What 42 Reviews Tell Us

Emergency Response

Excellent responsiveness and scheduling ease—multiple reviewers praised quick appointment availability and on-time arrival

What To Watch Out For

Significant overcharging and diagnostic overreach: $622.45 bill for unresolved issue, including $250 flat fee to reset a toilet (30 min work), with subsequent independent plumber resolving the actual problem in minutes by pouring water down a drain

Poor diagnostic judgment—misidentified root cause (blamed hot-water line as 'major safety risk' causing toilet to 'explode') when issue was simply an unused drain producing noise

We had a great experience! Called stating we had no hot water. The woman who answered was polite, professional and organized. Scheduled our appointment for early the next day. Plumber arrived on time and did a great job. Was very neat, cleaned up the work area afterwards and made sure all of our questions were answered. Precision Plumbing Services will always be our first call for all of our plumbing needs.

We had Precision Plumbing move and change out our old water heater. The whole process was a breeze. Stephanie is a great communicator and made scheduling easy. The plumbers, Sam and Nick, were both kind, respectful and most importantly did a great job on our project. We would highly recommend using Precision plumbing!

We had a client of ours (new home owner) call Precision Plumbing to address an issue concerning noisy pipes at the home she just purchased from us 2 weeks ago. The home was a total remodel with new plumbing, etc and did not have anyone living in it for 6 months. The Precision plumber suggested to the client that since the home was new and not in use for some time, that the client call us (we were out of state) to find out who did the initial plumbing to verify if/where the venting was for the bathroom and to see if it was properly completed. It should be noted that we hired certified, licensed plumbers who we, as building contractors, used in the past to perform our work. According to the client, the Precision plumber stated "he did not feel comfortable tearing out walls" to see where the vent/s were located. Needless to say, the client freaked out, picturing her entire new bathroom ripped apart. He proceeded to pull the toilet to see if there was a clog. No clog. By the way, to reset a toilet, Precision charges $250 for 30 minutes of work. When I called the Precision office to question the amount of the bill ($622.45), the office person stated that $250 was their standard charge for resetting a toilet "because they were a licensed shop." Regardless, the noise issue was not resolved (according to the invoice). In fact, the Precision plumber stated to the client that he had to "re-pipe" the water feed line to the toilet because the toilet was originally plumbed with hot water instead of cold, and, according to the written statement on the invoice from the Precision plumber, it was "a major safety risk", and told the client that the toilet could explode. Yes, he told the lady that the toilet could explode. Really? Nowhere on the invoice addressed the time the Precision plumber used to basically NOT FIX THE ISSUE, although still charge the client over $600! Ridiculous. The client reached out to us right after this fiasco and we immediately contacted our plumber to resolve any issue she was having. According to our plumber, all he did was pour water down the utility drain (which was not being used) and the sound went away. He said it was absurd that the Precision plumber instilled a sense of panic to the client when he was there. Very unprofessional. We have been home remodeling for over 20 years in Wisconsin, having worked with all facets of the building trades. I have never, ever, had to write a negative review such as this that reflects the incompetence and recklessness associated with this individual and company. Unfortunately, it was well deserved.

From the initial contact through scheduling to the replacement of our water heater and outside faucet along with some miscellaneous plumbing, Sam and Sawyer did excellent work. They were courteous, efficient, and professional. We highly recommend Precision Plumbing and will certainly rely on them for our future plumbing needs.
