Pete & Noah
Pete did a great job of quickly removing our old copper tubing from the old fridge and connecting our new fridge with a braided tubing. He was on time and very fast.
Pete and Noah were fantastic. Will definitely use again.
The value of 2 stars is they did a free estimate. Their lack of 3/4/5 stars is due to their lack of effort. My problem was that I had warm water coming from my cold side faucets on my 2nd/3rd floor. Their two colleagues that inspected my place spent less than 10 minutes in my house. They heard my problem, walked up and down and saw all of my fixtures, but didn't really listen to me. They told me I would have to remove the drywall from behind every sink, bathtub, shower, etc. Then they verbally estimated $15-18000. They took my information, including email. They also admitted that after their repair, I would require someone to close the holes in the wall. I sough a second opinion and scheduled a 2nd Chicago plumber. Concurrent to this I sought the advice of my Uncle, also an Ohio plumber. With 2h of listening to me, walking up and down my house, and looking at my fixtures, he identified the suspect fixture. It took me some time, closing the other sinks and showers, but he was right. Ultimately I replaced the bath faucet that was the source of the problem. After doing so my problem was solved. I think this business is motivated by big projects. I'm not sure if they bid me high because they didn't think the actual solution was worth their time or money; I asked several other plumbers for estimates, and at least the others told me it wasn't worth their time. I think the fact that they asked me to remove my walls and for $15-18k was BS, especially considering the ultimate solution was valued at my time and the replacement of a faucet ($200-2000, if you go from the cheapest to the most luxurious option). Their plan included wrecking my home. I'm not sure if they were bidding me high to dissuade me from their services, or trying to take advantage of me, but regardless, this was a problem that they overbid by 10x the cost.
Worst company ever! Do not call this place. I have a broken faucet, request a plumber from here, give me a diagnosis of replacing the faucet for $665 plus material cost. Called another plumber, charged $80 and finished the work in about 20 minutes.
Vince came within a few hours to unplug a laundry sink drain. He was professional, efficient, and friendly. He explained two solutions, one quick but, he warned, possibly not enough, and one more extensive. Fortunately the first solution worked—for now. He was very clear about the possibility that it was a temporary fix and showed me why. He analyzed the direction, angles, and material (galvanized iron or PVC) of the pipes from laundry to outside and offered a solution and estimate of cost. He took his time to make sure I knew my options. He was clear, credible, fast but not rushed, and friendly. I would hire him again in a flash to work on the 100-year-old plumbing in this house.
Pete and Noah were great professionals. They came for a leak inspection and noticed that all the plumbing seemed to be in great shape. They figured some water must have went down a vent and that is what caused the water stains we were seeing. All the plumbing was bone dry. They were honest and only charged for opening up the ceiling when they could have easily lied about the issue to charge us more. Pete was also super fast. He came the day after we called even though he had a booked schedule. He is also super professional. They brought their 9wn tarp and made sure to fold it in a way that would not cause any mess. I can't recommend Pete and Noah enough.
My husband and I called rescue plumbers to look into a potential clogged drain under our stacked washer/dryer unit. We were initially told someone would be out same day between 10-1 and then they had to reschedule because they would need a dolley to move said washer/dryer. We called back to confirm only to find they completely cancelled our request. After making a new one we were told someone would be coming out between 4-6. No one came during that time. They eventually game around 8pm.. with no dolley!! They told us it would cost $800 alone to move the W/D without doing any work. Needless to say we went with another company. Do not recommend.
Disclosing for ethical purposes that this is a paid review although I was going to leave one anyway. I got a quick response and an appointment set up the next day for a non-emergency kitchen sink leak. Logan and Djenkis came to help and were very professional, prompt and respectful. Logan explained that the leak is due to the garbage disposals age/quality and the drain pipe cracking and leaking. They changed everything in a timely manner with no issue. They also explained everything to me, including the fact that they used an expensive, quality disposal because of its reliability. The total was $620.
I highly recommend Rescue Plumbing. I hired them to plumbing work for a bathroom rehab in my Rogers Park high rise condo. Loga and Djenkis did a great job. Not only was their work impeccable, they were also professional, respectful of my home and were very patient answering my questions. The office staff are also awesome! They charge by the job not by the hour and the final cost was right on. If you are looking for a plumbing company for a job large or small - This is the company to use!
Editing up to a 3 star for now. The company called and is doing their best to rectify the issue which I appreciate so much! I will edit the review again once the leak if solved once and for all! They came promptly which was nice, however the service cost to our bath faucet was over $300 and the sink was leaking again a few hours later worse than before they “fixed it”. There was no guarantee on their work so they would charge the full fee again to check it. I will not be calling them again.
We had a great experience with Rescue Plumbing. Making an appointment is easy because their admin staff are super organized. Both times we were able to get someone to come out within a day. The guys that came and installed our new sump pump were incredibly nice and professional. They emailed us options to fix our problem with price estimates, which made everything really clear and easy. Everybody at Rescue is so friendly! We highly recommend.
There is no consistency in how they charge. One team came to our house, inspected the problem and said we need to replace our kitchen faucet. They quoted 375 the replacement. We had to go buy a new faucet and schedule for another day. Then a different team came two days later and asked for 700+! For a kitchen faucet replacement? In what world??
Logan was fantastic to work with. Very responsive, professional, and accommodating. My tenants did not have a working shower and Logan offered to come in on his day off to fix the issue. I would highly recommend Logan and Rescue Plumbing for any plumbing needs. The office staff was very friendly and helpful as well! Thank you again!
Pete and Noah were amazing. I highly recommend asking for them when you call in. We had a complicated issue with a drain blockage that solved by going through a kitchen. They not only showed us what the issue was in our building but walked us through preventative services we can do. Very knowledgeable, personable, and friendly.
