We had an issue late Sunday afternoon with our kitchen sink. We called their service, and they arrived promptly early Monday morning. The technician was knowledgeable, courteous, and thorough. He explained the problem and showed us how to prevent future issues: avoid putting too much food in the garbage disposal, and run hot water with detergent once a week to help prevent clogs. I highly recommend this company!

Aaron gets an A for amazing. Awesome. Amiable. We will use Advanced if we ever have a plumbing need, and you should, too. Responsive on the phone. Quick appointment slot. Communicative when he was arriving. Love that I found this company!

On Xmas day, the hot water faucet handle on my kitchen sink fell off and created a geyser. I called several plumbing companies who gave high consultation fees. Most weren’t available until the next day. Fortunately, I found Advanced Plumbing and Drain. Tim answered the phone and scheduled me for the next day between 7-8. Alex kept me updated as to his arrival time. I opened the door to a very friendly happy plumber who put us at ease. He was professional and knowledgeable. Alex did a quick fix at a fair price so that we could celebrate Christmas that day.

I struggled deciding whether to write this update, and ultimately decided to do so because as a homeowner, I'd like to see honest reviews to help me when needed. I initially was very happy with the service. Brian (may he RIP) was a nice guy and fixed my shower mixer, installed a new showerhead, new kitchen faucet, and new garbage disposal. The caulking done in the bathroom was somewhat sloppy, but I overlooked that because I was happy about having a working shower. The kitchen is where the issues came up, 4 years later. First, the sink was leaking. When the new garbage disposal was installed, the "lip" or whatever it's called that's in the sink wasn't sealed correctly, so water was leaking through to the cabinet under the sink. Nick came by and took a look, and they fixed it without charge since they did the initial work, which I appreciated it. But then, the kitchen faucet became loose -- it wasn't tightened properly when it was installed and kept rocking back and forth. So I asked a family member who's a general contractor to come by and fix it. He fixed that, and then found that the garbage disposal was about to drop out completely because the screws had fallen out. Not only that, a puddle of water had collected at the base of the cabinet because water was once again leaking due to improper installation of the garbage disposal. This could've been REALLY bad for me in terms of $$$ if I hadn't asked my uncle to take a look at it. I had written a message to Advanced Plumbing to let them know about this; honestly, partly because I was thinking an apology and promise to do better in the future would've been good at this point. But heard nothing from them, and after debating for a while, I decided to write this update because while the guys are nice and respectful when they were here in person, I really question the quality of the work when it couldn't even hold up for 4 years of light use (I spent about a year away from home, so it's more like 3 years, really).

BEWARE!!!! This company took advantage of my 95 yr old mother!! Owner well aware of the situation! My sisters husband did a Yelp and clearly the owner went to Yelp to dispute like if he had NO IDEA of the post nor did the owner bother to check the name of customer on file!! WATCH OUT for this company the values they state are just blowing smoke" just out to make MONEY!!!! I am sure he will remove this awell!!! Funny how the real Yelp review of customers disappear

We called Advanced Plumbing and Drain when we saw a leak in our garage directly below our shower. At the time I was 2 weeks away from my due date and wanted to get the issue resolved asap so we called Advanced Plumbing and Drain. They sent a technician over quickly who did not find a solution for the leak but gave us suggestions- which was helpful. In the process however, he broke our shower head off the pipe. He advised me that I could easily replace it via Amazon and didn’t charge me for the site visit. We replaced the shower head and then within a day of that we had another issue w the piping and shower pressure- the shower pressure became unbearable when using hot water, so we called them back. They promised us they would send a senior technician to help us this time, but when the day came they sent the same technician who broke our showered. He then proceeded to take our shower apart even more, but then could not find the parts to reassemble it. At this point I was 3 days post partum and now did not have a functional shower. They turned the water off in our house for eeveral hours and ultimately had to completely seal off the pipes to the shower to prevent flooding because they could not find the parts- rendering our shower useless until we did an even larger project to fix the pipes- requiring that we go through the drywall and potentially re tile the shower. After all that, we NEVER heard back from them with a quote despite following up several times. They completely ghosted us after creating a huge inconvenience in our house. The company has not responded to us and we have since had to find someone else to do the work. I would not recommend working with them.

Stay Away from Advanced Plumbing - Unprofessional, Overpriced, and Exploitative My grandparents needed a simple gutter pipe replacement, and I called Advanced Plumbing to get a quote. Ron Kapah, the representative who came out, had the audacity to quote us at an outrageous $1,450. To add insult to injury, he tore the curtain of the window while inspecting the pipe and didn't even bother to apologize, hoping I wouldn't notice. As a materials engineer with plenty of experience in house repairs and plumbing, I knew that the quote was nothing short of highway robbery. Thankfully, I was able to prevent my grandfather from falling victim to their scam, but things took a turn for the worse. I decided to get more quotes and received two reasonable ones at $450 and $300. However, I ultimately chose to do the repair myself, and it only took me 2 hours to complete the job that Advanced Plumbing had the nerve to quote at $1,450! And if that wasn't enough, a month and a half later, they had the audacity to call me, claiming I was late on paying their invoice - for work they never performed! This is a clear-cut case of a company attempting to exploit elderly clients, charging them exorbitant prices, and trying to collect money for work that was never done. There are plenty of reputable and honest plumbers out there who will treat you with respect and charge you fairly for their services - Advanced Plumbing is not one of them.

Advanced Plumbing & Drain solved a huge problem when the upstairs residents of a duplex building tried to snake their own shower and got the snake irretrievably stuck deep in the plumbing of the building. Dylan tried valiantly to get it out from the top, but it became clear it was going to require cutting open the ceiling of the bathroom below to cut open the pipe. Dylan gave me a clear estimate and came back to do the job, but then it turned out the snake had gone further down than anyone imagined. Rather than bashing out the wall to keep chasing it, Dylan called in reinforcements and Advanced came through with two more guys. They tried every trick and every tool to save that downstairs bathroom from becoming a mandatory re-tile job. Eventually they succeeded! They saved the day, saved the tile, and did it all with courtesy, friendliness, and a good-spirited teamwork attitude. Through no fault of their own, the scope of the problem and number of plumbers and time required ended up going well beyond the initial estimate, but the additional charge was exceptionally reasonable. I was expecting much worse. It was very clear they really wanted to get the job done well and with the least demolition possible. Their attitude was excellent, their skills and creativity exemplary, and their pricing was more than fair in light of the time and effort required. I can't recommend them highly enough!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Advanced Plumbing and Drain Inc. From the very first time I worked with them, I knew I had found a truly exceptional company. What sets them apart immediately is how well organized and professional they are. Everyone has a clear role, and every person I have interacted with has been outstanding—from the person who schedules appointments and follows up, to the plumber who arrives fully prepared, knowledgeable, and ready to solve the problem. My plumber, Gabriel, is absolutely extraordinary. He is never late, he communicates clearly, and his work is consistently impeccable. Whether the job is small or large, he approaches it with the same care, precision, and professionalism. I have been genuinely blown away by the quality of his work. I have been using Advanced Plumbing and Drain Inc. for over four years, and I have not used another plumber since. They provide excellent value, exceptional service, and a level of reliability that is very hard to find. Over the years, I have also gotten to know Gabriel, and he is a delight to be around—professional, kind, knowledgeable, and clearly proud of the work he does. This company is a rare find: a wonderful owner, happy and professional employees, excellent communication, and truly superior workmanship. I would never go anywhere else.

Nick, this is the name I know I can call at any time for a plumbing issue of any complexity and at any time. And I know I can trust his work. I should have written my review for the other service he did... well this is my most recent experience: I got my kitchen sink pipe cracked, and sent the photo to Nick and asked for an appt. He came with the part he purchased for me, identified/reconfirmed the issue, provided the estimate and replaced the broken part. All in less than 40 mins! Quick and easy! He also gave me the heads-ups on the issues I might need to fix in the near future and provided the estimates for them. This may sound like an easy story with a happy ending, but, believe me, I have another "plumbing" story that sounded even easier then this one but turned into a saga...and this one was not with Nick. You now wonder about how much I paid, and how it compares with the other plumbers. My experience tells me that the guys who are willing to work on your issue know the market prices much better than you and are competitive in the estimates. These who don't want to.. they give your the prices beyond reasonable. I can also highly praise the effective communication and scheduling that is used by this business. I would definitely recommend it!!! Five stars!

Nick is fantastic. Fairly priced, great customer service and communication and willing to help however he can. He's a small shop and he treats his business and his clients with total respect. Shows up on time and handles the work in a thoughtful manner. This was my first experience with Nick and I found him via Yelp's request a quote system. I put out a quote request for installing a seismic gas line shutoff valve to several contractors and Nick got back to me pretty quickly with what seemed to be a relatively straightforward install job. He quoted around $400-450 for the job which appeared to be in line with some other contractor responses. Since he was a fast responder and his reviews were killer, I asked Nick if he wanted to do it and he scheduled the install for a couple days later. While onsite, he completed the install quickly, tested the gas appliances throughout the house and taught me about how the shutoff valve works. Additionally, he helped me diagnose some other plumbing related (non-urgent) problems I've been having lately in the house. Great experience. I've got Nick on "speed dial" for the next, inevitable plumbing problem in my house :)

Called around to address a clogged sink drain. I'd done some legwork first (removed trap, ran manual snake through line) to make sure I really needed a pro before having to wade through all the suspect 5-star reviews to find someone capable and trustworthy. Other plumbers (including two I'd used before) either refused to provide any ballpark estimate, even if assuming a simple rooting with an electric snake was all that was needed, or provided crazy high estimates for simple rooting. Advanced didn't play these pricing games, provided fair prices (keep in mind, it's still SF), and provided an appointment for the next morning (1-hour time window, not 4!). When Gabriel arrived, he was on time, very courteous, cleaned up the inevitable post-rooting mess, and super friendly to boot. Oh, and he fixed my problem quickly and efficiently! He noted things to do to avoid reclogging, pointed out a dent in the pipe that was a problem spot, quoted a very fair price for replacing the pipe, along with a couple other minor plumbing fixes I had him look at. Advanced will definitely be my first call for any future plumbing needs!

Wow. Alex from Advanced Plumbing truly came through in a clutch for me and my sad little toilet in an older San Francisco building. I have one of those tankless toilets that could barely flush a single piece of one-ply TP. I was on a tight timeline to get this fixed, and another plumber had already tried, failed, and charged me $900 dollars for the privilege. (Safe to say: do NOT call Magic Plumbing.) Alex came out the very next day, diagnosed the issue quickly, and explained that the toilet and the pipes leading into the wall all needed to be replaced. He handled everything professionally and knew exactly what to do to shut-off water pipes for our old building. A lot of plumbers do not know how to navigate that, and our building is ultra picky.. Four hours later, I had a fully functioning toilet again, and for far less than what the other company quoted. I was beyond relieved and so grateful for the quality of work and honest communication. Highly recommend.

These folks are the absolute best, I work with plumbers all the time, and they really stood out on several levels: 3 plumber tested and bid the job Gaberial is the only on who got it right. He went above and beyond in testing to make sure we identified all of the problems and there were several leaks. The quality of his work was top notch and he kept working until he was sure all problems were fixed, and then tested them one more time to be110% sure. The entire office staff was a pleasure to deal with when scheduling and working out the contract and pricing. Their price was completely fair and when it turned out it was going to need an additional hour of work he didn't even charge us. I absolutely will use them again. We had a leak that started on the 3rd floor but then had a second drain is was attached to leaking on a lower level and he caught them all. Thank you very much Advanced plumbing and drain, but most of all Gaberiel.

I had a plumbing emergency 10 AM on a Sunday. Upstairs sewage line blocked and sewage water coming through the ceiling of the lower bathroom. I was somewhat freaking out...understandably so :) Called a larger 24 hour plumbing company. They told me they could possibly come to my house between 9-10 PM. No way! Found Advanced on Yelp. They came out within 2 hours and provided great service. The plumber was super nice. They had to pull my entire toilet off to get into the main line after unsuccessfully trying to unclog it. They charged around $360, which seemed fair. The plumber took great care to work clean. I just had new light-color carpet installed in my house and he took great care. Put shoe covers on without even having to ask. I really appreciated the extra mile. Unfortunately it's not easy these days to find crafts people not only do a good job but are also willing to be nice. Advanced did both! Thank you
