Very prompt service. Ernesto was thorough, efficient, and he provided tips for future prevention. He was also very conscientious in cleaning up and ensuring I felt the work was complete.

A backed up drain hates to see Sean coming! Absolute flawless execution from 24/7 Rooter & Plumbing. Best experience I’ve ever had with a plumber. Arrived quickly & worked efficiently. Overall, 10/10 positive experience. Will be using again and recommending. Thanks Sean!

I am so appreciative of Sean and 24-7 Rooter and Plumbing. At 7:30 on a Saturday night our toilets and shower were backing up. Sean arrived just over an hour later, explained the options and cleared the line before it got messy. He is knowledgeable, helpful and left our home clean.

Ruined the bathroom. We had some slow drains so we called 24-7 Rooter to come snake the lines. they fished the snake into a few places, notably the overflow drain in the bathtub. The problem came months later when I filled the tub for a bath (I usually shower instead) and when the water level hit the overflow it drained down into the unit below. I inspected the drain and saw that the seal had been broken where it connects inside the tub and there were wads of putty trying to hold it together. Without any way to repair this without removing the tub I am now in the process of renovating the entire bathroom. There is NO WAY the plumber didn't know that he broke it. The putty was an unacceptable, sneaky fix. Caveat emptor, there is a clause in the contract releasing them from liability from any pipe damage caused by the cleaning BUT THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME.

The company way overcharged for the service. They came last March to clear a sewer blockage. The process took approximately half an hour from the time they arrived to the time they left. Itemized invoice states: Attempt to clear your main drain from an outside access point using an electric snake - $395 Main or branch line hydro jetting only (easy access). - $1250 I paid the amount to get the job done, despite the egregious price gouging. A couple days later I contacted them, but I never got the follow up I was promised. The reason I bring it up now is because the San Francisco Standard recently ran an article "Plumbers cash in from SF's crappy sewer system." The article includes discussion of the hydro jetting (which cost me $1250 for an easy access sewer line). "Pre- and post-rain pipe cleaning ... is done with drain snakes and a tool called a "jetter," which uses water pressure to blast away debris that cause clogs. The price of this service depends on the time of day: It starts at $250 an hour, rising to $375 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and $500 after 6 p.m. The service I received was on a nice sunny day and there were none of the conditions that might require an extra cost. If plumbers in the Standard article are "cashing in" and charge $250 per hour to clear a sewer line, charging five times that amount (on top of $395 for the snaking procedure that lasted a few minutes and did not work) is ripping off customers and price gouging. I realize that plumbers have costs beyond the time spent on the job, so expect a relatively high hourly rate. I do not expect to pay five times the hourly rate for a common and simple procedure if the plumber has the equipment. If you use this company, ask them in advance how much it costs for them to show up and what their hourly rate is after that. I'm not sure what I could have done when the charges are presented after the work is done. Based on the Standard article (and my previous experience with plumbers, including Cabrillo) $250 an hour for service is customary and reasonable. What 24/7 charged me is so far out of the normal range that I would suggest no one ever use them.

Updated on 4-28-26 Mike came back today at my request. A week or so after his visit on 4-14-26 where he came to clear a downspout that had overflowed (as well as check the reason for water under the kitchen sink), we had additional rain and I had another overflow from the downspout. We tried to clear it ourselves but simply didn’t have the right tools or skills. I called them and requested that they please send Mike back one afternoon this week, before we get any more rain. No problem, I was told, and Mike was here on time at 2. He and my son took the downspout apart off the house and upended it. It turns out that two large pieces of stucco had landed down the spout and got stuck at a joint and leaves got blocked behind them, thus the overflow. Mike had cleared the spout below the joint on the first visit and none of us considered there was further blockage above the joint as well. Over the past few years Mike has come and “saved my bacon” every time. 24/7 Router & Plumbing is a terrific company. Updated on 4-15-26 Once again, Mike saved my bacon yesterday. I got up in the morning and went to make a cup of coffee only to discover there was an unexpected and remarkable amount of water under my kitchen sink, by that I mean like 2 inches of standing water that had soaked through the floor of the cabinet, which had turned into a wooden sponge, and there was more standing. I had never seen anything like it in 40 years of living in this house. I cleaned out the mess as best I could, made my coffee, sat down and called with wonderful company and asked if they could send someone out as soon as possible and they initially gave me an appointment time of later in the morning. I was dreading the news of what had caused it and how much it would cost to repair it, but it turns out I didn’t have it seems it was a busier day for them than they anticipated and Mike wasn’t able to come out until early afternoon, but he was, as usual, courteous, and professional. The company kept me posted on about when they expected him to arrive, which was very helpful. And he was quickly able to determine the cause and remedy it. It seems that one of the plastic connectors between the drain pipe had become loosened somehow, and when the dishwasher had been run a couple of days prior at some point, the connection separated and it drained into the cabinet instead of down the drain. The good news is that it was a simple fix and not a costly repair job. In future, we will need to make sure that the connection is tight by checking it every month or so. I didn’t even know plastic connections could loosen because the rest of the house is piped in metal and never realized it could be a thing. We removed the garbage disposal a few years ago and the piping to replace it from the kitchen drain and the dishwasher is plastic and not metal and now we know what to do to keep this from happening again. And as long as Mike was here, asked him to check a much smaller amount of water that had seeped into the garage during a recent rain storm. We couldn’t determine where it was coming from, and my concern was that it might’ve come from my bathtub, and I was looking at a very, very expensive repair. It turns out it was coming from a downspout that had apparently been obstructed with some leaves, and it was a very quick fix for him to open the clean out and flush it. The bill for all of this was incredibly reasonable and much less than I feared it would be. Mike is a consummate professional who knows his plumbing and he knows how to treat customers and you should not hesitate to call them to get his help or one of his colleagues help when you have a plumbing problem Original review July 2023: Twice in two years they have saved my bacon, so to speak. Today Mike came out and snaked my kitchen drain down 42 feet and replaced the trap with PVC. We discussed prices for other potential future jobs, but for now today’s work was enough of a hit. He was prompt, very personable, and neat. A pleasure to chat with and I’m delighted to have my kitchen drain working again.

They answer the phone 24-7. This does not mean they will actually provide you a service 24-7. Called at 11pm for a toilet that wouldn't stop filling up (albeit slowly), and risked overflowing/flooding our bathroom. Spoke to Shelby (who was lovely; this review has nothing to do with her), who explained they'd get a call out, I should be contacted by a plumber in roughly 45min to an hour. No call. Call back at 12:30am. Shelby again. Apologetic, sends the request out again, emphasizes that it's urgent. No call. 2:30am, exhausted, freaked out about our toilet, frustrated by the lack of response, we call again. We get Nia. Same drill. Asked to clarify what a realistic timeline should be, just in case we misunderstood something earlier. "Well, you would typically get a phone call about an hour later." THREE AND A HALF HOURS LATER, we never received a phone call. Nothing. We gave you two phone numbers and plenty of time. I think we were more than patient. So now, if we're lucky, we will be taking naps, waking every other hour to go drain a toilet bowl, and calling a professional, RELIABLE plumber first thing in the morning, but honestly, I doubt I can sleep at this point. You didn't just waste our time, you messed with our sleep. Do you know how hard it is to recover from what is essentially an "all-nighter"?! Unforgivable, and unprofessional. And please, spare me your nonsense copy-and-paste apology. It means absolutely nothing. You can't give me my time back. You can't magically free up my schedule so we can get that sleep back. I doubt I'll even nap, I'm probably looking at staying up all night until 8am when I can call someone else. I am sleep-deprived, cranky, and salty as hell at this point. The only thing I can do is tell people to go ANYWHERE else. You lie about the services you provide, and people need to know that. I hope you step on Lego bricks barefoot every day for eternity.

In early December I returned from a trip at 1 AM on a rainy night just in time to see water coming out of a basement drain. I called several firms in a hurry; 24-7 answered the phone immediately and made me an appointment for the next morning. (Maybe their crews were working other emergencies all night, but I might as well have waited until everyone started taking calls in the morning.) Fortunately no-one from the city came by meanwhile to see how I got the sewage out of my basement. Their first plumber came the next morning. He did snake out a root ball or two but couldn't get the line flowing that way. I upgraded to the hydrojet (discounted by the price of the snaking) and that did the job for the time being. The hydrojet also came with a camera inspection, which I scheduled for a couple of days later. The second plumber got the camera only partway to the street. We saw water still in the line, meaning that it hadn't really been cleared yet. He gave me an estimate for replacing the line which turned out to be higher than some other firms, though not outrageous. He was not a clear enough communicator to give me a good feeling about the estimate, nor had the firm's work thus far given me a good feeling. That night we had another hard rain and the line backed up into my basement again, a bit higher that it had before. Fortunately my basement was prepared for flooding by then and nothing of value got wet. The snake/hydrojet job was warrantied, so 24-7 returned, snaked again, and finally got the snake all the way to the street. I'd have been happier had the job been done completely the first time. I'd also be happier if every step of the process didn't feel like bait and switch: 2 AM phone call to sometime-next-day arrival, snake to jet to camera to line replacement. Maybe that's just how it worked out, but at no point did they give me a reason to recommend them.

Cannot recommend you stay away enough. I had what I suspected was a broken main pipe. The cost to replace that would be over 10k. My desire was for plumbers to diagnose if it is a broken main pipe and then to give bids. So I scheduled multiple plumbers to come out. 24-7 came out first but they arrived late. When they got there I explained the situation. They gave me the option to either snake or hydro-jet. I decided to have them snake it. When they snaked the drain they put their snake down which they said was 100 feet. They fed it all the way in and then immediately pulled it out. Maybe 5 minutes worth of time was taken to do that. They said they could not unclog the drain without the hydrojetter. They also told me that the device was back in their SFO office. So they would need to leave to go all the way back up and come back. Why you would forget a critical piece of equipment on such a long trip is beyond me. By the time they got back the next plumber would have arrived to take a look and give me a quote. They asked for full payment for the 5 minutes of work that they barely attempted. That price was more than 3 times the price of the normal price as I found out from every other plumber that came out. The next plumbers came and with a shorter snake were able to get to the root of the problem and it was a broken main pipe being infiltrated by roots. That group got to bid on the project along with other plumbers. The project ended up being around 15k with a few additional requests I had. All in all 24-7 did a terrible job on both providing a service and customer service.

Be careful don't rely at the other reviews. They'll scam you and keep up charging you and add hidden costs that you didn't originally plan for. Lack of communication. Never on your side. They don't want to help you. They just want your money. Don't listen the reviews. The "diamond" rating is bullshit. I reached out to other plumbers in the middle of my project and explain to them what happened and they all told me they were scamming me and screwing me over. Alot of issues should of been presented to me instead of in a middle of a project. They'll keep up charging you. My technician didn't know what he was doing most of the time. He only kept saying there's another issue. Lucky for him I won't mention his name here as he has a family and I'm not fucked up. But he definitely wasn't helping, just kept screwing us over. They only time they'll reply to you is when payment is due. Please avoid this business at all cost despite their reviews. It's a different time (2023) with inflation, all they care about is money. They might be good in previous years, but before you decide to go with them, check other services first. They'll use a sales tactic to lock "discount" prices to make you go with them. This is just a summary with my experience. If I'm bored I'll make another review. I would of gave them a good review if they often me a discount, but I knew they wanted to be done with me.

Avoid at all costs. I was paired with this company through American Home Shield (AHS) insurance for a garbage disposal replacement. It's been a horrible experience all round. A technician came out to inspect the problem. He barely looked at anything and didn't even test the garbage disposal but confidently said that the motor was burned and would need to be replaced. He also told me that my pipe would leak any minute and needed to be replaced. He quoted that costing me over $500 and that insurance wouldn't cover it. I was able to fix the garbage disposal later myself by looking up YouTube videos and just resetting it. I had another plumber look at the pipe who said it looked completely fine and did not need to he replaced. This business is a scam. They just try to make money by deceiving people. I called them and asked them to cancel AHS service request since I was able to fix the garbage disposal myself. They never returned to my home to repair anything else, but they claimed to AHS that they came on a day that I wasn't even home and marked service as complete for the insurance company to get paid. Now I'm unable to get a refund for my service fee from AHS because they claimed that they completed the service. Complete fraud. Do not use them. They will make up issues to fix to get money and then claim that they repaired something when they never even set foot in your home!

24-7 Rooting & Plumbing (24/7 R&P) really came thru for me. I called a couple of companies prior to contacting 24/7 R&P. One company did not answe, because they were, not yet, opened for service when I called. The second company scheduled me 2-hrs from my call. But 24-7 R&P came within 1/2 hour to address my problem. The spigot in my back patio could not be turned to shut-off. Water kept strongly flowing, non-stop, from the spigot. I capped it with a hose, but it was difficult to attach, with water spraying everywhere and on myself. 24/7 R&P sent Maynor to the rescue. He was very friendly. He assessed my issue and knew exactly what to do. He turned off the main water shut-off valve. It was also difficult to turn, which he to use tools to do so. Maynor went to his truck and brought a brand new spigot. He attached it with ease, but securely, and tested for leaks and steady flow. The job didn't take long at all. This was a Saturday, and Maynor, also let me know, that 24/7 R&P weekend rate is the same as their weekday rate. I can't say enough about 24/7 R&P and Maynor. They were reliable, prompt, and attentive to my issue. They prevented what could have been damage and more expensive a job. I, highly, recommend folks contact 24-7 R&P for plumbing needs. They deserve a well-earned high-5 star rating from me.

Started off great with an emergency service to happen within the hour. Unfortunately we didn’t see anybody for over 2hrs when I kept calling to see where the tech was. Got no info back. Then when he got here. He did not ask what’s going on but went straight to the landlord and spoke only i spanish. The landlord translated a line and I said loud enough ty for translating since I do t understand. They kept speaking in Spanish and again the tech did not ask me whats going on. When I then told him in detail he said ok ty for that info then turned to the landlord n began in Spanish again. All I. All the tech totally dismissed me. On top of that. They did not fix the issue and the landlord is now blaming the tech for this. My landlord is terrible so I don’t believe he told the tech to check something 3 times. I then called to speak to a supervisor about this review before posting. The girl on the phone was nice but I never got a return call or anybody to even say wow I’m sorry. I do not recommend this company. Start to finish. (Except the woman on the phone) has been a total waste of time and left me wondering what in the hell type of customer. Service that was. I called to have someone call back since we have a warranty. But haven’t heard anything since yesterday at 2. Terrible company

In summary: plumber left literal sh*t on the walls. Yeah. We hired 24-7 Rooter & Plumbing two months ago, thanks to the mounds of dental floss and hair clumps the previous owners dumped into the toilet. The guy they sent that last time was great -- efficient, knowledgeable, patient, and took extra care to ensure he didn't leave mud (or other nasty substances) in his wake. Great. That's why when we needed services again and 24-7 said they'll take us, and quickly, I was thrilled. What I got for my loyalty was smeared poop on the walls, the door frame, the outside of the toilet bowl, and the sides AND inside of the bathtub. I'm not sure if it was mud or also poop that was left on our floor but I don't want to know. So for 15 minutes of service, we spent 90 cleaning floors and -- I cannot stress this enough -- wiping the mixture of our poop, the previous owners' poop, and whatever was left on this guy's tools from our walls. We may also need to hire a deep cleaning service for the carpet because I have no reason to believe this guy was any more careful not to drip poop water all over it. So if you'd like a poop-mural on your walls for the bargain price of $860, go for 24-7 Rooter & Plumbing! Or, you know, find a toddler to smear poop on your walls for free.

There are very mixed reviews for this company. For everyone that had a positive experience, I'm truly happy for you. May your pipes run smoothly for time eternal. Unfortunately I must join the ranks of those who had a negative experience (incidentally, 149 of these reviews are hidden due to Yelp's inscrutable algorithm). As others have reported, John D was a pleasant fellow: smart, punctual, knowledgeable. And, as others have reported, the cost estimate for the job was outrageous and unreasonable. The details don't matter - it seems that the price inflation can happen for anything from unclogging a toilet to replacing a water heater. Worse, the estimate was not itemized at all, except to note which components were free. We called to find out what they could possibly be basing that estimate on, and were shined on for a while until we were finally connected to a supervisor. This person readily admitted that the estimate was not based on anything concrete, but rather a secret spice blend of parts, labor, and whimsy. Regardless of whether the job took half an hour or five hours, the cost was the cost! The best I can say about all that is that after agreeing to disagree on the reasonableness of that approach, we got our dispatch fee refunded.
