Marlon and team came initially for a snake cam inspection due to sewer stoppage under the crawlspace and found major cast iron pipe under the house was severely corroded and leaking in the crawlspace. A whole section of cast iron pipe was taken out and replaced with modern ABS piping. However down the line there was clay pipe that was also flooded. This damn house was build in 1955 and perhaps older sewer pipes with pre-existing foundation on an older home prior. After a sewer clean-out built for further cleaning and inspection, multiple spots along the clay pipe had root intrusion causing sewer accumulation and stoppage. Since spot repairs will not solve a near-century old problem as earth movement and tree roots will further compromise the clay pipe, a trench-less repiping was deployed from under the house to the sewer main to get rid of any cast iron and clay pipe, as it's been at least 70 years since the sewer pipe had any service or upgrade. An 20-ft epoxy prepared line pulled with pressured air pump was done from the new clean-out outside to the section under the patio and house. Then a trench-less pipe bursting shoved a 50ft+ ABS pipe all the way to the sewer main. The team worked diligently everyday during the stormy days to get the job done, except one day during the epoxy curing followed by a mother of all storm when weather god had a bad Valentine's date. Empathy was practiced to make sure we had least inconvenience. Thanks to Marlon for his friendliness that came a long way. And George who took the time to explain the finer detail to make sure things were well taken cared of. I came to experience how the backyard soil became soft enough to dig holes on a few occasions but short of any Shawshank redemption escape experience along the sewer trench. Works Plumbing took care of the rest from the initial phone answering, organized communication, hard-work team effort, to reseating the toilet and caulking that was better than it was first installed. Great job to all. Well, it ain't cheap, but a clean sewer will save sanity for ages to come. Cast iron and clay pipe suck, don't let them ruin your shower, kitchen, and bathroom experience. We had a very complicated plumbing issue with an old clogged pipe, and our technician was excellent at diagnosing the problem and working through a variety of different solutions. I would highly recommend this company for all of your plumbing needs. I felt like I was being scammed by the technian Marlon and for not even being able to resolve my plumbing problem I still had to pay $570 after being charged $1375 which I refused to pay.

If you have a lot of money sure! Get them. The process over the phone was smooth. Super fast to get a person in your property The guy was ok Breyman came and said ufff the sticker with the serial number it's not here (it was in the other side the thing is the tank needs to be replaced...for the same it's gonna cost you 3300 dollars including tank, and if you want to upgrade to a tankless YOU NEED to open a vent ...destroy a wall, get new pipes, 10000! I am Not kidding ...he even told me how many bathrooms you have? And I say 1 and he look at me like that was an exorbitant amount of bathrooms! Dude is 1! my existing water heating already has a vent, I got another professional to check it. And said well you already have a vent here, here is your gas line so yeap I ALMOST got scammed ...so if you want to pay a crazy amount of money please yeah get them ...

My San Francisco sewer line had backed up twice in the last two years during rain storms with water coming into my garage. I had two prominent plumbing companies review the situation and provide recommendations, which were identical in scope. Jason, the field supervisor for Discount Plumbing, provided a detailed summary of the work to be provided and an estimate that was 30% lower than another the other company. He spent a long time explaining the work to be done and was available throughout to answer any questions I had. The crew was led by Christian who did an outstanding job. They completed both a cast-iron trench replacement along my house and a trenchless replacement in my front yard in one day. They were on time, placed tarps to protect property and landscaping of my house and my neighbor. They worked quietly and efficiently. During excavation, Christian determined that there was significant root intrusion in a pipe crossing the yard from the storm downspouts on the opposite side of the house. After speaking with Jason about the most cost effective options, the roots were mechanically removed and connections were established to the downspouts to assure access in the future. Christian's crew then closed up the trench and left the premises absolutely immaculate, to the astonishment of me and my neighbor. The company that reconnected my irrigation was also impressed. By this time, I had received bids from two-three vendors I contacted directly. Soon after posting my need for a licensed technician for a commercial buildings gas line repair, I received a call from Works Plumbing. The office staff was very nice, patient and detailed. I was able to set an appointment for the very next morning. After the call, I received a text notification with the technician’s photo and contact information. With this, I was able to inform my team of who and what to expect. The following morning, I received a phone call from Marlon, the technician, who provided me with his ETA. In speaking with Marlon, I was able to reiterate my request, and essentially feel very comfortable with the level of service I expected to receive. Once onsite, Marlon called again to inform me of his findings as well as an action plan to remedy the situation immediately. I was impressed by his professionalism and knowledge. I agreed to have the work performed by Works Plumbing. Not only did they repair the leak, they set an appointment with PG&E to follow up with a site visit and they conducted an after visit survey! I feel it’s appropriate to give credit where credit is due and Works Plumbing certainly deserves the praise. My matter was completed within a couple of hours and at a most respectfully reasonable cost. I highly recommend Works Plumbing. And shout out to Willy @Works Plumbing who assisted Marlon onsite. You two are in my favor!

I used discount plumbing because the kitchen sink was backing up on both sides. The pipes below the sink were clear, so i suspected that the clog was further down the pipe. I tried the standard home remedies of hot water and then baking soda and vinegar but it seemed to work a little bit but still backed up so figured it was more of the drain pipe down to the main line. Discount plumbers was the first to respond on Yelp and I have used them before. Pretty responsive about offering the time availability the next day. The technician was on time and offered up two solutions. I was able to ask other plumbing friends if we wanted to do a snake or something called descaling which was more expensive. But I wanted to make sure that we did what was best for the house in the long term. Since we have never descaled these pipes before, ended up doing that. The technician was very informative about what was happening and was accommodating. Discount plumbing may be reasonable for their price however they are not discounting on their customer service and I would recommend them if you have any issues and I will plan to use them again.

Would recommend or be a return customer in the future. Pricey, but worth the cost in the care/service provided. Discount Plumbing had same day availability when I needed service urgently. The representative who answered the call was professional and quickly scheduled an appointment. Called a few other plumber services and Discount Plumbing was the one who was able to fit me in same-day. (The others I've called placed me on a wait list and didn't sound as friendly.) Josue arrived on time for the appointment and greeted me with a big smile. Josue's service was fantastic. He reviewed the issue, gave a clear and concise explanation and provided his recommendation. Before starting work I received a clear breakdown of the price and procedure. During each major step of the way, Josue explained what he was about to do and why. This didn't take any bit of his time and I appreciated his great communication throughout the entire process. Excellent service and communication from Josue is the main reason for this positive review. He truly set a high bar for any future customer service interactions everywhere.

On Friday we discovered our toilet and shower were backed up and it was only getting worse by the hour. We called discount plumber and they were here the same day, they attempted multiple fixes and unfortunately were not able to free the clog. However they did mentioned they'd need to come back on Saturday to drill into our garage to remove the pipe and manually extract the blockage. They kept their word and walked us through every step of work they were doing. They ultimately found a tree root had somehow made it into our pipe! They were able to remove it and then created a new pipe system so that if this were to happen again, there would be an easier work around. Loved the communication and attentiveness of this team! They re did the area they dug into with a fresh round of cement, cleaned up throughly as they wrapped up. I also felt like for the work they did it was very much worth it from an investment perspective.Would not hesitate to reach out for any plumbing needs. Thanks for the help here Edgar and team!

My mother and I had nothing but problems with getting a written estimate for a shower valve replacement. The plumber that came out provided an estimate all written in past tense as if the work had already been done. He had provided his personal phone number and requests for him to correct the estimate and return our calls went unanswered. The project manager got involved and again unresponsive. He said he couldn't guarantee the date/time unless we signed the estimate. We did not sign the estimate because they did not provide a corrected one despite repeated requests. We ended getting a more reliable plumbing company to come out and guess who also showed up? Discount Plumbing!! And it wasn't even the original plumber who said he would be doing the job. The plumber that showed up said the original plumber sent him - the one that wouldn't correct his estimate!

Have used Discount Plumbing twice since 2022 and each time were extremely happy with the service. Most recently had a clogged laundry drain and was able to have someone out within an hour of calling. Plumber who arrived, Jachua, was courteous, respectful, competent and very very patient with explaining everything clearly and so I understood. While he was working on the clogged drain pipe I noticed a small leak underneath kitchen sink and he was happy to address it after clearing clog and making sure washer drained properly. He worked carefully and efficiently in diagnosing and repairing, was respectful of our home and left everything clean and tidy. Cost of repairs was fair and less than I was expecting. Thank you Jachua and Discount Plumbing! Definitely recommend based on our 2 experiences and should mention we originally found them a neighbor's referral.

The wash bowl basins at the salon were backing up so we needed someone to come out. I called three other places before reaching out to Works Plumbing Pacifica. Will was a great technician to work with. He initially came this past Saturday, but with half the City without power, he wasn’t able to perform any services. He agreed to come in yesterday at 8am, two hours before the first scheduled client so there wouldn’t be any impact on our clients and operations. Before he brought all his equipment in, he laid down a floor covering from the salon’s front door to his work area. He snaked all three wash basins all the way through to the Main, cleaned his work area thoroughly when complete, and got us functioning a half hour before our first client. Will at Works Plumbing Pacifica will always be my first call for any of my plumbing needs!

The 1 star is for the technician showing up at his scheduled appointment. This place is definitely not discount plumbing as the name says. I called for a quote to fix a pipe. The technician came and quoted a price, which is much higher than the other quotes that I had received. He said that he would need to call his manager to lower the price. Ok, great, but don't do it on speaker phone. Not only did I find out what the base rate was (he obviously over-inflated it) but he had authority to discount it up to a certain percentage, which he didn't do. He had to play a game of good cop, bad cop. From then on, they texted and called me everyday until I told them to stop. Not sure if it is because I'm female and he thought that he could pull something over me. My experience was pretty bad.
