Roto-Rooter Fairfield was extremely helpful, polite, courteous, clean, professional, and hard working. Chris and Marty are the best and did everything they could to fix the issue and keep the price down for us. Thank you very much for everything! They careful explained the problem to us and made sure we understand each step of the way. We have been customers for years and will continue to use this company for any future needs!

Doug went above and beyond what anyone could expect. When no other company would even show up he did and cleared our drain. Me and my family will be forever grateful for the service we got from Doug and roto rooter. Thank you.

About 11pm my kid comes in and wakes me up to tell me bathroom is not flushing and water is in tub.. now! I tried small tricks I know to fix clogged pipes after an hour of that not working. Called Roto Rooter and about 30 minutes later tech Zach calls says he’s finishing a job and can be there in an hour. He gets to my house in about 30-45 min after conversation. Less than 30 minutes after arrival house is flushing like it should. Thank you Zach. Price was expensive but late night emergency callouts are to be expected at this price. Which when I asked around seemed reasonable with after hour plumbing.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to recommend this business to anyone. Given the opportunity to make it right for $75, the owner refused. The first technician was unqualified, leaving the water turned on, resulting in flooding on the bathroom floor. After him not being able to fix it in two visits, a second technician came out, rigged the toilet with shower washers, and tried to charge us again. When he was advised that payment wouldn't be made, he got angry and slammed the door as he left. Interestingly, the second technician who stopped the leak, provided a bill that was $75 less than the first person charged. I was looking to be refunded that amount as what was billed was a ripoff considering their lack of technical skill and the loss of valuable time. I feel that a senior citizen was taken advantage of and now has no recourse and a toilet that still may leak at any moment.

The guy from Roto-Looter wanted $2800 to tell me what was wrong with the gas powered water heater, when a new one costs only about $700 - $800. This is in Fairfield, CA. And he said it will cost an additonal $800 to replace the defective water heater. If I were you, I would avoid them like plague. These guys have no conscience, morals or ethics. If only they could, they would charge you $100,000 to replace the damn water heater. I love these blood suckers. And if you choose them, they will suck every drop of your blood.

We've used Roto-Rooter's services three times now. Once to replace a faucet in our bathroom, once to replace the main water line coming in from the city's 'S meter into the house, and once to replace a leaking faucet and shutoff valve in our kitchen. The water pipe replacement went fine. The faucet replacements not so much. We got the same plumber/tech on both the faucet replacements. On the bathroom faucet replacement he got the handle on backwards and the faucet was off center, so my wife rushed out to get him to come back in to fix the issue. He did and we were fine with it. Fast forward a few years later and we get the same Tech in to do the hands free faucet swap out and valve replacement. He spent about 20 to 30 minutes reading the installation manual and then installed the fixture. He finished the job but couldn't get the sensor to work on the faucet. It did work fine in manual mode. Then asked me which direction the plastic control screw should be turned on the controller that controls water flow to the faucet when the sensor was engaged. The manual said turn the control screw a full turn to the right. He did that and tested the faucet. You could hear the controller click when you waved your hand over the sensor, but no water came out of the faucet. He spent another 20 to 30 minutes working on the controller to get the faucet to work and couldn't get it going. It was late, so we had him stop working on the faucet and operated it in manual mode. He indicated on the receipt that the controller;s sensor was bad out of the box. I went to the Koehler sit to look at their troubleshooting guide, checked all of the wiring and water line connections and they were all correct. I got to thinking about it and thought that the controller might have been set for hands free operation right out of the factory. I went under the sink, took a penny and turned the plastic screw a full turn to the right. Tested the hands free operation of the faucet and it worked just fine in hands free mode. I'll let you draw your own conclusions.

Horrible customer service from Mike, who said he was the owner. Had appointment set for a leak in an apartment building I own, for yesterday 3-5pm. Plumber called an hour later at 6pm to say he'd be there in an hour at 7pm (2hrs late). Then called back to reschedule for the next day stating he just finished a sewer job and was too dirty to go into my tenants apartments. The next day he called on his way there to say it would be $500 to run the leak detection test. This was disappointing because when I originally set the appointment I was told they would give me a free estimate and if I decided to move forward with the repair they would give me an estimate for the work. (This $500 was not to do the repair but needed to be paid just to get an estimate.) I would have paid for the work had I known in advance of their pricing. I own several buildings and have no issues paying for repairs and service. However, Mikes bad attitude was unacceptable. He yelled and spoke over me instead of listening and valuing my business. I felt disrespected. I explained to Mike, that with COVID 19 concerns, they shouldn't have scheduled a plumber to go from a sewer job...into tenant occupied apartments for the very next job. It's unsanitary and not safe! Once they knew the plumber was going to be 2+ hours late and involved with a sewer repair, they should have sent out another plumber. Furthermore, they need to be transparent with pricing. He yelled telling stating he disagreed with me and not to tell him how to run his business. He didn't get it. The owner takes no responsibility and argued back and forth with me. Doesn't know how to effectively communicate to resolve customer issues. Needless to say, I canceled the appointment. This is NOT a company with transparent pricing and the owner has terrible customer service. I'd recommend taking your business and hard earned money elsewhere to a company that values your business, Safety and time.

BEWARE. I've never had this poor of an experience with a plumber. We had an emergency on a Saturday (downstairs bathroom was flooding), and we knew the issue was tree roots blocking our main line (which has to be cleared occasionally, and we had clearly waited too long). Roto-Rooter Fairfield sent a plumber pretty quickly (within a few hours), and he informed us it would be $569 due to the premium they charge on the weekends. But it was an emergency, so we agreed. He told us that would get us 2 hours of his time. He was done clearing the main line in 45 minutes, which solved the problem. BUT, he refused to clean up in the downstairs bathroom (where the flooding happened). I've never experienced a plumbing service where the cleanup was not part of the service (and in Roto-Rooter's case, "Plumbing & WATER CLEANUP" is even in their name). The guy wouldn't budge and refused to clean up. So we called to file a complaint, and they confirmed on the phone that cleanup is definitely part of the service, and they apologized that the job wasn't done correctly. But to make up for it, they only refunded us $56 (10% of the service charge). That is NOT enough when they've admitted that the job wasn't done correctly. NOTE: Their customer service person, Brenda, is an absolute rockstar and she deserves 5 stars for how she helped us, but unfortunately her manager only approved the 10% refund so there was nothing more she could do. So unless you want to pay a huge premium to have only half of the job done, I would avoid Roto-Rooter Fairfield. Terrible service, terrible experience, and crazy expensive. I've used several other plumbers in the Napa area (none of which were available that day, unfortunately), and all have been less than half the price for that same service, plus they actually completed the full job and cleaned up.

Roto Rooter are lying thieves. My kitchen sink was leaking water and it was leaking on the back of my wall.It was ruining my sheet rock.I do not have a lot of knowledge about plumbing. So I called Roto Rooter,I thought because they were so high in price they would probably know what they are doing.Little did I know ,they were horrible. When the plumber came in I specifically told him ,and physically showed him were the leak was coming from.He went under the sink and told me there was a blockage in the dishwasher. So he got a $3:00 dollar part, and put it under the sink.I was relieved that the problem was done. The day I looked at the kitchen and there was water still leaking from the back of the sink.I call the company up and I told them what happened. And the receptionist told me there would not be a charge. The same plumber came out.And I told him the leak was still there. He told me that ,he has a leak detector and it would cost me $800.00 dollars and he could not guarantee that he would find it.I told him I do not have that kind of money. Then he rudely said good luck and good bye.And walked him self out the door.I called his boss and his boss told me that is how they work.I told him that I paid $400.00 dollar for something that did not get fixed. He told me the only thing he could give me is a 10%discount on the leakage.I told him forget it. All the guy needed to do was put in a separate valve so we could shut the water to the dishwasher off independently from the sink. This part was about a thirty dollar angle stop that had two valves coming out of it, one for the sink and one for the dishwasher. Please if anybody had a problem with them call me and let me know.If we all get together we could put these liars back in there place. Here is my name and number (707)812-3793 Kamie.

Terrible experience from start to finish, the tech, when he arrived was the only good thing I have to say about them, he was very polite, and to the point. I called in for Emergency drain clog, I was told I would have to wait till the next day..... what's the point of 24hr emergency service if it's not actually 24hr. I was told a tech would arrive the next day between 2-4pm. At 2:30 I got a call from a service manager to inform me that my call had got pushed from 3-5 to 6-8, so first off that wasn't my original time slot but ok, but now my emergency service call is apparently not important to them because I kept getting pushed back, not to mention I had to call a second time to find out what was going on, and they had no idea who I was.... the tech finally arrived and worked until 9:30pm only to tell me he could not fix our problem, unless he stayed later which they would start to charge me the hourly rate, and he could not give me an estimated amount of time it would take him. So i clearly wasn't going to pay someone to do something that could not give me at least an estimated time frame, I thanked him for his time and sent him on his way. I can handle the fact that they simply couldn't help us, but to say you can't help and still charge someone $335?! I live in Colorado, I was out here to visit my Father, and it's terrible to see business conducted in such a poor manner. In Colorado if someone can't provide the service you are paying for, they don't charge you. That's called good business, Roto-Rooter's business model sucks and so does their customer service. Enjoy getting robbed by Roto-Rooter

My son had come over to help me replace the valves in my bathroom faucets on a Sunday. We started by trying to shut the water off to the sinks by turning the shut off valves under the sink when on of the valves broke off at the pipe and started to leak water badly. My only option was to shut the main water off totally, leaving me without water to drink, shower, brush my teeth and flush toilets. AAAAARRRRRGGGGG!! I tried calling a plumber who wanted over a 1000.00 to fix. I had just used Roto Rooter a week or so prior and gave them a call thinking they would be closed. Ashley picked up my call and was so sweet and nice to me. She said she would make a couple of phone calls and it may be a little bit before she could call me back but she would try to get someone out to fix my broken pipe. Several hours later the phone rings and its Ashley telling me the plumber was on his way. I was ans am so grateful that she kept trying to find a plumber who could fix my pipe and she did! Eric was the plumber she sent. You could not ask for a more efficient plumber. He came in saw the problem and went right to work fixing it in no time at all. Plus while he worked he talked with me the whole time telling me how much he loved doing the work. I felt like I hit the jackpot with these two gems. Have a plumbing issue? Call Roto Rooter Fairfield and ask for Ashley. She will get you the help you need......an excellent plumber Eric!! I'm not calling any other plumbers. I know a great thing when I see it. My mother owns a small 6 room motel. A sink in one of the rooms became plugged up. Unfortunately I wasn't with her at the time so she made the mistake of calling this business. She was told over the phone that the charge to come out would be $270.00 so she accepted those terms as she was desperate to get her tenants sink fixed. To make a long story short, the plumber came out and spent about 45 minutes in the room and charged her $390.00! Personally I consider this elder abuse! This very same company came out a year ago to snake the sewer line, wish she had remembered that. Luckily I was with my mom this time as I was caring for her after surgery. In any case, the plumber showed up, but sat in his truck for a full 15 minutes in the parking lot. Yes we timed him. He then did the job and when he was done he spent nearly a half hour cleaning his equipment with my mothers hose and water! He then presented me with a bill for $530.00. I asked him why he added so much on, he explained that it took him more than an hour. I told him that we noticed that he sat in his truck for quite awhile after he arrived and I didn't think we should have to pay for the time and water he used to clean his equipment. He became belligerent going on about "not dealing with people like you." I was actually afraid at that point, but he ended up taking off the extra charge and left. The mess he left for my husband to clean up was absolutely disgusting! Still looking for an honest plumbing service, this was just sad.

When my shower in the master bathroom wouldn't drain properly & the toilet was bubbling, I called Roto Rooter. They sent someone out who gave me an estimate of $611 to pull the toilet and have a 2nd man to help bring the machine up my steps. Funny now how I thought that was high at the time! Of course being desparate, I scheduled Roto Rooter to come out in a few days. They were supposed to be here at noon but did not arrive until 1:30. He pulled the toilet and proceeded to work on the clog for quite some time until he thought it was clear. He then reset the toilet. Upon coming downstairs I saw that my kitchen sink was now full of black dirty water. The technician then proceeded to use their machine to unclog the kitchen pipes and got it stuck! The clog must have moved as the water did finally go down! They went out to their truck and left for at least 45 minutes without tell me what was going on! When he returned he had a "senior Tech" with him who made him pull the toilet again! Around 6:30 they felt everything was clear so they went out to their truck and tallied up the bill. They presented me with a bill for $1,560!!! I wanted to dispute it but at that point, A contractor friend told me that they should have stood by their original quote or at least met me somewhere between $600 & $1,560! I felt they had me over a barrel. I did pay the full amount but feel they took advantage of me! I will NEVER call Roto Rooter again!

I would give them 0 stars if that was an option. The company's owner refuses to stand behind what his technicians promise, and I was a fool to trust in what people say/promise. I submitted a service request through the RotoRooter's Concord CA website. Some time later I get a call that they can come over that same afternoon and give me a free estimate. When they come, the technician says he has to auger the toilet. I told him I had already done that multiple times, and it would not help. Technician says, he has to do it to get to the next step of giving me an estimate, and if it does not solve the problem, I will not be charged for it. I told him about the $75 coupon that the website had and he says, he can add it later. I sign the service request (stupid me for trusting people). He augers and ofcourse nothing happens. Then he tells me that I need to snake the toilet -- which is what I called them for, and he gives me an estimate that is through the roof (i got it done for half of what he quoted me). I declined the service. Later I get a bill for the augering. I talk to the Manager/owner and he says well they did work on the toilet and have to charge me. I ask them to honor the $75 coupon and they say, "Oh that's concorn, we dont honor that, even though that is where they got their request from). All in all, this is the last time I ever do business with RotoRooter. I would especially stay away from the Fairfield branch of this franchise.

If I could give negative stars I definitely would. I called Monday, for a leak. The city of Fairfield said I must have a leak since my water bill has been outrageous. It's jumped 4 times what I usually spend. The last bill being 1k. I believe his name was Mike, specifically said it's a FREE CONSULT. he said someone would be out Thursday. I work nights so of course I already new I had to adjust my schedule so I would be awake. Thursday came and the dispatcher (Mike) I believe said they would be there within 2 hours. No one came and I stood awake the whole damn day. Then Friday morning comes , Mike apologizes and says the plumber is on his way. The plumber comes within a few hours to tell me the fee to get started is $299 to run a LEAK DYNASTIC! WTF??? Where is the free dynastic at???? So, there was never a free consult! The tech needs approval to start and I must agree to the fee. I'm pissed at this point. I call the dispatcher and he says I must've been mistaken. How am I mistaken when you said.... free consult??? Then the tech comes and says you have a leak. TO SEE WHATS WRONG, TO SEE IF A LEAK IS EVEN PRESENT I MUST RUN A LEAK DYNASTIC! So, basically the dispatcher intentionally gave me false information to get his plumber here and prevent me from finding a cheaper place. If I wasn't on a time frame, I would've canceled. And I pretty sure this dispatcher (Mike) is aware of this!!!! I would never use this company again!
