“Had a drain emergency on Christmas eve. A call to Roto Rooter assured me a tecnitian could be at my door within forty-five mins. A nice looking and very friendly tech arrived right on time and cleared the clog in less than ten mins. Saved the day for my family.”

“Roto Rooter has always been able to clear out pipe clogs when they happen in my older house. Their prices are fair and they perform quality work. The dispatchers and technicians are always friendly and knowledgeable. I also had a leaky toilet fixed quickly as well. They don't try to add in unnecessary work either.”

Yelp: crew severed gas line during sewer excavation and did NOT notify homeowner — gas leaked indoors with animals inside for 2+ hours before anyone was told.
“On 2/21/20 I had Roto Rooter replace my sewer line due to clay pipes with root damage. The first thing they did was cut the gas line to my house and my neighbor's house when digging. I do not care if it was their fault or the company's fault that marked the lines. The problem I had was that no one from Roto Rooter notified us that this happened. The only way we found out was from our neighbor. Gas was leaking in my house with animals inside and no one bothered to tell us at Roto Rooter.”
National call center scheduling failures: Yelp reviewer's 80-year-old mother rescheduled to 3AM slot for a non-working tech — never showed, left without water.
“Horrible experience with Roto-Rooter & never even got any service done. Called on a Friday morning since my 80 yo mother who lives out of state in SC & had no water due to water shut off to house due to bad washing machine valve. The tech called at 9:30pm to say he could come over. She was asleep. I rescheduled for the next day. No one contacted. I called about 2:30pm & the local office told me that when I had called to reschedule & got the national # they rescheduled her for 3am for a tech that was not even working.”
