When my elderly Mom had water all over her bathroom floor in Highlands Ranch, I needed a plumber fast. Living and working over an hour away, I called for help and spoke with Leonard. He arrived within the hour, fixed the leaky valve, and even sent me a photo of the repair when it was done. While he was there, Leonard noticed her old toilet was causing problems too. He worked with me over the phone and by text to find a new toilet that fit her needs and budget. Within a week, he had everything sorted out for her. Leonard made the whole process easy, sending me pictures and the invoice by text so I could stay in the loop from a distance. He was on time, tidy, and very friendly—my Mom felt comfortable with him in her home. Service was quick and professional. I would highly recommend Leonard for anyone needing plumbing help in Highlands Ranch!

i needed help fixing some leaking pipes at my house and was tired of paying high prices to big plumbing companies and seeing a different plumber every time. so, i searched online for a local plumber in my area with good reviews and wanted to support a small, family-owned business. i was really happy when leonard and his son came out to give me an estimate. what i liked most was that you always get leonard himself on every job, so you don’t have to worry about new people coming to your home each time or dealing with someone who might not have a lot of experience. it’s always the same faces, and they make sure to do the work right. leonard is very friendly, professional, and his prices are much more affordable than the larger companies i’ve tried before. he stands by his work and really cares about his customers. he was always on time, very responsive with phone calls, texts, and emails, and explained everything in a way i could understand. now, i’ll only be calling leonard for all my plumbing needs. he and his son are great people, their work is top quality, and their prices are fair. i can see why they have such high ratings. if you call leonard once, you’ll never need to look for another plumber again!

Our hot water heater stopped working, so we woke up to only cold water in the morning. From the very first call with the receptionist, who greeted us warmly, to Theodore's inspection and then Angel helping with the installation of our new hot water heater and getting rid of the old one, everyone was extremely friendly, skilled, quick, and professional. The whole process was smooth, and we had hot water for showers again by the end of the day. We are so happy with the plumbing service and will definitely call them again for any plumbing needs in Highlands Ranch. Absolutely top-notch!

I had a really disappointing experience with Tipping Hat. We purchased their two-year "no breakdown guarantee" furnace rejuvenation service, yet our furnace failed barely a year later. That guarantee turned out to be useless as the cost for it was only to be applied to future services with them, which their prices were double the price that every other company estimated. On top of that, it took them several days just to come out and take a look even after expressing serious concern because it was cold outside, our furnace stopped working, and we have a baby in the house. When they finally arrived, they showed up with both a technician and a salesman who came across as extremely pushy. The whole interaction felt more like a sales pitch than actual help. I felt like I was being scared into purchasing more than what we needed for the house and current age of our HVAC systems. In addition, both gentlemen spent the entire sales pitch talking down to me as my husband was at work and they must have seen me as a damsel in distress-- I understand that I don't know much about HVAC, but we've worked with other HVAC companies (that ended up with our business) who never belittled or condescended me as a sales tactic. I don't need an HVAC technician to tell me to "breathe", I need them to fix what is broken for a reasonable price and do so respectfully. Given the inflated prices, slow response time, and uncomfortable pressure tactics, I strongly advise against using Tipping Hat for HVAC services.

Not ever going to use these Guys again. I needed my kitchen sink snaked and the repair Guy had it done quickly and easily. Nice Guy too but then I was having some issues with what I thought was my main drain. They came by and had to scope sewer line. Ended up giving me an estimate and telling me I needed a whole new sewer line that would cost me about $20,000!! But they will finance me. I got a 2nd opinion and line is just fine. Not too sure why they told me what they did and I feel totally taken advantage of!

Monday before Thanksgiving -- Emergency sewer line clogged. Raw sewage seeping up in basement shower and utility room. Called several plumbers -- 4-5 told me they were busy and could come in 7-10 days -- unacceptable. Tipping Hat said they could send someone out that day. Zack showed up. He diagnosed the problem expertly. He tried to snake or use the cable in my main sewer line. Repeatedly -- could not get through my clog. Called his supervisor, Kodiac who came out in short order. He used the camera to help determine what we were up against. Using their technology of camera and water detector, they traced the main sewer line and figured out the location of the blockage. Good news -- they figured it out. However, bad for me, the solution meant excavation and a major expense. Kodiac provided options and alternatives and explained that all landscaping would be replaced so that when they were finished the outside would look just like before. I picked one option and we scheduled the "dig" team for the next afternoon. About 7am, I got a phone call, one of their dig teams was available, could they come now -- Hell yes. Come on - I'm goanna need to flush toilets sometime soon! So Tipping Hat dug out a 4' hole in my back yard, broke through a 70-year-old clay sewer pipe, installed a temporary plastic pipe so we could use water in the house and put-up safety measures over the excavated hole. With the holiday, they promised to return on the following Monday. The next week, the first thing, their dig crew is back and hard at work putting in a clean out valve and filling in the hole. Then they worked on landscaping, while the supervisor kept telling me, they were not professional landscapers, his team would not stop until they made it near perfect. (I had a 4' concrete slab that had to be replaced and leveled. Nice job team. So what I appreciated -- Tipping Hat made my emergency -- their priority. Yes, it was expensive, yes it was a lot of hard work in a holiday week, everything done by a professional, knowledgeable group.

Theodore from Jude & Sons Plumbing was absolutely amazing and a tremendous help! I engaged his services to remove and replace a bathtub. It might sound like a straightforward job but it turned out to be quite a hefty task. This was due to the bathtub being made of incredibly heavy cast iron, likely from a bygone era, and the bizarre plumbing setup from the previous installation. The entire project demanded a lot of effort from Theodore and his assistant, Leonard, to the point I felt somewhat guilty for drawing them into this ordeal. The bathtub needed to be sawed into pieces to be removed, requiring them to navigate my crawl space to ensure complete removal. Furthermore, the entire plumbing system behind the shower wall needed refurbishing. Theodore took care of this, then went the extra mile by fixing the pipes or valves so that the hot and cold water could be regulated from a single knob instead of two. He also lifted the shower head, which required additional work due to the lack of support inside the wall. He had to insert a 2x4 inside the wall and purchase a special pipe attachment. Despite the extra labor and materials, he did not alter the initial quoted price. I admit I'm not an expert in plumbing, so there's a chance I could have been overcharged without realizing it. However, I'm confident this wasn't the case. I had obtained quotes from various companies and also sought advice from a friend's father who flips houses. The consensus was that Theodore's prices were in line with industry standards, and he just happened to be available immediately. I'm truly grateful that things panned out as they did because Theodore was a godsend. He was punctual, polite, patiently answered all my queries, and was happy to go the extra mile. I also never felt uncomfortable having him in my home in Highlands Ranch as he was a genuinely friendly person. All things considered, Theodore did an outstanding job, and I strongly endorse Jude & Sons Plumbing for all your plumbing needs.

I hired Tipping hat to perform a clean out of a furnace system on a home that I had purchased. I knew that the furnace and water heating system were old. I also don't have AC in the house and was wanting to get quotes on the water heater, AC install, and furnace. They did perform the job that I asked, which was a full cleaning of the furnace system. Two techs came out. One was Mitchell. Mitchell was really nice and personable and I liked him quite a bit. I can't recall the name of the other tech. He was nice as well, but was definitely more of the "sales guy" of the crew. They told me that the furnace was old and in need or replacement (will likely go out within a year). They also told me the water heater also needed to be replaced. That it would fail sooner than later. During the clean out of the furnace system, they did show me components of the system and told me what was failing or aging, However, it was hard to tell if what I was seeing was truly signs of wear or not. I don't know this field and so I had to take them for what they told me. What I thought was strange or questionable, was their estimate was not broken down. I could not tell by line item, what they were charging for parts, labor, materials, etc. They just had different packages and what the total cost was, and what the packages included. Although its nice to see that information, it seems a company is trying to hide the markup or what they are making on these system replacements if they wont break it down. As a consumer they should be providing this information. Because of this, I am having the water heater installed by another vendor. I will deal with the furnace if/when it gives out. Like I said, Mitchell was awesome. The other tech was nice as well, and they did what I asked them to do. Just don't like the company for trying to conceal the true costs of their work by not providing a line item breakdown of charges.

This could easily have been a 5 star review. They did the work that they were hired to do in a timely manner at a fair price. However, they did permanent damage to my home in the process. I had new carpet installed a few weeks ago. This was not off-the-rack carpet; I worked with a good contractor to have it custom cut and installed so that there were no seams except in a couple of doorways, under floorplates. Very sadly, just a couple of weeks after it was installed, I discovered that I had significant pipe damage under the concrete floor and under that brand new carpet! We called Tipping Hat as we have used them in the past and were very impressed. They were great again about getting to us quickly, breaking the news gently and repairing the whole thing in less than 2 days. After they left, I discovered that TH had cut through the carpet rather than rolling it up and out of the way and left a large, jagged slice in the hallway. Fortunately, our carpet guy is a magician and got it pieced back together, but that seam is going to wear regardless. When I pointed this out to TH, I was offered an apology and the explanation that the "only" other option was to move "everything" (boxes, bins, furniture, etc) that was still waiting to be put away after the carpet installation. Had I known what they were planning I would've either rescheduled them and had the stuff moved, and/or had my carpet installer come to explore best options. I later discovered that TH had also cut through the carpet in a doorway in a way that cannot be repaired. Taking a minute or so to remove the floor plate and cutting under it rather than alongside it as they did would have prevented this. I have since discovered that there was also another cut in a closet, but at least it's out of sight and I'm not trying to be petty. Do better, Tipping Hat

On March 26th, I had an appointment with an electrician to replace three outlets and one porch light. I provided all the parts. The first quote I received was $448.00. I asked if this was with the $53.00 discount that was advertised on the website. When I made the appointment, I was told the discount would be conveyed to the electrician. It wasn't. The $53.00 was adjusted which brought the bill to $395.00. Later on, I started thinking about the price. I called Tipping Hat and requested an itemized statement. I could not reconcile the prices I had been charged as the outlets should have been $59.00 each. I was told the trip fee of $49.00 would not be waived, even though the Tipping Hat electrician who had previously been to my home had waived the trip fee because I had my own parts. The person who answered at Tipping Hat told me an itemized statement had to be ordered and I would get it in an e-mail in a couple of days. Instead of getting an itemized statement, I received a call. Whoever called left a message and I was to call back. I called back and of course, no one answered. I left a message stating I didn't want a call, I wanted an itemized statement. I requested again that it be sent. Today is April 3, and I still don't have the itemization. I highly doubt that I will ever get it, even though I received three text messages and two e-mails wanting me to give feedback on my visit. My bill was $395.00, minus $177.00 for the outlets, and $49.00 for the trip fee, which leaves $169.00 for replacing the front porch light. This is a ridiculous price. I think there are some shady pricing tactics going on. Yes, it's my fault for not asking when the electrician was here, but it won't happen again because I will never hire Tipping Hat again.

I had a main drain backup. Flush the toilet and water comes out the pea drain the the basement. This happens every six years in early spring, like clock work. I called Tipping Hat at 9am and the very courteous woman that answered set me up for a window from 11 to 1. Ten minutes after 11, TH was on scene. An extremely pleasant tech named Brandon knocked on the door and introduced himself. I walked him to the basement and he got to work. This man was as polite and professional as I've dealt with in some time. He wore show protectors and did a great job respecting my house. He ran a camera down my drain but since it was full of water, the view wasn't very good. His supervisor, Julio, came in to help. They power snaked my drain and the clog cleared. Then they reran then camera and visibility was perfect. My drain was in perfect working order minus a place where roots clearly come through. When it was all said and done, my drain was cleared and functioning, the entire run of pipe cammed and inspected. They cleaned the entire work area and capped my drain. They removed all their tools and I paid the bill. The entire bill for all that labor and and cam work. 125 bucks. The work done was worth every penny but I can't say enough about Brandon and Julio. They were professional and hard working while being funny, chatty and downright friendly at the same time. It was a joy having them in the house. Julio made some recommendations on work that would fix the root problem but at no time tried to upsell us into expensive fixes I didn't currently need. Neither brought any pressure to the situation nor treated me like I was stupid. I hope I don't need this companies services anytime in the near future but if I do, Tipping Hat is who I'd call.

"Past performance is not an indicator of future success." We've had Tipping Hat in our home a few times. Twice, we were impressed by quick, friendly, competent service for electrical issues. Each time, they could have pushed us into spending more, but appeared to cut us a break. We were impressed. So, when the freak mid-May cold snap & snowstorm hit yesterday and our furnace went cold, we gave them a call. I was called by their supervisor/tech, who explained that Part A was broken and needed replacing. $1100. Once he replaced that, he could tell me if Part B ($800) was also defective. Hmmm--Spider Sense Tingling. If I wanted to proceed, he needed a credit card now. Since the card was in my car, a few minutes' walk from my office, I asked if I could call him back and if he could email me an estimate first. That didn't go over well. He said that if he took the time to email me, he couldn't guarantee service that day. My toddler's bedroom was 59 degrees. I felt pressured. I walked out to get the card and realized that my builder-grade furnace cost $2k brand new. He was pushing spending nearly that to repair it. I called him back and passed. It just felt wrong. To make a long story short, I'm sitting in my toasty living room right now because we called a competitor, who came right over this afternoon, fixed only Part B, and charged me $80 less for it. He said there was nothing wrong with Part A, and it appears he's right. Instead of spending $1900 to fix a $2000 furnace, I dropped a fraction of that. So, while I tip my hat to these guys for the little things, when real dollars are in play, I will call someone else. Today's experience smacked of either incompetence or dishonesty. I can't afford either.

my wife and i were dealing with water backing up from our basement drain for a couple of days, and after trying things like hot water and drain cleaner, nothing worked. since we don’t know much about plumbing, we decided it was time to call a plumber here in highlands ranch. i called around to some local plumbing services, but the only one who would give me an estimate over the phone was really helpful. after hearing stories about how some companies can overcharge or take advantage of homeowners who aren’t familiar with plumbing, i really appreciated getting a fair and reasonable quote. the first call i made was answered by an answering service, but then dale, the plumber on call, got back to me within 10 minutes. talking with dale was great—he was friendly, polite, and happy to give me a rough estimate right away. i told him i wanted to check around for the best price, and he was totally fine with that, no pressure at all. after checking with a few more plumbers, i found out his price was actually the best. when i called him back, i had to leave a voicemail, but he called back again within 10 minutes and said he could be at our house in just half an hour! other companies wouldn’t even give me a quote and said i had to wait up to 4 hours. when dale arrived, he was very professional and explained how our plumbing system works, which really helped us understand what was going on. he fixed the problem quickly and made sure we knew how to avoid it in the future. it was nice to work with someone who was honest and didn’t try to sell us anything extra since we’re new homeowners. my wife and i will definitely call them again for any future plumbing or heating needs.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY Research their history on the Better Business Bureau website. They have engaged in similar practices in the past. My 86-year-old father hired them to replace two toilet fill valves and flappers. They charged him $677 twice, totaling $1354. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, I was unable to obtain a return call. I eventually spoke with Cyan, Kevin, and Jillian (none of whom were able to assist). I left several messages and sent two emails. Finally, I spoke with Marissa, the manager, who insisted that the price was reasonable for Castle Rock, CO. She now requires my father to obtain another quote, learn to navigate the internet, scan and email her the quote in order to price match a fair charge for the same service. They are not honoring their 100% satisfaction guarantee, which is prominently displayed on their website and in the paperwork/invoice that I had to request from them. My father was unaware of the typical charge for this service and did not inform me until it was completed and paid for. He even tipped the technician, Cameron Woods, $20 to purchase lunch after the job. He accepted the tip! This constitutes fraud against the elderly on an unprecedented scale. I posted on Nextdoor seeking advice and received over 80 comments from plumbers, neighbors, and handymen who indicated how unfair this situation was. I will report them to the Federal Trade Commission, the Attorney General's office, the Colorado Electrical Examining Board of Plumbers, the Better Business Bureau, and local news stations to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

Leonard, Zachary, Theodore and the rest of the team did an outstanding job on my sewer line, even though the conditions were challenging. My house is situated in an old part of Highlands Ranch where the city sewer line and easements run down between the backyards. My sewer line, over 65 years old, was practically collapsed. Years ago, my neighbor erected a block wall and planted lilac bushes right on top of the easement where the city line was. To reach the line, we had the options of accessing it from the neighbor's backyard or removing the wall from my property. We managed to get permission for the former and I had to remove a couple of lilac bushes. One was already dead and the other nearly so, and they were precisely where my line and the neighbor's line connected to the city line. Our yards suffered minimal damage thanks to the rubber tracked mini-excavator the team used. It was astonishing to see the number of large rocks present in our neighborhood soil. Within two days, the team was able to dig a few holes, pipe bust my entire 50 foot + line, and replace the old collapsed pipe. Our line was only out of service for about 5 hours on the second day. All the holes were efficiently filled back in, leaving me with just some minor cleanup work, like leveling some grassy areas where the excavator tracks had left their mark, and picking up a few newly exposed rocks. It's such a relief now to use the toilet, knowing that everything is flowing into the city system as it should, instead of back at me. A big thank you to Leonard, Zachary, Theodore and the rest of the crew for their excellent work.
