Greater Pittsburgh Plumbing saved us by evaluating, excavating and fixing our massive sewer line break/deterioration. They responded quickly and worked diligently to completion before our house closing. They communicated well and their estimates were much better than other major plumbing groups. They also came quickly during our disaster to replace our sump pump. I can’t recommend them enough. All of the divisions we encountered were professional, hard working and really nice. Great group.

Efficient, on time and friendly. Reasonable prices. We had a good experience. The workers were exceptional. Polite and friendly. The names I can remember are Tyler, Zach and Nate. All were knowledgeable and explained exactly what they were doing. Definitely keeping their info on file.

We had a severely crushed sewer line issue and turned to Greater Pittsburgh Plumbing (GPP) after another contractor made an already difficult situation even worse. From the moment Stan and his team got involved, the experience completely changed. GPP handled the project with total professionalism, transparency, and integrity from start to finish. Stan took the time to clearly explain the problem, outline the options, and work collaboratively with us every step of the way. Just as importantly, the team went above and beyond to help us maximize what could be recovered through insurance — something that made a huge difference financially during a very stressful time. While we still had out-of-pocket costs, I can say without hesitation that GPP is the first call you should make if you are facing a major plumbing or sewer issue. Their field crew was outstanding — knowledgeable, hardworking, respectful, and incredibly efficient. Equally impressive was the office staff, who coordinated scheduling, billing, invoicing, and insurance communications with remarkable responsiveness and professionalism. What could have been a financially and emotionally catastrophic project became manageable because of Stan and the entire GPP team. That combination of technical expertise, honesty, communication, and customer care is rare today. Thank you again to everyone at Greater Pittsburgh Plumbing for doing things the right way.

I’ve had several experiences with this company and, while the work is generally well done, I am finding the pricing to be egregious. For clarity, the 2 star rating is not a reflection of the quality of the work. The individual that came did fine work but he was here for about 2 hours and I supplied the parts. I don’t mind that plumbers can be expensive. It’s not easy and requires a good bit of knowledge. I’m glad to pay a fair price for that. That said, I paid about $400-$500 per hour for this work. Their method is to charge for each function. They don’t quote a labor rate and there is no estimate until the plumber comes and hands it to you for your approval. The alternative is say no, at which point you are billed for the evaluation, which is fair, but saying no also means you need to start looking for someone else. At that point, I payed the number because I needed the work done. It’s a mistake I won’t make again. I think a published labor rate, if I’m supplying the parts, would be much more reasonable. You can judge for yourself if you think that’s a reasonable pricing methodology.

The job was perfectly done and exceeded my expectations by far. Also, price was best quote I recieved. Workers were professional, friendly, and efficient! Great Job. Will hire again next plumbing job needed.
