They were prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful of our property. They took care of our problem, spent time discussing our unit, and future needs. They helped me set up my smart thermostat, that they installed For Free, made sure I understood how to work it. I was really impressed with Michael, and Jake. On top of everything professional, We really liked them both. Very personable guys. We Thank you so much for such a positive experience. We do not take that for granted, these days. I highly recommend Norman Air.
I scheduled a routine maintenance appointment on my HVAC system. They offer competitive pricing and I was impressed with how quickly I got an appointment. Services were thorough and only took about an hour. Jake and Michael did a Fantastic job! The entire team is professional and wonderful to work with! An easy 5 stars!
Dakota did our electricity safety inspection and also did a few other things like: 1) Changed some defective electrical outlets 2) Replaced two of our garage fluorescent lights which were not functioning properly by LED tube lights and bypassed the ballasts 3) Did work on our front porch electrical outlet 4) Replaced some dead bulb outside our garage 5) Overall did a very thorough inspection of our electrical system * He completed the projects to our compete satisfaction * He was very friendly and easy to work with * He was also very knowledgeable * He also was very punctual, which we really appreciated very much! * He isa great asset for the company he works for. Second day he had a young assistant by the name Anderson, I think (please forgive me if I am wrong). He is also very polite and friendly, learning his job very well. He was also very helpful like Dakota.
If you are a property manager and have tenants DO NOT use this company for any reason. Management has no sympathy or empathy for customers. The tech that came to my house left without saying anything. They blamed my landlord for not answering the phone and said that they couldn't get back out for two days. I've been without water for 7 days already. Mr. Brian P business owner I would like to know how you continue to get bad reviews and still have a business? Take some advice. Get your management empathy training because Brandi has none and she's a pathetic excuse for a manger!
Update 11/23/2020: Had another run in with this company. They were replacing my neighbor's sewer line and instead of removing a fence panel and digging from my neighbor's side, their employees wanted to come in my yard to dig from my side of the fence because "it is less hassle". I said it was okay so long as the back filled everything. The ended up breaking my irrigation line and leaving a huge sunken hole in my backyard. Contacted the company and they said they'd send someone out in the next 3 days to look at the issue. They've refused to provide a time frame for when their representative will be by, only saying "it will be when he has time between calls". I've never had so many bad experiences with a company before. I cannot recommend staying away from this company enough. Update 11/2017: Technician came out for a heater tune up. Upon completing the tune up he was unable to get the furnace blower to start. Went through the 'what is wrong and cost to replace it' spiel. I stated it isn't logical for the blower to be working with no indication of going out until the tuneup was performed. I said I would think about the cost of fixing. While the tech was putting the covers back on the furnace he discovered he had forgotten to re-connect a wire. When he reconnected it the blower began working again. To his credit he did come and explain the error and apologized. He was a younger tech and a new parent, so understandably a bit frazzled. However, with the repeated incidents with the technicians employed at this company, I am extremely wary of work suggested by the techs that need to be done on the units. Update 6/3/2017: Owner and company rep reached out to me about the missed appointments. They were able to get the technician out to the house about an hour after the original appointment time. The owner provided compensation for lost time. I appreciate the honesty from the tech, rep, and owner about what happened, and the assurance of more thorough training for the future. As for the appointment, tech arrived and was as thorough as usual, (as I've come to be accustom to from Norman Heating and Air Conditioning). He also did honestly explain what happened with the missed appointment which is much appreciated. ---- Had an appointment 5/12/17 for preventative maintenance on my unit, which I had to take off work to make. Tech no called no showed, never received a call from the company about missing the appointment or rescheduling. When I called the company to reschedule the appointment the receptionist stated, "oh yeah, that's the appointment we ended up having to cancel." Never called me to inform of the cancellation. Rescheduled the appointment for 6/2. Tech showed up and said he couldn't do the maintenance because it was wet outside. Said he would come by on Saturday 6/3 at 9:30. 6/3 tech no called no showed again. Attempted to call company to find out if someone was coming at 10. The company doesn't have a phone number to speak with someone on the weekends. Very disappointing. I had thought I'd finally found a trustworthy HVAC company in Norman.

I called Norman Heating and Air Conditioning when our a/c started having a hard time keeping up. They sent a technician out who told me he thought the unit was fine, but it needed the filters replaced. He replaced the filters and also offered to clean out the outside condenser and service the machine for a small extra fee. I obliged and asked him to go ahead and do a routine maintenance. I didn't notice much of a difference in the cooling after he left but it is middle of summer so I assumed that was the issue. Our unit stopped working a couple days later so I called them again and they had someone out within the hour which I greatly appreciated. However, this technician told me he thought we probably had a freon leak and that with our a/c's age we should consider getting it replaced as it would cost us 700-1000 to get the leak addressed and there was no guarantee that was the problem. I did appreciate the helpfulness and friendliness of both technicians however with an expense as large as this I called a different company for a second opinion. We had a different company come out who explained to me that the unit had frozen up because there was a piece of insulation that had fallen on top of the coils causing it to freeze up, he also said that the freon was a lb low. They fixed that and inspected the outside unit that had supposedly been cleaned out by Norman Heat and Air, I witnessed them pulling chunks of dirt and junk out of the unit. It had not been cleaned out. They had the unit up and working within the hour and it has been working better than it has since we moved in two years ago. We will not be using Norman Heating and Air Conditioner in the future. Had we gone with them we would have been out thousands of dollars vs $135 that the other company charged us to actually fix the unit and add freon.
I called this business on a Friday afternoon when the heat went out at a rental property with the temperature below freezing outside and worst weather to come because my preferred heat & air technician was out of town for the holidays. Norman Heating & Air charges $84 for a service call, which is somewhat higher than the prevailing local rate. When the technician called he said that the thermostat had shorted out and that I also needed an induction motor that was overheating and would burn out unpredictably. Because of the holiday weekend, the motor could not be obtained for a few days. The cost of replacing the the thermostat with a non-programmable one was $225. When I informed the technician that a non-programmable thermostat was a $20 part at Lowe's, his response was to "not shoot the messenger" and that the business has "a lot of overhead to cover." $200 labor to install a non-programmable thermostat is a blatant rip-off and I told the technician so. According to the technician it would cost more than $600 to replace the induction motor. I was willing to pay a premium but not willing to be ripped-off like an ultimate sucker. I paid for the service call and made arrangements to heat the house with space heaters until my regular technician could fix the problem. I bought a programmable thermostat and installed it myself. My technician fixed the motor and finished installing the thermostat: total cost - $260 including the new thermostat, motor and cost of labor. It would have been more than $800 with Norman Heating & Air. This business relies on the sucker being born every minute.
OVERPRICED - NO RESPONSIVE - UNEXPERIENCED STAFF Quoted me on 6/15/21 for 4,600 to replace over 35ft of piping saying it was a one day job. First day out on 6/21/21 they unloading the truck and left because it started raining. They did not inform me so I called about 6 hours later and was told they will be back in 2 days. On 6/23/21 they unloaded the backhoe and hit the side of my house and a power line stopping work for the day. Unable to use water I was placed in a hotel. Once back out to my house another power line was hit along with a gas line. The gas line upset me because I ran out to ask happened and he said he did not know. Ten mins later I see firefighters in my backyard; I had to find out from the firefighters what happened. I had to ask for hotel extensions every 2 days checking out and back in the hotel repeatedly. The job did not get completed until 7/10/2021 making me cancel my 7/6 birthday gathering. It got to a point where I felt as if I was bothering the plumbers to complete the job. After it was all said and done the direction of the pipe and length of pipe quoted for was completely off. The only had to replace 12ft of pipe. I was told by the manager that the quote given was for 50ft and I still have to pay that price even thought 12ft was replaced. My backyard is muddy uneven mess and you can tell from the pictures this just job was rushed. As a veteran and former customer I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLUMBING COMPANY
I called 4-3-26 at 0900 to make an appt to have my AC unit fixed due to being inoperable since the night prior. Angie was professional and said someone would call me to schedule a time for today. 25 minutes later I received the call that Taylor and Gavin were in route to my home. I thought WOW how expeditious. I chose Norman Heat & Air based off the reviews I read and boy am I glad I did. Taylor and Gavin showed up, listened to what we did to rectify the problem on our own. They looked at the furnace and told me what was wrong based off what I told them and what they saw. He gave me 2 estimates. One for just fixing and one for joining the Max membership. I chose Max based off what it covers. Then they said it would take an hour. They fixed the unit, installed my new digital thermostat, showed me how to work it with all of the features and were sweet to my dogs. I am so happy that I chose Norman Heat & Air. Kudos to those guys for taking good care of my house.
I called Norman Heat and Air for a repair of my AC unit on 7/4/2018. I notified them over the phone that I was just needing the capacitor on my AC replaced, and since the stores were closed for me to purchase it from that I was needing them to do it for me. I was notified that the holiday pricing was $120 for the service call + parts. I thought that was reasonable for an after-hour/holiday rate. When the technician showed up to replace the part I was then notified that they sell the capacitor was $213. Since capacitors routinely sell for $15-$25, that is a $200 markup. I felt pressured to then buy the part since I was at that point already stuck with the $120 trip charge just for them to tell me that they have a 1,000% markup on the part I told them I was needing. I believe this is a terrible way to do business. Get the customer stuck on a fixed cost for the trip, then price gouge them for the parts they requested over the phone.
Our heater would quit working but the thermostat would say it still was. Efren was great when he came and inspected everything he could and got it working again. We noticed at the time that the lights in the house were blinking, well the heater did quit again and this time Efren was able to determine that the heater was working fine but that there had to be an electrical issue so he set up to have Bo (their electrician) come and check it all out. Bo came and inspected our whole house to find that it was not an issue in the house wiring but that the electrical line coming to the house (OG&E) was at fault. We called OG&E and they came out to fix the problem same day by running a new line to the house. Great work by both Efren and Bo, so great to find out what the problem was. Both were so professional about how they worked and how they handled our problem. Thanks to Norman Heating and Air to hire such pros.
I had been needing a new HVAC unit for quite a while and had been putting it off for a year or two. (I have two units, one that heats and cools the upstairs and another downstairs). I finally saved up some money and was able to call and get an estimate. They sent out a rep to take a look same day. Norman Air provided multiple options at a much cheaper rate than the quotes I received from other service providers and they even gave me a better warranty. They assured me payment plans were also available. The next business day, Edwin and Jackson came out and they did a fantastic job. They were polite and courteous, were respectful of not tracking in mud or leaves in the house and even some of my patio furniture and flower pots had to be moved outside and were moved back in the same exact spots before they left. I had a great experience with them and will recommend Norman Air to all my neighbors and friends.
Today (May 6, 2026) we had the pleasure of conducting Kieth through our annual Plumbing Inspection. He was very professional and thorough and left us with some interesting choices for our plumbing future. Today (Jan 19, 2026) we had Taylor as our winter service Tech. He was kind, courteous, and thorough, as we have come to respect that in our Norman Heat & Air techs. We decided to upgrade our thermostat and as usual, our home’s internet technology put up a fight. Taylor was calm and upbeat throughout and after a seeming eternity of a reboot of our Cox modem, he got it done. We love our new thermostat. Thanks Taylor. Jimmy was our tech. He responded to the call even more quickly than I had hoped. He found the issue with our furnace and did a temporary fix until they could get the part (which came the next business day). Kudos to Jimmy and the staff of Norman H&A!
My AC unit stopped working. I called Norman Heat & Air Friday morning at 0900 and spoke with Angie who was very pleasant. I was given an appointment for the same day and was told someone would call me to give me a time frame. 25 minutes later I received a call (not sure of the name) but was told a tech was on the way. Taylor and Gavin showed up. They listened carefully and intensely to the problems I was experiencing. Once I showed them the furnace in the garage, it was quickly diagnosed, then came the estimate, the Max plan offer explained very thoroughly, and he said it would take an hour. Both of them took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. I am very pleased with not only the techs timeliness but quality of work and they were super nice to my dogs. I recommend this company for anyone with HVAC problems.
