Excellent service. On time. Very polite and competent technician who explained what he was doing. Efficient. Checked my AC and cleaned my dryer vent here in the spring. I got the yearly plan where my heating system and water heater will be checked in the Fall. All one price.
Dalton is the only plumbing/heating/cooling company we would ever trust to work on our systems. They are professional, courteous, personable, and always explain issues and remedies. Also, we like the fact they wear booties over their shoes while in our home. Brad, Andy, and Connor are our “go to” servicemen.
Honestly. Wished I have found Dalton sooner. They're very friendly, reliable, and have always come even if at such short notice. We had Henry as our technician every time and all I have to say is he is absolutely great, has always fixed all of our problems, and is very knowledgeable. If you get him know you are in good hands!
If your brand-new furnace smells like you’re cooking breakfast the first time it turns on—don’t panic. Ours did too. That “burning bacon” smell definitely got our attention, but as it turns out, it’s completely normal and just residual oils from the manufacturing process burning off. It went away quickly and hasn’t been an issue since. Edit: I’ve updated my review to 5/5. Thanks to the help of Mike Juhl and Casey Holsinger, Dalton addressed and corrected my concerns promptly and professionally. Their responsiveness and commitment to making things right really stood out. Original review: We recently had a new HVAC system installed by Dalton PHC, and overall, the experience was a good one. One thing that really stood out was their turnaround time—we met with them and purchased on 03/25/2026, and they had the new unit fully installed on Saturday, 03/28/2026. That level of responsiveness was impressive. From the beginning, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. They walked us through our options without any pressure, and their pricing came in very reasonable compared to other quotes we received. Installation day was smooth and efficient. The crew showed up on time, got right to work, and treated our home with respect. Everything was up and running as expected, and they made sure we understood how to operate and maintain the system before leaving. Since the install, we’ve noticed a big improvement—more consistent temperatures throughout the house and much quieter operation compared to our old system. Performance-wise, no complaints at all. That said, there are a couple of cosmetic/workmanship details that kept this from being a full 5-star experience. The caulking around both the supply duct and the cold air return was applied pretty heavily without a clean beaded finish, which gives it a somewhat sloppy appearance. Additionally, the cold air return into the furnace doesn’t match the clean look of our original ductwork—the sheet metal fit and finish just isn’t quite as refined. These are purely visual issues and don’t seem to affect how the system runs, but they do stand out. Because of that, I’m giving this a 4 out of 5 stars. Overall, Dalton PHC delivered a solid install at a fair price with great performance. With a little more attention to detail on the finishing touches, this easily would have been a 5-star review.
I use Dalton's monthly subscription service for furnace/AC annual maintenance. That service is fine and the technicians who have come to my house twice a year have always done this task acceptably. On my most recent A/C service, the technician found a capacitor that needed to be replaced & showed me the meter reading proving it. OK, that's fine. The issue is...that is a ~$20 part, which the technician had in his truck already, and is a 10-15 minute replacement job. I was quoted in the neighborhood of $350-450 to do this replacement on the spot, depending on "warranty" (the $350 option was essentially no warranty). This strikes me as predatory behavior; trying to take advantage of people probably not knowing and not willing to find out what it took me 5 minutes to find out when presented with this information and just wanting to get it done and over with in one visit. I declined this repair and called someone else & was quoted less than half what I was quoted by the Dalton technician who was already on site and had the part with him. The fact that this someone else has to charge me for a separate service call on top of the repair work and still charges less than half what I was quoted by someone already onsite with part in hand I would say does not reflect well on what Dalton is quoting for services over and above basic maintenance activities (which I would say are fairly priced). So I guess my review is...their maintenance service is fine, but if they find something, you're probably better off getting someone else to come and fix it.
