Cote and Robert did a great job installing our new pressure tank today. They were efficient, thoughtful, and very knowledgeable. Cote gave us some practical and helpful advice on product and maintenance issues. Powell's will definitely be our first call for any future plumbing issues.

Needed to have our septic tank pumped and Chris & Daniel did an exceptional job! Both were very professional, knowledgeable and extremely friendly! Great to work with such genuine people. Scheduling the appt was easy, very polite and professional folks. Overall a great experience and will continue to use them for any septic/plumbing issues as they arise

I highly recommend Powell's Plumbing to anyone in the Hedgesville, WV area needing a reliable and trustworthy plumber! Had my septic tank pumped and inspected the tank for issues. Both dispatcher and 2 service technicians were polite and respected my property. Thank you for an outstanding job👍

READING THIS REVIEW MAY SAVE YOU A LOT OF MONEY AND FRUSTRATION!! It’s a bit lengthy but worth the read… I had Powell’s Plumbing & Air stop by to give me a quote to replace my water heater (I purchased a new Rheem ahead of time)…redo/clean-up the “octopus” of water lines in the closet where the water heater is located, and remove my water softener from the adjacent closet. I made sure I conveyed to him that I wanted ALL new copper piping. The quote was $1764. The next day I decided to just have the water softener disconnected so I can see how the water will be without it before getting rid of it. I am having the flooring redone, so at least I can move the softener out, then back in. I stopped by their office and spoke with the office staff and they agreed and reduced my quote to $1471. The day of replacement…this is when it gets interesting. Powell’s Plumbing and Air arrived. I went over the work with the plumber. He stated that I can just turn the built-in valve behind the water softener and that will bypass it, which he did. He then unplugged the power adaptor and literally just threw it down on the floor. Ok…not what I was expecting, but this was a sign of things to come. I touched base with him again about all the new work being done in copper. He replaced the water heater and used copper pipe for the water lines, but when he went to connect the pipe for the Pressure Relief Valve, he brought in a dirty piece of PEX tubing that looked like it was salvaged from another job. I asked him why was he using that when I had specifically requested ALL copper. He stated he didn’t have any more copper pipe. After having to press the issue, he turned to head to out to his truck and said “Pain in the Ass.” I was taken aback. The plumber also had an HVAC guy with him who was just “shadowing” him, not doing any of the work. The HVAC guy actually apologized for the plumber’s behavior and comment. Upon the plumber’s return, low and behold he had a piece of copper pipe. It must have magically appeared on his truck. So, not only did he say “Pain in the Ass” but he also looked me right in the face and straight out lied. The octopus of water lines was never fixed (see attached picture). He just said “We’ll get it next time.” Next Time??? I’m paying to have this done now!! At this point I was fed up with his behavior and just wanted him gone. So, I was cussed…lied to…and all the work wasn’t performed. There was ZERO CORRECTION in pricing. I paid for EVERYTHING to be done and ended up with just a straight forward water heater replacement. Oh, and it was easy access…ground floor, zero steps, drain right beside it, and about 25 feet to the front door. Powell’s Plumbing & Air supplied about 10’ of copper pipe, a few fittings, a shutoff valve, and the expansion tank. I estimate those materials would probably take up the better portion of the $171 of the $1471. So, the hour and a half labor ended up costing me $1300. That’s $866 an hour!! My doctor doesn’t even charge that much…let that sink in a bit!!

Working with Powell’s was an excellent experience. I am extremely satisfied with the whole process. They came out to my elderly parents home, evaluated the problem and told us what to do. They could have easily been frustrated with dealing with my 94 year old father, who moves a little slow and is hard or hearing, but Corey was very respectful and gracious. They also could have easily charged us for a service that wasn’t needed, but did not. I will definitely use them again for any of our families needs. Well done Powell’s and Corey!!!
