This is the second time that I have used Universal Plumbing and had the pleasure of working with Martin both times. The first time I had ghost flushing toilets which I had TWO different plumbers address and it wasn't until Martin came out that the problem was finally corrected. This time around I had a leaking garbage disposal, which was replaced by Smart Plumbers previously. I hadn't noticed the leak until a can which I kept under the sink for cooking grease disposal was full when I took it out. I was confused and then I realized it was water. I didn't bother with Smart and just called Martin. I scheduled for today, got a call and he arrived. Upon inspection he said that it had not been tightened properly. Seriously!? He told me he could tighten it but I opted for a new one. I appreciated that he didn't come out and say it needed replacement. Super nice people and great work. Sometimes it's better to go with the smaller guys. Highly recommend!

Amazing job installing a new water heater. My old one was having scary misfires after 13 years, and Martin was able to come quickly ans fix it the same day. He suggested replacing it given its age and also replaced the existing lines and exhaust vent. Will definitely call Universal again, thank you!

Thumbtack connected us when I found myself in an alarming situation. Our kitchen sink was leaking and my husband tried to repair it only to make it worse! Martin was the first company to respond and said he could be here within the hour. He was so professional, such a great communicator and very responsive to our needs. The repair was completed promptly, taking less than an hour. A few days later a small leak at the base of my new faucet appeared. I called them right away because they guarantee all their work. Martin returned with a smile on his face and replaced my entire faucet with an upgrade to ensure the problem would not occur again! It is rock solid now and I am thrilled! Great customer service! I had a leaky kitchen faucet and bought a new one to replace it. I thought it should be a fairly straightforward job, but the mounting bolt was rusted tight. After hours of trying to removed it and even trying to drill it off we reached out to Universal Plumbing & Rooter. They were very responsive online and sent out Martin the next morning. When he arrive he had the tools to remove the previous faucet. He offered to install the new faucet and since he did such an efficient job at the previous removal I took him up on it. Installation was super fast and the new faucet works great. He cleaned up any mess he left and was on his way. Great work and professionalism by Martin! Would use him again and highly recommend using Universal Plumbing & Rooter.

Martin was the first to respond to my “emergency” via the thumbtack app. I dropped a brand new silver and diamond bracelet my mom just gave me, in the bathroom sink. I don’t know anything about taking apart the under sink pipes so I was all for paying someone else to do it. He communicated with me on when he would arrive and was punctual. He retrieved the bracelet and all was right in the world :) The $100 charge was sooo worth the 15min job, plus peace of mind I now have with the bracelet back in my possession and out of the sink pipe. Saturday visit to my mom‘s turned out to be a plumbing problem. Called several companies and only universal plumbing was able to give come out in a reasonable time. When Martin showed up, he diagnosed the problem and we discussed options. Martin spent the time to make sure the job was done correctly and with a 30 day guarantee. I am very happy with the pricing and with the way, Martin showed concern to get the job done for us. Martin was very responsive and helped schedule the appointment since the clog was urgent . He arrived within the window he mentioned and notified earlier . Took a look at the clog and fixed it . Made sure the drain happened afterward and cleaned up the overflow as well. He also took a look at one other aerator issue on one of the pipes in sink and recommended what to do so it does not cost much . Overall was very satisfied on service off thoughtful work from universal plumbing.

Martin and team replaced the aging pipes for both the sewer and water lines, installed brand new toilets and shower fixtures, and installed a new water heater. Excellent communication by Martin as he made sure to let me know what was going on and provided a walkthrough to show each day's progress. We had our entire aging sewer system replaced! All of the original cast iron pipes under our house and the line leading from our house to the city's main sewer line. Martin and Axel were very knowledgeable and professional. Excellent work. They were always in communication with us so we always knew what was going to happen on what day. They are the definition of a business with integrity. I highly recommend them.

Had to replace a hot water heater and they were able to accommodate us quickly and the Work was done professionally. The most important thing I appreciated was the communication - a lot of vendors fail to communicate which can make things really frustrating. Martin communicated in detail every step of the way and was very transparent. Will be using them for the foreseeable future on other plumbing jobs.

Highly recommend Martin for any plumbing related repairs and upgrades. We had a PRV and recirculation pump installed along with diagnosing potential issues with our plumbing. What I really appreciated about him is that he was willing to explain everything in detail as well as work within any constraints I had. He gave us a fair price and was cooperative in resolving minor issues the arose.

Martin and Manuel from Universal plumbing were fantastic! They helped work around an issue with third party scheduler via Lowe’s that kept dropping the ball on our toilet installation appt. My sewer line was blocked by a root around 100 feet from my house. Martin and his team came out, identified the problem and fixed it. Even though the root was more than 6 feet under ground they dug until they reached it, removed the root and replaced that section. They are hard working, conscientious and honest. I fully recommend them.

Got water heater replaced as previous one stopped working. Martin checked and provided best options and quotes. Finally went to get heater changed. Great job done within 2hrs and provided best professional experience. Would highly recommend if anyone needs plumbing or water heater related issues.
