Recently identified our hot water heater's pressure relief valve had leaked some water from our tank. Upon researching it I determined it needed to be replaced, to which I completed that work myself. Water continued to sporadically leak from the valve & at that point was out of my "google knowledge" depth and began to research who to call for assistance. Jack Berleth & Sons is very local & we walk by their office near daily with our dog, so decided to send a message via their website contact us form. I received a prompt response within an hour or so via email with options for appointments, including being added to the queue for that day should the team finish up calls early, which I thought was a very nice option. With my issue not seemingly being an emergency (and with it also being a Friday) I opted for a Monday morning appointment. The tech, Will, arrived promptly at the start of our 2 hour window on Monday. I quickly explained the issues I was having & within mere minutes he had already diagnosed the issue as being a full expansion tank in need of replacement. He went as far as to explain the reasoning and showed me exactly how to check the tank quickly by just knocking on it. He said he could quickly replace it & acknowledged that typically in this situation they would also replace the pressure relief valve, but after examining it & confirming I had just replaced it, he recommended just the expansion tank swap. Will quickly handled the swap & the entire process from him pulling into my driveway to shaking hands upon departure took less than 30 minutes. He was extremely knowledgeable & took the time to explain what he was doing, why he was doing it, and how I could monitor this issue in the future, should my tank need replacing again, with explaining they typically lasted 5-6 years on average. After departing I was expecting a large invoice in the mail, just as expectations on having a qualified, trained company take care of an issue come with a usual high fee, I was extremely pleased that this whole process ran me ~$250, which I was more than happy to pay. This was truly a 5 star experience & really gave me faith that there are still good companies out there that don't try to take advantage of people or nickel & dime you. Will could have easily said he also needed to replace the valve on my water heater or perform other diagnostics to drive the service visit up, but he didn't and I truly appreciate the care he provided. A+ all the way around.

They have earned every 5 star review they get. To start with, they are fast, efficient and reasonably priced. The plumbers are all incredibly knowledgeable and expert in their field. My parents used them for years and every time the plumbers fixed the problem with minimum fuss. Their customer service is standout. I know this review sounds boilerplate but it really isn't . It's just that everything they promise they deliver on, and how rare is that in this day and age? A huge thanks to everyone at Berleth!

The best in the business! My husband and I have used Jack Berleth & Sons for all our plumbing needs since the first day we purchased our new home. Steven Kennaugh has gone above and beyond the call of duty to assist us - we had some issues (heat, water, etc.) last year and he made sure he was there every single step of the way to ensure we were up and running. Whether he was referring us to others who can help, or doing the job himself, his expertise and advice have proven extremely beneficial to us, he is also extremely kind and the type of person you want to give your work too. His estimates/timing of work are fair and reasonable. The entire crew at Jack Berleth are professional, efficient - they have perfected their skill and this is why they have been in business for so long. We just had our pipes moved in from the outside (to avoid freezing in the winter) and the work is simply perfect. They were able to save us storage space under our sink and insulate the panels so there will be no risk of frozen pipes. Entire job completed under 4 hours - AMAZING! They are friendly, well-mannered and respectful of your property. There is no other plumbing business that can compare - they are simply the absolute best on Long Island. We cannot say enough great things.

Found Jack Berleth on the Navien website. They are hands-down the best plumbing company I have ever used. Had a Co2 leak that no other plumber identified. They found it immediately then rearranged their schedule to replace my boiler system so I wouldn’t be without heat/hot water. The owner (Steve) even brought me space heaters on a Saturday to use while I was without heat.. They had to come back because my old piping was not compatible with the new system so they spent another half day at no charge making things right. I will never use another company for my plumbing needs. Best experience ever! Thanks Steve, Kieran, and Judy!!!
