Steve did a great job with helping me out with a plumbing issue that would have cost me a lot of money. He told me what parts to buy and walked me through each step in order to help fix my plumbing issue. I’m so thankful for his help and expertise!

We haven’t had water for 2 weeks, and we were extremely lucky that Steve was able to come out on short notice, and on a Saturday no less. He replaced a busted cistern well pump and water pressure tank - when nobody else would. Not only did he do it all in one visit, but took the time beforehand to ensure that we bought the right pump, tank, and made sure we knew the options we had available to us - and to ensure that he would be perfectly comfortable working with copper piping. I couldn’t recommend a better plumber professional to handle the toughest jobs! Extraordinarily satisfying experience.

Steve is a lifesaver!!! I attempted what should have been a simple home repair at night on the weekend (I know.. I know..). Come to find out, my main water shut off valve was faulty and water was pouring into the interior structure of my home. In a panic I called 10 plumbers, none of which had technicians available. Steve called me and calmly gave me step by step instructions to divert the water outside and how to replace the faucet stem I had removed. Once that was completed, I noticed water leaking into my basement in 2 spots. Steve was able to identify the two outside faucets that needed repair and gave me options on what to do if I cannot afford to repair it right away. A few days later, Steve came over and repaired the main shut off valve quickly and was incredibly kind. He takes the time to educate you about what exactly is wrong and gives you options on how you would like to proceed. In a world where there are so many people that will take advantage of others, Steve sets a precedent of what it's like to be a fair and honest tradesman. I will be using Dunbar plumbing for life!!!

Wow, called this company because the reviews were so great and he was extremely rude. I didn’t even waste my time having him come out to look at the house when I know our money wasn’t appreciated.

Unreliable, will NOT stand behind his work. I had the same issue less than a week (and $480) that I had before he came, he was pretty quick with excuses and said I'd have to pay $105 (the one hour minimum fee) for him to even come look at it. After having another plumber come look at the work, he was amazed that the substandard fittings and unsoldered pipes didn't just blow apart. I think there should be an option for zero stars, one is too many on this one.

Northern Ky. '90 built house; PVC plumbing. Tub leak to garage ceiling that I had cleared access to. A bathtub drain leak. Called Steve Neinaber and was spoken too like a friend and not a sales target as like a used car salesman. I had called like Oh, I called 5 to 7 and had 3 come to the house for a check/review/bid process. 2 were free and one would have been $79. Arlinghaus' bid was $1,081.20, Jolly's $800 and Schneller's $1,248. It was a good thing that I had that free $79 ( Schneller Heating and AC customer) free plumbing diagnostic fee waiver! I had already spoken with Steve on the phone and described the leak and he estimated that given clear access and depending upon the choice of repair/replacement materials, that he could most likely repair this for $300 to $400. I made the appointment and Steve came and found that the fiberglass pipe fitted to the tub had basically deteriorated to having a large hole just under where the pipe fitted to the tub. He explained how this likely occurred and described how he would go about the repair and suggested a couple of different materials and options and the pros and cons of each. What resulted was that instead of a quick fix "patch and go", Steve got the insert fitting into the tub itself setup and we let that dry and setup for a couple of days. When he returned letting that repair to the tub itself (there were hole edge chips too), Steve cut out the old fitting and put in a replacement and got the repair done the right way for $300 total. The first visit I gave hime $200 and in the second visit, $100. Steve is old school straight talking and a plumber's plumber. Dunbar Plumbing is now my family's plumber and I will highly recommend him to family and friends. BTW, I had asked the 'big guys'... "I spoke to a person who said that with labor and parts this would run around 3 to $400, why do you quote so high". I could not believe it when the reply was basically, 'because there is a shortage of plumbers and we can do so'. In other words, 'it is what the market will bear'. Well, thank goodness Dunbar Plumbing does not feel the need to be a grisly bear and maul his customer's budgets in the way that these folks must be getting away with all over town. Steve is professional and conversational and very knowledgeable about his craft. It was a pleasure to invite him into my home and provide this service for my family. Thank you Steve for restoring some of faith in the service industry. ( BTW, I had never met Steve nor knew of him before this call. ) This is an honest and frank review.

Steve is by far the best plumber my fiancé and I have ever dealt with. One July afternoon our toilet kept clogging randomly. We tried a number of things on our own along with replacing the toilet. Still, no luck, so we called Dunbar Plumbing. Steve came out twice, but the problem still continued. The third time, Steve brought the sewage company with him along with a camera that they could run down the sewage pipe. He paid for the sewage company out of his own pocket because the problem was still unsolved. Long story short, there was a piece of wood that came down the vent when our condo association was having our roof replaced. This wood was wedged where our main sewage pipe connected to the secondary toilet pipe. Steve went to bat for us and went after the association along with the roofing company. Not only did Steve get us our money refunded, but also got them to pay for the new toilet we had to get when were trying to pin point the problem. Steve didn't have to do any of that, but did it anyway because he is a good person. That is hard to find in today's world! On top of that his prices are great, educates his customers on how to get the most out of their plumbing, cleans up, and will work around the clock to make sure his customers are satisfied. We already hired him for a second job...that's how satisfied we were. We challenge anyone to find a better plumber. Steve is by far the best there is and we are lucky to have him in the Cincinnati area.

My husband and I recently bought our first home and shortly after moving in, we discovered the faucet in the tub of the master bathroom dripped continuously, no matter how tightly the handle was turned off. My husband made several attempts to fix it, but to not avail. In a desperate attempt to save our water bill, my husband came across Dunbar Plumbing here on Yelp and gave him a call. Steve immediately texted my husband to talk through the issue and schedule a visit. Steve was highly responsive, very affordable and extremely knowledgeable (a rare combination in our experience). He fixed the issue within about an hour and talked my husband through each step of the repair to save us a call if it happened to us ever again. Steve also offered to inspect anything else in the house for us, knowing that we had just moved in. I highly recommend Steve for all your plumbing needs!

Had a relatively minor toilet repair issue that exceeded my personal ability, but I didn't want to pay an excessive amount to have it fixed either. I got phone estimates from a couple of local plumbers and Steve from Dunbar seemed the most knowledgeable and reasonable. He had to reschedule from the original appointment due to health issues, but came on the next possible day, which was Sunday. The minimum charge is for an hour, so after the toilet repair only took 30 minutes, he asked if there was anything else he could look at and ended up clearing out a drain, pointing out an issue with the water heater that needed to be addressed and answering a few other questions. I wish I could have only paid for half an hour, but really appreciated that he made sure I got my money's worth for the hour minimum.

When our water heater was on it's way out, we decided to get some estimates from one of the larger businesses in the area, which of course came back very high with a lot of unnecessary extras. My wife found Dunbar Plumbing with a quick google search, and from the first moment we talked with Steve, he did not ever disappoint. On that initial call, even before coming out and looking at the unit, he was on the phone with us at 8:30pm talking us through what was potentially wrong, and how it would be fixed. Steve worked with us in a big way and allowed us to purchase the necessary parts on our own, which allowed us to save a lot of money. Steve is tremendously knowledgeable and does excellent work. Would highly recommend, and would go so far as to say don't even bother with the 'other guys'.

I can't say enough good things about Dunbar Plumbing. Steve, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable. His customer service skills are awesome. He takes the time to listen to what you need as a customer and comes up with ways to help you save money before he arrives if there are easy steps that need to be done that you, as a customer, can do ahead of time. I had a shower clog that I tried everything I knew to do to fix it. Steve was able to get the job done in about an hour. I've had no problems since! I would highly recommend Dunbar Plumbing if you want an experienced plumber that is honest and cares about his customers. I will be a repeat customer!

It's good to find an honest plumber. I started work on replacing a bathroom faucet and cracked the p trap tightening ring. I didn't feel confident in my plumbing skills so called to have Dunbar Plumbing come out and finish the job which also involved replacing the water supply lines to the faucet. He asked me to send him pictures and he called me back and said "listen if I come out it's going to cost a lot of money and this is something you can do yourself i will talk you through it" . To make a long story short i saved myself a ton of money and job complete. Thanks you Dunbar Plumping .

I would highly recommend Dunbar Plumbing to anyone. Steve was prompt to come out. He repaired the pipe that was leaking and check everything out. During his inspection he found the pipe next to it had a small leak as well. He repaired both pipes with quality parts. He then check out my entire water system. He found no additional problems. He did however give me a few tips on things to keep an eye on that could go wrong in the future. For the entire job I feel his price was very reasonable and he was very knowledgeable and professional. One again I would recommend them.

This is the third time I have used Dunbar Plumbing. I have always been extremely happy with Steve's service and knowledge. When I think about what is important in rating a plumber and what would benefit others I come up with... Knowledge, Professionalism, Fxing things right the first time and stands behind their work. All at a fair price. Steve has always fixed things right with quality repairs. He is very knowledgeable and fixes things as if it was his house. He explains everything and makes sure things are done right before he leaves. I give him 5 stars in all of items.

Called Steve and asked for him to come down as we were having too many issues installing our new toilet. Steve listened to what the issues were and gave suggestions which were right. The recommendations/tips he gave were not stuff I was able to find on YouTube originally and they ended up working. He tried to save money by helping on the phone (although was willing to come down should the tricks not work of course). All in all, he was super responsive, explained things in a way I could easily understand and it resolved our issues. Thank you Steve!
