Eric and his crew came out and did a water mitigation at our house two weeks ago so our home owners insurance plumber can fix a pipe that burst. Eric did a thorough job removing water and adding absorbent as well to make it easy for our plumber. This past week that repair the plumber did failed and we knew who to call for fast friendly service to once again do a water mitigation. Eric and his team. They came quickly and got the job done. I highly recommend Eric for any restoration project you may need.

Jalen, Raul and Andrew did an amazing job at a fair price. They kept us informed and updated with their progress along the way and did everything they said they would do. Thanks again guys and we won’t hesitate to refer our family and friends.

Kelvin was phenomenal. He arrived ahead of schedule. I gave him a break down of the issue. He gave me a step by step of what he was going to do, along with how much each step cost. He was very professional, detailed, and really nice guys. He finished the job and the finished product was exactly what he said it would be. Jeshua was great. Very transparent and honest. Explained the contract thoroughly. He made sure everything I was signing was detailed and explained. Articulate and professional. Both exceeded all expectations and will definitely be doing future business with Roto Rooters.

You took advantage of a senior, ex firefighter, vet, and nice person. $3400 to fix a leak. Replace a piece of copper pipe and valve. Not to mention no response. Filing complaint with chamber of commerce and better business bureau. You should be ashamed.

I would give them a zero if allowed, they did unauthorized work, charged me 325.00, did not give me a receipt for work. I have filed a complaint with better business bureau, google reviews show this tactic of doing unauthorized work is their modus's operandi-/ normal practice. Lots of bad reviews.

I don't write reviews - so if I have to create a Yelp account just to leave a review then take my word when I say this business is shady and unprofessional. First thing - The Technician showed up at my condo an hour after the scheduled time. No apology for being late, and immediately asked if we had dogs because he was afraid of getting bit by one. My girlfriend and I had him come out for 2 reasons: 1. Our garbage disposal has stopped working for some time. We already assumed that it needed to be replaced, but he stated that it was just likely clogged because there was still a buzzing noise coming from the unit when turned on. He says he could "possibly" unclog the disposal and if unsuccessful, would give us an estimate to replace it. 2. We wanted to renovate the only full-size bathroom in our condo as it needed a facelift and we were planning on selling the condo soon anyway. The shower faucet had a small drip that we never fixed since we originally bought the place. We had already ordered a new shower unit and stripped the tub surround so that getting to the plumbing would be easier. As soon as the technician walked into the bathroom and looked at the new shower unit (Still in the box mind you), he told me that the new unit would be incompatible with the current plumbing, even before looking at the plumbing itself. He then decides that he cannot determine an estimate and calls someone (assuming his boss) and proceeds to pull him up on Facetime to show him the unit and the current state of the shower plumbing. Keep in mind that there is still drywall covering the main valve so it would still be hard to determine the job from staring at it alone. The guy on Facetime then proceeds to tell him that they wouldn't be responsible for the drywall, and the whole replacement would be $2500! I address the price with my girlfriend, and in the meantime, he proceeds to go back to the kitchen sink to "unclog" the garbage disposal. After some discussion, we walk into the kitchen to find him sticking what looks to be a crowbar or large screwdriver in the garbage disposal. After about 20 seconds of digging around, a loud "clunk" noise happens, and he sticks his hand in to determine that the garbage disposal is "falling apart". He then proceeded to tell me that it would cost $600 to replace if we bought a new unit beforehand, or $750 if the company had to buy the unit themselves. At this point - We decide we're not paying upwards of $3000+ to have a shower unit and garbage disposal replaced - so we simply ask if he's able to just stop the leak in the shower from happening. He estimates it would cost $700 to install a new cartridge and we reluctantly agree to the price. This is when he begins to work on taking apart the shower handle to get to the cartridge - using a generic multi-tool and wd40. After some time he told me that the cartridge broke while trying to take it out, mainly because the plumbing is old (the place was built in the 70s) and the cartridge was "frozen to the main valve". This is when he tried to tell me that the whole plumbing should be replaced as it would be easier, and essentially tried to sell me on the $2500 replacement. I tell him no, and he crudely puts the handle back together, packs up, and leaves, leaving the mess that was made in the process. A horrible experience. As soon as the technician left I called another company to schedule an estimate. They came out 15 minutes after the phone call, looked at the shower and garbage disposal, and estimated $2150 for BOTH replacements - $1500 for the shower replacement (which included replacing any galvanized steel piping for copper), and $650 for the garbage disposal (which we did not have to purchase ahead of time, and they would also replace the piping with copper). We decided to just have the shower unit replaced at this point. No time wasted, No BS, and we're able to get everything scheduled to be replaced by the next week. Also, for someone who has never had to call a plumbing company before, they sure didn't make it a stress-free experience. I understand now why most people try to do these things themselves. I would rate this company 0/5 if Yelp gave me the option to. Overpriced, unprofessional, messy, and shady.

So, our toilet would not flush so we called them. Response time was good. Long story short, they diagnosed the issue and devised a plan to fix it which included demolition of our front bathroom minus the toilet to include breaking concrete and digging down to the sewer line. This would essentially cut off all other drains inside the house other than the one toilet. Upon digging down they damage was more extensive than originally discovered. This is understandable. Original plan was to demolish the back bathroom as well, the Lead plumber decided to dig under the back bathroom to save it. They did this and repaired the pipe and so far so good. Now, why only two stars? Let's go back to the beginning. To provide a little more information, I am deployed to the Middle East for the Army. My wife is hands long this alone. So, After the diagnosis, the work began. The Roto-Rooter Plumber started working removing the bathtub, which had to be cut in half to be removed, which he did. He Carrie's it through the house and just throws it out the front door onto our patio, yes, THROWS it! Each half, just throws it!! He then proceeds to jackhammer the concrete and then starts digging. He places the concrete and dirt next to the tub he threw and makes two piles. Then the day is over and he's gone. Leaving the tub and dirt (uncovered) and without saying he was done. No communication. Also, he brings his dog to work and asks my wife if he could let his dog use our lawn to relieve himself. Yes, you heard that right!!! He also leaves in the middle of the day (which, for him doesn't start until 9:30 - 10:30 when he arrives) without saying he is leaving and is gone for couple hours and after he returns, is done for the day 30 minutes later. When he leaves, he leaves the bathroom a wreck, dirty, tools everywhere. My daughter was almost impaled by a saw blade he left protruding from a bucket. So this goes on for a few days, the tub sat on our patio until my son-in-law moved it out of the walkway portion so no one cut their leg on the sharp metal edge. Two piles of dirt just sitting there. My wife is so upset, that I fly 11 time zones home because I feel the plumber is disrespecting her by he actions. I get home and the next day the project manager and the lead plumber arrive to assess the situation. I tell them that I flew half way around the world because their employee was disrespecting my wife and my house. They determine that the lead plumber was going to take over the project and I was assured that he would communicate everything to my wife as if she were his wife and how he would expect her to be treated. It took me coming home and complaining about the dirt piles and tub before they finally had someone pick it up. The first few days communication was great. Then I had to fly back with the project still in the works. I am in Dallas on a layover and my wife calls me, frantic. Apparently, the sewer line is replaced and they are beginning to fill the hole. They proceed to pour sand into the hole, well, sand dust goes EVERYWHERE!!! Under doors (into my granddaughter's room), in my kitchen, all over and in the utensil drawer, in the oven, EVERYWHERE! Let me add one more thing, we have large parrots who have sensitive respiratory systems, which we told them about at the beginning of the project. When my waif said something to the worker, he tried to blame the dust on our exhaust fan not working properly...arguing with me wife. Not taking responsibility for his actions. I am sure he wouldn't have done that or acted like that if I was there. But, because a woman was there alone, they felt they could do whatever they wanted. I call the project manager and tell him what is happening and he says he will talk to his guys and they will clean up the mess before they leave for the day...they did not clean a damn thing. Finally, they are done and we need to have another company come out and do the detail work and clean up the dust. Bottom line, I would look for another plumbing company. It is sad that it was the company culture to disrespect a woman.

TL;DR Roto-Rooter is trying to bill us $10k for services we did not sign for or accept and sent a failure to pay notice by COURIER hours after we cancelled the work. TL;DR Update: We finally received an invoice nearly two weeks later, and a representative told me they will be looking into billing issues at this location. ------------------------------- Our plumbing backed up in the middle of the night and this was the only company we could get on short notice. The technicians came out and identified a clog from the house to the street. They told us they could flush it and run a camera then proceeded to sell us on a warranty that would go toward any additional repairs. Being naive and in a panic, my partner and I agreed to the initial inspection and warranty for $1,800. They found that the pipe was completely ruined by tree roots and showed us on the camera to confirm. They went to their truck and came back with a $10,000 estimate for repairs. No paper work. We did not agree to the work, but we did schedule a follow up appointment. My partner ended up moving the appointment out while we got additional quotes to avoid their 3-day cancellation policy. Everyone we spoke to quoted us much lower, including the contractor we scheduled who says it is about a $3,000 job. We called Roto-Rooter twice to request an invoice for the work performed, as promised. The second time my partner cancelled the appointment for repairs. A few hours later someone knocked on the door and handed us a preliminary notice stating that we failed to pay for services provided in the amount of $10,200. I checked our email and 2 hours before the knock on the door we received 2 emails. One billing us for $1,800 for the flush and camera (no warranty mentioned) and another quote for $10,200. Looking at the website, I could see that we accepted the work for $1,800 but the $10,200 was waiting for us to accept. I immediately called Roto-Rooter, and the person who answered told me they would contact the district manager. It is a day later and no one has contacted us. ------------------------------- Update: We were contacted by the initial technician shortly after posting. They have confirmed that we only agreed to the initial $1,800 and stated that we are not being charged $10,200. There was no explanation of why we received a hand delivered notice to pay hours after cancelling our appointment. Technician was very polite on the phone and the night of. No issue with the individuals, but the company billing/commission system seems to be a real issue. ------------------------------- Update 9/22/22: I spoke with a representative who apologized for our experience. I voiced my concerns about the billing process and discrepancies at this location. They offered a discount in exchange for taking down this review. I declined and I am adding that the representative assured me Roto Rooter would look into the issue. I am also noting that we did not receive a bill until 9/21/22 (we did receive two quotes), and it was back dated to 9/10/22. I found no evidence of other email or postal invoice prior to 9/22/22. I recommend using another service until this location addresses these issues.

During my evening shower, the plumbing started to clog up causing the shower pan to overfill, toilet bubble up, and flooding of the back bathroom floor! When this started happening, my anxiety level rose significantly, especially at this time of the evening! My first thought was to call Roto-Rooter because I know my boyfriend (who had recently passed away) would have recommended. When I phoned the company, I was expecting to get a recording stating that they were closed and to call back during business hours. But to my surprise, I spoke to a live person who was very nice and scheduled me an appointment for the following morning which was a Sunday! In the meantime, my bathroom privilege's were on restriction! To my relief, the plumber arrived and quickly determined that my indoor plumbing wasn't the problem, it was the pipes out in the front yard! My shade tree and the shrubs had broken through the underground pipes in two places, filling them with an extensive root system! This must have been going on for a few years until it completely blocked the exit drain! They flushed the lines with high pressure force to clear as much away as possible, followed by a camera inspection into the drain and ground penetrating radar. I got to watch it all happening on the note pad screen. This company went to work all day long taking care of each step needed to get my pipes back into running condition. There were several different technicians coming and going with several different specialty trucks, each having a different job to do! Holes were dug, pipes replaced, and multiple flushes (I'm trying to keep this long story short, but it's hard)! The whole process was extensive, but ended my Sunday with relief and appreciation that Roto-Rooter was there when I desperately needed help! Unfortunately, it wasn't an inexpensive endeavor, but they offer several options to pay including financing, interest free for a year! I have quickly concluded that I'm not a huge fan of chamber pots!

We had Roto router come out today for a clog in our septic 2/13/23. He told us it $375 to remove the blockage to get our flow back, which we of course we agreed to. He started snaking and having us flush all the toilets. No water was coming out the other end. I was hearing loud noises in my basement and went down to see water all over the basement and his snake all over the place, and our pipe separated. We have lived in this house for 10 months now and never had this pipe leak. My husband was in the middle of putting flooring down in the basement and we have always heard water flowing through these pipes no leaks. I called my husband who was upstairs with the employee and sent a picture of the snake downstairs and the water. The roto router employee got very angry at us and said he was done with the job and we have too many issues and it's $375 for him unclogging our septic. We then told him you didn't unclog anything...that was the reason you are snaking right now is to unclog it but the snake isnt able to go through the pipes because its now broken and It's flowing into our basement. He told us we can snake our toilet and that will fix the blockage, I said can you please snake the toilet then because we arent paying $375 to remove the blockage when that was not done. He said he will not bring any equipment into our house or snake anything else as we probably have broken pipes under our house. I dont know if this is true or not, we bought the house 10 months ago with no issues until now with a clog. The clog was not fixed he became very angry and left and said we need to pay $375 for a clog that was not fixed and now we are left with a broken pipe and flooded basement. My husband recorded him and he said we are going to be sent to collections. I would not reccomend this company, this guy was so unbelievably unprofessional/angry/rude. If we are sent to collections I will be contacting BBB and posting the videos.

Eric Adams came out this evening on the same day I couldn't get anyone else out. My water heater was not producing hot water. The unit is old and needs to be replaced, or at least the gas control valve needs replacing. Although he didn't perform a service this evening (my choice), he was patient and willing to explain a few options, showed me where the problem was, and did manage to get my pilot lit again, although there's no telling how long it will stay lit. I chose not to have service this evening because I need to decide what is more cost-effective for me, a new water heater or a new gas control valve. Unfortunately, I have a home warranty company that does not have a contract with Roto-Rooter. They scheduled another company to come out on Tuesday, which was the soonest. RR got to my place within 2-hours after making the call. They were my 3rd call. No one else would come out before Monday and give me a free estimate. It's Friday evening to top it off. My warranty company will likely patch the heater up and not replace it. I have learned that most home warranty companies will do the least amount of work before replacing broken appliances in the home. When I am ready to replace the heater, I may call Roto-Rooter. They may be a little more expensive, but they provide 24-hour service. That makes it necessary to hire many plumbers who must be available at all times of the day or night. Something like that is going to be costly. I am aware of their labor costs. I will factor all of that into my final decision when I purchase a new water heater

Had a plumber come out on short notice to clear up a backed up kitchen sink after we attempted a few DIY solutions that didn't work. The technician showed up and spent nearly an hour snaking my main kitchen line with an auger. He didn't say much to me during the visit. He then told us the line had a lot of build up and it would require a hydro jet service to clear the "blockage". I asked him for a written estimate and he mentioned he needed to speak with his district manager for pricing. After 10 minutes he returned with a verbal quote of $1,760 - no details, no write up. I was shocked and told him that was a big investment and would need to explore other options and get a few quotes. He immediately went into a deep explanation of the service he would provide and how it would be "really good". We had another company come out and the plumber immediately had me join him in using a camera to inspect our lines, showing that there were NO blockages besides some very minor build up in a few spots. He told me hydro jetting was absolutely not required and went on his way without pushing anything on us. I will never use this organization again and will tell everyone I know to avoid at all costs.

I had a huge leak in my kitchen from a broken pipe. I found Roto Rooter on google, contacted them at night and they were at my house the very next morning. Betty the manager was very nice over the phone and sent Eduardo, Megan, and Uriah to do the water restoration. Special thanks To Eduardo for explaining the process from start to finish and helping ease my nerves since I had never had a home issue before. He explained Roto Rooter works for the customer, not the insurance, and he removed all the damaged cabinets and flooring as necessary. Eduardo and his staff set up a containment area, dehumidifiers, moved my furniture, and covered other areas of my kitchen in order to protect them. (They even moved all my plants away from the containment area that way they did not die!) Also, a special thanks to John with leak detection for being patient, kind and communicative with both myself and my home insurance. Besides the broken pipe, he was able to find I also had a sewer line blockage and fixed it right away. I have a family, work full-time, and dealing with this issue was made possible by the awesome Roto Rooter staff. 10/10 recommend.

Our kitchen sink backed up this morning. I tired to clear it with plunging and chemicals. It didn't work. About five years ago Roto-Rooter came here and did some major work and I was very pleased with the company so I called them again. They answered the phone right away took my information and said they would let me know when a 'technician' would be here. They called about ten minutes later saying that Isaiah would arrive in about 30 minutes. The sent me an email with his pix so I would know who was knocking on my door. He came right on time, told me that he had to snake the line from the clean-out... which he did. The clog was cleared and the sink emptied. He then ran a cable with a camera on the end so they could see what the outbound waste line looked like and that it was clear. It was all done in about an hour. Price was $325 which I thought was fair seeing how prompt and professional everyone in the company was in this situation. I'm always happy to pay top-dollar for prompt, courteous, and professional service. I was very pleased and highly recommend them.

Had an issue with a sprinkler valve leaking. Isaac from Roto-Rooter came by to look at it and was able to quickly diagnose the issue. He seemed very knowledgeable and was a very friendly and professional person. However, he had to go call his manager to give me a quote to do a simple sprinkler valve replacement. He then came back and told me it would be $800 which shocked me at how expensive the quote was. I had another plumber come by for a second opinion and he told me that they would do it for $325, but even that was too high and it would be better to just do it myself or have a landscaper do it for much cheaper as it's a very quick and cheap fix. I was able to order the part myself for $25 and then fix it in thirty minutes. I'm pretty upset at the astronomical price gouging by Roto-Rooter. $800 to replace a single sprinkler valve, which consists of a $25 part and less than 30 minutes of labor is ridiculous. I'm still giving them three stars instead of one because Isaac was quick to arrive at my home and he was very friendly and professional.
