I cannot say enough good things about Dan and Andre from VanderHyde Electric. They came out at 4:00 PM for what was supposed to be a simple inspection ahead of my new hot tub delivery. What happened next was a true example of exceptional customer service. Although they were only scheduled for an inspection, they stayed late, went above and beyond, and completely rewired what was needed to ensure everything was set up properly. They even helped get the hot tub connected and operational, working outside in unbearable summer heat without a single complaint. Their professionalism, quality of workmanship, attention to detail, and positive attitudes were outstanding from start to finish. They were knowledgeable, personable, and clearly took pride in doing the job right. Dan and Andre are tremendous assets to VanderHyde Electric and represent the company exceptionally well. Employees like these are hard to find, and they certainly deserve recognition for their dedication and commitment to customer satisfaction. VanderHyde is fortunate to have them on their team. Thank you, Dan and Andre, for an amazing experience!
Gavin was bery patient and respectful. Good guy, explained the costs, options, and even got us installed same day. Dan and Evan came out, did a great job installing the new furnace, explained the new thermostat and made sure to tidy up their work space when done. Absolutely recommend these guys.
We had a great experience with VanderHyde. We called late Friday afternoon and were scheduled right away for Monday morning, which we really appreciated. Bryson was our technician and he was punctual, professional, and very kind. He took the time to explain everything clearly and completed the service efficiently. We would gladly recommend VanderHyde and Bryson to others.
I rarely go online to post about bad service. Twice in the past week, I have been monumentally failed by this company. I set up two appointments, one for a small plumbing repair and one for HVAC service. Both would take less than an hour each. I was given a time window 7 and 10 days in advance that I blocked on my calendar. Last Friday morning I get a call saying that they could not make it due to emergency service elsewhere and had to reschedule. I told them I need the service today so the sale of the property could go through on Monday. They told me they would call me back. I had to call them at 12:30 to find out what was going on. Still no availability or confirmation of service that day. At 4:30 pm, I get a text stating they aren't going to make it and did I want to reschedule. Today I had 10-2 blocked off to meet HVAC service there for a cleaning and filter replacement. On my thirty minute drive to set up camp and wait, I called to confirm my appointment. Sorry, we cannot confirm we will make it there today. There are emergency calls the techs are on. She recommended I go elsewhere and cancelled my appointment. I would have better luck getting ice cream at McDondalds then getting this company to show up for a service appointment. I understand emergencies happen, but lack of communication and no attempt to problem solve is inexcusable. I stopped in on my way k to town and talked with a "manager". He could offer no solutions, only that they can strive to provide better service in the future.
This company is extremely poorly managed and steal from their customers. I was sold some sort of fire system package for $1,140. In total the work was 3 hours, for four smoke alarms to be connected (three of the four already had pulls, the fourth was pulled 8 feet from one of the existing pulls - suggested by them as code - which it is not), connected three light switches and to move one outlet into the wall (about a foot away for an unfinished wall). They used all my material outside of one 8 foot wire and a few face covers for the switches. After the invoice arrived I was appalled that I was sold some sort of "silver EB2C Main Safety First fire detection system renovation" which includes: Hazardous vapor detection system, advance fire/ smoke detection system, install fast action extinguisher, performance and safety testing, and 1 year limited warranty. When I called to discuss with a decision maker (owner or manager at least) they directed me to the tech that installed it (not his fault its the companies process to upcharge people). When I called back they refused to let me speak to anyone who could actually explain to me why I was upsold on some silver package vs an itemized service. This at most should have been $500 and shame on me for agreeing to the pressure when contractor was onsite. However to not discuss this type of behavior with the customer after the fact because they already have my money is a terrible way to do business. Absolute criminals, do not allow these people into your homes. With that said, Dan and Andrea were great. They should start their own company and charge people the honest rate vs some fire protection service package.
