Heart of Ohio HVAC, Plumbing and Electric

Today I had a great visit from Scott, a technician representing Haven, formerly Heart of Ohio. The occasion was an annual cleaning and tune up of my furnace (which they installed just a few years ago). It’s always a relief to hear that every thing looks good. The extra value I received from today’s call was an explanation of furnace filters and how they affect the efficiency of my equipment. As homeowners, we make a large investment in environmental mechanics that we rely on to produce comfort in our homes. I’ve been a homeowner for over 40 years. Not once have I learned about this inexpensive part that I replace frequently during the year. Scott delivered the news in a customer centric manner that was respectful as well as informative. And here I’ve believed that the high tech, ultra filtration filters were working for me. Remember this dear reader-MERS 5 rating. I plan to be a satisfied customer for a long time.

Coldest wi ter in years. My furnace was barely working. Had a service tek come out. He was honest with me about the condition of my 25 year old furnace. I decided to have it replaced. They cane out next day and replaced my furnance They were nice and friendly and showed me the new thermostat and how it worked. Great company would recommend them to anyone needing repair or new furnance.

Technician called ahead to give me an estimated arrival time and was here within the service window. Company vehicle was nicely detailed with who he represented. Was in uniform and introduced himself and explained why he was there. Technician was very thorough with the scheduled maintenance and showed me the parts he was cleaning. Took great care of my hot water tank and furnace. Very professional and respected my home. Customer service representative was very courteous and easy to understand when scheduling my appointment. Overall was very happy with the service and value provided.

Heart of Ohio had recently bought out Huge but has now been bought out by Haven Services according to our technician who arrived an hour early while no one was home. Regardless as of 2/5/26 their “system switched” so the $75 clean and check we were quoted on 2/4/26 was now $175. After the service the tech gave a sales pitch to my wife on maintenance packages and full furnace replacement options. Additionally the tech changed the thermostat from 71 to 73 and never set it back when he was done which wasn’t noticed for 4 days. After years of great service from Huge I will be looking elsewhere for our HVAC needs in the Spring.
