We called Reliable Plumbing about an issue we were having with the pedestal sink faucet in our bathroom and John from Reliable came out to check out the problem and after he was finished he found several additional issues with the sink and we decided to remove and replace it with a new vanity sink which we agreed on after he explained the other issues he found with the original sink... John was very professional, knowledgeable, and a nice guy, he also explained everything he was doing and he even replaced the two shut off valves for the sink which were very old and after he was finished with the installation it looked beautiful. Oh and I forgot to mention that John was even nice enough to help us pick out the new vanity.We would definitely recommend and use Reliable Plumbing again.

John and the team at Reliable Plumbing are professional and knowledgeable. They resolved a stubborn kitchen sink drain clog that was too far down the pipe for me to access and now it drains like new. Thank you Reliable Plumbing!

Just had Reliable out to fix a leak under my kitchen sink, and they were AWESOME!!! Super friendly and easy to talk to, the plumber showed up when he said he would (which was not too long after I called!), and got the issue diagnosed quickly. He explained what was going on in a way that actually made sense, and the whole thing was fixed way faster than I expected. No trying to upsell you or use a ton of jargon so you don’t even know what you’re paying for. No mess left behind either, which I really appreciated. You can tell they actually care about doing a good job. 10/10 highly recommend Reliable Plumbing!!!

UNETHICAL business practices. Hired to rod sewer line then stopped an hour in and said we needed $1000s of dollars of digging and repair work. Guaranteed there was absolutely no way to rod the line sucessfully, and said the line was unserviceable. Demanded payment though job was not completed, problem not resolved. The next plumber we hired less that 24 hrs later was successful in 1/2 hour. Owner of Reliable said "We are done" and HUNG UP the phone on me when I called to discuss what happened and inquire as to how their professional recommendation could be so off.

Had this guy replace my two outside sillcocks. He also did a relocation of one of the sillcocks. This was $950, his quote that I didn't argue with, but should have. He said his work and parts were guaranteed for one year. Four months later one of the sillcocks won't push a simple sprinkler. Is this his fault? After telling me to "f**k off "and that I was "full of sh!t", you'd think I was accusing him. I mean before I was even able to describe the entire situation, which clearly points to one of the two being bad, he was swearing at me and hanging up the phone. WORST CONTRACTOR IN HISTORY. I've dealt with good and bad people and this guy is the definition of crooked contractor. GET ANYONE ELSE. This guy is a liar, very expensive and doesn't stand behind his work. He is a crude excuse for a human and I can't imagine how this plumber could ever be a good idea. This business is not accredited with BBB. No mystery why.

"Reliable Plumbing & Sewer Service" was reliable all right. They graciously fit me into their busy schedule after our Chicago -50* last week, but not without price gouging me! When John arrived at the front door on Feb. 4, 2019, before hardly introducing himself, he told me it would be $650.00 to walk in the door. Without even looking at the job and tho I never asked for emergency service. I explained my very sick, 80 yr old parents heat broke, pipes froze, and one burst. I had to move them out till this was all repaired and they couldn't afford the weekend emergency prices everyone was charging, so we waited until Monday. Tho those prices were less than what he was charging. He told me, "You should have gone with them." (Nice) I proceeded to explain that my father was going thru dialysis, radiation, and chemotherapy. That he was so sick and he just wanted to come home, and that I needed help. John's response was that he could just leave, he had many jobs, it didn't matter to him. That I could just call someone else. Take it or leave it. Promising my parents that I would get them back home ASAP, I paid the $650.00 for a 4" copper pipe to be fixed. A job that took John less than 45 minutes. After replacing a small piece of pipe and turning water back on, John walked thru the house checking faucets. Tracking mud, dirt, and God knows what else on his boots, thru the house, bedroom, and all over new white bathroom rugs. Leaving me a wonderful mess to clean up when he left. I am appalled at the arrogance and the taking advantage of, horrible situations people are in. The lack of compassion was disturbing. To John and "Reliable Plumbing", all I can say is "Karma". We have been using Reliable Plumbing in the Mokena area for years. John has always done good work and honored his work within reasonable expectations. I was shocked to see some of the negative reviews seeing as though we have had only good experiences using this company. I think unfortunately people tend to leave reviews when they feel they have had a negative experience and are less likely to leave positive ones unfortunately. But I am here to tell you, John is an experienced plumber who will give you good service and is always upfront about costs. Of course there will be a fee for an estimate, as he is traveling to you and spending his time to come and address your problems. This is a locally owned, honest company and to assume there wouldn't be a service call fee is a little naive.

Used this company in the past, but will NEVER call this company again. Called at 9:30 in the morning and kept getting put off, told that John would call us, at 3:00 in the afternoon he finally called back. Said he didn t want to go into our crawl space to deal with our sump pump issue, funny though they claim they repair these issues. Argued with my husband then said he would call us back in a few minutes to let us know if he was coming out. When John did finally call back he left a message and said he could come on Saturday! We needed emergency service that day not on Saturday. This company is a joke, they claim no job is too small, they left us hanging all day, they could have just told us no from the beginning and we would have called someone else.

Complete scam. Guy comes out to look at the sillcock for me...possibly replace..told they would give me an estimate first..which is all I needed...he tells me the part is $400 by itself..I tell him I had purchased the part from Home Depot for $22.00..tells me his part is better..seriously? Does it make you breakfast and predict the future? Cause it better for that price! I tell him I can't afford that...he hits me up for a $45 service call I knew nothing about nor was I told about. I call the office to complain and the lady gives me nothing but attitude and actually hung up on me...this company will reliably screw you over...

I had such a positive experience with Reliable Plumbing & Sewer Service Inc. when my water heater’s flammable vapor sensor kept acting up. After trying to reset it on my own a few times, I reached out to them for help. From the start, they were so kind and thorough. Not only did they diagnose the problem, but they also helped me get a replacement part through the manufacturer’s warranty, which saved me a lot of money. The team replaced the part quickly, and now my water heater is working perfectly again. I really appreciated how professional and attentive they were throughout the whole process. definitely recommend!

This is the second time we have had Reliable Plumbing out to our home for two different issues and they are great. I called them on a Saturday because our sump pump was backing up into our kitchen sink and downstairs toilet. They came that day and fixed it. Before fixing it he took me into the crawl space and described in detail the issue we were having and what needed to be done to fix it. They were nice, efficient, and definitely reliable. Would absolute recommend and will call them again.

I was referred to Reliable plumbing by a neighbor who had a good experience. Contacting the company & scheduling an appointment was quick & easy. The plumber arrived on time, as promised. John "diagnosed" the problem with my outdoor water spigot & promptly corrected the problem. I was happy with his services & glad to be able to resume watering my flowers! They were a pleasure to work with. Very knowledgeable and handled my plumbing issues quickly and effectively. John took his time to explain what needed to be done and then completed the work at the price that was quoted. They actually took time to come out and look at the issue before they actually gave me a quote. I was really impressed with the time and explanations that they gave for what was happening. I had John/Reliable Plumbing & Sewer Service perform several jobs at my house over the last year (new garbage disposal, basement sump pump and water heater). Completely satisfied with the work performed and have them in my contact list for any future plumbing/sewer work I need to have done. Would 100% recommend. Good communication on work to be done, shows up when he says he will, quality work and full cleanup when finished.
