Wow! AAA Auger is so professional. They sent Ramiro who was very thorough and informative. Our issue was a toilet not flushing. Additionally , the toilet was rocking and needed to be seated. He solved both problems quickly and efficiently. Highly recommend.

AAA Auger has been awesome to work with. We bought a home that had been flipped before the previous owner, and there have been issues galore. Having used other plumbers in the area, they often didn't catch the issues or weren't able to make a full repair. AAA Auger has been out to our house probably 5 or 6 times now, and each time they've done excellent work in a timely manner for a good price. They show loyalty to their customers, and when our pipe broke the first day during this past freeze, they did everything they could to get someone out to us as soon as possible.

AAA Auger has been our go-to plumbing company for many years and we are still high on their responsiveness and quality service. They are fair and knowledgeable and do the work right. It takes several good experiences to gain this level of trust. We're lucky to have them available. Today's service by Tim McGrady was fantastic, easing our concerns about an outside spigot and cutoff valve that had broken. With the impending winter weather and hard freeze, we were very concerned but AAA Auger and Tim put us at ease. It took a morning online request, a call just a few minutes later and Tim was on his way. By early afternoon, it was all done. Thanks Tim and AAA Auger!

i called AAA Auger, and explained to the gentleman in the office that I had 2 other plumbers come and I could give pictures and a smoke test video. He said they would take the information I had and do a visual and give me a free inspection and give me an estimate. The guy came out, told me it would be $437 for his visual, he would dig around under the house a little and look everything over really good. I was already in my feeling with my sewer pipes issues , so not really thinking it through, I allowed the inspection. In hind sights I should have sent him back, because I was mislead. I’m glad I didn’t use them, What else would they have mislead me on.,…. AAA Augers guy pretty much found the same issue the other plumbers found. But AAA Auger quoted me an extremely higher price!! I decide to call one more company, with years of experience, who actually honored their free estimate. They were in the same price range as the first 2 Companies. I did Not trust AAA Auger, so I did not use them…

Three years ago we had a leaking gas pipe at Christmas. They over charged, used a trencher to replace the line and tore up every utility in the ground, without even owning up to doing it. Three years ago, almost to the day, the risers near the house failed, which they put in. Yes, dealing with the nightmare of gas/city inspector yet again.

I chose AAA because of all the glowing reviews. Unfortunately I had a very different experience. The good: easy to schedule on phone and they came on time. 2nd Tech did unclog the drain. The bad: everything else. Most notably - a near-miss on contracting for very expensive, and totally unnecessary repairs. I initially tried to schedule them via their web, but got no response. So after a couple of days, I called them, and was able to schedule service at that point. They came when they were supposed to. The tech got the auger out, and went to the cleanout on the side of the house. After struggling with it for a while, he decided that the auger cable was too big to make it through the turns in the pipe. So he got the small auger out of the truck, and ran it through. It wasn't long enough to reach the clog. He said we needed the MEDIUM auger, but he didn't have one. OK - these things happen. So he called, and arranged for another tech to come out later. The new tech brought out the medium auger a couple hours later. He cleared the drain, but nothing came back on the head that would indicate what caused the clog. He said the work was guaranteed for 6 months, but if they came back out, they'd recommend running a camera through the pipe to see what the real problem was. And they'd do that for half the normal fee of $380. A week later, and the drain is blocked again. I call, get a tech scheduled, and again, he (Tech #2) comes on time. He runs the auger again to clear the clog, and then runs the camera into the drain. The camera is useless, as the display is solid black. He doesn't have another camera, so he calls in to have another tech bring by another camera. I wait about 45 minutes for the other tech to arrive, and they set up the new camera, and fish through the pipe. He goes in probably 15 feet or so, and says "There's the problem! you've got a "belly" in the pipe. I ask him to explain, and he describes it as an area where the pipe has a low spot. I asked why a low spot would cause a backup, since drain pipes commonly have traps (which are low spots by design). These don't generally cause backups, as long as there's higher pipe upstream, and lower pipe downstream. He made a weak attempt at explaining it. I said I didn't understand, and he said he didn't know how to explain it any better than that. I also pointed out that water WAS flowing through this belly. He fed the camera further, and came to a spot where the pipe cross-section was a bit narrower, and he declares THAT'S the problem. He tells me that my 50 year-old cast iron pipe has collapsed there, and that's why it keeps clogging. He gets out the Locator which he moves around above ground, to detect exactly where the camera head was - and therefore where the pipe was bad. He says it's in the middle of our den floor, though he didn't seem to be able to find the exact location. And he was yelling over to the other tech at various times to move the camera in or out of the pipe a few feet here and there, or turn on the locator. After failing to get a good location, we go back out to the cleanout so he can make sure the other tech had things set right, we see that the camera display has a bunch of text displayed over the picture, and they had no idea why, or how to turn that off. So they fiddle with it, and eventually get that to go away. By this time I'd had enough, as a result of the multiple problems with them having the wrong equipment, or bad equipment, or confusion on how to use the good equipment, compounded by his inability or unwillingness to explain what was going on. While I still expected at that point that I needed major repairs, I just didn't have confidence in AAA to do them, do them right, etc. So I calmly told him it was time to wrap things up. I'd pay them the $190 for this service call but then we were done. I decided to get a 2nd opinion from another plumber I'd worked with before. The tech apologized several times, and while that was nice, it didn't change my mind. He blamed it on the bad equipment they gave him, and I politely said I didn't care whose fault it was - it's all AAA. As he was leaving, he commented that some folks are hard to please, and then was obviously angry, slamming doors in his truck. I wondered then if my decision had cost him a commission (some plumbing companies pay their plumbers commission for sales). The other plumber came out, used his camera (for less than the $190 half-price AAA fee), and said my pipes were fine. The narrowed areas are just where some sediment has built up. The clogs were due to the fact that we had installed a new (low-flow) toilet a few months ago. The low-flow toilet, coupled with using Charmin in old cast iron pipes (with lots of rough spots inside) commonly causes clogs. So the fix, rather than expensive tunneling under our slab and replacing pipes, is to change toilet paper to one that dissolves better.

There are a lot of great aspects to owning your own home but, when things go wrong, you will re-think every last one of them. There were plumbing issues happening past the resolution skills of the big box plunger, and even the 'do it yourself' drain snake...it was time to "call someone". Why is calling a plumber one of the most hated tasks of life? The appearance of the guy who shows up at the door? The surprise bill that knocks you over at the end of the job? Not knowing exactly what they are doing with "the best seat in the house"? Wondering when they are going to show up? AAA Auger addresses these issues as well as what's going on with the pipes. After spending the night in a hotel (we are accustomed to indoor plumbing...) I called the next morning. The phone was answered quickly and professionally and I was told that everyone was currently out on a job but I could be placed on the waiting list and that someone would be able to come the same day but it might be later in the day. Since we were in a hotel, I was OK with that. About 20 minutes later, I received a call that someone was available and he could be at my house in 20 minutes. I asked for 30 and we rushed home to find the van waiting for us! Now, here's where the fears of calling a plumber start to further disappear....the van is unmistakable...it's not some independent dude showing up in a pickup truck that he probably takes hunting on the weekends. The vans are white and clean (and stocked with all the equipment one might need) with the company name in red on the sides. The plumber was in black pants with a red company shirt and, even though my floors are nothing to write home about, he put blue booties on over his work boots whenever he came inside. He assessed the situation and, before starting any work, wrote up a quote for what he needed to do. What? I already know how much it's going to cost? This is REALLY the price? Hmmmm....has to be a catch in here somewhere...OH, what's the hourly rate?!?! Oh, there is none? Well, OK, then let's proceed! He worked outside for about an hour, clearing the pipes of some roots that had invaded, and then let me watch over his shoulder as he used the "See Snake" to visually inspect the rest of the pipe running the length of the house (a nice way for me to tell if I might have any foundation issues going on!) I was informed and kept in the loop every step of the way which helped me learn a little bit more about my house. He also wrote up a quote for how much it would cost to completely repair the pipe, should I decide to do that in the future, but there was no pressure or unnecessary drama to make me believe I needed to schedule that right away. It was all over as quickly as it had started and it was about as painless as it could be. I printed off a $20 coupon from their website which was happily accepted and there were no surprise fees added on. Not long after he left, I received a follow-up call from the office making sure the problem had been fixed and that I was satisfied with the service. Definitely! I originally found this business on the Shepherd's Guide website and then came to Yelp to check out other reviews. I know not everyone's experience is perfect, and there are 3 sides to every story (yours, theirs and the truth), but I'm making this review my first Yelp review because I had a great experience. I know there are other homeowners like me who, at some point, are going to need to "call someone" and I want to recommend AAA Auger as someone you can trust with your investment of your home. Now, if anyone asks me if I can recommend a plumber, I'm able to say why yes, I DO have a plumber AND one I can feel good referring to other people!

This is my second time using AAA Auger Plumbing Services and they will continue to be the first call I make should I have another plumbing issue in the future. There is no charge for them to come out and do an estimate and they are open 24 hours and available on the weekends too. HUGE plus, because you know that 99.9% of plumbing (or any other) issues seem to primarily occur after hours or on weekends...or is that just me? When I called, the dispatcher gave me an estimate of how long it would take for them to come out (busy day) and made sure that I would be okay with that. She also promised to call again and let me know that they were on their way within 30-40 minutes of arrival - which they did. I really appreciated this because it kept me from being held hostage in the house all day waiting for them like some companies make you do! I ran a few other errands and they called me soon after I got home to say that they were headed my way. I had the same tech (Juan) that had come out the first time. I can't say enough about how kind, courteous and polite he was! First of all, he wore disposable footies (extra points for respecting the carpet, lol!). I don't wear shoes in my home and am even neurotic enough to have a bucket of footies at the door for my guests. I didn't even have a chance to offer him any because he already had his own on. I also appreciate the fact that he took the time to explain the problem, how it happened and he also gave me tips on how to avoid having these issues recur the future (rather than just fixing it, taking my money and leaving). ;-) I don't often take the time to write reviews, but if the service I received had been equally as bad, I would definitely be having a conversation with somebody's supervisor, so why not commend an exceptionally good job? :-) I've already recommended this company to friends and neighbors, so please keep up the great work (my name is on the line now, LOL!). I also hope that someone from the company takes the time to read these reviews and recognizes Juan for his consistently exceptional service. I'm sure this isn't the easiest job to have and probably a pretty horrible day for most people who have to contact a plumber in the first place, so it makes a difference to deal with dispatchers and techs that are always pleasant. Thank you all again! :-)

Horrible experience. After two days could never get a plumber to my house. They couldn't tell me when and said they dispatch plumbers based on your proximity to their current job. Of course they never told me this when they gave me "courtesy calls" saying they were really busy but would get to me soon. If you want help, call another company. Update: And here is the company's response via BBB. Yes plumbing issues are frustrating. Wasting two days on a company that gives false hope they will help is worse. But hey glad you have an efficient manner to operate your business. Kudos for the honesty and response I suppose. "Thank you for giving us an opportunity. We sincerely strive to provide timely service. We have our company organized in service zones. This is unquestionably the most efficient manner to operate. Your review confirms that we effectively communicated that we were trying to get a plumber to you. By your own admission, we stayed in touch with you numerous times letting you know that we were still delayed. Because we never know how long any job may take, it makes it impossible to accurately predict our subsequent service response. Unfortunately, with the last hard freeze, there are not enough plumbers industry wide in the DFW metroplex to have kept up with the demand. We added your service request to our queue and communicated that we would try to get you a plumber as quickly as possible and that we would stay in communication. I sincerely wish that we could have responded sooner. We truly understand the frustration that plumbing problems cause. Thanks again for the opportunity and we are sorry we were unable to help." *** Best of luck? I didn't need luck, just a company that would actually help. You aren't it. How would you know what the work was when you never sent or planned to send anyone to our house? Hoping one person sees this and decides to choose another company given how you operate. Consumers deserve to know when a company fails. If that is "smearing" so be it.

Well, all good things come to an end, sadly. I had been a satisfied AAA Auger customer for several years, and had appreciated their prompt services at very reasonable prices. All that changed since yesterday. I called the Irving office yesterday afternoon requesting service to fix a couple of bathroom faucets. A plumber was dispatched immediately, and after unscrewing the two faucet handle covers, he explained that some parts are missing/broken, and that he will have to get them the next day (i.e., today). He also gave me a price of around $470 for repairing both faucets, and emphasized that if I had to replace the two faucets, the labor charges would have been much more, and how lucky I was that these can be repaired, etc. I swallowed this argument, and agreed. He showed up today morning with two parts, one for each faucet. They appeared to be two similar looking plastic cylinders with threads on them. It took him about 2-3 minutes to drop in each part into each open faucet handle and screw the faucet covers in. That was it! I was then presented with the bill, in which the parts cost was $22, and the labor was $448. I had anticipated a complex procedure for repairing the faucets to justify the labor charges, so this bill appeared extremely inflated. I talked to the manager, who gave me a discount of $50, but also gave a lecture on how the bill was very reasonable and that we are paying for the knowledge of a licensed plumber, which naturally will be much higher than general handymen, and so on. Well, I had hired their licensed plumbers in the past, and they had changed toilets, fixed plumbing leaks, etc., all of which appeared far more complex and laborious. And the charges had never been more than $250 per service call. After this rip-off, I am looking elsewhere for my plumbing needs.

I was impressed with the quick service appt and tge honest and professional service. I will be calling them for future plumbing needs. Few years ago I had a tree root that clogged my sewer line and had AAA Plumber come out to clear the pipe after a stoppage. Last couple of weeks I notice slow drainage from my guest bath toilet and got concerned with possible regrowth or new tree root issue. On Sunday night it was very slow so before any accident I called AAA Auger. They answered on a Sunday and scheduled someone to come out Monday by 3 (I requested Mon since it wasn't an emergency to work around my schedule). I received couple calls Monday letting me know their ETA. Around 3p, Juan arrived. Very professional and helpful. He went over everything with me, checked all my drains (not just guest toilet), visually checked both drains outside to see if I truly had a clog, tested flow of water from flush and by turning on all water, etc. After few checks and showing me results and explaining everything he informed me I didn't have a clog but that perhaps those few times were just slow flush/drain. He honestly explained everything and said he didn't need to run the snake and charge me bc that would be unnecessary expense. Rather he gave me some tips on what to do, estimate of work if it does clog and requires service, and left after 45min of checking everything out. He could've done the unnecessary work and charged me, but instead he was honest and provided true service and help(tips). Within an hour I received a call following up with the service and wondering why I decline service to see if it was due to any dissatisfaction. I explained and gave them praise for being honest and the great service by Juan.

My first experience with AAA was last Christmas (2018) when my family came from out of town. I had just bought an old 1948 flip house bungalow in Fort Worth and they were actually staying there while I was on a skip trip. The minute I landed to go home, my dad told me about how a toilet clogged, which then backed up all of the showers (ew). My dad called 2 local plumbers to try and give them business. That was Christmas Eve. Both of them quoted between 10-15k. I arrived Christmas morning and my dad told me all of this. I just bought this house and was freaking out. So my dad sought out one more opinion and THANKFULLY it was this company!!! Eric came over within hours, mind you, this was a holiday. He didn't even need any explanations and told us the issue. He told me how the plumbing layout is in my house, he knew literally anything and everything. It was a simple clog. He fixed it up in no time. I was baffled because I was told the problem was so extensive from the others and yet he had a simple solution. Now, I no longer live there but have tenants. I was on vacation and they ran into a plumbing issue and called plumbers without consulting me (not AAA) and sent me quotes from them. Again, 5k-15k and suggesting I need a whole new system. The other company also scared my tenants into thinking that "sewage gas" was being exuded from the pipes. I called my guy Eric and he went over and told them the REAL issue and he is going to fix it. I truly think he is excellent as his job and he's so nice and respectful. Highly, highly recommend!

I called this company after recommendation from a co-worker that had used them in the past. I called on a Saturday at 2pm. A crystal answered the phone and I explained what my issues where she stated someone could be out on Sunday to give me an estimate. I thought this was great. She said it would be after 8am and they would call. Well I waited till 12pm no call so I called. Same woman answered that I spoke to yesterday. I told her I had been waiting for a plumber. She took my info and stated no appointment was showing for me. She looked again, had me give her my address which she kept misspelling, including my name and came back and said no appointment. I stayed home waiting for a plumber that was never going to show up. What really upset me though is the woman that answers the phone. She's either doing to many things at once or just doesn't care! Because yesterday also I spelled and gave her my address multiple times, including my phone number. Today when I called back we went through the same process and then she would repeat nonsense back to me. When she said i had no appointment today I politely said thanks and hung up. I'll take my business elsewhere. Update 6/16/19 I received a call from Kyle the owner not up to an hour after my Yelp review. He stated he had review the conversation I had with the lady and apologize. Not only did he apologize but he wanted to find out how to correct the issue. He got a plumber out here, who was great at his job and did it fast. I appreciate them rectify the issue.

I'm seeing six 5 star reviews and I'm writing a 7th! Here's how it went down: After coming home from a wedding reception, I noticed a strange noise where the water heater is. So I open that door, and guess what? Water gushing everywhere!! OMG what oh what?? So I turn off the "emergency shut off valve" - not working! So I go to shut the water off for the entire house. Now where did I put that special tool? Oh yeah, I don't have one. Crap! I had to call the fire department to shut the water off. It's midnight, on a Saturday, and the next day is Mother's Day. And I need a shower (read - I'm not smelling that great). So Sunday morning I start calling to find someone to replace this water heater which apparently should have been replaced like 10 years ago. Five places (including Home Depot) no answer. Then I called this place. A very pleasant man answered the phone at 8:30 on a Sunday morning. I explained the problem. He's like "oh sure we can fix that. I'll have someone there in 30 minutes." I'm thinking I'm dreaming all this right? Because where are you going to find a plumber to come out at 9:00 on Sunday morning on Mother's Day? Sure enough, 30 minutes later "Dave" showed up. Real nice. By 11:00 I had a new water heater. By 11:30 I was able to wash off the stank from the night before. Were they expensive? Yeah probably, but what's it worth to you to get the water back on in your house? Use these guys for your next emergency - they were GREAT!!

I can't say enough about this company. We bought our 30 year old home about 6 months ago and within the last 2 months ALL of the plumbing went to hell. We had everything fixed quickly and professionally by AAA Augers best tech named Chris. This guy is such a professional, knowledgable, five star class act. Chris worked so hard repiping the whole house through the attic after the slab leak, he fearlessly crawled 30 feet under the house through a tiny tunnel to replace our main sewer line that was busted by tree roots, and he seriously injured his leg working in a deep pit they had dug in the front yard to get to the rest of the sewer line that needed to be replaced. He was so committed to getting things fixed up and done right he went to the hospital, they stitched up his leg and he came back to work that same day!!! I'm also so impressed that after realizing they'd accidently totally ruined our lawn they had a lawn care company put down sod!! They didn't have to, they even stipulate in their contract that they're not responsible for damage to landscaping. Y'all, we even had to replace the gas line from the meter up to the house because of a leak. Chris and all the guys at AAA Auger really took care of us. By the end of it all, after so much that went wrong and all the time we spent dealing with this company the past few months I'm certain without a doubt there's no better plumber out there and we will always rely on them for our plumbing needs.
