Mitch and his technician in training did an absolutely wonderful job. They communicated the proposed work up front and kept us posted throughout the service call. There was a hiccup in the scheduling process as the first tech assigned to the job did not show up. When we called to check/confirm his arrival time they did not know that tech was reassigned. If we hadn’t have called we would have never known. Fortunately Mitch was available and assigned to our job. The app still showed the first tech arrival time which was unsettling as we were not convinced the second tech was coming.

I called for and emergency drain backup, which destroyed my drywall and carpet . The Technician “Eddie” was there in about four hours coming from a customer who was way south, he looked at the situation and determined the blockage down stream I showed him the utility room for the building where he setup his equipment the ridding pilled back roots and then was cleared. Quickly and efficiently fixed the drain problem.

Roto Rooter always great. Fast, reliable service. My technician, Sanin is fabulous. I always ask for him. Thank you, Sanin and thank you Roto Rooter. Roto Rooter has also replaced sump pumps, cleaned a flooded basement and restoration services were top-notched.

It is hard to be pleased with a service, when they charged us over $900 and did not do anything. I can understand delays as we were told the technician would arrive between 4:00 and 5:00pm. After 5pm we began receiving text messages from Latoya saying that our tech was running behind but that we were next in line. 6 text messages later, the tech arrived around 7:45pm. After inspecting our clogged drain he said there was nothing he could do at that time but could call another service tech who had access to a camera. That tech came around 8:45, ran the camera tube into the pipe and said they could not clear the clog, but that we needed an outdoor access pipe installed which would involve digging a 6 foot deep trench, fixing a pipe and installing an access point in the front yard. He quoted us a price of $12,000. I told him we needed to get a 2nd opinion. He gave me the number of his friend "Juan" who he said could probably do the job for between $8,000 and $9,000. He then charged us $900 for the service call. We called a different plumbing company the following day who said that the quote of $12,000 could be considered attempted sexual assault because we almost got screwed and the new plumbing company did the exact same job (dug the trench, fixed the outside pipe and installed an access point in the front yard) for just under $6,000. I completely understand the delay and techs get backed up with jobs, but charging $900 for a service call to tell us they couldn't fix the problem was highway robbery. UPDATE 2.17.2026 I received a phone call from a district manager who was amazing. He was both professional and a problem solver who is working to secure a refund of the $900 service fee. He said that Roto-Rooter does not charge a service fee if they do not fix the problem. He said he would work to ensure that customers were treated fairly and again, he was extremely communicative and professional. I am extremely happy how this has been handled.

I called the first company I googled for a hose faucet replacement. I'm not in any hurry just want a quick fix and I know it will be a simple fix. He came on time and was more than happy to help. He told me up front it's a $1295 flat fee and I that right away that is astronomical for what I'm asking to fix. He told me that it includes everything parts and labor. No special fees. The repair man was here at my residence maybe 20-30 mins. He installed it crooked by a few degrees and used white caulk all over to seal it. Keep in mind my house is red brick, so I was not happy that he didn't have different caulk or offered to go get different caulk, especially for that price. He did however fix the install to be perfectly upright but then he did not use screws to fasten it to the brick. He stated he used a lot of caulk so let it settle and it shouldn't move that much. Overall I'm happy that I have a new faucet and I beyond upset at how much he charged and didn't tell me about any coupons or even a cheaper company for such a small job. I would not recommend this company unless you have maybe a bigger job.

Douglas is excellent - extremely knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and thorough - and generous with his time over the phone, offering some great advice and saving us a lot of money. We had a plumber from a different service out in the middle of the night who was very gloom and doom about the thousands of $$$$ we would need to spend to prevent an issue from happening again. I spoke with Douglas from Roto-Rooter the next morning, and he patiently and knowledgeably talked me through prevention in the future through general maintenance actions, while sharing why it was not worth taking any plumbing action at this time. Definitely keeping Roto-Rooter's information and appreciate Douglas's knowledge and integrity through willingness to help someone and save them money even though it meant we didn't need their services. They will be my next go-to for any related issues.

What started as a nightmare ended up being one of the most pleasant experiences I've ever experienced in the service industry. A young man by the name of John in your employment arrived at our residence at appointed time. He was very professional, and knowledgeable as he inquired about the existing work to be done. He then explained the entire process and what to expect. He went to work and before we knew it, he had completed the job, cleaned up after himself and informed us he would be back shortly to go over the paperwork with us, leaving no questions unanswered. This gentleman is a dedicated, professional and highly qualified employee. Make sure you don't let him get away. A DEFINITE ASSET AND GREAT REPRESENTATIVE OF YOUR COMPANY. I know what I am saying about this man because I am a 40+ member of local 399. Kevin Jones

After attempting for several hours to clear a clogged toilet, I gave in and contacted Roto Rooter. Their service tech, Patricio arrived in less than an hour, on a Sunday to boot. He was extremely friendly and professional. Before entering he made sure to cover and wipe his boots, as well as laying down plastic tarp to keep the bathroom as clean as possible. After less than an hour Patricio was able to unclog the toilet revealing a large wad of paper stuck inside the drain pipe. He was kind enough to make sure the problem was completely solved before he left while also cleaning up as much as he could. Next time I have a plumbing issue I'll be sure to contact Roto Rooter asap instead of wasting countless hours attempting it myself.

I have my drain rodded out yearly by Roto-Rooter, they came out on 10/8/25 rodding the drain and then asked for an additional person to come out with a camera. This other guy claimed I needed to have a liner put in the drain at a cost of $7200 or if I let it go, it could cost me as much as $20,000 and claimed I only had a 2 inch opening to the house. I brought in a real plumber who told me the drain had way too many roots in the drain, he rodded it again and said that he could now see the entire opening and it did not need a liner. I wasted $625 on an incomplete job from Roto Rooter in addition to the cost of another plumber. Save your money steer clear of Roto Rooter they are as crooked as Illinois politicians.

A week where the toilet (sewer line) AND the kitchen sink backed up. RR was able to send people out quickly, which was much appreciated. But the guy who rodded out the kitchen sink charged us $650 for 45 min work (he tried to get $795 first). WHAT?? We think that's utterly ridiculous. That's almost as much as the guy who had to remove the toilet and use the monster rodding rig to clear the sewer line, which took him at least 90 minutes. We feel ripped off. A week later: we were contacted by roto rooter. They defended their business model, but gave us a $100 refund. I give them props for the professional way they responded to our review.

Marc arrived sooner than expected and resolved my toilet backup issue in an expedient and professional manner without making a mess saving me $200 in the process given he was able to remove the plastic comb obstruction while using a wet/dry vac to siphon the toilet bowl without having to pull tbe toilet. Being a baby boomer born in 1949 and retired/former self-employed building construction consultant and PCA specialist for well over 30 years, on a scale from 1-10, I give Marc a 12 for his professionalism, integrity, and overall job performance in which event Roto Reuter is fortunate to have Marc as an employed.

Eddie arrived within an hour of me calling with a main line kitchen clog issue. Super impressive! I wasnt expecting that quick of a response. Eddie was professional, nice and respectful. The estimate was free and only once he diagnosed the issue he gave me a pricing quote to fix now or later if I prefer. He fixed my clog issue while clearly explaining to me what he was doing. He was very transparent and professional throughout the entire process and if I ever need plumbing help in the future I will make sure to reach out to him!

We had an emergency situation, with a broken sewer line in 3 places. RR came out the following day. Had the job assessed, J.U.L.I.E out to mark the lines, and the job completed within the day. The following day the inspector came and approved the work done. The job was expensive, I did not shop around (no time). BUT for speed and peace of mind. Well worth it. It was a one stop shop! Everyone was professional and very helpful especially in a stressful situation. This was very recent, so hopefully it will stand the test of time.

I was experiencing a nasty blockage in my kitchen sink. The water wouldn’t drain and the pipes were clean 25 feet down. I called Roto-Rooter and a helpful expert named Leonard was able to see that the blockage was further down the pipe. After explaining what he found to me, he got to work and had the blockage cleared in about 15 minutes. Afterwards, he gave me helpful advice on how to keep my pipes clear so I don’t run into the same issue again. If I do, I will be sure to contact Roto-Rooter for help.
