I have worked with Millcreek Plumbing twice now (shout out Chris!) and they do excellent work. Straight-forward, efficient, and they explain what is happening. One of the jobs was a big issue that required some road construction. They took care of everything. The other job was hydro jetting. Chris explained how things looked and let me know when they were done. Took
I had a fantastic experience with Millcreek Plumbing. They were able to fit me in immediately and resolved a really unpleasant issue with my sink and drain that had started to smell like sewage. Everything was fixed in one day. They were incredibly responsive, professional, and took the time to clearly explain what was causing the odor and what needed to be done to fix it. I really appreciated how thorough and informative they were. Highly recommend!
We've used Millcreek Plumbing for a number of jobs ranging from sewer scoping to drain removal and relocation. They are always communicative, on time and very professional. Their plumbers take the time to describe what they are doing throughout the job and leave a clean workspace when they are completed. Would highly recommend and we will continue to use them for plumbing jobs moving forward!
We got 10 plumbing bids for a residential remodel project. These guys were the most expensive by a long shot! They bid almost 10 times the price of what we ended up paying elsewhere. Yikes!
Hi Dan- I wish I could say this was a great experience- but your guys troubleshooting of the clog in my main line from the house resulted in them scheduling a potential 6k+ tear up of my new driveway. My two (untrained) sons came over and cleaned out the problem with a common shop-vac and a garden hose. This should concern you . I think some training is in order. I’ve had years of good experience with Millcreek so very sad this occurred. My trust is a little shaken . Common sense averted a potentially expensive project .
Wow!! I literally have never posted a review in my life but feel I would be doing a disservice by not sharing my unbelievably bad experience with Brighton Plumbing (Yes, this Brighton Plumbing!). Where's the zero stars option when you need it?! The tenants at a rental home I manage reported to me that they smelled gas in the basement, so I quickly called the gas company, and several plumbers. When I spoke with Jim at Brighton Plumbing, he told me he does, in fact, repair plumbing associated with gas leaks, and that he'd stop by the house to take care of it for me. Jim called me later that same day, however, and told me he couldn't find a gas leak - end of Brighton Plumbing, I thought. Knowing there had to be a gas leak, I called another plumber who immediately located the problem and did the repairs for me. [The first thing this other plumber did was turn on the gas at the meter, which the gas company had turned off earlier in the day.] Months later, Jim called me to collect on his invoice. I had never received an invoice from him, so I asked him to email it to me for my review - he charged me $150 to essentially tell me he couldn't find a gas leak. I reached out to Jim several times after receiving his invoice, including sending multiple emails, but never got a reply. We finally connected on the phone today (many months later). He told me the work I had asked him to do was to "re-light the furnace and water heater," which he was unable to do, and that the $150 was for his time. I reminded him that I had actually asked him to locate and repair a gas leak in the basement - he denied ever discussing a gas leak with me. After several minutes of bantering over what I had originally asked him to repair, I explained my position and asked him whether he'd be willing to accept $75 for his time, in light of the circumstances. He went off, proceeded to yell at me, called me a "cheat" several times, then hung up on me. I very reluctantly mailed a check to him today for the full $150 just to put the nightmare behind me.
These guys are amazing; I'll never go to another plumber again. We had a gas line leak inside our wall and the gas company had shut us off with winter rolling in. The first plumber that we called couldn't come out for a week. The second place flat out said "we don't know how to fix that." The third place came out, but said that they didn't have the tools for the fix. They recommended Millcreek. At that point I was resigned to waiting days/weeks for a fix. Brady was there within an hour, and had it fixed before the end of the day. Absolutely amazing work. He was professional, prompt, and fixed the problem flawlessly. He even helped us restart our gas appliances/HVAC and pressure-tested the system. Best of all, they were $500 less than what another place quoted. Absolutely stellar. I wish that there were more contractors like them in Utah!
I wish I could give Millcreek Plumbing 10 stars. We had a leak somewhere in our main water line. After being strung along by another company, Gabe arrived at our house and immediately made us feel at ease with his knowledge and sense of care for our situation. In a matter of hours from their arrival to my house, we had a solution and the work began the following day to replace our main water line. Because our home is old, with many different additions, routing the new line inside the house was a challenge but Millcreek Plumbing was simply amazing in finding solutions to the challenges faced along the way. This is the second time we have used this company and their prices are always fair and the work is always excellent. They made us feel like their only customers that day with the extreme care for during the entire process.
They're not kidding when they say they're available 24/7. I noticed my water heater was leaking in the basement at 8 pm on a Thursday night. I called Jim. He was just finishing another job but was at my home within 30 minutes to turn off my water. He recommended replacing the water heater. He checked the water heater's model number, size, etc. to get the correct replacement. He had other jobs scheduled for Friday (in Wyoming) and Saturday, so I had to schedule another plumber to install a new water heater the next morning. Jim helped us out with leaking faucets, etc. a few years ago. He is quick to respond to calls for help, is knowledgeable, and his pricing is fair. His business is located nearby my neighborhood (Murray/Cottonwood Heights). I recommend this company for plumbing needs!
I highly recommend Millcreek Plumbing! I needed to have the original galvanized steel water main line in my 85-year-old home replaced. Jared from Millcreek Plumbing was very easy to work with throughout the entire process. As a new homeowner, this was my first major plumbing project, and Jared provided a thorough, easy-to-understand explanation of the work involved. On the day of the job, Jared and his entire crew were professional and treated my property with great care. They even took the time to carefully restore my grass and mulch back to its original condition after digging underneath it to access the water main. Millcreek Plumbing will definitely be my first call the next time I need any plumbing work done.
I am writing this review for one reason: to save others from the agony we experienced with Brighton Plumbing. Our experience includes the owner of the company accidentally setting our drywall on fire, and also installing a valve in the wrong bathroom. This was a miserable experience. When he sent me his invoice a week later (which did not account for the time spent installing the valve or uninstalling it and replacing it with the right one), I responded immediately, detailing those and other problems with the work. I did not hear from him for two months. When we talked on the phone he called me names. We hired another plumber to repair and complete the work he left undone. It was a far more pleasant experience.
This guy was great. I had a plumbing issue that I'd had multiple plumbers already come out and give me bids on. He was the first one to be honest and tell me that the project could be done for about $50 if I went to Lowes or Home Depot and did it myself. But it didn't end there, he even went as far as to actually walk me through every single part that was needed. Then added at the end, "that should save you at least $400 in labor, good luck and let me know if you need help with it." I'll definitely be calling this company for all my plumbing needs in the future. It's rare to to find a company that's in the business to actually help people and not just throw an overpriced bid together and hope you pick them.
These are the ONLY plumbing repair specialists that help you as though they were doing repairs on their own home. In my years of experience with them, they have dropped what they are doing to help in an emergent situation, their customer service is exceptional (from the phone call to schedule to the team that is on site), and their pricing was 1/3 what a recent estimate from a competitor was for the same job! They are some of the nicest people I have met. They listen and they problem solve. It’s about helping, not the price point. Thank you, Millcreek Plumbing team!!!
Millcreek Plumbing was one of the companies we got estimates from when our sewer backed up, and we are really happy that we used Millcreek. Fixing and lining our sewer drain was a multi day job, but they finished it in less than a week with not that much notice, and the overall cost was less than the initial estimate. It was a stressful situation, but Millcreek made sure that we were informed during the process, took care of everything like permits and clean up, and made it go as easy as it could possibly could have. Thank you Millcreek Plumbing and Jared!
Recently replaced the hardwood floors in our house. Last minute realized we had a fridge with water line, dishwasher with line and drain, and a gas range. All had to be disconnected for new floors. The crew that came was on time and very efficient. They also suggested disconnecting washer and dryer. Work was quick. Professional, for quoted price. They put everything back as soon as floor was installed. Would recomend these guys to anyone looking for Professional service, and courtesy at a reasonable price.
