Dino did a great job and was able to help fix several plumbing problems. I would recommend this place to help with all your plumbing needs. Everything my parents needed fied he fixed.

We've been customers for several years now, and our issues, big and small, have always been addressed professionally and quickly by Southtown. There contact staff are top shelf too!

Dante of Southtown was subbed in to perform a sewer scope for a home buying inspection by Alpha Home Inspections (who I also highly recommend). He provided great insight and communication while performing the inspection. Also was very helpful with educating us with context, technical knowledge, and general advice.

Usually I do not write reviews. I am surprised with all the positive reviews. They were extremely rude on the phone. I can understand refusing the job; but acting like a jerk is not acceptable. I would not use them for any plumbing needs.

I wouldn't even give one star but had no choice to write a review. I wish I could write this under better circumstances. They did plumbing work in my basement and installed a new faucet in the kitchen. Afterwards the water was turned on and noticed there was no hot water. Upon inquiry the plumber went back into the basement where the hot water heater is and said, "Your hot water heater is cashed." I thought, "That's odd considering it's been working just fine." Today we had someone look at the hot water heater and found that "someone" turned the temperature all the way down on the hot water heater. I'm not happy about this! I may be a female and I may be blonde... but trust me ... I'm FAR from stupid! They'll never get another penny from me.

We had a clogged sewer line backing up from the floor drain where the washer drains into but also backing up from toilets. We called them (Chicago Hts number but surely the same business) and like the Yellow Pages ad says, they were out within the hour. The estimate was $250-275. They rodded out the main line using the cleanout in the front yard and quickly the toilets were flushing smoothly. But not so the floor drain. I had had some inklings that there was a clog very close by so it didn't totally surprise me that we actually had two clogs. And, boy did they have to work to clear this one, finally having to remove the standpipe thing coming from the washer and even having to bring in the big machine they used outside. (They were having to snake through a trap in the piping under the concrete slab floor to get to the clog.) I asked if releasing that clog would potentially move on to reclog the mainline and true to their word, they went back outside and rodded the mainline all over again. They explained what they were doing and why they would do it the way they did at every stage. The floor drain clog took a lot more work than the mainline clog and they could have asked for double the quote. In the end the tab came to $400 which is not cheap but I think for 2 men and the amount of time spent not only doing it but doing it right (so far as I could tell), it was reasonable. Hopefully it all stays free running for a long time. I would use them again when the time comes.

I had a major back-up in my main sewer line. Called Southtown Plumbing after I cleared it once. They came out right away on a Sunday morning and told me my sewer line was cracked at the foundation outside. My wife and I checked around that day and realized they gave us the best price to fix it - and saw they had a good reputation. They started first thing Monday morning. They pulled all the necessary permits that morning. I was worried my landscaping and front yard would be trashed. To my surprise they kept the digging (all by hand) and disrupted area to a minimum. By the time I got home from work that day, they were finished and had everything put back as if they were never even there. I only have mulch beds and some bushes, so may be different if you have a lot of rock or landscaping block, but I couldn't have been happier. They take pride in their work and took care of my house - you couldn't tell they were inside my home where they had to go through the foundation wall. Very clean and considerate. They exceeded my expectations and will use only them in the future for my plumbing needs. Contractors should take a lesson from these guys - first rate, top notch company.

Just a follow up to Southtown Plumbing and Sewer, had them out at my home today. I had water coming up onto the driveway and was concerned about what was going on. Gene from Southtown came out and they were able to rod my main stack going out to the street. He was totally professional and suggested that an outside clean-out be installed for better access because tree roots were clogging the main and it would be a constant issue. He was honest, clear and straight forward on the problem i was having, a reflection of the company itself. A no-nonsense company. Customer service answered my phone call the first time I called and always kept me in the loop on when and what time they were arriving and how the job was going. Tom and his crew are awesome, hardworking and do good quality work. I used Southtown's service for my house, my mom's home and my aunts house, I would and will use Southtown Plumbing and Sewer Inc again and again.

Had a bad sewer clog. Made appointment with Kathy, the owner's wife, late afternoon. Tom the owner, came out the next day to give me an estimate. I explained to him that I had a bad experience with a previous plumbing company trying to unclog my sewer line by going through my toilets. Found out he was inexperienced. Tom and his crew, came out the next day and ended up replacing a portion of the sewer line, (which had been broken for some time), and they repaired the toilet which was left in disrepair from the previous plumbing company. Mike, one of the crew members evern adjusted the toilet so it's working perfectly. If you need a plumbing company that you can trust, Southtown Plumbing and Sewage is the one. They are family owned and operated. That's why I believe it's a company that you can trust.

After our hot water heater quit working, I called Southtown since they previously did excellent work for us. Tom came over promptly, and gave us a very good quote on a new unit and installation. He clearly explained what needed to be done to bring the system up to code. We accepted Tom's quote, and agreed upon a time and date for installation. Tom came back as agreed with the hot water heater. It was a much higher quality than one would buy at the chain home supply stores. Tom and his assistant Dino did an excellent and professional installation. They also brought our system up to code. We are very happy with the services of Southtown, and will definitely call them again in the future. If you have any plumbing problem, call Southtown for excellent service at a reasonable price!

Southtown recently completed a repair our main water line that was located right next to our basement foundation. We called and shortly after Eugene was able to come to our home and assess the problem and provided us with an estimate. They performed the job as planned for the stated price which was a good value. Eugene and his crew were very professional and efficient. The work required extensive digging and cutting through the foundation wall to make the repair. This was done with out creating any mess inside or outside of the home. Eugene communicated very well and was very reassuring to work with. We were very pleased with the quality of work. Eugene and his crew did a great job and we would highly recommend them for future work.

They put a new hot water tank in my home in June of 2020. December 31 2020 it went out again. Eugene who put it in was busy but had his partner Tom come out and Tom contacted the manufacturer and they told him they'd send out a new igniter so he had one and changed It. That wasn't the problem. He called them back and they told him it was probably the gas valve. Tom had one so he changed that. He did not want us to be without hot water for days waiting for parts. Luckily that was the problem and 4 hours later we were back in all the hot water we need. Tom was great and Eugene was great. We highly recommend them.

I had a big job - my sink and tub line on my my 60 year old home was totally corroded and the pipes had to be dug under the slab). I had gotten more than one estimate, and this was theirs was the most economical price and they came recommended from my general handyman. In addition to being very experienced, Eugene from the Orland Park office was very kind and respectful, they showed up on time, they took the time to cover all of their working areas and tarped over my furniture to keep the dust down, and they came in under their original estimate. I would not go to a different plumber after trying them out.

Can't say enough great things about the dedication and work that Southtown Plumbing did for us. We were on our 3rd plumber; which after working with Tom and Mike seemed like a normal job, and Southtown came to the rescue. They were at our house the next morning and starting the work that day! They went above and beyond to help in every possible way and offered wonderful advice for preventative measures for the future. Our sewage back up was devastating after only living in our new house for 3 weeks; but Southtown saved the day! Definitely recoomend for any plumbing or sewer need!

We are very happy with Southtown Plumbing. They arrived in good time and did not keep us waiting. They were extremely knowledgeable about the local area and what types of things might be going on with our plumbing based on how the houses in our area were built. They worked well with my husband and listened to his assessment of what was going on and where he thought our lines were clogged instead of dismissing him and making up their own mind about what the issue was. The clog was quickly fixed and everything is running smoothly. They were very down to earth. Great work!
