I was very happy with my hot water heater install. Work was professional and picture perfect old school workmanship. No shortcuts or rush job.

"I cannot recommend RotoRouter enough! When my old sump pump failed during heavy rain and snow melt, I was panicked about my basement flooding. Adrian arrived promptly, quickly diagnosed the issue, and performed a seamless exchange/installation of a new, high-quality submersible pump. He was professional, took the time to explain the difference between the old unit and the new one, and even cleaned up the pit area completely. Fair pricing, honest service, and total peace of mind. I will definitely be using them for all future plumbing needs!"

This was a very traumatic experience for our family. We had limited options because the issue, backed up sewer and water line, came on very quick. The coverage we had from another company was for internal lines. We never got to the sewer backing up into the house but it was only a matter of time. We called Roto Rooter and they came out immediately, diagnosed the problem and quoted us a price for which we were shocked. After doing some research we decided to go with them to address the issue. They were very professional, clean, knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Could have I gotten a lower price, probably but we didn't have time. The experience was great with the situation at hand. They lined 60 feet of sewer line without having to dig up outside. They brushed and coated another 30 feet of piping. They removed old cast iron piping, dug up and removed 3 intake/out take valves, stone/ cemented the floor and removed all the debris. The crew did a fantastic job from start to finish. Most important the crew leader, Joe, was only a phone call/text away. He answered all my questions even after 9pm on a Sunday night. All I can say is thank you to Roto Rooter!!!Most important I learned how having coverage is very important. Make sure you contact your insurance company or another water company and ask about coverage it could save you thousands.

Avoid — they made problem WORSE, JUST fixed today..maybe.... I hired Roto‑Rooter in Dec for a tub drain failure. They pushed their restoration partner, tore out part of my walls, charged ~$6,000 for plumbing plus thousands more in restoration (I still paid ~$700 out of pocket). They replaced both the faulty tub drain AND a non‑leaking shower drain suggesting it would fail in the future so cheaper to change all at once. They set the elbow too low, making it impossible to reinstall drywall. I pointed it out immediately and was ignored. Fast forward to Feb — the shower drain began leaking onto my office desk. A second plumber found paper/foreign debris left inside the pipe. he removed it, added some "caulk" and said wait to dry in 24hrs....40hrs later, the leak continued. Then came a week of chaos: After several calls with 2 managers, a “senior plumber” was sent, identified the real fix and scheduled a next day early‑morning return… At 9 AM, he advised that management removed him from the job. The replacement plumber told my mother (not me) that he had a “family emergency” Later, I was told by the manager that wasn’t true — contradicting their own text message Today, one of the original plumbers came back with a helper, assessed the issue, admitted the mistakes he made in the first install including not accounting for drywall re-install. He took the time to correct all things today. He watched water flow through for 10mins and when I asked why it took 2mths to start leaking originally, he went up and tested the drain from the stall shower. He noted that it began to leak again with weight on it so he installed a new stall drain. It appears fixed now, but only time will tell. the pics attached are, #1 the original piping, #2 the first "repair" with piping too low for drywall reinstall. the new piping is much better and clears the wall joists for drywalling. This has been two months of stress, delays, bad communication, and work that made my situation worse than when I started. My walls have to stay open for a while to ensure I don't have an issue. I will probably have to call someone else to confirm I'm good before I'm comfortable. I don't want another nightmare.

I have mixed feelings about my recent experience with Roto-Rooter. On one hand, their technicians are excellent. This was my second time in less than a year having the same sink snaked, and just like the first time, the plumber was professional, timely, neat, and successfully unclogged the drain. If you are in an emergency and need someone reliable who will get the job done right, they are definitely the way to go. However, I find it increasingly difficult to justify using them as a "go-to" service due to the lack of incentive for loyal customers. Paying full price for the same recurring issue within a single year feels steep. While the plumber did offer a $100 discount this time, that is a standard coupon amount I likely could have found elsewhere. What is more frustrating is that I’ve gone above and beyond to prevent this: • I purchased their proprietary maintenance cleaner (at 3x the price of standard retail cleaners) and used it exactly as instructed. • As a two-family household, we are extremely cognizant of what goes down our drains. • We previously used them for a major sewer line repair—a nearly five-figure job—less than five years ago. I would expect that level of history and investment to place us in a "high-value client" bracket with better pricing protection. The reality is that if it isn't an emergency, there are much more affordable options available for a standard drain snaking. Summary: Great quality and highly reliable, but the pricing model doesn't seem to value repeat customers or long-term loyalty. — Jason
