My furnace decides to go out when it's zero degrees on a Saturday. I call Cork's and they find the part for my 20 year old furnace. Gil shows up and I'm back in business 30 minutes after he arrives. Can't ask for more than that!!! They do great plumbing work too!

Absolutely do not do business with this man not matter what name he hangs his shingle as. He is a liar and a thief! His father was a good honest man and Shane ran is business into the ground and now goes by Schwartz and Co. heating and cooling. He told us we needed both a new heat and ac unit. To the tune of 14 grand with was suppose to come with a 2,000.00 rebate. He kept our rebate and the install took several months to complete, asked for money in advance so he could make his "payroll" and since we had done business with his fathers company for 17 years we trusted and wanted to help him out. When it came time to turn on the heat it didn't work, took several calls before someone came out. Never worked right, and surprise the air conditioning didn't work either. Neither unit was hooked up properly so we ended up paying 3 grand to another company to fix his mess. Found out when I filed my original BBB complaint under his dad's co name that Shane has done the exact same thing to another family. DO NOT USE THIS GUY!

CALL someone (anyone) else! we had done business with Schwartz for 17 years. They came to service my systems and clean my ducts September 2023, said we needed whole new systems, and since we had done business with them for so long we took their word thinking Shane would be honest. Said he needed a deposit to lock down the manufacturer rebate for us by September 30th, we did it then said he was behind on installs, then was going out of town to see his kids, his employees mom was in the hospital and on and on the excuses went, finally came in November of last year (also, contacted my husband in the meantime and asked that he pay in full, Shane said he was having payroll problems, so having done business with him for so long, we were happy to help him out) guess what, they left and the heater didn't work, blamed it on my new thermostat so I bought another new one, still no heat and by now it's cold! In the meantime my neighbors S-I-L noticed all the exposed wires on my new A/C unit that was also not installed correctly, Summer comes (still no rebate btw) A/C doesn't work. Now he won't return phone calls, had to hire another company to fix his mess to the tune of 1,300. Then found out they cut the wires at both ends of my whole house de-humidifier so now we are paying to replace that. Never saw the 2,000. Rebate because he kept it. This company is NOT one you want to do business with!!

We called fire department yesterday because our carbon monoxide detector went off, they thought it was the flu from the hot water heater, they shut off the hot water heater until somebody could come out and look at things. I called a couple of companies to come out and look at it but Frank at Cork's was the only one that could come out the very next morning. Our carbon monoxide detector went off again this morning, the fire department came out again but I called Frank this time, he had figured out correctly that it was not our hot water heater but indeed our battery backup system for our sump pump. The battery had become old and overcharged and Frank explained that the carbon monoxide reading was coming from a battery that was overcharging and old. the fire department was here at that time when I was on the phone with Frank they disconnected the battery and sure enough our Co level detector stopped. What more can I say about Cork's ! Frank was very knowledgeable and he even saved us a service call by diagnosing this over the phone where other companies didn't know what was going on. I highly recommend this company and Frank, he knows what doing, and he's a straight-up guy. I thank you Frank, and actually the fire department thanks you for this information it was very helpful to them also

Shane came out to provide a quote, but then never showed up for the scheduled repair. I set an entire day aside and disassembled shelving to provide access to a needed vent. He simply didn't show up and then stopped replying to texts and phone calls. I called the office number the day of the appointment and my wife the following day to inquire about rescheduling, and still nothing. Shane completely ghosted us. On top of a complete lack of professionalism, Shane entirely lacks empathy. I expressed to Shane when he was out to create the quote that we were eager to complete the work ASAP as the work (humidity ventilation and air quality control) was needed to curb a mold issue we were experiencing. Until this work was completed, we could not move forward with mold testing in our infant son's nursery and subsequently executing mold remediation. Knowing this, he still no-showed us and went radio silent thereafter. There are countless HVAC companies in the Chicago area. Learn from my mistake and do not put your trust in this Mickey Mouse company.

Hot water heater went out. We called Jensons to replace because they were the original installer. We were quoted $2600 (not including expansion tank) and then reimbursed for the tank after they got the money back from the warranty. Thinking we were getting shafted we asked around and were recommended to Cork's. Not only did they come out next day, they replaced the hot water tank and the expansion tank for 1/5 the cost of what jensons quoted. He was friendly, informative and helpful. He noticed Jensons installed the expansion tank incorrectly and installed the new one correctly. If you are looking for any service with plumbing heating or cooling I recommend Cork's. We will be coming back for all of our needs in the future.

Very happy with their service. I had a heater that was setting off the watchdog timer due to a dirty flame sensor and thus shutting down. Called at 130 pm and had a representative at my home and I hour later. Bill not only fixed the issue but too the time to explain what he was doing，reproduced the failure mode by simulating the issue, and made sure the fix was validated by running a couple of cycles. No hard sell for new parts or even a new unit! Highly recommend Cork. Ask for Bill if he is available.

I wish I could share a good review with everyone, but that is not the case! I’m sure Cork’s has good service, but I couldn’t even get them schedule me for service. Someone initially responded, but when they found out my A/C was running they quickly left and since then I can’t even get a call back to schedule service and I tried getting a hold of Liz with no luck!!! I guess if I’m not buying a new A/C unit I guess I’m not worth the time????!!! Good luck to anyone who uses this company!!!

Frank (President) was quick to return my call with a very competitive price and immediate availability. Had him out and he had that new water heater fired up ready to go in no time (good thing too, wife and two young boys need running hot water!). Seriously impressed with his level of professionalism and meticulous skillset. Truly enjoyed having Frank over and glad I found him! Great guy and couldn't be happier with his work..... and knowledge and appreciation of music!

I honestly couldn't wait to leave a review for Cork's! Frank, the owner responded within minutes of my call, was on site shortly after and had our problem fixed immediately the next morning. I was amazed at how professional, responsive and efficient these guys are! Absolutely no haggling and no bs which was appreciated after being quoted an obscene amount from another company. I highly recommend these guys and will be using them for any future services.

Needed 2 bathroom faucets replaced. Dave came out, was prompt, personable, knowledgeable and professional. Very neat. Was appreciative that we emptied out the vanities and gave him room to work. We've used Cork's several times - replaced toilets, our water heater... Very reasonable and they do excellent work! Save yourself some time Googling and collecting estimates, just call Cork's!

Came out to fix a code 33 on my furnace, overheating. changed the limit switch that took about a hour, never checked the furnace for other problems that could cause the problem and told me to lower the gas valve if the problem persists a highly dangerous thing to do then took the old part to resell to someone else that was in working order. $263.00 bill. Never again Corks
