If a water heater is going to go out it will be on the weekend. Thank goodness that BeeHive Plumbing has technicians available. Comfort Solutions referred us to them when we called them and we were so happy. They gave us a window they would be here, then showed up in that window, found what they needed to for our Hot Water Heater and replaced it all the same day. They cared about not doing any damage to carpet and made sure we were up to code. Thank you for your caring and help Beehive, thank you for the referral Comfort Solutions!
Jacob was awesome!! Super friendly and informative. I also want to note how efficient he was. Found the issue and solved it with speed and quality. Great customer service! Overall very happy!
10 out of 5 STARS!!!! Benjamin and Maverik were outstanding!!! They had designed and installed an emergency shower, plumbing for washing machine, drainage, pump and a water heater. WE LOVE IT!!! Very Professional and highly recommended. Thank you very much! Everything was done efficiently, one day job. They Helped our Business tremendously at Dynotron!!!
If mediocre or "good enough" is what you're looking for, then these guys are right for you. They replaced the PRV with the cheapest type available and installed some pex pipe where a decent plumber would've used copper. Not impressed.
Hey! If you're gonna force someone out of their lane because you don't feel like head checking, at least do it in an area of the freeway where the cars aren't all bunched together and the person you're pretending doesn't exist won't be in danger of a severe accident trying to get out of your way. Additionally, a small wave of apology for the danger you put someone in because you can't be bothered to drive with care for others, goes a long way. Thanks!
Set an appointment for this week, got a call but did not get around to calling back. They called me this morning to ask for more details on what I wanted done, which I provided. Then I got a call (I work from home and was on a 15 minute phone call with a customer so I could not answer). Within 3-5 minutes I also got a text saying they had someone available right then and could they come over? There was also a warning saying they would pass me by if I did not respond right away. I called within 5 minutes of that, and got the same person I spoke with that morning. The man I spoke with was a in a big hurry (which is fine) and wanted to talk over me (not fine). I said today wasn't going to work, and he said then I would need to wait a week for an appointment. I was confused on the date of the appointment, he clarified that it was scheduled for today, but my 4 hr window did not start for another 30 mins. I pointed out that the text and the voicemail I received (coming within 5 minutes of each other, and threatening to pass me by if I didn't respond) made it sound like the "plumber available right now" was an offer to come early, which I declined. Saying they would not keep my appointment (which had been scheduled for more than a week) because of that, seemed unprofessional. I had to specifically ask the man not to talk over me while trying to explain this, as he was eager to interrupt before I could finish explaining. As I said, being in a hurry is fine, but being rude is not. I also felt like while this man's words were polite, the manner he gave them in was rather defensive and rude. At first I was going to reschedule, but then decided I did not want to do business with a company that was okay with talking over a customer and treating them rudely because they have a lot of calls to deal with. From the reviews here, sounds like they are good at plumbing, but apparently not so good at dealing with people. I'm tired of giving business to companies that feel they can treat customers this way, without apology or respect.
Very disappointing. We called Beehive Plumbing on January 6th to have them fix a clog on our bathtub and laundry drain. When the plumber Alma arrived, we showed him the problem areas, and also asked about clearing the main line to the house. He told us the main line would cost $375, then $100 for the two drains. We didn't have $475 to spend right then and there, so we declined the main line expecting to pay $100 for the two drains. Having looked at competitors coupons (anyhour charges $40 per drain) I thought $100 for 2 drains seemed about right. When he was done about 20 minutes later we were billed for $325. I called Beehive to ask why this bill was so big when I was quoted $100. I was told "part of the reason why the bill is higher is because I offer a 90 guarantee on all my work. If something happens I'll come back out and fix it." After going back and forth, the plumber Alma called me apologizing that he wasn't clear about the pricing, and said he'd be able to knock off $125 from the bill "friends and family discount" bringing the total to $200. I knew I wasn't getting the original deal quoted, so I agreed and they mailed me a $125 check. Fast forward to this week. We are a little over 1 month since our visit. The bathtub isn't draining. I called Beehive Plumbing to have them make good on the 90 Day Guarantee. I was told that part of the reason I was able to get such a good deal at $200, was they took off the guarantee entirely without telling me. The plumber Alma said he'd "see what he could do" but he hasn't returned my calls. If you quote somebody a price.. stick with it. I am not a wealthy man. Single income with 3 kids. Having a plumber come to my house is never an expected thing to have to spend my money on.. but that's life and we do what we have to do. If you tell somebody that your work is guaranteed... Don't lie. I feel like a fool for getting duped by these guys. So hopefully this review serves as a warning to look elsewhere. Beehive Plumbing will spit in your face and tell you it's rain.
Beehive Plumbing has provided the most prompt, professional, detailed, educational and pleasant service I've received in many years. Since June 23rd 2024 I've had need of their help 3 times for plumbing regarding very old pipes in a historical home I inherited. The pipes are cast iron and barely functioning. Beehive has responded within less than an hour for basement flooding and sewer overflowing in a large part of one side of my basement and major flooding in the other half of the basement where boxes of important items were involved. And twice it's been on a Saturday and Sunday morning. MARK has been a life saver with his expertise and positive attitude. Has always made me feel like nothing is so bad that he can't make better and with this attitude has quickly put my frantic self back together. When I've called in I specifically ask for MARK because I have complete confidence in his understanding my house and it's quirks. Saturday, MARK suggested Ron come in to do the more advanced project of installing a liner in the old pipes. The estimate MARK approximated, when I asked for a ball park figure, was pretty much spot on when RON wrote up the estimate today. RON couldn't have been more professional, calm and pleasant. Such a wonderful attitude and welcomed my input. Explained everything in detail and left me with an email detailing the information to back up his verbal explaination of how the project will unfold in the next few days. I completely recommend Beehive Plumbing and especially MARK and RON. I would give them complete reign over my house if I couldn't be here when they start and complet the project. They radiate trust and competency. I appreciate everything about them and the company standards. I believe they are reasonably priced and will provide me many more years of solid water pipes that do there job without fail. I call that a good investment in a very old house. THANK YOU
We have a toilet that we have had turned off for about a year at my mothers house due to a small leak. We arranged for a plumber to come out to take a look and diagnose the issue. Jon Goble arrived this morning at her house and was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional towards her from the moment he walked in to the moment he left. He made several comments about how he was going to be sick while looking at a toilet that has maybe been used 10 times in the last 10 years. How does looking at a cleaned unused toilet make a plumber sick? It has been shut off for about a year but we have kept water in it to prevent the dry smell and when I was there just yesterday there was zero odor. That bathroom isn't even used. He kept repeating his comments about how disgusted he was because there was a dog in the home that she out of courtesy kept in an entirely different room before he even arrived. Unsure if his repeated I am going to be sick comments were related to looking at a toilet or the fact that she owned a dog. The house was built in 2006 but he is telling her the toilet is so old it has to be completely replaced and that she was out of luck as they suddenly just increased their prices yesterday. She tried to be friendly and lighten the mood and made a joke about how she knew how to replace small things like handles as her father taught her a lot about plumbing when he retired from the military, but he cut her off and told her "that doesn't make you a plumber". After he left my mom called me and was in tears and extremely embarrassed. Also convenient he mentioned higher prices than advertised after he was there making comments and cutting her off when trying to speak. You're a dick Jon and I am embarrassed for your employer.
Another plumber installed my storage tank water heater on 9/28/17. On Friday, 5/22/20 at 8 AM I found that I had no water. I found a leak at the bottom of the tank. I called the plumber and found out they were closed. I had to call their answering service and wait 15 minutes. My message was forwarded. I received a call and this lady said she could fix it on Tuesday. I complained and then she said 8PM Saturday night and pay OT or Tuesday and pay no OT. I kept complaining and she said 8-10AM Saturday and it would cost $675. The original was $1,000. She said my 40 Gal. was "old" and the State of Utah ruled that a new type had to be installed. I then called Beehive and was told a Tech could be at my house by 3 PM. Benj came and told me that a storage tank lasts between 3-7 years. My wife and I saw reviews of tankless vs. tank with tankless receiving 95% favorable reviews. Beehive has Noritz Tankless with a 25 year warranty and it can never leak. I found on YouTube that Noritz is the only one that has the piping at the top, which is much easier for installation. Benj started at 4:15 PM and never took a food break. A young Tech named Sam came and helped for a few hours, but had to leave. Benj had special equipment he used instead of welding and saved time. He had to go outside and drill a hole through my siding to vent it and that was the night it rained very heavily. He also had to strap and hang large PVC pipes. He finally left at 11:30 PM. He was amazing, awesome and fantastic. He told us "I wasn't going to leave until you had hot water." On a scale of 1-10, he deserves a minimum score of 13 and maybe more. This is an example of a truly inspiring work ethic. I AM NOW A LIFETIME BEEHIVE CUSTOMER.
What can I say about Beehive plumbing & HVAC, they are the bee's knees! We have a charming #old house in Midvale and they had done plumbing work previously, they saved us hundreds because we just needed an adjustment and not a whole new fixture. They were actually honest with us & because of that I called to get more work done, they told me that they also do HVAC work! For anyone who has had home repairs done since 2020, a company that can do multiple things #jackpot. Junior & Chris were the HVAC team sent out, they are seasoned, kind, hardworking, honest guys. They covered their shoes every time they came in or out and they are not the shady type you have to worry about being home alone with them in your house:) (You know what I'm talking about ladies.) They walked us through all of our options & they were very conscientious of our budget and all of the weird quarks of our house. I can honestly not say enough good things about them, they were real, timely & didn't leave our house in total disarray. We ended up getting two furnaces and a water heater and we plan to use them again and again. Truly I am not a blogger, nor a salesman, nor was I paid for my review, I am a real life customer who paid with my own hard earned money, and when people are as good as them I want others to know! Beehive Plumbing & HVAC is a rarity in this COVID suck feast of home repairs & we are told their owner is all about quality and honesty. They are an honest, local company with amazing employees. Chris and Junior are top notch! We would recommend them to anyone. Do yourself a favor & spend your hard earned money on them, they are worth every Penny!
BEWARE! Be sure to get everything in writing or you might get the bate and switch I got. I have two water heaters in my home. One of them went out. I called for a bid to replace the one Rheem Energy Star water heater. I told Hyrum that I needed a price for a comparable water heater. He gave me the price for a regular, high efficiency and energy star. Then he told me that if I would replace both water heaters at the same time, I could get get a significant discount. It would be a savings of several hundred dollars. My energy star water heaters were the same age and he suggested the remaining water heater could soon fail, so I agree. It was my understanding I would get two energy star Rheem water heaters, just like the ones I had for the same price as two high efficiency Rheem water heaters. When the water heaters were installed they had the same manufactures numbers as the energy star except for the last digit. I didn't realize I had been bated and switched until I applied for a rebate online. They didn't install energy star water heaters, they were only high efficiency. So I paid full price for both water heaters, I saved no money by installing two water heaters. To make matters worse, we now are taking cold showers. We are not getting water hot enough to take a hot shower, the water is luke warm. Matt has said he will come check out the problem, but has never showed up, will not answer my calls when I phone him, and does not return calls after I leave a message. Jeanette M Herriman
I am giving 3 stars because I think the plumber we had was good and very kind and knowledgeable. Younger kid, so I can't fault him for my negative feelings. And they did get to us pretty quickly, which I appreciate. I do feel highly ripped off. Our water heater wasn't working in December of 2021. I called Beehive and someone came out and let me know the water heater needed to be replaced. The good news is that it was under warranty. The bad news is that it was going to cost us over $1000 for the installation. I'm not sure why we were responsible to pay installation and not the manufacturer, but the water heater was about 5 years old, so I was happy that I didn't have to pay for a whole new unit. Here we are, less than 2 years later, and water heater is faulty again. No fault of our own as determined by the plumber, just a faulty water heater. Once again, it will be covered under warranty, and once again, we will have to pay an outrageous amount of money to get it installed. I am not sure why the plumbing company doesn't have an arrangement with the manufacturer to be reimbursed. I've never had to pay for installation for any other product or appliance that was covered under warranty. I'm extremely upset and will also be leaving an extremely bad review for Rheem. However, I will not use Beehive is this water heater goes out AGAIN. I will not be calling Beehive again.
Update2: Kudos to Beehive who saw my update and is in the process of refunding the $50. Thank you! PS we don't want Christopher to lose his job. We just want honest, clear communication. Update: Three stars for the most recent repair person. He told us it cost extra to do the finish caulk, so we told him we'd do that part, and he said ok. He told us the warranty was included when we asked if it cost extra. After these communications, we signed and he went to work - come to find out, he did the finish caulking even though we had asked him not to, and the warranty is not included. It was itemized as a $50 fee on our final invoice. We felt tricked. We confronted him, and he said, "Well it was on the order you signed!" If you get Christopher Beck, double check his list of fees before you sign even if you have communicated clearly what you want and do not want. He was on time, and did a great job, but communication was questionable. Makes me want to try a different plumbing company next time, or request a different repairman. Old review... Five stars for the clogged drain guys: These guys are clean, respectful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They got the job done right and now our drains flow perfectly.
Caution regarding Beehive Plumber, Russell. I'm not one to typically write reviews, positive or negative. However, I feel compelled to share this experience. My sister, who isn't fluent in English, encountered a plumbing issue just before Thanksgiving. She contacted Beehive, a highly regarded company in the area. Not very fluent in English, she was informed by Russell that the washer pipe had never been connected. 8 hours later, he handed her a bill for $5200.00 for 8 hours of labor. 2 weeks later, the same problem recurred. This time I contacted Beehive again and another plumber was sent. This time, an experienced plumber came and determined the root cause of the issue lay 75 feet away from the property, where the main pipe was encroached by tree roots. I've contacted Beehive and was told the pipe in the house was never connected and that water had been draining into the soil under the basement for the past 50 years without anyone noticing. BWAHAHHAHA. While I appreciate the owner of Beehive supporting their employees, scamming a widow of $5200 for 8 hours of plumbing service is unacceptable.
