I called, after hours, with a question about an unusual sound my unit was making. Brock, I believe it was, took the time to talk me thru some things to check, and fixed the problem. I was very happy to actually talk to a person with some technologic background, who could answer some questions.
BMS installed a new Heating and Cooling system. They were here at 8:00 am in 9 degree temperature with tons of ice and snow on the ground. They did an excellent job. They were very reasonable priced. I would refer them to anyone that needs a new heating and cooling system.
BMS is always available to find a solution to heating, cooling, ventilation. I bought my new HVAC unit from them in 2021. I also have a service plan with them for two checkups on the systems twice yearly. This past Sunday I changed the filter in my attic unit and noticed too much dust on the heating unit - there is never dust on it. I texted Brian about the dryer ventilation and I believed it had come undone. Sure enough early the next morning Brian and Andrew were in the attic checking it out and the dryer ventilation hose had come undone. It was fixed in a more secure way and their prompt attention to a problem relieved my worries. No charge for fixing the problem. They are the best!
Actual charge was more than 4X what I was told over the phone. Was t told about the difference until after the work was completed. Sneaky.
This is my first experience with BMS, I have zero complaints. After issues with other hvac servicers in the area trying to find someone to check my mother’s heat pump, dealing with the folks at BMS was a breath of fresh air. It took Brian about 10 minutes or less to identify what was wrong with the system and he was able to offer a repair versus a complete system replacement, unlike the other servicers I dealt with. His price for parts and labor was very reasonable, and even cost less than the estimate he gave me over the phone for the first service call. Brian even offered helpful tips to me to help keep the system running. I feel like they know what they are doing and unlike others don’t feel like a repair is a waste of their time. I’ll be using them at my own house in the future and will keep using them for my mother’s home. I Called BMS to take a look at my mother’s heat pump after Best Virginia came for the 6 month maintenance checkup. Best Virginia did not even change the filter on my mother’s unit, and don’t really think they did any actual maintenance, all I know is my mother called me because 5 people were in her house telling her that she needed a new electrical panel and various outlets replaced in her home, and oh yeah, she would need a complete new heat pump system to replace her current one, they quoted her an outrageous price to leak check her system and for repairs if possible. They also stated that she needed a multi thousand dollar UV light for her unit. My mother told me she felt pressured to make a decision right there based on their sales tactics, and they somehow already knew she had good credit to finance a new system and the other home upgrades they said she needed. We both feel the BV sales team was trying to take advantage of an elderly woman, their last couple of ‘maintenance’ visits were exactly the same, I don’t think they’ve changed the filter in her unit once in 18 months even though she provides them . I tried contacting Teays Valley Heating and Cooling but getting an appointment made with them was next to impossible, the first one we made no one showed up, I made another but whoever or whatever that answer their phones wasn’t able to look up an address and sent repeated text messages asking what service we needed from them, regardless of our answers, we still don’t know if we have an appointment or not. BMS showed up on time and got straight to the issue with no high pressure sales tactics.
Just started there service plan, showed up on time when they said” sent a text on the way 4 a cleaning and the service what there suppose 2 do” looked at everything 2 make sure everything is working an up2 date” They also Put the new A/c unit in 2018” had 1 issue about 3 months after install with the unit” I called BMS at 9pm that night” The owner himself came out that night around 10pm and fixed the problem” That’s the only issue I’ve ever had with the unit” So grateful They have the service plan keep everything up 2 date” ( Also the plan can be 4 any1 and a great deal, my opinion ) I’ve recommended BMS these guys to several people over the years in my neighborhood, and to all of my family members, I would recommend them to anyone who needs an installation by first choice” I just think they do an excellent job, they tie up all the duck work up the way it suppose 2 be” the length is always cut the way it suppose 2 be, that way, they don’t have 2 come back and redo their jobs because it’s done right the first time, the only reason why they had 2 come back and look at mine It wasn’t their fault. It was a manufacturing on the unit that was bad” Stress and worry free to know if I need them any time there available” Thank you BMS heating an Cooling 4 being there for our community”
During the past several months, BMS Heating & Cooling has replaced both a heat pump, which was approximately 15 years old, and a forced air gas furnace, which was over 30 years old, at our primary residence. On both occassions, when we reached out to BMS for estimates to replace the units, they responded promptly with very competitive quotes to perform the services and replace existing equipment. We found their service technicians friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Installation appointments were scheduled promptly and work was completed efficiently. We were very pleased with the HVAC equipment chosen for the installations. Follow-up visits to fine tune the newly installed units have been performed professionally. Overall, we're pleased we chose BMS for these services and would recommend them to other homeowners.
I live in Alabama and my wife (Kathy) lives in Eleanor WV. Long story, but it's the way it is right now. My wife's air conditioning went out and she called several places. Most didn't want to come to Eleanor or they just never called her back. BMS did call her back and gave her an hour time window. Andrew and Gavin showed up with 30 minutes to spare. My wife's air conditioning holes with them as soon as they got out of the vehicle. They came in and looked at what was going on and fixed the problem. We had on place tell us that it was definitely to coil and it would be about $2k to fix. Not the case at all. It was just very low on Freon. I want to thank BMS and especially Andrea and Gavin for helping my wife and also putting up with her and her mom. Lol.

Edit: Andrew, the gentleman who came to address the issue my AC was having was great, he was kind and patient with all my questions, he answered them the way I would understand and he fixed the issue for a reasonable price. Will definitely go with this company again in the future. We had our free inspection for our yearly cleaning when we signed up last fall. They came and checked over our unit and fix a leaking part inside our AC unit and replaced a part in our blower that was going out. Very happy with the service!
We have used BMS before and the owner, Brian Breck, has served us well. Brian came to our rescue again. This time sink and tub faucets dripping. Although he had a big job his crew was working on out of town, he came to our rescue showing us that he doesn’t forget the little guy and appreciated the new sink faucet and shut off valves on the tub. I won’t hesitate to use BMS in the future whether heating and cooling or plumbing. I highly recommend them. My brother and I are happy campers🤗
I highly recommend BMS! Finding out my new location needed two new units could have been very stressful- but BMS made it so easy!
