater element is okay but one of the thermostats is bad and both should be replaced. These two parts costs $43.30 and are covered under the warranty. He bought the parts and installed them himself. (I should also note my boyfriend did talk to the original installer, prior to calling the manufacturer. The original installer did not think a new water heater was needed but unfortunately, he was unavailable to assist for at least a week.) My talented boyfriend makes me a lucky lady. To think if I had no one to call but Daniel's Plumbing and trusted them, I would be out $1725.98 to $2397.11, when the job should have only costed labor to diagnose the issue and install the $43.30 parts. Very disappointing. I did relay this experience to their customer service advocate and asked for a refund for the $49.00 trip and diagnostic fee, since that was a joke. Waiting for the manager to call me back... I give Torrey a 5 star rating for being very convincing about what was needed and empathetic about the situation but, People don't be fooled! Share your story before moving forward with any high cost work and get a second opinion, it could save you thousands of dollars.

I would avoid this company at all costs for any HVAC matters. I went through a fiasco with them, so it's a long write-up: I saw a cheap special offer for $27 per system AC tune-up so I scheduled these guys to take a look at my dual system. When something is too good to be true, it usually is. Everything went downhill from there! Scheduling: inconsistent. They cancelled late on the day of my appointment saying the guys were busy at another job and so we rescheduled for later in the week. On the day of new appt, they kept changing the time, but eventually we were able to get on the same page. Knowledge: terrible. Two junior guys came out and did the tune-up. They said everything looked good except for the coil had some light rust and the heat pump's capacitors needed to be replaced ASAP. I asked them to measure the refrigerant levels noticing they didn't, and they told me they don't want to do that in case they'd cause a leak (HUGE RED FLAG). I can check everything else myself, I am literally paying you to check things I do not have equipment for and you're afraid you might cause a leak?! Honesty: zero. So I'm a pretty savvy DIYer and an engineer, but I often like to play dumb as a woman to see if contractors have integrity. When they pushed me to replace those capacitors ASAP, I asked for pricing. They quoted over $900 to which I was shocked and asked why so high, and one of the young techs JD blatantly lied that they have to charge for their labor and the capacitors each cost over $300. Yeah, I replaced the capacitors myself, paid $15 each. End of the appointment was an uncomfortably long sales pitch, as JD kept trying to convince me to replace my systems. I said I needed to think about it and talk with my fam, and he even asked me forward questions like whether I needed to discuss decision making with my family. Then he asked me to fill out a positive review so that he and the other junior tech could get a free lunch, and even demanded that I open up the link right in front of him and fill out the review before they left. The nightmare didn't stop there. The day after these guys tinkered with my systems, one of my HVAC units started having major issues and would stop blowing cold air and ice was building up at the heat pump. I called them and this time I got a senior technician, Phillip, to come out. He looked over everything and said complete opposite of everything his junior techs said. One system needed to be replaced right away as it was leaking oil, the refrigerant levels were low on both systems, pointed out major rust on the coil, and that the new malfunction had nothing to do with what his guys touched. I did like Phillip and appreciated his help, but no way was I ever gonna do business with this company again. I ended up shopping for replacement quotes from over 10 HVAC companies in Austin, and got it done by another company that was honest and reliable. FYI, the replacement quotes Daniel's had given me were THE most expensive among all estimates.

Like many others in Texas have done over the past two weeks, I frantically sought out a plumber to repair a burst pipe in the aftermath of the recent winter storm. I scheduled an appointment with Daniel's Austin based on generally positive reviews I found on the Internet. However, after 10 days of waiting for for my scheduled visit , I was stood-up by the company today. Below is brief timeline of my interactions with the company: 1) Fri. Feb. 19: - Scheduled appt. for Mar. 2 between 1:00 pm and 7:00pm 2) Mon. Mar. 1: - Called and confirmed my Mar. 2 appt. with company 3) Tues. Mar. 2 5:00 pm: - Called the company to check on the status of my confirmed appointment. - The customer rep confirmed the I was on the schedule but that no technician had been assigned for the visit. The rep did not have an explanation. I firmly but politely asked if it was possible to get a technician out to my home today. He indicated that he would check and call back. - I have received no call, email or text from the company in the nearly fours since my call. I understand that this is a chaotic time for plumbers in Texas however it seems reasonable to me (and good customer service as well) that a company has an obligation to a customer that has a scheduled (and confirmed) appointment to follow-up with some form communication if the appointment cannot be kept. Although I would be disappointed (and a bit more stressed out) if the company cancelled or rescheduled my appointment on the very day of the appointment, I would understand given the circumstances. What I cannot understand, or accept, is the lack of effort by the company to call, email or text to either cancel or reschedule the appointment. Very disappointing. **Update ** Thu. March 4: - I received a series of text messages and voicemail messages from the company on March 4 between 8:37 am and 9:26 am that my appointment was scheduled for March 4. - A technician arrived at my door a few minutes later at approx. 9:30 am. I explained the situation to the plumber (he was apparently unaware) and told the technician that, since I had not heard anything from the company in the 2 days since the no-show appointment, I scheduled an appointment with another plumbing company for the repairs. - From March 2 to March 3 I did not receive any communication from the company regarding the no-show on March 2. Moreover, none of the communication I received from the company on March 4 acknowledged the March 2 no-show.

Roughly 10 months ago my client was under contract to purchase a home in Southwest Austin. Upon inspection it was determined there was an issue with the HVAC system. Daniel's was called out to diagnose and determined it was a simple inexpensive fix, supposedly repaired it, and we moved forward. While we were completing our final walk-through, I went into the attic to confirm the repairs we made and noticed the pan full of water. The sellers then called Daniel's to come back out. They determined the coil needed to be replaced. Upon replacement, my clients and I closed on the transaction. Fast foward to June 2022, the upstairs HVAC system stops cooling and the ceiling is damaged from leaking water. I advise my client this system is still under warranty to she calls Daniel's to come back out. They state this is not a warranty claim as it's the fault of the owner for not changing her filters... I let her know this absolutely not the case and instructed her to call a 3rd party plumber to inspect. The 3rd party plumber comes out and determines due to improper installation and a failure to support/brace the coil, it had separated at the joints/welds thus causing the leaking, subsequent water damage to the drywall, and failure of the system to properly function. After providing the report to Daniel's they send a tech out who makes the appropriate repairs and the system starts cooling. They say they will work with management to coordinate and schedule a carpenter to come out and repair the damaged drywall. No one ever reaches out on behalf of Daniel's, and despite repeated calls from my client and I requesting they complete the repairs, they never return a single phone call. This has now been ongoing for nearly 2 months... My client and I call several times each week, and on each call we are assured someone will call and this will eventually me made right; no one does. I have spoken directly with the customer service manager Ariel (Monday 8/1). She said she would call me back. Guess what? She never did. I've been told I would hear from the HVAC Manager, Balde. Guess what? Never did. It's become evident at this point they have no intention of making it right. As such, my client and I will be seeking alternative remedies. My advice, stay far away from Daniel's. Their customer service is non-existent. Their accountability is non-existent. And obviously, their craftsmanship is sub-standard.

I've had a 3-4 interactions with Daniel's since last year. They came out to install a special UV filter on our HVAC units (supposed to clump up viruses , etc). Then they came out to do an inspection of our HVAC units in March and said there was a freon leak in one of the units and recommended replacing. Daniel's priced out a "good" option and a "better", more expensive higher SEER option. I went with the more expensive one and paid for it. After it was installed , I happened to look at the model number and they installed the cheaper one. They did ultimately fix it, but it took literally 2 weeks of almost daily phone calls on my end to get a hold of the manager. I get it that mistakes happen, but once they learned of the mistake , I was still the one that had to initiate the calls and try to get them to fix it. I don't think they were actively trying to bait and switch me, but the communication was very poor. I would email and call andleave messages and no one would call me back. I also was told I would get an email with the invoice and receipt, and I didn't receive it until I finally had to call several times asking for it days later bc they didn't pro-actively send it. So, this past week, my other AC unit stopped working. Daniel's sent a tech yesterday and diagnosed a bad transformer and wanted to charge a significant amount to repair. They didn't have the part on the truck and said I would get a call this morning to set up appt. Well, when I called them this morning, their computers were down and was told I would get a call after they came back online. My friend happened to refer me to another company (Oscar with True Comfort Air) , who was able to squeeze me in. Oscar came out and showed me the transformer was working (pulling 24 volts) and after some trouble shooting, found out it was a bad electrical switch. The funny thing about this is I never received a phone call back from Daniel's (even after their computers got back online). So, in summary, I do not think they were purposely trying to bait and switch and cheat me with the less expensive unit. However, I think they have very poor communication. Even when they knew they screwed up they did not take the initiative to fix it. I had to call repeatedly to get the problem fixed--maybe since they knew I wouldn't stop calling until they fixed it. I will not be going back to Daniel's in the future.

I feel like I got ripped off. Pipe burst due to the freezing weather, so i was pretty desperate and they were the only ones who were able to get out to my house quickly, so I didn't have much of a choice. $325 for "investigation" (cutting a hole in the drywall), $456 to remove a concrete block that was housing the PVC pipe, and an additional $800 to replace less than 2 ft of PVC pipe ($1580). I was told this was the only option, as they were just restoring water because of the disaster situation in this area (understandable), but the technician wouldn't quote me for the additional full repair, and said I needed to call to schedule an additional follow up. Called that same day and was given an appointment date over a month later. Called a few other plumbers, who not only scheduled me sooner, but quoted me $500 for the full fix (digging into the ground to properly put the pipe, as well as removing the PVC that was installed by Daniels and replacing with copper underground). Considering it being a disaster situation, my only options were to pay $1500 for a freaking PVC repair, or go another week+ without running water (i could have done everything myself besides chipping the concrete block, so essentially $1100 for removing drywall and replacing a couple feet of PVC pipe). I was also not told about financing options, and was pretty much told i needed to make an immediate decision because they were busy trying to get out to other houses that lost water during the freeze, so i ended up just putting it on my credit card (again, we're in a disaster situation, I'm housing 4 people at my house because they had been without power for days, and i just want to get water restored to my house so we can drink/cook/flush without having to walk to my neighbors house to fill 5 gallon buckets) Like I said, it feels like I got completely ripped off, which if based on other reviews I'm reading now seems standard for Daniel's (wish I had done this BEFORE hiring them, but they were the only plumber who could service my house that same week) And to hammer this point down, this was just a TEMPORARY FIX, where now i still need to hire an additional plumber to come out and do a permanent fix that doesn't leave me exposed to another freeze and burst event. I'm normally a pretty understanding person, but this really makes me feel like I've been taken advantage of.

I chose Daniel's Plumbing & HVAC in September 2025 for a full HVAC replacement. I went with them because their customer service seemed great during the sales process, and they promoted a strong warranty and service plan that was included in the price. Unfortunately, the experience didn't really live up to those expectations. The installation itself didn't go as planned. During the initial appointment, measurements apparently weren't taken correctly. When the installers arrived, they realized the system wouldn't fit as expected and had to cut out part of the ceiling to make everything work. Because of this, the installation took much longer than expected and they had to come back another day to finish the job. About a month later when I tried to turn the heat on for the first time, the system didn't work. I had to call for a service appointment, and the technician discovered that the system had never actually been turned on by the installers. The tech initially tried to charge me around $100 for the visit, which I pushed back on since the issue was clearly related to the installation. After some discussion they eventually agreed not to charge me. Now that it's tax season, I've run into another issue. One of the selling points during the sales process was that the system would qualify for energy tax credits and rebates. When I started filing my taxes, I learned that the IRS requires the cost of each component to be itemized. However, my invoice from Daniel's lists everything as one lump sum. For the past couple of months I've been calling Daniel's trying to get an itemized invoice or clarification so I can properly claim the rebate. Each time I've been told that Adrian would call me back, but I never received a return call. Today I finally spoke with someone who told me they will not provide an itemized invoice and didn't really have any solution. The whole experience has been frustrating. The sales process and promises were great, but the follow-through has been disappointing. Between the installation issues, the system not being turned on, and now the lack of support with documentation for the rebates they promoted, the customer service just hasn't matched what was advertised. I'm not sure I could recommend Daniel's based on my experience. If customer service and clear communication matter to you, that's something to keep in mind.
