However, he also told us several things "wrong" with our installed unit that were disproved by the company who put it in and quoted us thousands of dollars for work the original company was able to do at a much more reasonable cost. “Make sure you get a second opinion. Had a problem with my heat pump during this late January polar vortex. Called Horizon Tuesday morning and had a tech out early afternoon. He diagnosed a faulty emergency heat unit. Quoted between $1800-$2000 to repair it. Also it would take five days to get the replacement part. He said my 12 year old unit may not be worth repairing at that price as it was possibly near the end of …”
