I was able to call and get a technician out to my house in about an hour. Daphne and another young lady (apologies I forgot her name!) They were quick and efficient. Made sure the job was done correctly before leaving, and they made sure everything was cleaned and in order before they left! I will use again if the need arises.
This is the second time I have used this company for work at my home. The first time was the installation of a new heat pump system. This time it was the replacement of my well pump. The team that did the work was professional, knowledgeable and efficient. The team, led by Daphne Ziegenfus, was excellent. Daphne, a young female plumber, was outstanding. I was truly impressed with her knowledge and work ethic. The job was completed in one day and the unit is working perfectly. It must be noted that the well is 400 ft deep, so removing was not a simple task. However, with the right equipment and skills, Daphne and her team handled it no problem.
The technician was courteous, professional and very knowledgeable. His efforts were greatly appreciated during a stressful time.
I paid 320 for a yearly fee to have my furnace clean twice a year just received a bill in the mail for another 380 for cleaning my furnace I have my furnace cleaned every year and had never ever paid $700 I was in shock would not recommend them to anyone
My husband called them to get a quote. They said they would need to come out and look at the problem and charged an $89.00 fee. After looking at the problem they said it would be over $600. My husband thought that sounded like a lot for the job so he said he would have to talk it over with me. The service person said if they came back out today they wouldn’t charge anything additional other than the cost of the service. When I called back at 4:12pm I was told it was after hours and it would be another $100.00 or I could wait until the next day. So I called around and found a very reputable company that gave me a price over the phone, did not charge after hours pricing, came within 15 minutes and it was a fraction of the cost that Deluxe was charging. Shop around! I learned the hard way! **Update-In response to this business, we DID call back the same night within a few minutes of booking Agentis and cancelled our appointment with you!! The lady thanked us for calling back. I am a responsible person and to say I didn’t is infuriating. I also knew you had my credit card on file and didn’t want to be charged any additional fees for not cancelling. My point in my review was that if someone is on a budget or concerned about the price given it might be beneficial to shop around as we did. We were happy we did!!
The actual work performed was good. They removed our busted geothermal system and installed an electric heat pump. No issues so far. What I didn't like about the service was the lack of clear communication and planning in some instances. I also felt like my desperate need for heat in my house may have been manipulated a bit. 1) The process of diagnosing the existing issue was long and expensive. They ended up asking two perform two different diagnostic tests for about $500 each. I paid their fees because they said they would credit those costs back to me if I were to get a new system through them. Maybe it wasn't manipulative BS, but it easily could have been, since they essentially roped me into doing more with them after their tests were done. I had a sick baby and didnt have the luxury to shop around for HVAC service. 2) On the quote they sent me for having a heat pump installed, there was no detailed breakdown of costs, only a list of the work that would be done and the system that would be put in. I was expected to take their word for it regarding the costs, but I dont like that. If Im paying thousands of dollars for something, I want a breakdown. I want to know where that total bill came from. Also, the initial bill contained a significant error - the wrong heat pump was listed. I caught the error and they changed it. Im glad I did some novice Google searching to catch that. Also, the initial quote didnt show any discounts coming off from the previously mentioned diagnostic tests. I was supposed to take their word for it that those discounts were included in the quoted total, and I didnt like that. 3) This was a two day job. The first day was fine other than the fact that none of the several men in my home introduced themselves. If youre going to be in my house for two full days around my family, I want to know who you are. Aside from this, the day following the first day of work had significant snow in the forecast. We all knew about. You would have had to live under a rock to not know about it. The workers said nothing about it, and did not indicate that they would not show up if it snowed. The next morning comes, nobody shows up in the morning, and nobody calls me. I had to call them to learn they would not be coming. It would have been great to know about this possibility the day before. With a sick baby in the house, we could have used a heads up so we could prepare for another day and night without heat. Overall, there were a lot of little things that accumulated to influence this review. I could look past one sketchy thing happening, but the several things compiling together has left me unsure about this company. It's a shame because the people I spoke with on the phone were friendly, accessible, and informative when I asked questions. But, I felt like I had to be the one to ask questions about a lot of things that I should not have had to ask about because they should have been communicated correctly and clearly in the first place. I am not sure if I will use this company again or not. Maybe I will, maybe I wont. Hopefully, my heat and plumbing hold up for a while so I wont need to worry about it.
This company is scammy avoid at all costs. After paying $79 for them just to come out they gave me a quote with two estimates first estimate was ex-30 with purge and air vent for $900 dollars . The second was $1225 with a combo autofeed back vent prevention valve. No summary was provided I mean for a $80 expansion tank and $150 valve it seemed steep but I was sick of dumping water from overflow . They show up to tell me the $1225 estimate does not include the tank just the combo back flow and they need to get the parts . I told the Manager this is a mistake and laid out the pricing of the valve ($150) and his excuse was there is a markup. Not knowing what is actually wrong I went ahead with the $900 estimate to fix my issue. This included the removal of an older style rafter tank and then ProPress in the EX-60 expansion tank with a purge and vent per the estimate. Long story short they put it in , no purge and no air vent. I now have the same issue that I started with an overflowing backflow valve dumping water $900 later into a bucket. The gentlemen who did the work performed his job well, he was even left by his manager to remove the rafter tank alone. I went downstairs and helped him as it was a large 30 Gallon steel tank. I told him he did a good job as who ever originally came out to quote for $79 for 3 minutes did not care what my the problem was nor did he even make note of my boiler piping that would require significant piping changes for a purge and air vent to be added per the quote .Anyone working for this company with the ability to communicate with a customer EFFECTIVELY should open their own business. This company IS SCAMMY BEWARE. The reviews don’t match the service. Please don’t reply to make your business look like you care. After milking my money, you TRULY deserve this negative review. Area capable plumbers take advantage of this disastrous company and grab customers with honest service at pricing that should reflect the work . This was $500 job tops, 2 hours of labor at $200/hr with a 30 percent mark up on parts.
Think twice before using Deluxe Plumbing & Heating! We had a plumbing issue that required an experienced expert to assess and treat. We called Deluxe based on reviews and their claim to have "Master Plumbers." The dispatcher told us that the cost would be $69 to send a plumber out, but no mention was made of further charges or how they would be calculated. The technician arrived in a timely manner, however we quickly realized we did not have an experienced plumber on hand. He acknowledged he was taking classes to receive his Master classification and had been in plumbing for two years. Neither experienced or a Master. After looking at the situation, a lot of head scratching and using his own ladder (the only tool used the entire time), he gave his diagnosis and recommendation. We were then presented with a bill for $212. Just a total due, not itemized. When asked, the technician could not explain how he arrived at that total. Although shocked (he had never mentioned cost at any time during the call), we reluctantly paid him with the request that the office send us an itemized receipt. We never received that receipt. We called the office and were told that those were "normal" charges for what the technician did, but the rep couldn't actually elaborate on what the tech did or what each "action" cost. After expressing our frustration and disappointment to the rep, she assured us that she would escalate the complaint and that we would hear back. That was a week ago and still no word. By the way, the technician's assessment was completely wrong. We had to get yet another plumber (from another establishment) to come to the house and he accurately diagnosed the problem and helped us come up with a plan to resolve it. The only thing deluxe about Deluxe Plumbing is the invoice. Run as far as you can from this company.
I wouldn't recommend DP&H I had a leaking HW 40 gal. I didn't have time to get into it myself so I called and they came to look at the leak for $89. Spent about 5 minutes, if that, looking at my situation. My tank was only 6 years old. The techs retreated to their nicely painted van and wrote up a quote delivered by email and very techy process. Wow, what a high tech, fancy plumbing company. They worked up a quote and recommended a complete remove and install of a new tank at $4500. Stunned, I thought the price was high for a hot water heater tank and install. The tank itself is about $2000 and so $2500 for parts and labor and disposal is a little steep for that work. I didn't hire them and decided to do it myself. Anyway, turned out that the problem wasn't my tank at all, it was simply a failed expansion tank. That would have been a very simple repair as that is about a $50 part and takes less than an hour to replace. So DP&H misdiagnosed and went straight to the most expensive option. I feel like anyone that knows, really knows, their trade would give the options and explain possible causes and provide customers with those options. Do some basic tests and inspections. Could be the technicians I got were just having an off day or perhaps not very well trained. Who knows. I do not recommend.
Deluxe Plumbing & Heating established a new location in Hanover Township and I've been looking for the right time to give them a call. That opportunity came last week. I've been putting off having a new water heater installed and decided it was time to have it replaced after 15+ years. I stopped by their store/office and they introduced me to Chad. I showed him a few pictures from my phone and we discussed water heater options and my needs (home size, usage etc...). And, he provided an estimate. He asked if I was available for him to stop by the house to see the work needed. Long story short... he stopped by the house to review the need, I received a quote on line that afternoon and scheduled the work for 8am the next morning. The install (by Chad) the next morning went without a hitch and he was done before noon. Most importantly, Chad and his assistant Matt were professional, VERY clean throughout the project, the plumbing work done was impeccable and he answered any questions as they were completing the work. Their use of phone, text and e-mail throughout the complete transaction helped to ensure a seamless experience. I also had a few follow up questions after the install which the office staff answered immediately. Thanks Deluxe and a very big shout out to Chad. Great job. Deluxe is fortunate to have you.
Long story ahead. We had trouble with our washing machine that would overflow and water would come back up, so naturally we called a plumber. We saw the great reviews and figured this is our best option. Never again. Go somewhere else if you want your problem fixed. They sent a very inexperienced woman who not only did not solve the problem, but also put four holes in our wall that was not necessary at all. What happened was she snaked it, didn't go far enough, gave up, and then left. Charged us $500 only for our machine to overflow again and we called back. So she came back and asked if she was allowed to put a hole in our wall. We did say yes, so that is on us, but we also know nothing about plumbing and thought she knew best. In the end she put four holes in our wall, again, we allowed it, but four? Also she wanted to charge us $1000 for a washing machine box, which if you look it up is only $50 to $200 online. Way overpriced. Anyway we called another plumber, an older gentleman, who not only fixed our problem, as it was just a clog, but told us what she did wrong and that holes in our wall were unnecessary.
Excellent Service! Attention to detail! We've had several jobs performed by Deluxe, including Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical! Every technician who came was professional kind and courteous. They even took great care with my dog who is old and blind. They took the time to make sure there were no hazards outside that my dog could fall into or trip over. They're just as mindful inside the home. AND they clean up after they're done! They leave no trace! Deluxe communicates effectively and in a timely manner. They always come within the provided window. I'm particularly impressed with how every technician explains the issues, the pricing and how they're going to fix it. They never leave without showing me that everything is in working order and teach me how to maintain my property once they're gone. They go above an beyond! I highly recommend Deluxe Plumbing in Bethlehem for all your home's Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical needs. Thank you to Bill, Anna, Ryan, Tyler, Blade, Dayton, Marcus and Zack. Jobs well done!
Due to the pandemic, our organization elected to change all of our faucets to touch-less sensor faucets for cleanliness. While doing the work, a less than a year old $300 faucet was replaced. The work was done on a Saturday - I called asking for the faucet on Monday. To which it was explained to me that "we have a policy that says if nothing is said they can do what they wish with the replaced item." I received a call back later that day informing me of their "finders-keepers" like policy and was told they would search and see if they can locate. I called back Wednesday - and am still awaiting a callback. Deluxe can and will do quality work. Deluxe and the organization I represent had a mutually beneficial relationship for over a year. It's sad they and their reps have chosen to throw it away over an internal corporate policy they don't warn you about. They are more expensive than their competitors so you may overpay and as I learned - you may lose out on some of your property.
Had a pretty serious clog in my Kitchen sink piping the day after Thanksgiving. Even though it was the day after a Holiday, they had a team out to me within 20 minutes coming from another job. They did a pre inspection to diagnose the problem and gave me pricing before doing any work. They also put blankets down and were very careful although it was a sloppy job, respecting my home. They cleaned up nicely and then did a courtesy home inspection of all of my plumbing to make sure everything else was in order. Caleb and his partner were very professional and answered all of my questions as they were working. We only bought our house a little over a year ago so it is nice to now know we have a reliable contact for all of our future plumbing needs. Great company and awesome employees!
Visit cost 69 dollars. The technician found a switch to reset for my not working furnice. The switch was located inside the furnace. It took the technician 2 minutes to reset the furnace. He tried to charge me 256 dollars for flipping a switch. After a back and forth, I agreed to pay him 156 dollars. 4hrs after the technician leaves, my furnace stopped working again. I called and complained and they agreed to come back free of charge but stated they will charge me if they find something else. Ofcourse they will try to find something else or make up something to charge me twice. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. They will take your money and run and not fix anything.
