Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Was having trouble with my water heater and when I called Roto Rooter they sent Jonny within a couple of hours to Diagnose what was going on. Thanks to him he was able to find the issue and get it squared away for us. Thank you sir for the help.

Called Roto-rooter on a Saturday afternoon as we noticed a small leak under the bathroom sink cabinet. There was another pipe which was closed and apparently connects into the city drain, and the leak was from that outlet. The technician arrived promptly and unhooked the p-trap to find no clogs. He then said the second pipe maybe broken and that he had to cut open the wall on the other side to fix the pipe and it would cost $2100 but he can give a discount and do it for $1950 if we agreed to do it the same day. Without even opening the outlet how did he determine that the pipe was broken, it seemed bizarre and I am glad I trusted my instinct and told him we will call them later if we decide to get it done. I immediately called another company and they sent their technician first thing on Sunday. This guy opened the outlet and cleaned out the clog that was there and the issue was fixed for $350. Mind you Roto Rooter would not fix the hole in the wall if I went ahead with them, so another $1000 or so to get the drywall done and painted by an external party.

This place scams. They came out and did a five minute job on my dishwasher disposal. I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't realize that it just needed a couple of turns clockwise with an Allen wrench. Anyway, they spent five minutes and I'm being generous and then tried to charge me $290. I objected and the guy said "how about $190?" without batting an eye. It's pretty clear they're used to the overcharge followed by customer objection game. BTW, I tried hard to get a quote before they came out but to no avail. Suggest you don't use them or at least force a fixed quote upfront or they'll take you to the cleaners.

If I can give Jude a 10 star rating, I would. He was great at communicating what went wrong, what it took to fix, when he would be showing up, and walked me through all the steps to take in the next emergency we might have. He was super professional and very kind. He really made us feel he and Roto-Rooter was the right company that would take care of us. Here is what happened to us. We had an expansion tank rupture and the water heater is in our attic. It overflowed the drain pan and leaked into the bedroom on our second floor. The ceiling, the walls/closet, and carpets were soaked. On the first floor the ceiling was showing water damage. We still have the abatement and taking out the drywall and carpet to go, but all the plumbing fixes are now behind us. Thanks Jude!!!

I can't say enough good things about Elvis and his supervisor Auden at Roto Roover ! I had a major issue with my sewer drain backing up, and I was worried about a costly repair. They came out, inspected the problem thoroughly, and even used a camera (late night) to check the line. After a careful investigation, they determined that the blockage was actually in the city's sewer line, not my property —all for free!. Instead of trying to charge me for unnecessary work, they advised me to contact the city, saving me a huge expense. Their honesty and professionalism were truly refreshing! If you're looking for a plumber with integrity, Elvis/Auden/Roto-Rooter are the one to call. I highly recommend them and will definitely use their services in the future!

We had an emergency plumbing issue the day we were leaving on vacation, and Roto-Rooter had a team there within an hour. Adam, Geri, Nate, Dana, and Patrick were all wonderful, took the time to explain what they were doing, what needed done, and to also connect us with a company to repair the drywall and flooring after the water mitigation was complete, which was a real relief so we didn’t have to try to find a contractor when we returned from vacation. They also handled all the insurance stuff after we opened a claim. Dana handled the water mitigation process and did a wonderful job, and cleaned up afterwards. We can’t say enough positive things about these guys! We highly recommend!

Fantastic experience using Roto-Rooter. We submitted an emergency call in a Sunday morning and we had a licensed plumber at the house by 12:30pm. After a quick assessment of our needs, the situation was fully explained and a timeline was given for repair completion. By 12:00pm Monday we were back in business. I would not hesitate again to use their services. Sharika with dispatch was extremely attentive and worked with me to coordinate services and arrival times. She was obviously invested to make sure our repair was on track. Also, huge thank you to Larry for taking care of us quickly and efficiently. Top notch experience all around.

Today (Saturday) our water heater failed and Rudy from Roto-Rooter came out to the house to assess the situation, gave me recommendations on how to move forward, and then ultimately resolved our issue within just a couple of hours of me realizing there was a major problem. Our water heater was sitting in a puddle, it had basically rusted through internally and needed to be replaced. Rudy was fantastic, he always had a positive can-do attitude and fully understood our water system. I highly recommend Rudy and will request him should I be stuck in an unfortunate situation again.

I’m often at work from very early hours until around 4-5 P.M., so the fact that Roto Rooter was able to dispatch a plumber after work was extremely convenient for me. The people were respectful, and scheduling this was easy. The plumber, Rudy, was friendly and helpful, and he told me the problem right away. Since he was unable to do anything as the issue was with the sink itself rather than the plumbing, he informed me who to contact instead to fix my problems, and he didn’t charge me for his time because it was a separate issue.

Our entire upstairs was clogged preventing toilets from flushing and showers and tubs from draining. I tried snaking the drains myself using the big box store snake kit, but was unsuccessful. Fortunately, Roto-Rooter was available within an hour from the time I called and was able to unclog the toilets and get us operational again. Nate was not only professional, but also super friendly and knew exactly what to do. Thank goodness he helped us get out of the “mess” we were in. Thanks Nate!!

Had a very pleasant experience with a patient, kind and professional technician who took the time to understand our issue, explain his process and discuss a fair and comprehensive way to solve our problem. Did i mention he was able to show up within an hour of my service call? Highly recommend the company, and hope most people find as much levity and good spirit when interacting with, and helping their customers.

I had been battling with the clogged kitchen sink and hot-water heater drain for 3 days. I actually told my job that was at my wit's end and didn't know what I was going to do. Then the door bell rang and it was the Roto-Rooter man, and I'm like "finally the BIG guns!". True story. My drain is now behaving and I can get some rest, but last weekend I didn't get any.
