I had one of the biggest plumbing companies in the Allen area "diagnose" and "quote" a repair to a gas leak on the outside of my home. Under their advice I needed to cut my driveway to run a new line. I did get my driveay cut open and trenched. I couldnt get the original company to come lay the gas line to finish the work. We were without gas for cooking, bathing or heating the home for nearly a week. Red flag, after 2 days of calling to schedule the gas line nobody called me back until 4 days later. By then James had saved the day. I called James and he actually answers the phone. Not some office person who doesnt know anything about plumbing or an AI assistant and if he doesnt answer he calls you back quickly. He came out within an hour and within a few minutes was able to tell me the problem which was some unions that were leaking, essentially a simple fix. He ran a pressure test on all lines and the house and even fixed an error caused by the last technician from the other company. The first company wanted nearly 15k to excavate, replace a gas line and replace a quarter yard of concrete trench out of the driveway. I opted to hire out the concrete and trenching to save money and have them do the line which thankfully James informed me was completely unnecessary, but the original company wouldnt even respond to my request to approve the work! I essentially had my driveway cut open and excavated for no reason which was a costly mistake on my part. I wish I had just called James first. Its sad these days that some of these other plumbers and companies will take advantage of uniformed homeowners. Any company that pays plumbers commision should be avoided. Im thankful I found James Plumbing, he is honest and truly cares about his customers. He made it his mission over 3 days to run the proper pressure tests, do the repairs, run the tests again and meet with the city inspector to make sure we got our gas back on. People dont play games just call James Plumbing. Im glad I know I have an honest tradesman I can call in an emergency who wont inflate a repair, give me the safest most cost effective solution to my problem and follow through with his work. His solution was more than 12x less than the big company. Thanks again James!

Bought a house. James has been here over the last few years doing work. He's installed new lines, toilets, and unclogged sewer lines. Trust him to be honest and do good work.

When I discovered my outdoor hose bib was leaking I contacted Jonathan and he came the next day to fix it. The bib was old and there was no access to the pipe it was connected to so he had to carefully break through some brick to reach the pipe, which was a scary thought, but he handled it very carefully. Not only did he replace the hose bib perfectly, but he surprised me by seamlessly mortaring the brick afterward without me even asking. When I came out, everything looked flawless, and the pricing was more than fair. Would highly recommend.

I have replaced 2 hose bibs at my house with Jon (James Plumbing). Both times I called, he came the same day as my call and made the repairs promptly...he did a fantastic job on both occasions and was very honest about the repair and what the options were.
