Never calling The Fair Plumber again. We used them years ago and spent over $6,000 to replace an outdoor pipe, so when we started having a similar issue, we called them back. They did come out quickly, which I appreciated. However, they quoted us $17,000 to replace about 20 feet of piping. Thankfully, a friend encouraged me to get a second opinion. Another company came out within an hour, used a different tool, flushed the line, and resolved the issue for $900. I cannot believe I was almost pressured into paying $17,000 for a problem that was fixed for $900. To make matters worse, the manager was very unpleasant when I told him I wanted to check with another company. Extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend The Fair Plumber.

Still waiting on Fair Plumber in Mount Prospect Illinois to fix their faulty work mess. I have water running down my basement wall after Fair Plumber attempted to install a 1st floor kitchen Faucet. They were unable to remove the shut off valve and struck it with great force repeatedly and then finally brought out an electric power tool to remove it. In the process I believe they dislodged something in the wall or broke something causing water to drip into the basement wall. When I called yesterday they denied any responsibility and called me a racist because one of the workers who performed the work was black. Today they said they would send someone out between 11-1pm. Well, they were a no show. 45 minutes ago I received a call telling me someone would be here in 10 minutes. Again a no show. This clearly is a company that does shoddy work and takes no responsibility. They make promises that fall flat and are into name calling customers to make themselves feel better.

My husband called this company on a recommendation from a friend. Pat arrived and gave us an estimate for the work that was comparable to what we expected. Pat completed the work efficiently and carefully. However he took extra care to mention that he felt our water was too hot for our small baby. He also was careful to ensure the fumes or work did not upset her. Pat also showed me how to prevent the issue from happening again. The pricing of this work was fair. I trust Pat and recommend him.
