My wife called Express Rooter on the recommendation of our Foundation repair company. She was told that they would give a free estimate on a small leak that we needed taken care of. They came out this morning and went under the house. When they came back out they told us that it would be 125 dollars. The technician told us that it was just a loose connection that he hand tightened. We were a little surprised by the 125 charge considering we had only called them out for a free estimate. We talked to the manager over the phone and he said that it was a fair price because they had to come from Hartselle. They also told us that if he hadn't tightened the connection, it would have only been a 95 dollar service call charge. No one told us anything about what was wrong or how it was fixed until we were handed the bill. We contacted our foundation guy and asked him not to recommend Express Rooter to anyone in the Athens area, and I am refusing to recommend them for anyone. Free estimates should not cost $125.

Horrible driving from a business owner

Update: I have an older house that came with a ton of problems! But one thing I know for sure is that if I have a plumbing problem, I can always count on James to fix it! I had a leak "somewhere" between the house and the water meter, which is a 600 foot drag! He fixed a couple small leaks under the house the first night and we discovered the line was still leaking somewhere. So we walked to an area that had been previously worked on by my husband and sure enough, we knew the leak was in the same vicinity. The next afternoon James came out and dug until he found the leak and fixed it in record time! James knows his stuff and he'll always be my go-to for plumbing issues! James, thank you so much for your hard work and dedication to your craft! ------------------------------------------------------------ James did an excellent job installing my new toilet & vanity. He kept me thoroughly informed, from the time he gave me the estimate until the job was completed. I am very happy with the work he did & will be calling him again for future plumbing jobs I want done later. I am so very pleased with my almost complete bathroom!

Exceptional experience using James. He was not only very friendly but was refusal of giving up on making sure the job was successfully done. We had several others come out with no luck and James as soon as he got the call headed on out this way and started the job! He snaked the drain and got the sludge that was blocking our pipes out besides I will say the poor man had to snake is more than just a couple of times, and he never once acted as if he was going to give up or walk away from the job he kept going until he finally got it to come loose. I honestly could not be more thankful for the job this man has done for us and got everything back working properly. Thank you so much again Mr. James I will definitely be bragging about you as well as sharing with everyone I know if they ever need help to give you call for sure. This company is great! We are relatively new to the area and James answered a service call after hours on Thursday and got our leak fixed in just a couple of hours. We had a busted main line in our front yard and James was able to locate it swiftly and took the time to get it fixed promptly, without compromise to quality, and at a very reasonable price. Our main line was several feet below ground and next to a tree with more roots than branches, James had all the equipment needed to still get the job done without renting any high dollar equipment. I highly recommend this service for your emergency plumbing needs and I will be using them in the future!

James showed up in the timeframe that he said he would. He was clean and professional. He assessed the issue and provided me with best and worse case scenarios and provided me with the cost upfront. He snaked my clogged kitchen drain to about 50 feet. Cleared the clog quickly, and cleaned up. No surprises did exactly what I ask and charged exactly what he said. Will use him again soon. Also, James is the owner of this small business. Give him a call, you won't be dissatisfied.

I had a leak in the laundry room and garage after a week of freezing temperatures. James came out later on a Sunday evening to assess the situation. It was an unusual set of circumstances, but James took his time, ruled out potential causes until the issue was found and fixed. I highly recommend Drain Pro Express, and while I hope I never need their services again, they would be the first place I call if needed.

Our tub was clogged pretty good as there are three of us and two dogs in the house. After drain fluid wouldn't work we broke down to call someone. James at DrainPro Express was quick, stayed in touch and concise in the schedule he set for us, and was very personal and polite after the job was done. Put his card on the fridge and will absolutely reach out again for any further problems.

James did a phenomenal job replacing our 50 gallon water heater on short notice. He had a busy day but was true to his word that he would fit me into his schedule for the day. It was clear to me the entire time he was here that he cared about the quality of his work and professionalism. I’m extremely satisfied with the replacement and the care he took to make sure it was done right.

It was nice to meet an honest business person. This man came to my mother's home after a very bad and costly experience with another plumbing company, and took care of the situation. His prices were fair and he was upfront and honest about the work to be done. I would highly recommend James and his company, and will definitely use him with any of my plumbing problems in the future.

Had an outdoor faucet attached to a hose and would not close. Temps were dropping, sleet , snow, and freezing rain. Even with rural roads closing, DrainPro Express quickly worked me in, replaced the outdoor faucet, and averted a possible disaster. 4 hours from first contact to problem solved - better than I could expect on a warm sunny day, they did it during a winter storm!
